Do you know what is the current status of SegWit and when will it be released?

Satoshi is working on it. Write him a letter:

Mostly agreed. We still need to support and develop alt implementations like bitcore and libbitcoin but always having a coup at our heals is a threat to user and investor confidence.

It's been this way for how much? 5 months already?

The U.S gonna pump, media scare, then dump, weak hands shitting their pants. And again and again.

That'll learn me.

Didn't read but I miss you. Nice hat, grandpa.
586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blocks are full. on: January 20, 2016, 03:17:25 PM

i have not been into all this bitcoin stuff for so long , but from all i read so far , i cant realy see why so much people are hating on bigger block sizes. Becuse all i can see and hear right now is that bitcoins would benfit from it a great deal.

Write a letter to the Bitcoin headquarters tech support, and ask them to raise the block limit to 4MB.

There are other issues with small blocks. Long transaction confirmations times are just the tip of the ice'n'berg. I believe that's why Satoshi was so blasé about how easy it was to increase the limit with a simple change.

There are other issues with morons like you. Long to validate transactions are just the tip of iceberg. I believe that's why I've just Ignored you.
588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blocks are full. on: January 20, 2016, 03:09:04 PM
Right now Bitcoin's price is rallying and block are full. According to blockchain.info backlog of unconfirmed transactions is 11.6 MB right now and as far as I know there is now spam or stress test going on. How worse does it need to get?

Well, we were expecting thermonuclear war, so this seems pretty good so far.

BITFINEX !!!

Whatever you do, mind that the network is flooded with some attack today, again.

This means your coins can get delayed for several hours.

Just my opinion.
591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: more lives than a cat! on: January 20, 2016, 02:34:51 PM
I try to ignore people who say bitcoin is dead when it's obviously not dead at all
Bitcoin is growing and changing in value everyday
People like to say that bitcoin is dead because the drop that happens every time.

Mind the drops.

More orwellian bullshit. "Switzerland is not a democracy and North Korea is not a dictatorship."

If you had real knowledge on the matter you would:
1) Stop talking nonsense.
2) Realize the pros and cons of a hard fork in comparison to a Soft work.
3) Stop complaining that SegWit is a 'crappy workaround', when it fact it is not.

Well said.
595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar on: January 20, 2016, 01:21:30 PM

Everything you said is acceptable except one that you said as replacing the USD and taking position as reserve currency. USD dollar has a long back history by which attained this level. But bitcoin evolved only years back which is not that easy to take over USD's place

Dollar is strong, they have to quantitative easing it sooner or lather. Otherwise they gonna suffer from trade deficit.

But this will shoot Bitcoin directly to the moon.
596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is DEAD... on: January 20, 2016, 01:19:30 PM
Bitcoin is Dead meanwhile blocks are still mined.

Cool story bro.
597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: January 20, 2016, 01:14:03 PM
Banks has its own role in the community and will be always with us.

Most banks eventually crash. Like all man-made enterprises.

If Bitcoin survives a hardfork, It'll be unstoppable.
599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ToominCoin aka "Bitcoin_Classic" #R3KT on: January 20, 2016, 01:06:24 PM

Rage level over 9000. threats of nuclear options. Stick with us or else.

Keep pushing the agenda that it's everyone else trying to "destroy Bitcoin" though won't y'all.
2 MB blocks are indeed dangerous ATM. It is possible to construct a transaction that would take too long to validate (over 10 minutes) due to the quadratic scaling (validation time).

There are other issues with large blocks. Long to validate transactions are just the tip of iceberg. I believe that's why Satoshi eventually deferred the removal of his limit.

Worst thing can happen is Mt Gox.

Coins will appear on winner chain no matter what.
