But it would have been better if you divide the total funds in a ratio of say 8:2 so that you can save about 80% in stable coins while keeping de remaining 20% in a volatile coin, probably BTC so that your funds can appreciate small by the time you are withdrawing your funds

If you are still using your base service to accept US customer and you are putting your base service like huobi global in a big risk when it still deals with US customer. This will give a huge impact caused by US customer can get in the market. This is the best way how to deal with the US market. We are saving for a house down payment of 40K.  I don't want to leave it in the bank as there is a old judgement they can take any time so i want to store it in crypto as we grow it over the next 6 months.  Is a stable coin the best option?  Thoughts?

I used to use Litecoin as payment in few portals, given it limited usability/functions other than payment mode, which still quite low in terms of adoption, it will be struggle to stands out in the future. But it still one of the more reputable crypto. I see it has a future with really strong loyal users and good devs. At least their dev looks decent and less scammy compared to 99% out there.
Litecoin is still the best 'testnet' and pushing out milestones alternative to Bitcoin.

Dogecoin is a real crypto currency, moreover, it is one of the oldest crypto that is live on the market. But to be honest, I do not believe that Dogecoin is perspective, because there is no value behind this coin at all.
