On investment help page some numbers are wrong.

Code:
(9.9677*0.5*0.01) + (9.6774*5*0.01) + (9.3548*10*0.01)
= 1.4691885
!= 1.46919354

Also in the above of it, you calculated investments of user :
Code:
A user won 1 btc from bankroll

before    after           kelly
1 ->     9.96774193        (.5)
1 ->     9.67741935        (5)
1 ->     9.35483870        (10)

3 ->    28.99999998

It shouldn't be 29.00000000? Where is that 2 satoshi went?

Hi, thanks for pointing that out. I rounded these numbers to 4 decimal places for speed in the forum post that I took this text from and so you are correct, the numbers don't add up to exactly what it shows. If you were to substitue the numbers properly they do:
(9.96774193*0.5*0.01) + (9.67741935*5*0.01) + (9.35483870*10*0.01)  = 1.46919354

And again with your other example it's just rounding them for easier post in forum.

I'll update the faq page asap with the correct figures.
Don't worry though, the actual calculations on site are done to larger precision and so there are no rounding issues like that.

We're back on now. Upgraded server which took a little time to move everything over.

Should help with the lag that we had the past few days.

Just lowered the bet throttle times for small bets by 50% so if botting smaller amounts you should get in twice as many bets per minute now.
585  Economy / Gambling / Re: PocketRocketsCasino.eu - 90BTC max payout! New updated website + promos on: January 12, 2015, 09:29:04 AM
Nice big win this morning for User9517

Also just moved some more funds over to the investors wallet since there was some concern the other day about that.

In the competition djarno is now ahead for most wagered with 3224 wagered.

Wilco still in lead with the most bets with almost 725,000.

Will need to calculate streaks but seems melds39 is in the lead with 20 losses in a row.

I noticed a disturbance in the force this evening while getting stoned and I checked the PRC chat.

Appears people are having a withdraw issues, so I checked the cold wallet.

https://blockchain.info/address/1FhxjhFb1YudGC1vtV4FuLpQc2uHzq3XFd

Looks like 100 coins not there + Dean just said the hot wallet was empty.

It used to be the case that all user deposit addresses were offline addresses, so you can't just add up "hot wallet + published cold wallet", see that the total is less than the bankroll and scream "insolvent!" - because you would also need to include the balances of all the (presumably unknown) deposit addresses.

That's not to say the casino is solvent, just that you've not proved that it isn't.

It's not solvent because 100 btc isn't in the cold wallet?

If the invested doesn't add up to the number of coins in the wallet then you have a issue (obviously.)

Dean probably is solvent, but I was just wondering if there was any way he could prove it or if there it's only shown 93% and 7% in who knows where.

We used to have managers who would try to float our deposits over night and I'm just wondering if there is a $50,000 line of credit per say for Dean via BR.

It's been documented before that that address will have at least 90% of investor funds in it. At time of writing it has 93% so all good.

That is because some ends up being sent to a wallet to allow faster withdrawls.

If showing you have 90% or 93% rather than 100% is good for investors then I guess whatever floats their boat.

As Dooglus mentioned, all deposits go to an offline address. The funds will stay there until I either move them to investor cold storage or send to intermediate wallet or the hot wallet.

The intermediate is just to have quicker access to top up hot wallet instead of taking it from the investors wallet.

I'll move more over to the investors wallet tomorrow.

Are the other coins stored in deposit addresses and could you possibly please prove that your solvent?

I keep getting "Error placing bet" and have no indication of my bet went through or not, the only thing I can do is refresh my page and then look at "my bets". In each case this has happened, the bet *has* gone through.

Not had anyone else getting this, people are betting ok right now.
What browser are you using? Try Chrome. What's your user id?

Yeah it was in chrome. It seems to only be the first bet of the page load, but once I have been able to successfully bet it seems fine, and all subsequent bets are fine. Perhaps I'm betting before some state is initiailized? FWIW -- I have extremely slow internet

Perhaps it was an issue betting before initialise. Obviously slow internet would make that worse but I'll look into seeing what the issue was and resolving it.

Just uploaded a fix for that.

So, yeah...could have let us know that prcdice.eu was going down.  had no idea why the site wasn't loading until I came looking for the new comments about the site address.

Sorry for the confusion. I have been saying for months now that it would change and every day since the new launch I have tried to let everyone know not to use the old site. I sent an email to everyone who had set one too. The main problem is the host has not forwarded prcdice properly and seems to have issues with https/www so looking into that.

So again just use https://pocketrocketscasino.eu

593  Economy / Gambling / Re: PocketRocketsCasino.eu - NEW UPDATE, NEW YEAR PRIZES, largest dice invest site on: January 06, 2015, 03:23:41 PM
Added new Investment and provably fair help pages.
Also a link to the 3rd party verifier at dicesites.com/pocketrocketscasino/verifier
Note that the starting nonce on the verifier should be 0 not 1.
I will get the site admin to change that asap but you can set it yourself.

I think what the problem is your feedback score. It is scaring a few new people from joining.

Not too much I can do about it. It was given unfairly as you can tell by reading the comments of the feedback.

It's up to players and investors to leave positive feedback if they trust me and Pocket Rockets Casino.
595  Economy / Gambling / Re: PocketRocketsCasino.eu - NEW UPDATE, NEW YEAR PRIZES, largest dice invest site on: January 05, 2015, 01:56:00 PM
Currently the most wagered is by User1816 with 316 wagered.
In 2nd is peppe with 284.

Most bets currently goes to Wilco with 256,590.
2nd is user 1335 with 112,967.

I'll check the unluckiest so far and post later. Could be melds with his 19 losses in a row.

The contest goes on until the 17th so still plenty time to take part.

Need leader board. 19 streak still the best  Wink

At x2 payout? If so, that's hard to beat.

My best so far is 9 loses at x1.95

Hope to have leaderboards up tonight so you can check.
Just working on fixing the high roller/my bets tab issues just now though.
597  Economy / Gambling / Re: PocketRocketsCasino.eu - NEW UPDATE, NEW YEAR PRIZES, largest dice invest site on: January 03, 2015, 09:33:44 AM
I'm thinking a message confirming that the site is aware of the delay and for the user to wait it out ("Sorry this is taking longer than expected!") is better than the implication the the bet didn't go through, like it does now.  Seems like one of those issues where it'd be hard to find a good balance...

Actually that could be the better one. I'll implement that.
Thanks

Small bug report.  Not really a bug necessarily, but an annoyance that could be bad!  When rolling, a single roll will occasionally lag and return a red pop-up with a "roll didn't go through, try again" message (I don't remember the exact text), so I'll immediately try the same roll again but the previous roll that I thought was already nullified *did* indeed go through and shows up two seconds later.  I imagine somebody wanting to do a single 1 BTC roll, getting that error thinking it didn't go through so they roll again immediately, only to find out that the original roll did go through and they're now down 2 BTC instead of the 1 they were anticipating.  If that pop-up shows up saying the roll didn't go through, the roll damn well better not go through.   Smiley

Hope this makes sense!  I can discuss it more in chat when you're on again.

Hi, thanks for the report.

The way it is setup is the browser will wait 5 seconds on a bet coming back. If it has not then that message is displayed. It was meant for slower connections or if there were server issues.

Maybe then 5 seconds isn't long enough and I should put it to 10-15 seconds?

Here's an explanation of how the leveraged kelly system works on the new site, quoted from another post:

The leveraged kelly option is really to reduce counter party risk for investors.
Example, say you want to invest 10 Bitcoin at the normal risk of 1/2 kelly but don't want to have the risk of a site operator holding on to all your Bitcoin. You could instead deposit 0.5 Bitcoin and invest at 10x kelly.

This puts more of your investment at risk each bet and you may need to redeposit and top up your investment account frequently due to the variance of the game. So really you should have the coins in your own cold wallet to back up the desired investment total. Obviously some people may just want to gamble and risk their full 10 Bitcoin at 10x to try and maximise profit. This is not recommended though.

The maximum payout of the site is calculated by taking the sum of all the investments * risk * 0.01.

So imagine we had user A with 10 Bitcoins invested at 1/2 kelly, B with 10 at 5x and C with 10 at 10x.
The max payout would be:

(10*0.5*0.01) + (10*5*0.01) + (10*10*0.01) = 1.55 Bitcoin

The higher your risk the more you stand to win or lose each bet.

So each bet your investment will be updated like so:
i = i + ((-p * i * r * 0.01) / m)

Where:
p = the players profit for that bet
i = the amount you have invested
r = your risk
m = the current max payout

In the above example lets say a player bets 1 Bitcoin and wins.

The current investments would then be:

iA = 10 + ((-1 * 10 * 0.5 * 0.01 )/1.55) = 9.96774193
iB = 10 + ((-1 * 10 * 5 * 0.01 )/1.55) = 9.67741935
iC = 10 + ((-1 * 10 * 10 * 0.01 )/1.55) = 9.35483870

Max payout on the next bet would then be:

(9.9677*0.5*0.01) + (9.6774*5*0.01) + (9.3548*10*0.01) = 1.46919354

Again, you should only really be using this to reduce counter party risk and actually have the funds in your own cold wallet to replenish your investment as often as needed.
