742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hello. I am an investor willing to promote CHNCoin. on: May 02, 2013, 05:00:11 AM
我想帮助你促进CHNCoin的意识提高,这样它就会接受交换场地,因此,它的值将增加

我需要谈谈开发商CHNCoin。但我有一个很难找出他们是谁。这里也许有人可以帮我吗?

非常感谢!

Maybe that will help?  Smiley
743  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Downgraded my shipping?! on: May 02, 2013, 04:18:58 AM
Express shipping should be free at this point.

I wonder if they have a shipping method so fast that it arrived months ago!

I don't think you need dummy plugs.. You're doing something wrong..  12.6+ you should be good without them.
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC MINER uses MASSIVE HASHING POWER to CURE CANCER! on: May 02, 2013, 01:42:11 AM
folding@home cost me billions lol.  I was hardcore into f@h for yeaaaaars and years, right up until 2011 when I heard about Bitcoin.  I do NOT regret any of my processor cycles, hopefully the efforts were useful for them and I contributed to something useful.

But hearing after the fact, that a small portion of my power could have made 10's of millions if I knew about Bitcoin back then. Drat!

751  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Mt. Gox: If your coins were stolen, please write here on: April 30, 2013, 10:44:43 PM
I suspect my account was compromised or I am just paranoid.

I have an account at MtGox and visit this account very frequently (3-5 times a day) to check my number in a verification queue.

I went to Mtgox website 40 minutes ago, typed my Username and Password, and a red small window told me my password was incorrect and if I forgot it I could type in my e-mail address to recover it or to get a new one. I thought I just simply made a typo in my password. I repeated the action 2 times more and the red window kept on popping up and telling me ''incorrect password''.

I shut down my computer and my modem. Then I restarted the computer and the modem, went to MtGox's website entered the Username and the Password and could log in without any problems.

I searched the website, while logged in, for ''you were logged in on ...(date and time)...'' information to check if someone else was logged in using my Username and Password, and I couldn't find such an information.

Could someone tell me:
a) if I should consider it a problem not having being able to log in three times using the correct Username and Password (there is of course an unlikely possibility I typped in a wrong password);
b) is there a log in history for an account at MtGox's website available to account holders?

Thanks.

Omg so it's true.  There are people dialing up modems to get bitcoins.

Congrats on the epic 2 year old thread bump.  Good read.

753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is scrypt better than shaXXX?? on: April 30, 2013, 02:33:39 AM
could they not just make a scrypt ASIC?  surely if a video card can do it, and it was designed for only CPUs originally, an ASIC can do it better.  argument invalid.
754  Economy / Securities / Re: Butterfly Labs 50 G/H ASIC on: April 29, 2013, 07:34:13 PM
ordering now.. you might be splitting the costs thinly over the course of a long time.  it's plausible that the device never earns back the coins it costs to buy.  there are millions in preorders which will cause the difficulty to get to ridiculous numbers by the time a unit ordered today arrives.

that said, I still would hold onto a couple preorders just in case it does pan out well, but profit is not a sure thing buying a unit.  difficulty bites back hard.

didn't I buy a motherboard off you?  I guess some percentage of your deals were legit.  thanks BTC Guy!  lol.  pretty random to see you going off the deep end like this.
757  Economy / Services / Re: [CoinURL] All ways to monetize your content! [BID LOW AGAIN! PLACE ADS!!] on: April 24, 2013, 04:41:07 PM
Where is your pay per click program? We tried the cpm and it didn't perform well at all.

The banner system is the pay per click system.  The interstitials are pay per impression.  Just from the menu choose Advertise, then New Banner Ad. Smiley

Didn't know if you got my contact request, but I suggest you compress that javascript from coinurl to save on bandwidth.  Take a look at http://www.euperia.com/website-performance-2/gzip-javascript-css-nginx/829.  Your PHP is compressed, but not the md5 javascript code.

I forwarded it onto my developers, it seems like an easy enough thing to implement and hopefully they do that soon.  They are just so overwhelmed right now with redesigning the statistics that it might take a bit before that is done but it's up there on our to-do list!  Thanks for pointing it out! Cheesy
758  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury ASIC? on: April 23, 2013, 06:06:05 PM
Based on the fact that it's a FPGA costing $90,000 for 110 Ghash/s, takes a magnum truck to ship and a nuclear power plant to run, I'd say it's a high probability that it's legit.
I think the FPGA stuff they had for sale since last year.. I think this ASIC thing is fresh though.
759  Bitcoin / Hardware / Bitfury ASIC? on: April 23, 2013, 05:53:59 PM
Hey I got wind of a new ASIC made by Bitfury, not much discussion on it though.. legit?

http://www.bitfury.org/bitfury110.html  edit: I think the '110' here is an FPGA..  but they are talking ASIC in the threads.

760  Economy / Services / Re: [CoinURL] All ways to monetize your content! [BID LOW AGAIN! PLACE ADS!!] on: April 23, 2013, 03:40:47 AM
I'd like to set a minimum value to accept adds in the banner profile.

With some text adds yielding as little as 0.00000600 BTC pr click I'd rather use the slot on another network.

With a 0.00000600 fee I need more then 12 clicks to make USD$ 0.01 at current BTC prices. This is just ridiculous.

Sorry, with the 5 million impressions per day we are now delivering, the ad pool is getting eaten up quickly. We need some big budget advertisers!
