61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does it even matter if governments and banks accept cryptocurrency? on: October 22, 2018, 05:22:34 AM
There is buzz about the prospective of governments and banks accepting crypto or creating their own for its mass acceptance.

I don't think this is even worth acknowledging, as all of the present and future innovations are going to come from the private sector. Governments are just responsible for damage control, do a God-awful job for the most part and have never achieved true democracy.

In the past, people relied on governments and banks not because they're "governments" or "banks," but because they provided security.

Once AI, blockchain, and improved means to use crypto provide even better security than governments and banks ever could, whatever they do will be irrelevant.

Yes, it really do matters if government and banks accept cryptocurrency because anything supported by government is trusted by the people and they own it without any hesitation. Acceptance of bitcoins by the banks will be like 'icing on the cake' .

Can Bitcoin become the universal currency of the world? What is the reason?

Universities and colleges are opening up to the idea of taking donations via cryptocurrency…by Manoj Sharma for CNR Earlier this week

It will take a lot of time for a bitcoin to be a universal currency. First of all, every country should be self sufficient in electricity and internet. Internet should reach even the remotest place of the country which according to me is impossible now or infact after ten years.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China can destroy bitcoin on: October 20, 2018, 04:21:49 AM
very interesting when we hear that academics from Princeton University and academics from the University of Florida have concluded that China has the potential to threaten stability, internet infrastructure, security and bitcoin development.

in the world of mining, China dominates using ASIC vendors. China controls mining hashrate, so they affect the bitcoin protocol.

Is there a solution to stop that potency  ?

Yes, China has the power to destroy bitcoins . I think, there are no solution right now but who knows someone will come up to combat this. Think positive...
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never say die to Bitcoin on: October 20, 2018, 04:11:24 AM
Quit Bitcoin and sell at your BTC at cheap today and regret later. The news coming from the governments are planned with the aim of creating FUD in potential investors because the governments are afraid of the power of decentralization. However, this power of decentralization cannot be stopped because it has already gained roots on the market as more and more people become familiar with the concepts and benefits of Bitcoin and the entire crypto.

Yes, true...We know the mechanism of bitcoins so we should not worry about its price. Selling our saved bitcoins in low price will make us regret later so hold your coins and wait for the perfect time.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin connected to our banks!!! on: October 19, 2018, 04:18:04 AM
In future if bitcoin is allowed in countries around the world and most online based companies will start to allow bitcoin as their payment currency/gateway/exchange. But what do you think if we would be allowed to transfer our money to our bitcoin wallet from our bank accounts like PayPal does? Will it be a good thing for banks and us?

We cannot predict it now. Anything can happen...good things are expected but unfortunately if something bad happens then we humans have got enough potential to fix it.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we change the public's view of Crypto world? on: October 19, 2018, 04:10:10 AM
Guys we are very much aware how the crypto community through this great forum has helped most of us in terms of our finances but is so heartbreaking that the most of the public views only describes how insecure and unsafe the crypto community is. I do understand that cryptocurrencies are volatile and the issue of anonymity sometimes scares people away but y'all bear with me that if  crypto is explained to you and you really understand it properly you would not make wrong mistakes and get swayed away by panic sales or submit your private key as ethereum wallet address. Is it a public campaign or some other form of tutorial that we should organize to help explain crypto to the world because believe it or not the blockchain technology of cryptocurrencies is being admired by most organizations and some of them have decided to run their operations with the use of blockchain technology. What can we do as a community to help change the public view of Crypto?

The most effective way of changing the public view for crypto is to show them our progress. Secondly, we can give them the example of the famous intellectuals who also deal with the cryptos. Obviously they will follow those intellectuals because they know that they(the intellectuals) will not deal with fraudulent . Thirdly, we should work on to make the government accept coins because anything approved by them becomes legal and people easily come forward to become a part of it.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin prices remain the same until next year, will it be good for the crypt on: October 18, 2018, 04:09:19 AM
Bitcoin prices are still the same these days and it does not seem like it is moving up. At least not as high as everyone anticipates. If the price remains the same until next year and it stabilize at around $6000, do you think that it will be good for the crypto world or not? Say it does not go down below it, but it also still does not go higher than that, what do you think will be the repercussions to the market?

Even if it stucks to $6000, I am fine with it . Infact, I will be free from all the worries of decrease in price. If not rise in price, stability at some point is something that most of us want.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Major benefit of Ethereum? on: October 18, 2018, 03:58:14 AM
Ethereum is getting popular day by day. People participating in ICOs they use ETH a lot. Ethereum is a smart contract.

But what does Ethereum do better that any other alt?

Some of the major benefits of Ethereum are:

i) It is free from corruption as there is no chance of any censorship.

ii) It has no limit in megabyte.

iii) Users find easier to mine ether tokens than bitcoins.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When are we going to see an era like 2017 again? on: October 17, 2018, 04:14:19 AM
Virtually everyone is expecting another boom in the crypto space. We hope for another bullish market. The question we kept on asking ourselves is "When is bull run going to start?"

- 2018 does not really support the boom for most ICOs, unlike what we had in 2017.
- In 2017 airdrops were very profitable, unlike what we have in 2018, where most airdrops just seem useless.
... and the comparison continues ...

Despite all these, i can confidently say that, notwithstanding the bearish market, 2018 has been a very good year for both Traders and Investors alike.

In 2018, We may not meet the days like we had in 2017 but overall it was not a bad year.

73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL is the only policy. on: October 16, 2018, 04:42:51 AM
Market is fluctuating today a lot . But I hope it will not continue. So I am applying HODL at this moment.
What is your policy at this current market volatility?

I will hold too because this is the perfect way of dealing with the market mechanism.
74  Other / Archival / Re: Is this the end for Altcoins? on: October 16, 2018, 04:40:02 AM
All Altcoins are in red. What causes this dump and does this mean that it's over for certain amount of Altcoins?

We are talking about more then -10% for a lot of coins: Charts

No...reduction in prices is common. We should assume that it will lead to the end of Altcoins. If prices has gone down, it may go up within next hour, next day or after some days.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you prefer, bank or crypto? on: October 16, 2018, 04:33:49 AM
If you are to choose, which one would you prefer to store your money, banking which is susceptible to fraud like identity theft, lost and stolen cards, ATM withdrawal scams etc., or cryptocurrency wallet which is susceptible to cyberspace scams? Why?

Right now I will still go with bank because it is widely accepted and there is no restrictions. I may change my preference in a year or two if crypto become more famous.
76  Other / Archival / Re: The Founder of Bitcoin on: October 15, 2018, 03:54:42 AM
Many believed that the inventor of Bitcoin wants to remain anonymous to avoid legal consequences as what happened during 2007 about E-Gold, one of the first digital money (Bernard, 2017). On the other hand, I think it would be better if the founder of Bitcoin will reveal his identity since many countries recognized the essence of this cryptocurrency.

If this might happen, it will contribute for more development of digital currency and regulations in Bitcoin procedures. Also, the acknowledgement must be given for the person who invented the most efficient digital currency in our society.

What are your thoughts?

It is right that anyone who does great work should be commemorated but if it becomes life threatening for him ,it will useless. It is not necessary to know the name. Our good wishes and respect for the creator of bitcoin will always be there and he will receive it. Thanks Satoshi Nakamoto for your wonderful creation <3
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should governments accept Crypto currencies? on: October 15, 2018, 03:41:17 AM
We are led to believe that almost all governments are corrupt and that most officials and even leaders of the world are bought.

We saw this for instance with the US elections where rumours are doing the rounds that massive amounts of money were channelled from foreign countries to influence the outcome of the election. This money had to be laundered through shell companies via Banks and complex money laundering systems.

All of this leaves paper trails and this can later be followed and investigated to find the true origin of this money.

Now think about this, why would "corrupt" governments want to appose Bitcoin and Crypto currencies, if they can use it to hide their "corrupt" practices? Would it not make sense just to allow it and then use it to further their political aspirations?

The push back from these corrupt governments does not make any sense. Could it be that they know that Bitcoin and Crypto currencies are not "anonymous" at all and that these transactions can be traced and for this reason they are apposed to it?

Curious to know what you are thinking.  Wink

A corrupt government will not accept something that create evidence of its corrupt practises.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Speak against Bitcoin but still wants to accept payment in bitcoin on: October 15, 2018, 03:35:00 AM
It's very funny anytime i see people making references to the slow network of bitcoin and in terms of transactions on its network. Some even go to extent of saying that bitcoin network will collapse once all its blocks are fully mined but anytime these same people request payment from their dealers they want it in bitcoin. hahaha I guess even Vitalik Buterin accepts payments ONLY in BTC. Get it people! BTC is KING!  Cool
These type of comments are sheer humbug. Ignore them...they cannot change our views towards bitcoin. Bitcoin is here to stay :-)
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Years From Now in Crypto? on: October 13, 2018, 03:56:07 AM
What would be your thoughts and prediction to what will happen in 5 years from now in Crypto?

Do you see higher values?

Do you see less projects?

Do you see a merger of many projects?

Tighter Regulation?

More acceptance?

Society in general?

We cannot predict anything for cryptos. Obviously I wish it last longer with more acceptance and higher values .
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NEO become strong? on: October 12, 2018, 04:21:31 AM
As a background, NEO is a blockchain platform and cryptocurrency supporting a scalable network of decentralized applications. It bears resemblance to Ethereum at its core but has its own unique features.  Unlike Ethereum, it integrates other cryptocurrencies into its network, which gives it the potential to become a global digital system in today's smart economy.

NEO touts its accessibility as one of the key platform features because common programming languages are accepted on its platform.

How do you think about NEO?

Yes, it is one of the fastest cryptocurrency platforms with its focus on building the smart economy for the future.
