So many good news here but why the price keep falling like a rock ? I keep buying all the way down to 11k, just wondering whether it would go below 10k

For me 7-8k is base very low - quark lvl Quak it was once 35m$ and now is 3m....
Just look at PPC LTC Doge long therm then BC. - money are leaving alt crypto after HEAVY manipulation in December .
at the end all alt markets are based only at speculation mostly... that is why all is falling - altcoin are used ONLY for speculation today.
Later it will change later coin with light wallets fast services will be used rest will be forgotten.

Unfortunately, good news doesn't always translate to price increases.

Agreed! This is right on the money!  Grin

For now, BC has some very exciting stuff due, so, the game of coins continues.....

Although i don't think we need ETAs you should actually not be that vague but tell people what to expect. If you can announce something that creates some confidence or hype, do it NOW.
If this continues as it is currently going there will be nobody left who cares about it once whatever goes live. Not only even earliest holders are coming to the point where they ask themselves if they made a good decision back then, if you asked me today (and i never sold a single BC) if i want to be paid for something in BC i would say no - and so would every merchant in the world who sees a 3-month-downtrend getting worse and worse (unless it is BTC, different story).

+100000

I'm starting to agree with this too. Now that we're the #3 PoSI coin. Isn't too bad since it's still a very close race and still riding altcoin downtrend. But a little something would be nice. Smiley

I still remember rat4 posted a roadmap when we were 15K and shot up to 30K. This was right after XLB had just hit ATH 19K on May 23. It was magical!

bc will be fine, thats just punishment for not going with trend with some "blacksend" or other shitty not fully anon feature

There's a lot of truth in this, but we shall see what the long term holds for Anon as a tech.

I personally am not convinced it will be embraced in the way desired. Add to that, the regulatory issues it may raise and while the tech will work and such things as Dark Markets will be served, and quiet well I'd imagine if the plans ahead are anything to go by, Its mainstream adoption is a much different matter.

For now, BC has some very exciting stuff due, so, the game of coins continues.....

Wise words from Mr. Morris himself as usual.  Smiley

I find absurd that a coin with all this features is in dump since the release on coinkite.
I bought because everyone says it'll reach 1$. The more the ime pass the more I think it was a joke.
Now someone is accumulating or what?
Because the dump seems to be endless.
When the coin was stucked at 23k for some weeks, some prophet told that it was a floor,  and soon we have should see a pump.
I want those people who told that,  here,  to explain why they told such a bullshit.
Buy on rumor sell on news,  the more the features are the fast the drop will be.

I was one of those people that thought 23K was the floor. But alas, the altcoin market is unpredictable.

Looks like everything went fine.

I have a question to developers or someone that knows :
I've heard that now it's possible to know how many coins are staking at any time, can anyone confirm and tell how ?

Thanks

Edit : found

Can you share answer?

Since protocol v2 the network weight simply corresponds to the number of coins that are available for staking. Mouse over the green arrow on the bottom right of the qt wallet to get a tooltip which shows the network weight. You can also get this information in the console of the debug window through the command "getstakinginfo" (divide by 10^8 to get coins).

Network weight seems to be how many coins that are available for staking but aren't currently staking. So if all the network coins were staking at the time then network weight would be 0?

How do you find out spendable + staking coins at the moment?

Yes, coins on stake are not available for staking (i see the term 'staking' is the process from moving coins on stake). Your own Spendable + staking still can be seen as "Total" in the overview tab of the qt client.

Yes, but you can't see "Total" of everyone can you?

Can anyone explain why the sell order at 14510 on Mintpal at the moment can't be bought out? It's been there for a while and someone just bought at 14530 and totally passed it by  Huh

Means the order system glitched and you need to refresh your page. Usually means it's already bought out.

My wallet is v1.1.0
Is that wrong?

1.1.0 is fine for avoiding the hard fork, but I'd update to the latest version for slight improvements.

Maybe. But if you check the upper mid range buy orders, you will notice that the bot holds positions there and if you put an order right above its ones, it immediately moves the order above yours. Checked that many times in the last days.

EDIT: it does it so as to catch those coins from those who give up waiting or need to place the money elsewhere. And they are many.

Could very well be a case of multiple bots.

wow loads of stuff happening with bc going to be a very interesting august for bc  Grin Grin Grin Grin

If you could ask the bot at mintpal, it would tell you July was very interesting as well. I cannot imagine how many coins it bought on the cheap from those who gave up waiting for the news and then resold those coins at a higher price to newcomers who bought at market price in fear of missing the party. During those cycles it constantly reduced the price a bit.

The fact that mintpal has v1.1 api in private beta makes things more interesting about who had the privilege to operate that bot. On the other hand, it might be a browser based bot. Who knows?

That bot was dumping. We never had an uptrend during that time. As soon as it stopped, uptrend. Not saying it was cause and effect. But I don't think that bot was doing us any favors.

Anyways big pump for Black Box.  Grin

The bot never stopped. It was definitely not dumping during the downtrend. It was buying low and selling a little higher. It monopolized orders. As soon as you placed an order, it put its order above yours. It had the advantage andf possibly the privilege to use the mp api.

The bot was not buying low. It was buying the lowest sell order 5-6 times for under 10 BC each time during a downtrend. It was slowly dumping.

It was dumping what it had bought at a lower price from those who gave up waiting or those who sold and wished to rebuy lower. People sold several times during the day directly to the bot's buy orders. I assume it made 200-300 sat profit (~1-2%) in each cycle.

I still think selling several times during the day was the bot. It was usually 4-5 market sell orders of about 3000 BC total. Buy orders were the people. It didn't look like it was trying to profit, but slowly getting rid of BC hence a dump. Masking downtrend with 5-6 small market buy orders.

oh and ur telling that BC isnt pump and dump, so what was that Monday 28th thing ? If u dont want pump and dumps why would u do that ? U just wanted to pump it a little and get some attention coz of btcchinas tweets

Given it was public information and I'd say there was a good chance it was Blackcoin from the hints. Even I thought it was Blackcoin until the last few hints.

The kicker was the "2.0" hint when we were so close to PoS 2.0. That's when I started retweeting. BTC China are patting themselves on the back for that one because they probably had no idea.

I think with the current drop in price and volume in blackcoin they might rethink there strategy. LTC price is relatively stable compared to BC.
So how does LTC price stability matter if close to no one is using the market?
The problem is not stability but that LTC does offer nothing but a slight speed advantage (compared to BTC) while BC is about 12 times faster than LTC - that does matter when you want to move coins e.g. from A -> B -> A: about 60 sec transaction times at at current BC speed, 12+ min at LTC speed (not counting the delays cause by the exchange itself).

So is LTC actually faster than BTC? I've always read conflicting info that LTC needs like 2 confirmations to = 1 BTC confirmation in terms of security.

I don't believe there's a fee. Should it be the exchange to vet the code or the investor's problem? What if an exchange chooses not to accept a coin because he has personal issues with a developer? Possibly another solution is a "Warning - This coin was found... but trade at own risk."

Lot of tough questions on how this should be handled.

Yes, there is a fee... OK, it's not billed as such, but they host "Sponsored Coins" all the time (i.e. pay-to-list).  About the only thing worse (IMO only of course) is voting for coins.

I thought Sponsored Coins were already listed. Isn't that just paying for more exposure?

When BC will be available on Bittrex?

It is there right now... but if by available you mean "as a base-pair..." that's anyone's guess as far as I know.  Neither Richie nor anyone on this side has set anything in stone (publicly at least).

I agree with you on this one aspect 7000years... and I've posted about this on both boards and IRC... goes over like a lead balloon each time - so figure everyone really wants this and sees it as only positive.  I guess we'll see what happens when/if it actually does.

Poloniex never added Supercoin after coming out to say it was a scam. As far as I know, nothing was ever found to be a scam.

With so many proven scamcoins lately on bittrex, I'm not really sure if being in talks with them is good advertisement or not. Seriously. Every coin scammer has found a home there. Also, I've heard they list coins for a fee. Is it true?

Bittrex is doing a great job. Don't know if they list coins for a fee, anyway this is a free market and that doesn't mean anything.  [...]

I'm not saying the fee is not legit. I'm thinking it could loosen their quality checks.

Another solution - What they could do is use BitHalo smart contract system and release the fee after a month. Isn't a significant fee a quality check in itself.

Lot of tough questions on how this should be handled.
