Those bids can also be shorts trying to close

583  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bottom is in at $215 buying like crazy on: April 20, 2015, 03:14:40 PM
If it drops into the one hundreds I will be buying them up like a madman.

101% sure this won't happen.

The odds of breaking down to 180 is greater than 300 atm

well this is obvious, we are talking about -44,4 against +75.6, however how i see it is that the odds that bitcoin falls to sub 100 are lower than the probability to reach 500

Double digits can happen, but something would have to trigger it (something along the lines of a large hack).  I think worst case 125-133.  It all depends on how much ammo this bear whale has and where the stop losses are.

I pretty much share the same short-term view.

Here's DanV's newest projection.

<snip>

Shocked So effectively the guy that predicted Bitcoin's spiralling down to, what, $50 has now predicted a turnaround and bounce-off of about current levels? Interesting turn of events.

No. If you understand what he has written on TV, and the chart labelling, he is opening up to the possibility that we are still in a corrective move from the $166 low. See his green line to $360, labelled [C] - that would mark the end of the correction (from $166) and resumption of the downtrend to new lows at $xx(x?). IDK if this significantly alters his downside target, but it would certainly drag this bear market out several months longer than his previous count, which had us starting the move to new lows from $300 a month ago. Pick your poison ...

EW counts evolve with price action. To him this current action does not fit well with his previously published chart, so he is publishing a new one, as any sensible analyst would do.
Remember - the best EW analysts have multiple counts running in parallel at any one time. It is only by excluding those that are invalidated and focussing on those with the higher probabilities (according to EW rules) that they stay on track. But they will keep an eye on alt-counts in order to switch if the primary count is invalidated/looks less probable.

Here is the link to the chart with his commentary:

I doubt that the breaking down would stop at 210$. Once 4h and 6h MACD divergence would turn negative, IMO large dumps would break the key 210$ support level.
So if the market will go up to 300+, it has to start pumping soon, without any major drops before.

I think it's to late for a pump to stop the divergence.

P.S. Be careful while quoting trolls. It's common here to put on ignore trolls along with those who quotes them.
Note: The reason for this is because they often use sock puppets to support themselves. Quoting trolls is not a bad thing if it is topical and poignant. Anyone that iggies you for adding topical contest is simply a fool. If I see an ignored poster quoted making valid arguments, I will usually un-ignore them.

+1

This is why I don't use the ignore function.  I can easily filter through the shit, but once in a while a sock account will make a valid and well constructed comment.

You must love using the down page (pg dn button) quite frequently then mister D to avoid the rubbage. That's a long run to deal with for being compassionate.

Lol

I can skim through shit pretty quickly.

I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

Is kinda textbook...

Yeah, but a sucker is born every minute.

mmmm i have a feeling things are going to get ugly within 8 hrs
590  Economy / Speculation / Re: Shorts on Bitfinex at a all time high! on: April 19, 2015, 08:43:15 PM
To close out those shorts coins have to be bought back. They have around 20K coins on finex for sell. It was a joke about million dollar coins, but just wanted to point out there are more shorts than can be closed. Or am I missing something?

If I borrow something and sell it, and then I have to buy back in able to return what I sold but there isn't enough out there no matter the price, what do I do?

Also, I don't need bitcoin to be above 300. I want as many coins as possible, shorters are helping me accumulate. But seeing the order books I would not short myself.

The same can easily be stated for those longs being margin called,  not enough bids.  price would also implode
591  Economy / Speculation / Re: Shorts on Bitfinex at a all time high! on: April 19, 2015, 07:00:31 PM
I have new shorts opened at 225 and old ones at 254 both on 20x

I only have 400 open at 225, 700 at 254

Ok, then you might not like what is going to happen in the next couple of hours (price is at $226 per coin as we speak).

Just like on Thursday right?  You do know that was a manipulation show correct?  Same show was on Wednesday as well.

20x leverage??

Can I ask what price your lower short (@225) would be liquidated should the price rise?

About 236ish without buying more

Getting an urge to go leverage long with my 50 btc play stash. Must. Not. Give. In. Smiley

I think there's a bit more downside (sorry guys). Technically things aren't looking great unless you can call this low volume chopping around a bottom--I can't. 3d macd solidly in the red. Daily chart bear flag in the works looking a bit foreboding. Whales seem intent on getting a panic shakeout near 200s or lower. Save your longs until then when everyone's freaking out.

All this chopping around from 220-230 is fake.  The people who do get caught in the middle are those who are buying those shorts.

Thursday show @230 I gotto admit was pretty good.
594  Economy / Speculation / Re: Critical Levels - EW analysis on: April 19, 2015, 06:07:13 PM
Very good as usual.

I'm counting a pop or run up to 228-232 before this slide down.

Shorters will get their ass margin called within 30 days. Grin

I hope not, I'm making money offering BTC for swaps Wink

Funny saying this as Bulls are on the verge of being called.

Let me guess, you're shorting as we speak.

28,1xx shorts

How many till they let it rip you think?  30k?

Swap rates are low

Yet the price hovering at the same level it has been for like a week now. If nothing significant happens (hint: Monday) then don't expect anything dramatic happening in price. Nevertheless, I expect some movement if CERTAIN factors we've been waiting for A LONG time to come, hit the streets in two days... but then again; it's bitcoinland. You never know for sure what's gonna happen.  Roll Eyes

Well we're actually $15 lower.  Last Saturday we hovered 236-240 and stayed there till Monday morn around 11am(my time) then the dump hit.
