would you buy from hashie or havelock as of now ?  Huh seems like havelock has been around for a lot longer.. are there any special benefits to buy from hashie?  Undecided otherwise i think íll go havelock..
The vast majority of AMHash shares are through Havelock. So there is a larger buy/sell market in the event you want to sell your shares before they expire. Otherwise age and reputation are the only differences.

.. and don't forget about market depth hashie is too small to sell large orders but havelock you can sell at anytime and get paid fast, and they allow saving of btc address Tongue now if only there was an daily auto withdraw system setup

Well I got a request.. how about adding a total in btc mined? I can see how much i paid for my contracts and you already show how much $$ was paid out; but  seeing the price btc changes daily a nice total btc amount or altcoin to btc price would be REALLY nice Smiley

Thanks

Lets look at the source code.

No hybrid flex to be found, it's just another nasty PeerCoin fork with not notable changes whatsoever. Still even has little bits of PeerCoin hanging around. Unbelievably it's such an old fork of Bitcoin that it retains IRC support, except it will join the #bitcoin channels because their find and replace didn't quite get everything.

The pre-mine is predictable, the first block makes an insane number of coins for GAW. Interestingly if anybody wanted they could have forked the network right back from the genesis block and taken the 12M coins for themselves, the difficulty is a bit high to do that now though unless you have 1Ph/s in your pocket. Up until 20 hours the PoW miners actually got a lot more block reward, but this was changed down for some reason.

Code:
int64 GetProofOfWorkReward(int nHeight, unsigned int nTime)
{
    int64 nSubsidy = 0;
    if(nHeight == 1){
        nSubsidy = 12000000 * COIN;
    }else if(nTime <= POW_START_TIME){
        nSubsidy = 0 * COIN;
    }else if(nTime < POW_END_TIME){
        nSubsidy = 49 * COIN;
    }
    return nSubsidy;
}

There's no months of work here, they just picked a random altcoin developer a week ago to make another poor fork of PeerCoin, tweak some values, add a logo and some fresh paint from the hardware store, and sell it as gold. We weren't expecting much better though, were we Smiley

Looks like they were planning to move from hashtalk.org to paycointalk.org as well.

Well here is a question, that i posted on hashtalk that got skipped over it seems.. if its like peercoin any wallet holder/qt wont it auto stake just by holding the coins? Don't need any super duper amazing super node or what ever they going to call it?

X11 isnt profitable at all right now so thats probly why we havent heard anything from genesis about it. I really wish they would just let us mine at our own pools with our hash. I would buy more and not even bitch about the payouts if they would do that, the first cloud company to make that happen will make alot of money.

Agree. Killer feature.

We like the idea, though there are a few things that need to be considered:

1) we want to keep a simple user interface and not confuse other miners; this can be solved for sure, but needs to be done carefully
2) the hashrate can only be sent on an average basis. For example, if a user wants to point 1 MH/s to a pool and our smallest miner is 24 MH/s then we would have to point 24 MH/s to this pool for one hour. This is not ideal.
3) if the pool is crappy, or there are some technical problems we would see high reject rates and unhappy faces.

Probably we would require that mining on your own pool happens at least for 24 hours. Furthermore, we would probably require that the maintenance fee is paid from the user balance. In turn the hashrate would be fully used for mining coins.

Technically, it can be done for sure in a reasonable time frame. This would be an advanced feature which only experienced users should use.

Please let me know if you have any comments.

Well I got an GAWsome plan..
Mirror what a x amount of hashrate on Y pool would earn and pay us that way and not even move your miners..

Hey it worked for GAW  Smiley

Our daily maintenance fee for these new Scrypt contracts are 0.04 USD per MH/s.

Question does this new lower maintenance fee also apply to your older contracts as well or just new contracts?

Well i have managed to keep quite long enough.. have read both threads and all 200+ pages on each "wow head hurts" anyways been with GAW for little over 2 months and had invested ~ 33 mh/s in zens/primes .. that's until i started reading this thread and watching old Josh daily change his mind on what HP were going to be used for and then forcing people to mine HP only that or take an .0000001 btc daily payout on there investments..

I managed to get all my btc  (back i think..) maybe even a little profit but the straw that broke the camels back is him saying on youtube that the primes had a limited staking slots and the rest of the hashlets if there any space left would convert to stakers.. then today he goes and puts back up the hashstakers up for sale knowing full well he is literally screwing his customers over doing this.

So i posted on hashtalk asking what was he doing and who had more then 1 stage to an ICO?

Anyways I'll probably get band and post removed.. will take me seconds to get over that one..

Hash On  just not at GAW

588  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Bitcoin Exchange. BTC/USD, BTC/EUR. Official page*** on: November 30, 2014, 11:14:44 PM
Someone see if i am right on this maths  Shocked

3 th/s = 3000 gh/s * .11 cents (so sue me i rounded up i know its 10.5 cents per gh/s per month) = $330 a month in fees

At the time of this post btc is ~ $375 per btc and according to this web site: https://alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator

per Day   0.03743718 BTC   $14.22
per Week   0.26206027 BTC   $99.55  <.. (this is your payout.  3/4 of that is going to cex.io)
per Month   1.13949421 BTC   $432.86   <... that's what a month is so subtract $330 - $432 = ~ $102

So buying 3 th/s on cex will net you only $102 and btw the price of btc/ghs at time of post is ~ .0015 btc = BTC4.5 meaning you would pay $1,687.50 to earn $102 a month
and Lord help you trying to reach ROI with that 102/1687 = 17 months.

So I'll let you decide is it a good time to buy cloud hashing on cex?

Icon

PS

I know i didn't even count the difficulty increase that will even eat up the $102 profit over the next 17 months.. ((too much of a hassle)) i think i made my point .

lol i got just over 1 gh/s cloud mining and for the past 3 days my btc balance barely gets above zero then plummets back down to negative btc. There is no way i would invest at this time, not till btc prices goes back up..

You don't really need a CC just use a debit card with the visa/mastercard logo.. they act just like a cc and coinbase will never know.

No, they know and they know immediately. Already tried that.

Well i am lvl 3 is it? or lvl 2 which ever is the highest using the same bank debit card thats linked to my btc bank account Smiley but did it like 6 months ago..

592  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis-Mining Review on: October 30, 2014, 06:16:30 PM
I am quite surprised to still see some positive reviews on Genesis-Mining, here and on some blogs. It's quite far from my own experience.

I've taken a yearly, Scrypt Mining 2 MH/s contract, at $158 on the 21/8/2014 at Genesis-Mining. The results have always been quite disappointing and I wrote to them about it in September. They made a vague answer, saying that things would change soon. But they didn't, and I never heard from them again.

Almost 3 months after the beginning of my contract, it has generated a mere $17. These days, my revenues are about $1 a week (!). No need to be a math genius to understand that there is no way this contract will ever be profitable. See by yourself:

So here is my review:

I believe/hope genesis contacts are life time not yearly..

Coinbase says they don't truly receive your money from you immediately when they debit your account, so they institute a 5-day delay. This delay can be removed by adding a credit card. So I tried to get a credit card for this purpose and I was denied. I had also tried to get Paypal BillMeLater recently and I was denied for that too. I don't think BillMeLater would have worked for Coinbase, but it's obviously worth mentioning. My history: I got into debt with credit cards once, which I neglected for about a year, and eventually my parents paid it all off over the course of about 3 years.

Anyway, I was hoping to get a credit card that I could strictly use as an add-on for Coinbase and I would never use it. Does anyone have any suggestions for what cards to apply for?

Altcoins are nothing other than cannon farter for btc.. a way for the poor man to get a little btc.. Look at it this way why climb a mountain when you could just go around it?

595  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: *** GHash.IO mining pool official page *** on: October 25, 2014, 04:50:02 PM
First off before i start just want to say i am not defending  gash/cex with this post .. read my previous post.

That said..

The reason you are getting a negative amount is regardless if they (gash) find a block or not you are charged per gh/s you own, its a gamble if they find a block or not, in the past  gash.io had a large part of the total hash rate now they are 1/4 of the total network that is ~ 250+ ph/s. Gash.io is 60 ph/s, meaning they are more unlikely to find a block vs someone else with larger hash rate. Either way you are still paying for the time they spent mining for you. Just like if you were a business paying people to mine for you in a river panning for gold, if they didn't find any gold or not you would still have to pay them their hourly rate. You would still owe your workers there pay checks. Same goes for gash.io  and the main reason you get a negative amount of btc is due to how low btc is atm, gash.io charges fees in $ so that means they need more btc to cover the fees

Hope this explains how all this "stuff works"

Icon

PS

Some companies (GAW miners) is one are experiencing the same thing with how low btc is vs their maintenance fees, but unlike gash.io, GAW miners just gives you a zero payout for that day if fees are higher then what was mined.

596  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: *** GHash.IO mining pool official page *** on: October 24, 2014, 05:18:50 PM
Just an FYI, when the price of BTC (as it is now) is low all you are doing on cex is mining to pay your maintenance fees, and as far as how long it takes to find a block, that's called randomness, meaning one pool can not be counted on consistent to make payouts do to how bitcoin mining works.

And for buying gh/s to hold is a complete waste of time and money, only purpose for cex is to buy low and sell high and the payouts think of that as interest cex is paying you for holding your btc.

597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of Bitcoin nodes. Why nobody talks about it ? on: October 24, 2014, 02:11:10 AM
When someone runs bitcoin-qt in his personal machine connected to the internet with default configuration, is not he running a full node ?
Not unless he also opens Port 8333 on his firewall.

Actually you are... you have the same amount of data as a business does, its that only ~ 8 people can access it .

Now to get more people to run full nodes, do like darkcoin does.. their supernoods get a % of each block that is found.. The more connections you have to your node the more of the btc fees you get.

FYI, the higher the hash rate the more the bitcoin is secure..

well this ought to make your day, according to zero block the network hash rate has drooped now sure the of the % but the time to solve a block as time of post is 11.43 mins.

network hash is @ 217,101,632 ph/s

600  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Difficulty retargeting with lower hashrate question.. on: September 30, 2014, 03:13:33 AM
thanks, that is what i was looking for.. well looks like a long wait for the next 2016 blocks.. @ 11.16 mins now per block and counting..

Seems with the price of btc lowering big miner companies have shut off some of there mining power.. meaning the diff is high but not enough hashing power to push them blocks..
