How can you be sure your donation will not end up being stolen?
Well I guess you can't really be 100% sure, when you are giving to some organisation or someone that collects money for others. My principle is, when I generally trust someone, I will donate and won't think whether it will be used the right way or not. I simply donate and hope for the best. If you really don't trust any 3rd party, then it's best to help someone in need directly. If you look around yourself you will certainly see people that could use your help. Problem solved. I often recommend that approach to those that say they never donate because they are afraid money will be stolen or used the wrong way, but when I suggest them that, they usually ignore or find some other excuse, like they will use money for drugs&alchohol etc(not that it doesn't happen ofc).

I was going to start a new post, but figured bringing this thread back to life might be better. It looks like the new method is to post a copy of a legit announcement with legitimate links and then go back and edit them later. Still using locked / self mod posts.
-Dave Is it in the context of editing the links, then locking the thread and preventing others from warning users about it? Yep. They make copy of already existing announcement thread and use legit links( social media, website, github etc) in order to appear legit and to avoid getting nuked immediately, and later on change legit wallet with malware infected one. That happens basically on the daily basis. That idea about automatically placing locked topics on the bottom of the board sounds like an easy and solution, with no major drawbacks that I can see.

There is a 100% chance that they are going to make an example of this kid, I'm expecting 5-10 years in prison at the very least.
Nah I doubt they will be so harsh. 5 years in a minimum security prison, sentence lowered due good behaviour, probably no prior record and age and he is out in maybe 2-3 years Imho, with whole life ahead of him. After release i can see him working as security consultant or something along those lines and making shit load of money. I can't believe just a 17year old teen carried out that high profile hack. There must be more to this hack talking about bitcoin and giveway. Just a teen couldn't have done that alone for what reason? A proper investigation should be conducted to avoid leaving the bigger devil.
If they really had someone more serious helping them, they wouldn't be caught in such a stupid way. So exactly because of that I think it was just those kids and not some kind of criminal mastermind behind this.

Ne znam dal netko hodla to čudo, ali moguće da je Ethereum Classic imao 51% attack. Šta nisu oni i prošle godine imali tu pizdariju, ako se dobro sjećam? Earlier today, EtherChain, the team behind one of the largest Ethereum mining pool, notified the crypto-verse that Ethereum Classic (ETC) had experienced a chain reorg that pointed out a possible 51%attack on the network. Furthermore, the team advised crypto exchanges to halt deposits and withdrawals of Ethereum Classic as investigations were carried out https://en.ethereumworldnews.com/ethereum-classic-etc-devs-are-investigating-a-possible-51-attack/

I would just like to ad that even if all those things that OP mentioned checks out (team is legit, no plagiarism, website is functional and decent etc) before investing either time (bounty hunter) or money into project, ask yourself does it make any sense, does it bring anything new and does it need blockchain at all. 99% of the time answer to those simple questions will be no.

Since scammers are always following latest trends, it was expected that they will jump on this hype train as well.
I've been victim of phishing in the past due my own negligence and stupidity, so yeah, be careful people, always double check the website, and even better, bookmark those that you are regularly using.

Patience is the key to success, if an investor is not patient, he will also be greedy and this can build a wrong mindset. Patience is one of the keys to success. It is also good because to be knowledgeable and learn from experience, this is a great tool to be used with diligence in achieving greater success.
Patience is a virtue especially if we are talking about investing in BTC (for example dollar cost average method, where you buy BTC constantly over longer period of time ) but when it comes to altcoins it can be a problem. In that case, patience will actually do more harm than good, as people often find it hard to cut their losses and move on. Instead, they hold for a too long, and in the end they become nothing more than a shitcoin bagholders.

Curious also that his payment werent paid, but the team only give the payment for participants. Whats that? A test if he pass management, now people know how they deal with negotiation.
Most likely that was part of the deal, for bounty manager to distribute the bounty tokens. It is a lot of responsibility, and in this case it might even be extra expense for bounty manager, since he wasn't paid for the job done. Anyway, tough situation, as bounty hunters will expect their tokens and will cry and moan if they don't get them. Most of the times they don't even care whether project is legit or not, as long as they get the tokens.

So apparently the exchange scammed this dude for his 0.02 BTC? That's some next-level desperation right there. But what boggles me more is that how do these people even find these random came-out-of-nowehere exchanges in the first place? I always even think twice when depositing coins to freakin Binance, and yet these people deposit money to random exchanges like they can do a cashback ŕ la PayPal.
According to that article that OP linked, he got some shitcoins via bounty campaign, and naturally, those tokens got listed on Lukki exchange. He managed to sell some (0.02 BTC worth) , tried to withdraw and as its usually the case with those dodgy and unknown exchanges, he failed to do that. I would say classic shit exchange story.
@Vimukkthi Vithanage You might wanna properly explain your case in the first post and not just share the article, in case you want to raise the flag against creator of Lukki announcement thread.

But will Murat send tokens to participants before August 12, meaning the participants will be paid in full until now? Based on his last message on the bounty thread he made, seems like he will distribute bounty tokens. Might be an additional expenditure for the him if those tokens are erc20, considering the current transaction prices. LEDU TEAM IS STRAIGHT UP SCAM, DID NOT PAID US FOR BOUNTY MANAGEMENT. We have the token for bounty participants & We will send the tokens soon Before AUGUST 12. Please REMOVE YOUR SIGNATURE ASAP Why is the LEDU team doing this when this was a legitimate project when the bounty was launched and now they are breaking or leaving SCAM.
That is a good question but only Murat can probably give us an answer to that. Maybe they weren't satisfied with the results, maybe they planned that from the beginning. Who knows... What surprises me though is that such an experienced bounty manager accepted campaign without getting money up front, or at least escrowed it.

What happened: Asher Trade is a ponzi scheme that offers 15% daily profit on staked BTC. ANN https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5265705.0Archive https://archive.fo/W8cWWWebsite https://www.ashertrade.com/Archive https://archive.fo/oInz3Domain Name: ASHERTRADE.COM Registry Domain ID: 2343484747_DOMAIN_COM-VRSN Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.publicdomainregistry.com Registrar URL: www.publicdomainregistry.comUpdated Date: 2019-12-07T09:23:31Z Creation Date: 2018-12-15T10:10:18Z Registrar Registration Expiration Date: 2020-12-15T10:10:18Z Everything is obvious from this screenshot. They even go so far that they require 50,001 USD investment for 115% daily profit, while you only have to invest 10 USD for 12% daily profit. Those offers are bs of course as no legitimate business can promise you similar daily returns, not even close.

Well, we can be very much sure that greedy spammers would try to reach their 25/30 posts somehow to grab the highest pay but on the other hand, this would differentiate spammers and non-spammers. To be honest, if someone makes only 15 posts per week that doesn't make him good poster, same as writing 40-50 posts per week doesn't make you spammer or bad poster (quite a few CM members reach 50 posts cap each week). So even if Best_Change implements what you suggested, it wouldn't automatically differentiate bad from good poster. You simply have to look at each poster individually, no matter the payment system. It's true though that no minimum would give more room to good posters that for some reason don't have enough time to meet week quota, but from what I noticed Best_Change is somewhat lenient there so if you are ocassionaly few posts short you won't be kicked immediately. I like @Best_Change approach as it is, where they are constantly "pruning" out less quality/active members and substituting with better ones, making campaign more quality, therefore more successful (we can see that it works, as it's getting harder and harder to get into campaign, competition is tough and you have to be good to get in ).

Very easy job ev3n a kid can do
Every time I see this, especially in the combination with decent money, my first thought is scam. No one will offer 600 usd per month for something as easy unless there is some catch, and that's why OP didn't include any more info about it. First you gotta hook someone with story about easy money... By the way, was anyone curious enough to contact marios22558 and see what's really going on behind that offer?
