I'm pretty sure he's slow because he has a billion PMs asking him the same thing. Wink

I can imagine, that besides regular day job it is pretty time consuming and frustrating of everybody asking same thing over and over again...
583  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Official ASICMINER Block Erupter Europe info & sale thread --> Price update on: August 07, 2013, 01:20:59 PM
I never accused him nor doubted of him, it's just a little information of what is going on would be helpful.. eg: testing promotion code system on website, should take 1-2 days, after that promo code is given/send/pm/... and you have until 15th on august to place order. due to fact that some of you ordered before the webshop i need to verify quantities...

something like that would be useful.. or I'm too impatient.. probably i am.. yes definitely i am

yxt is the official reseller for Europe and since he promised to offer 1x Erupter at 0.1BTC for all previous 0.99BTC(+) Erupters sold, just wait until he accepts the orders from his customers.
He's not very communicative and seems (maybe he isn't, who knows) a bit slow at times, but he's very trustworthy, keeps the promises he made and doesn't screw his customers.

please tell me if i'm wrong but weren't there 8 day window to order usb sticks at special price? and i still don't know even how to register my interest...
585  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: July 31, 2013, 11:57:50 AM
I have a question, why is the starter kit advertised as 25gh/s if there are 16 chips on it, shouldn't it be 16*2.7GH/s ~ 40GH/s...

The chips on the starter kit and H-boards are clocked at ca. 1.5 GH/s each. These boards were originally designed for the 100TH project, they are underclocked to increase efficiency.

If you buy individual chips and build your own board, you can push them to 2.7GH/s (I think cscape even achieved 3.4GH/s).

what is underclocked can be overclocked? right?

587  Bitcoin / Hardware / possible KnC/bitfury hosting..? on: July 25, 2013, 11:29:39 AM
Hi,

While I was adding mem for one of my servers in DC, I realised I could offer hosting if anybody interested.

here are some thoughts:

1) i'm in estonia - close to sweden and finland to ship me your devices (i don't have time to go and pickup my self)
2) i have orders from KnC and bitfury myself
3) i have several businesses one of them is offering VPS's so with some thinking I could save you from VAT (i think we must sign a contract that I will "buy" KnC device from KnC but all right to the device belong to you or something.. this is a legal thing and needs a little thinking with persons who know these things, but anyway if i'm hosting your device i will not do anything without hosting contract - a signed contract is a must.
4) KnC device is little more than 4U, if I install a shelf, I can rent you 5U space, I don not know how hot these miners are, but maybe you can put 2 miners on one shelf.. DC room has proper cooling, where cold air is pumped out the floor in front of racks, so each server/miner/device can intake cold air.
5) i can install some linux firewall and a switch infront of miners, where agreed tcp port(s) are for forwarded to your device
6) you configure you own device, I'll help to that point where you can remotly log in (i setup IP and after that you change you password and configure mining)

price for 1U space is 150 eur for 3 months + VAT.. that includes all costs (space, internet, electricity, possible manual restarts..) sorry can't do without VAT legal business and no monkey business.. if you have your own business inside EU and have a valid tax ID you don't have to pay tax, I must check from my accountant (who is on vacation at the moment), but I think that selling service to US is also VAT free, but I might be wrong.

paymen is by invoice 1 quarter in front, if payment is late, device will be powered off after already paid period ends and will be powered on after money is in bank account.

so KnC needs 5U = 600eur + 20%vat -> 720eur / one quarter (3 months)

sorry no monthly payments, I don't have time for that, this is not a business, it's just for fun and earn a few euros for beer or something.

If there will fit 2 devices, then price is the same.

Bitfury is a smaller so you can fit more devices there.. maybe 4?

this is not official offer, these were my thoughts..

If community wants it, I can do that.. as I'm pretty much unknown here, I can prove my identity and whatever things to some trusted member..
I'm active btc miner from 2011.

So hit me with you thoughts and tomatoes Smiley

to my un-professional eye, similarity is frighteningly close if not to say identical.. but yet again.. it is the same design...

OK. It is finally mining again :-)
If someone fells into similar trouble, here is my escape route:
1) I did power off and on the unit but it did not help.
2) After that, I went to System -> Backup / flash firmware -> Perform reset
3) Whole configuration went to default, but after entering all the settings it still did not mine (although Cgminer status was at least Avalon Alive)
4) Then I powered it off and on again, and suddenly yellow led disappeared and it started mining :-)

Lucky you, but not helping me..

Loose wire? Control unit dead?

Never cloked high than 300Mhz, and ambient temp is 20C.

Any ideas, besides opening it up (as I can't access it in two weeks)?

593  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon clone assembly [15 Avalons + 10 extra modules + enclosure + heat sinks] on: May 30, 2013, 05:48:20 AM
How about cloning Avalon ASIC modules for Avalon owners? I'm very interested in purchasing a 4th module for my rig. Is that possible to you?
And how about costs and delivery delay considering your manufacturing capacity?

Today for me is day 14 since i sent 5,000€ to our friend Gox. Still no way...
Imagine how I am happy.

Wow that is pretty long, I've made a couple of transactions with them in the past, it's never taken that long, I'm still in my 3-4 day wait.  but now you're making me nervous.

SEPA might take some time, I had similar issue. I was suggested to cancel my SEPA transfer and use international. I waited.. about 1,5month.. finally it went through.

edit: it migth be both ways that SEPA is slow due to queues and limits of somekind..
