No bitcoin can not make banks disappear. Banks are not dependent on bitcoin, no matter how successful bitcoin might get in the future.

There are always going to be people who are using bitcoin without having another option.

I would like to see that happen, disappearing of banks sounds great. But unfortunately that will not happen. For me its hard to predict what will banks do about and with bitcoin but for sure they have some plans. What is for some bank couple million dollars,  they can came in the game when ever they wish, maybe they are in now who can tell?

Not when the people who believed in bitcoin's inception keeps going towards the cheese that the banks keep dangling infront of their faces. Roll Eyes They have deep pocket to pay them as much as they want to work for them. Hence, this policy person that was working at coinbase getting on to try and obliterate bitcoin's growth.
He did this back on Nov.23 2015 but it is up in the news on coindesk now for some reason.  Undecided

Bitcoin? No. But if a gov't decides that its currency will be a crypto, then the banks will not longer be necessary. The ones that survive will be those that shrink back down to a honest loans company.

Banks have deep pockets.
They can buy all the fintech companies they want and remain competitive.

it really depends on how much traction bitcoin bitcoin can get. if alot of people learn about bitcoin and see what it can do, thers a very good possibility it can take over banks, but even if that happens im guessing tons of people woudlnt want to switch to bitcoin from their bank accounts.

Banks are for profits. If they see adopting bitcoin will benefit then and will adopt it as soon as possible. Bitcoin is just new, and not mature yet. They just wait and see a good opportunity to jump into the boat.

The real question that you should be asking is whether Bitcoin will take over fiat. If it did, banks would not be here anymore.

I don't think that we want to take over the debt, the equity, the bonds, the sub-prime, the junk bonds, the compliance excuses for all of those ... there are plenty of those things for banks to do after the truly productive trade amongst themselves in bitcoin.  I don't see why an oil production business should settle for $30 a barrel, nor why a factory in China should pay a component factory in Malaysia in $ for moulded polyethylene components.  If their finished products can sometimes be traded for BTC then I'm more likely to be able to buy them.

Bitcoin has a good potential power in its field,

But not so much like disappearing completely the Banks.

Banks has its own role in the community and will be always with us.

Most banks eventually crash. Like all man-made enterprises.

Besides that, millions and millions of people are still depending on banks. Even though mass adaption would do a lot to bitcoin, not nearly enough people will adapt to bitcoin.

Simply because most people like to have things in order and are used to what they use on a daily basis.

What i think is, that Bitcoin will be used for online payments. But we will probably still use credit cards and cash when paying outside of the internet. So they will not dissappear.

That is for sure that will happen also Dollar or Euro or other curerncy won't just disapear.
I bet that people won't just give there bitcoin to the bank.
That is the point of bitcoin that you can control your own money and not the bank or the goverment.

more like bitcoin will suck the bank, if none use bank anymore, you will get the same situation, as now, where banks are niche market and bitcoin is commanding the world

I doubt that people won't use bank anymore for this daily life bank is important for people to pay the taxes or other thinks.
I think that bank won't just disappear even the banks suck. The fiat money or gold need to disappear, before the bank will disappear.
