1000 machines(720G/machine using AM Gen 3 chip) on line in hashratio farm in China

I hope at some point in the near future asicminer can put together some internal mining like this.  Even 0.72 PH/s would be...  26.8966 BTC per day, according to bitcoinx.

Progress Update 23 Jun 2014:

Here is a first progress update since the original announcement of DataTank Mining

• We are in discussion with a manufacturer to provide ASIC hardware in return for DataTank capacity. This is an unexpected turn of events, but it may prove to be a very important development...

Is this bad for AM?

If that ASIC manufacturer is AM, then its good, since FC is swimming in chips right now.

free chips for an immersion mine. I .. can't see the business benefits in this, whatsoever.

Franchised mining

True!

Also it could be BTC Garden, Rockminer, etc..  Some other AM-party.

It would be a shame if after all the months we've been looking at these immersion cooling setups if they just decided to go elsewhere for chips.

I'd like to see at least an effort to mine a block, even go back to BTC-Guild and throw a couple PH at good ol' 67117.

^Yes, but you need one of those 220 dryer outlets.  Got one?

Maybe I can take the diesel V8 and convert it to run on vegetable oil and then drive around the fast food joints and get the free grease all day for fuel..  MMmm..  How many alternators do I need to rig up for that?

can we buy entire containers ready to plug in? Smiley

Why not just keep pumping the money back into the company and receive yearly dividends every Christmas? I'm all for it Smiley keep the funds FC, make it a fatter payout at the end of the year for us lol

I actually wouldn't mind this either.  I'd like to see FC diversify a bit and start a holdings unit as a second line of business just to give us some wiggle room and stabilize prices.  What's your take on that Friedcat Buffett?

They need better customer service. Transfer of shares took 9 days last time, now transferring to havelock, which will take who knows how long. This is why they need the shares to be on havelock or counterparty, or figure out a way to make it easier for investors to trade holdings.

And dividends are a must, this is a crypto stock, very high risk. If they can't pay a decent dividend, the price should be much lower than it is even now.

Long share transfer times?  You must be new here Smiley  As long as they go through eventually, no need to panic.

As for divs... We all want them, begging probably won't help although I wish it did.

I'm still skimming through, forgive me if this is obvious, but what is the valuation in BTC of the IPO?  I see DTMA are 0.028 BTC (listed as 'example' so subject to change) and if you have 60,000+ units you can be a board member.  That's like 1,680 BTC per board seat.  How many shares are there?

I second this.

They obviously already have a very solid business in place, or so their prospectus leads me to believe...so why create an offering in the first place? From what we've seen in the past, usually there's some monstrous amount of total shares (e.g. 111.6K "A" units out of 1,000,000 released to the public, giving them an instant value of BTC28,000). This is speculation of course, but I am a genuinely curious.

Minimum is 5 containers. It will probably be 120,000 shares per container so 600,000 shares or 16,800 btc.

That's a lot of cash.  $12 million?

But in this crypto world it seems like we can raise that kind of money.

Minimum 5 containers.. I feel like an ass for always asking questions without reading anything, but we're raising money as a company to buy as many containers as possible, right?  So infinite shares available during funding rounds?

WHERE IS THE HERO WE NEED BUT NOT DESERVE?!

Once AM starts self-mining again, I would really love to see them use p2pool.
I expect that more miners would jump into p2pool if p2pool's share of the total hashrate is greater than now (i.e. greater than ~1% of the total hashrate). This would really be great for all of bitcoin. As a side-effect it would also once again paint AM in a very positive light.

Either this or start our own pool that mimics the payouts of Ghash.io.  I think most people would like to get off of Ghash if there were an option as profitible to hop into.  Running a pool would be a really nice way to get continuing income as well.  With the hashrate we command it shouldn't be hard to get the ball rolling on a ghash competitor, maybe even just straight up buy out a smaller pool that already exists.

ASICMINERPOOL.

DOOOOO EEEEEEET!

80  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Post your goods on BitcoinTrading.com and get a free 0.01 BTC! <-- promo! on: June 12, 2014, 05:38:24 PM
Offer is basically closed.  I used to give away as much as 0.14 BTC for signing up, I gave away a lot of bitcoins.

0.01 BTC nowadays is a bit heavy, instead of saying "closed!" I'm going to just add in a decimal place... 0.001 BTC?
