61  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members on: November 13, 2020, 04:19:36 PM
1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?

The funny part is, I'm one of the haters of the bitcoin before because I though that it is scam but luckily I made a research about it and look at me right now I'm part of the people who are can considered as one of the supporters of bitcoin. I became interested to cryptocurrencies in the beginning of January 2017.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?

I bought at the validation candle on October 30, 2017. I really remembered that day and the truth is I wrote it in my journal

3. How did you get on the forum?

When I'm not yet a good trader, I keep finding tips or predictions because I thought it is the way in order to be a profitable trader and luckily one of the link that I found is this forum. I forget what topic or what section that my click goes.

4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?

The BANKERS, "the one who prints money" they are afraid that a decentralized currency will adopt by most of the citizens in every economy because they will not able to print cash anymore. They want the currency that we are currently used are the one that they can control and implement.

4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?

For me it depends on how the people see the gambling, there are people who treat gambling as bad but for me it is good as long as we have control to our awareness.

4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?

Actually, 1 year is enough; as long as we are focusing to our education and mindset as a risk taker then we can become a successful investor.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?

Before, I'm against with the merit system because I thought it can destroy the forum where I thought that many will not be interested to make a post here but actually it developed the forum where the system really improved and the farming of shit accounts already stopped.

Signature campaigns are actually good because it created a solid community here in the forum as long as the projects that are promoting is a legit and not a scam.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?

The most useful topic for me is the BTC futures by @fillippone. I actually have a hard time to understand it and luckily I found the thread of it. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188060.0

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?

I do not request anymore because all of my need and wants are now here in the forum.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?

I do not invest in new projects but my portfolio in local stock market is actually bigger than the portfolio that I trade in Binance.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?

My first investment in bitcoin which give me a gain 184%. For me is it a beginner's luck  Grin

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?

The fastest way to lose all of your money is by making investment in DEFI  Smiley

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?

It is a necessity and we should protect it through online and it is the reason why I do not like participating in KYC.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?

None

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?

make investment in worth it coin and not a coin that just because it is "cheap". My top 3 coins are : BTC, ETH and BNB.

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?

If the momentum will not yet die, expect that it can reached near ATH or it can even beat the current ATH.

15. P.S. (Optional)
If thing must change, first you must change. Hustle Hard do not ever stop!!!

62  Economy / Economics / Re: Still confused why bitcoin is so bullish? on: November 13, 2020, 03:25:40 PM
I can explained all of the 3 things that you just mentioned, the truth is in the first item: there is no correlation between the prices of the stock market and the price of the bitcoin. As for pandemic, economy is now bouncing back that made the general market sentiment to be good. The second is the bitcoin halving, actually when the bitcoin halving took place; people thought that it will go to rally but it didn't happen because this is now the long term effect of what happen to bitcoin halving. I remembered that many people are ranting when the halving finished because they are expecting to see the bitcoin to make a move or a momentum. The 3rd is the PayPal, for me this is the real catalyst where it created hype not only in the cryptocurrency community and it resulted to the price increased of the bitcoin.
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: November 12, 2020, 04:14:34 AM
It will depend on the perspective of the gambler, for me; there will be 2 perspectives which are treating gambling as source of income and the othed is treating it as entertainment or fun only. For sure that there are people who loves to spend in gambling because they are obsessed to the fun and excitement that they are getting from it and there some gamblers who are just want to double their money or to make profit by betting or by playing some gambling games. I'm a type of gambler who do both where I treat is as one of my sources of income while I'm having fun.

I have a stressful life and gambling is one of my way to cough up that stress and for me to regain my positive mindset. I always considering the risks and for me it is the reason why I'm not getting angry when I oose because I just following my plan and I understand that there are situation that I do not have any control.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 11, 2020, 08:13:45 AM
I'm not surprised about it anymore since it did happen already before since the start of lockdown due to the pandemic. I think this is the only way that casino owner wants to minimize the losing of money since there are strict rules implemented that there should not a mass gathering. I don't think it only happens in casino workers because everyone was affected by this new normal so almost every businesses you know and see are all affected with this kind of problem.

Very true! This situation is not special nor unique as most businesses around the globe are in survival mode. Business owners need to think of alternatives how they can lessen their operational expenses. And since casinos don't have the usual number of players, they are not generating the same income as before. Also, this situation has been experienced by most even at the start of pandemic, so they should know that this will going to happen to them. If you are an employee, you need to understand the situation and look for other options where you can earn extra income. Your job is not your whole life where you can depend on. There are some ways to get that money.

It is not only casino workers that are being laid down as a matter of fact hospitality, aviation, and entertainment industry are the worst hit by this pandemic. A lot of workers have been asked to leave as there is not enough money to sustain the business with these employees. This is the new normal now and many things will change in the coming years.

With these new laws by the government, some of these casino employees will either be hired back or will be trained for other jobs but most of them will still lose their jobs.
Our economy already opened and the job are now coming back and it seems that this considered as new normal, casinos are starting to open also and they are now re hiring the employees that they remove before because of the pandemic where there is lockdown and stay at home is a must. The casinos that are now opening have now different protocols like the 5 star casino in my country where the only allowed age that allowed is 21-65 years old, if your age is above 65 years old; you cannot enter in casino because those age are the prone and vulnerable to severe cases of the virus.

I tried to enter in traditional casino with my mom last week, they now operating like before but I observed that their workers are still not the same before. I'm sure that they will re hired those employees that they removed if the pandemic will be already finish. The good thing is there is now a vaccine and for sure that next year, people can now safely use it.
65  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reversal Patterns in trading (DEMAND/SUPPLY EXHAUSTION PATTERNS) on: November 11, 2020, 05:36:15 AM
Yes you make it sound so easy because you picked all the examples where those patterns worked. However look at how many times in the past your double, triple, head and shoulders patterns failed to hold. Basically in hindsight it all looks easy however try and trade it in real time.

I've never actually seen a triple bottom in real life. It's a unicorn. The example in the OP is just successive higher lows. Same with the triple top example. It's a double top followed by a lower high failure.

I do think completed patterns (like an H&S that has broken the neckline and the head pivot) have some value. A problem I've often noticed with novice traders is they see potential patterns (like an incomplete H&S approaching the neckline) and trade them without any confirmation. Then the pattern often never completes.

This goes back to my mantra that traders should focus on reacting to the market, rather than trying to predict it. Waiting for a breakout and then trading it is a much more reliable strategy than trading based on a predicted breakout.
Quick note* This is just a reversal patterns, do not treat it as a holy grail strategy where it will guarantee sure gains. Always wait for confirmation before you make a decision, do not just buy quickly just because you see a reversal pattern. Just react and make a move if there will be a breakdown or breakout that happened. There is a misconception that I just read because they think that these patterns can make them to have sure profit but the thing is it is not true. It just pattern and our bias can be wrong. Waiting confirmation is more good than anticipating because if there is already confirmation, then there is a high possibility that a reversal will suddenly happen. I suggest to people to make a backtesting first in these patterns before you able try it in your real portfolio.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 09, 2020, 05:18:17 AM
Lack of information and lack of experiences are the main factor why a lot of people are losing in sports betting. In terms of lack of information, a lot of people are not giving care to the health of the players and to the chemistry of the whole team; most of them are just betting because of their guts without conviction. Those profitable bettors in sports gambling are always prioritizing to know the information inside the team, they first do analysis before they bet in a team or in a certain player. I usually bet in NBA and PBA and as far of my observation, a lot of bettors are losing because they are too "fan boys". What do I mean by that? They are really trusting the team even though it is obvious that they are underdog.
67  Economy / Trading Discussion / Reversal Patterns in trading (DEMAND/SUPPLY EXHAUSTION PATTERNS) on: November 08, 2020, 04:02:54 AM
We are currently in a bull market and many people do not understand what are reversals. First of all, reversals in trading are the change of trend and price direction or change of a price level from resistance/support to support/resistance after a breakout/breakdown. There are 3 trends in the market cycle which are uptrend, downtrend and sideways and we can anticipate the reversal by knowing and understanding the patterns. These patterns can help you especially for those who have struggles in their trading journey. Why do you need to understand and become aware of these patterns? It is simply because pattern recognition is one of the aspects in trading of cryptocurrencies. There are a lot of bad cultures when it comes to trading where they treat trading as gambling because they are just trading without conviction and without any kind of analysis where they just click the button which is the buy whenever they see a green or a red candle.

Seller exhaustion and buyer presence = Bullish Reversal Patterns
Buyers exhaustion and seller presence = Bearish Reversal Patterns.

There are two reversal patterns which are the BULLISH reversal and the BEARISH reversal pattern.

BULLISH Reversal pattern- This reversal pattern happens when a stock is coming from a downtrend and starts to shift trend to an uptrend. So basically, we will find the bullish reversal pattern when the market is now transitioning into a bull market.

Double Bottom Pattern – A double bottom pattern happens when the support is tested and visited twice and holds in that level before reversing to uptrend.  The double bottom pattern is just like the letter “W” but not all the times that the representation of the double bottom is the letter “W”.

Triple Bottom Pattern – A triple bottom pattern happens when the support is tested and visited trice and holds in that level before reversing to uptrend.

Inverted head and shoulders pattern- The inverted head and shoulder pattern show a level of support, and the neckline as its resistance.

BEARISH Reversal pattern- This reversal pattern happens when a stock is coming from a uptrend and starts to shift trend to an downtrend. So this is basically the vice versa of the Bullish Reversal pattern. This bearish reversal pattern can help us to identify if the trend is now against us and it is a sign that we should now minimize our positions in the market.

Double Top Pattern- A double top pattern happens when the resistance is tested and visited twice and holds that lever before reversing to downtrend. Usually it is looks like a letter “M” but not all the times it is looks like that.

Triple Top Pattern-  A triple top pattern happens when the resistance is tested and visited trice and holds in that level before reversing to downtrend.

Head and Shoulders pattern-  The head and shoulder pattern show a level of resistance, and the neckline as its support.

69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good time to buy Bitcoin ? on: November 07, 2020, 05:39:53 AM
I'm a type of trader who usually do a trend following so for me it is good to buy bitcoins whenever its trend is currently uptrend because there is a high chance that its price will become more expensive because the market in uptrend is full of greed where a lot of institutions, individuals and organization are getting bitcoins as much as they can. I'm a type of people who usually avoid buying at downtrend because the price are continuing to decrease because the emotion of market is fear where a lot of investors and institutions wants cash than investments. Right now the price of the bitcoin is currently trending and I can say that it is a parabolic move because look at the price of the bitcoin where it have momentum in these past days and there are consecutives green candle which considered as good movement and we should expect that the price can increase more.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do not trade Alts with BTC these days, You will just lose on: November 06, 2020, 01:05:59 PM
You can trade alts but make sure that you will lower the allocation, most of the investors and trader switched into bitcoin and it is the reason why it is gaining momentum unlike the altcoins that doesn't have high volume in this current days. Risk management is important especially for those altcoin traders, by lowering your allocation; you can prevent huge losses that you may incur. Bitcoin is currently above $15,000 and there is a possibility that it will do a small consolidation and will break again the next resistance around $16,000. Most of the altcoins are still in consolidation but I like to commend the ETH because earlier this day, the price managed to breakout in the long consolidation and the price of the ETH is currently at $442 which for me is a good sign and I think it will also gain momentum in these following days.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: November 05, 2020, 01:03:10 PM
The PLAYOFFS bracket is been released for DOTA SUMMIT 13! In the upper bracket : Motivate Trust vs Adroit, TNC vs Among us while in the lower bracket is Boom vs Cignal Ultra, Neon vs 496. The game between Boom and Among us earlier this afternoon was so good and it is really a quality Dota. They played again because they are tie breaker and it is the reason why the boom go to the lower bracket because they lose in best of 1 game. I'm looking forward to the game between TNC vs Among us, both of these teams are so strong and I think this 2 will face each other again in the grand finals but there are also teams that have high dota 2 level gaming like adroit and Neon. I'm looking forward to the playoffs and I'm now excited to bet these following games.  Cool

BOOM 2-0 Cignal Ultra. In my opinion TNC, BOOM or Adroit are top favourites to take this tournament. They are surely the strongest teams in the SEA region at the moment. But we will see, SEA Dota is unstable, basically everyone from the playoffs can take it if they have a little bit of luck. SEA region is very dynamic and there no teams there that can compare themselves to EU / CN teams. They are not good / competitive enough.  Roll Eyes
The adroit lose in the upper bracket to MG. Trust, I thought that they will get the game number 1 because they are already leading 25K gold net worth. The MG trust is so strong that they comeback the game. There is upcoming match between TNC and Among us, these 2 teams are my favorite teams so for sure that it will be a goo match. I'm looking forward to make a bet in these game. I know that both of the teams are excited and they will bring the best of them.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I accept Bitcoin for payments on my online store? on: November 05, 2020, 03:04:08 AM
If you understand the risks, then consider it. If you also want to have BTC without buying it on an exchange, then do it.

But if you will tend to do a regular conversion of BTC to fiat, you might experience difficulties in managing your capital as the conversion is not instant. You need an API to execute the conversion right away you received BTC payment so you are quite still safe from volatility.

Adding BTC as payment is good. More payment options, more convenience to customers.

It is really depends on the system that you have, if you think that you can handle that kind of volatility then maybe you can accept bitcoin as one of the mode of payment in your online system. There are a lot of stores where they started to accept bitcoin as payment but they eventually removed that in their system because they cannot handle the volatility and their sales are decreasing. Right now the price of the bitcoin is currently in uptrend so there is a high chance that your sales can go up if you will start accepting bitcoin as payment. The regulation of the government is also a factor so consider it for you to accept bitcoin as payment legally. There are now a lot of customers around the internet wherein they want to pay online through the use of bitcoin so for sure that it can also increase the popularity of your store.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: November 04, 2020, 10:07:05 AM
Right now, there is a live game between cignal ultra and boom esports. This is one of the lower bracket game and the odds are 1.27 in boom and 3.40 in cignal ultra. The game is currently in drafting mode and I will bet on those team that have good hero. The odds in cignal ultra is high so if I won here my bet will be times 3 but boom esports are also strong team especially their midlaner which is mikoto. He is the one who are always dominating the game but there is also high IQ player in cignal ultra which is ABAT and he is also strong carry in SEA server.
74  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What technical indicators do you use and why on: November 04, 2020, 03:16:44 AM
  • Support and resistance
  • RSI
  • MACD
These are on my list.
Every time I do trading I often used the three because it appears to be more clear and precise, I could easily understand the movement and that matters to me in choosing which indicators I should use.  I have work and needs to be in a hurry oftentimes but with these indicators, I can understand it faster even at a single glance, or probably I just get used to it since I have been using it for quite some time now.
MACD is so popular and it is one of the indicators that are frequently used by the traders. I also use that but it is a laggard indicator after all so it is giving a signal late, It is also easy to understand and it is easy to use and it is the reason why a lot of traders are keep using it. I also use volume and it is one of the important indicator that a trader should use because you will understand if a certain cryptocurrencies are trending with volume. A low volume cryptocurrency can considered as shitcoins because it does not have market participants but if a certain cryptocurrency have high volume, it only means that there are a lot of traders and investors that are interested to it.

In terms of tools, I use
1. Fibonacci Retracement
2. Gann box
3. Horizontal line and trend line
4. Risk and Rewards ratio

76  Economy / Economics / Re: Need of the hour : Use the Crisis on: November 03, 2020, 03:41:46 AM
Opportunities can be seen through mind and not eyes, and we should train our mind especially today where there are a lot of opportunities despite of having pandemic. I think there is a limiting beliefs in our society and it is the reason why a lot of people are afraid to build their own business and brand. Many people have employee mindset where they want security than freedom, those opportunities that they keep wasting are the reason why they life is still like before. They are afraid to take risks and not knowing that what they are currently is more risky. This crisis shouls be the trigger for us to have a millionaire mindset wherein we can make money out of nothing. Focus on training our mind and for sure we will come up good and crazy ideas that can give us huge rewards.

I actually have alot of business in my mind because I trained it in very long period of time. Like what happened in this week where I saw opportunities when it comes to book, there are a lot of books that I cannot see in bookstore and it gives me an idea to become online seller of those rare books that habe high demand in the internet. I also have an idea to start a clothing brand because I saw opportunities in my country and it is also one of the necessities we humans. Opportunities are in everywhere, ae can grab it and see it if we will train our greatest asset which is our mind.
77  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic: good for the bitcoin market or bad? on: November 02, 2020, 05:35:18 AM
Despite of the current pandemic, the price of the bitcoin is continuing to become expensive. At first there is a dump when the pandemic begins but that emotion which is fear turned into greed and it is the reason why the demand to bitcoin is keep rising. The cryptocurrencies are looking good especially the bitcoin while the stocks and indices in the U.S. are in bad condition because of the pandemic and also they are now in the final week of election where there is also fear and the selling pressure is high. In terms of altcoins, there are a lot of altcoins became undervalued when the pandemic starts.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why DeFi is high risk investment on: November 02, 2020, 02:53:45 AM
It is just a seasonal investment wherein it will lose popularity and a lot of investors just like what happened to the ICO'S in the year 2017. It is a high risk but high return because you do not know what will happen to the defi projects. It became so popular because there are defi projects where the coin pump so much and reach 1000% gains in just days. But not all of defi are like that and it is reason why it called as a high risk investment, there are many defi projects where it dump after being listed in exchanges so I really tell a lot of people to avoid defi. Uf thet insisted, then it is their fault if they lose huge amount of money from it.
79  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the Best Time to sell ? on: November 01, 2020, 05:49:19 AM
You don't need to think much when you are buying something but when you want to sell there is always a fear that what if the price increases?
As a boy belonging to middle-class family, I don't have a large share BTC hodling and now I am unable to figure out what should I do? Here are my few questions......
Should I hold for more time?
Should I buy some more now only or wait if the price dips a bit?

I think hold is better for trade. Many time you saw that a coin price is fall down. But after time it price increase. If you want to trade it is high risk cause you can not wait few days. So i tell you need hold.

Maybe you don't know what trading actually is. otherwise you would not say that holding is better for trade.. Trading is Buying an Selling. there is no way holding is better for trading. I would say holding is not even linked with trading. trading and holding are 2 different thing.
you either hold or you trade (Buy and selll)if you want to trade you need to accept all the risks. otherwise you can hold and never trade.
There are people who considered their selves as a trader but they just buy and forget wherein they will hold the coins that they bought. Holding and trading are not the same and they have different concepts, you can call yourself as a trader if you are aggressively buying and selling cryptocurrency while a holder if you will just and forget wherein you will sell it for months or even years.

Selling is more important than buying, there are only few people who are dignity selling the cryptocurrencies that they bought before. For those who want to know my selling strategies, it is simple; I will only sell my coin if it got invalidated where the price goes into my cut loss and the other one of my target profit is hit. For example I bought bitcoin at $10,000, and my plan is to sell it if the price goes up to $14,000 then if the price of the bitcoin goes that level I will sold it immediately because it is the plan that I created and as a trader following my plan is important and I should always follow it.

-BUMP FOR VISIBILITY-

We are still looking for a challenge. Come on, guys. $15-$30 (no to open bet) | Best-of-3 | Friendly-match.

Soon, we will also be looking for a challenge in WildRift. I'm still a noob there and currently learning the interface and gameplay.
I'm looking forward to have a match in WildRift because I'm a LOL player before but in terms of mobile legends, I do not have guts to play and have bet (real money)  against other people especially strangers because I'm not a good player there. I'm also sure that there are people in this thread that is really strong, looking forward to have match with you guys. If it is a friendly game then I'm in but I still do not have team, I still thinking if I will join in your games with real money involve  Grin
