I had hoped for a 5600 with a 6pin and something like 130 watt with GDDR6 and 256 bus which would be an ideal card for many scenarios including mining. Who knows, maybe AMD will surprise us all

VegaII on water mem@1100 MHz  gpu@stock

Blake2b   @2.9 gh/s
Blake2s   @5.5 gh/s
Yescrypt  @2.65 kh/s
MTP        @4.06 mh/s
Keccak    @0.775 gh/s

Nice numbers especially on MTP although I have a feeling that it is sucking up some serious power mining Zcoin. Are you happy with the Vega II and did water make a big difference for you?
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low hashrate on eth mining after Windows update on: October 14, 2019, 07:29:46 PM
And disable the windows updates permantely because it will install the drivers again next week.

I tried many ways from youtube and google to disable windows update but all of them not working.  I mean it diable but my rig still updating every time it has new windows updates. I just always use the "paused" but it has a limited time of 1 month just to avoid or prevent windows for checking the latest updates.

The best that he can do if he doesn't want to experience this again better use other OS like SMOS this one I think will give better hashrate than windows just make sure the cards are modded already.

I am with you on moving to a linux distro and a distro designed specifically for mining is not a bad way to go. With bios modded cards you can run them on pretty much any Debian based distro without any worries of updates causing issues. Its good to update linux but its much more flexible when updates are concerned compared to windows.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ☑☑☑[ANN][BSD] BitSend - online since 2014 [ Core 0.17 soon] on: October 14, 2019, 06:21:49 PM
Had liked the dev to stay with this coin instead putting energy in multiple other coin projects. It might or might not have lead to another outcome who knows. So sad to see the coin lost all it's values and is dieing every day a bit more. It's slowly bleeding out and nothing gonna stop that. Anyone an idea how many masternodes are still running?

I am interested to see what's happening with the masternode count of a dieing coin. I don't think you can run any BSD masternode profitable anymore and given this I wondered why the count didn't drop sharply alongside the value. Now there is no count anymore.

Most alts have suffered with the current state of things and you are correct masternodes do not provide a source of income for people as the rewards are very low currently. The only reason people have to stay on board is because they think the dev is here for the long run and will keep the project functional through the hard times. Once projects disappear because people cant make a ton of $$$ we start to see who is still here for the long term.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LytixChain Reloaded - Marketplace Blockchain [PoS + Masternodes + Maxnodes on: October 14, 2019, 06:06:40 PM
I look forward to seeing this project take off in a new direction with the support from a larger team with some of the resources needed to keep a project like this up and running. Maxnodes will be a big draw for people especially with such a low entry point currently.

Thanks for taking over this project @Senaia
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lytix - PoS Maxnode Crypto Platform on: October 14, 2019, 05:51:27 PM
can we ask faetos do lock this topic and update the main post with the new ANN one?

at least for organization and to avoid members to keep posting here.

I was against creating a new ann because it's not necessarry and can be confusing, but that's ok
please, remember to contactcoinmarketcap and other listing websites to ask them to update the links for anns on LYTX page.
this is REALLY important.

I agree, this post should be locked and also have the OP updated. In addition to updating the OP the last post in the thread should be from faetos or Senaia with a link to the new thread and reasons for the move. This will allow new people looking directly at the last post to get up to speed on the history of this project.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PoS/MN] Gentarium (GTM) | Masternode hosting platform | Shared MN service on: October 14, 2019, 04:35:34 PM
Friends, the reporting period and the quarter are about to end. According to our roadmap we planned to release a new platform, the launch announcement of which we made in the spring. We put a lot of effort into market research and new product development.

L for Loans

We have long studied new promising areas in the field of cryptocurrencies. A few months ago we decided to develop lending platform. Cryptocurrencies themselves provide an excellent opportunity for decentralization, but there are not many tools for working with it today. Therefore, we decided to move in this direction and provide a tool that many are accustomed to in the traditional market. Many of you most likely have bitcoin or other top cryptocurrencies and you would like to spend part of these funds for various needs, but are afraid to lose profit in case of bitcoin uptrend. So our platform will allow you to do this safely and with a small commission and not lose profit in case of bitcoin uptrend, despite the fact that you cashed it. Our platform also allows you to earn money on issuing of loans. We can also allow miners to expand their farms without spending mined bitcoins on it.. And most importantly, all transactions are secured by bitcoin collateral and, at your request, the transaction can be decentralized. In the near future we will prepare for you a series of articles in which we will tell how different participants of the cryptocurrency market can earn and gain an advantage using the services of our platform.

You can familiarize yourself with the platform by clicking on the link https://loan.gtmcoin.io/

I have seen quite a few of these type of lending setups come and go over the years so I will be interested in hearing about how this works out for this project. Things are way down and only the true crypto enthusiasts are sticking around for the winter. I hope this idea works and even if it is not as successful as thought I am sure you will continue to work on new ideas to keep this project relevant.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]XDNA-Revolution in mining|GPU ONLY HEX algo|Charity Support|NoICO|Cryptopia on: October 14, 2019, 04:20:41 PM
With the price so low it might be a good time for someone interested in learning how to setup a masternode to pick up some coins for almost nothing. Worst case you lose a tiny bit of money and you gain some skills and knowledge about masternodes.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Energi [NRG] Cryptocurrency for World Adoption | PoS | MN | No-ICO or Premine | on: October 14, 2019, 04:02:00 PM
I know their is a guide for setting up a staking wallet on a vps which is pretty cool but you have to have your funds on that vps password protected and encrypted. What would be really cool is a way to stake similar to a masternode with funds safe in your cold wallet and offline.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What other uses does GPU have? on: October 14, 2019, 03:44:25 PM
[...]
There was some coin if I recall which instead of hashing POW it did some type of "Folding" but I forget what it was called. However since the value of the coin was low, nobody wanted to mine it. It was a good idea though.

https://banano.cc/

that looks legit....

Banano actually is legit but its just a clone of Nano with a kind of a Joke/Meme theme poking fun at some of the past scams in crypto. If you scroll down on the banano site you will see it says "Inspired by the industry's least trusted masterminds" which is pretty funny to read all the people they list.

Anyways you can mine/earn Banano by folding for science, so at least you are doing some good if the project goes away.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Small Miners, how much do you make ? on: October 14, 2019, 03:17:07 PM
I have 5 gpus rolling most times.

Most of the time I just make the wife mad.

Most of the people here probably aren't married and they actually don't realize that mining rigs actually upsets most girlfriends or wives.

First issue is the noise. Even if you got GPUs the noise from all of them plus the box fans is going to get really loud, especially when you are trying to sleep next door.

Another issue is the appearance of the rigs and how it makes your place look like something out of the movie Hackers and overall makes the room look like a mess.

You are exactly right about the girlfriend/wife issue, and the best way to deal with it is to have one area wired and setup for mining with considerations for proper air movement and external noise to keep your neighbors happy as well.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: how much etherium can 5 cards of 30 mh/s can make per month ? on: October 14, 2019, 03:06:45 PM
You have to look at mining like a hobby now and typically people do not make money doing something for fun. If you mine now do it because you think the project is cool and you think it has potential in the future and you want to support the network and community.

Just mine and hold and see what happens, but do not expect anything as things can change for good or worse in a flash.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PiMP OS is the fastest and easiest way to mine ALL crypto currencies! on: October 14, 2019, 02:49:19 PM
Quite a bit has changed with this since I first tried it in the early days, its nice to see you guys continuing to develop and help keep pimp a modern choice for a mining rig operating system.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: October 14, 2019, 02:21:24 PM
Happy 8th birthday Litecoin!

Time flies when you are having fun in the crypto world, it will be interesting to see what the next eight years bring to this top ten contender.

Thanks to everyone that supports this project and Happy 8th

Thanks for the update, its nice to see Banano get more evenly distributed with this update which should help grow the number of Boom Pow proof of work clients on the network.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCR] Decred - Community Governance | Bitcoin Devs | Lightning Network on: October 12, 2019, 09:57:52 PM
I really like the user interface of this site. It's not difficult for beginners to navigate. The information conveyed is also straightforward and to the point. Very well developed. But I still look forward to your bounty or airdrop Wink Wink

Keep in mind you can also do split ticket buying with as little as five decred, so that may be another option for you if you do not have enough to purchase a ticket on your own.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake, a.k.a. "Clamcoin" on: October 12, 2019, 09:41:33 PM
Glad to see this project still alive and kicking, it was one of the first projects that I thought had a really cool way of distributing coins for BTC, Doge and Litecoin owners. One person that hit up multiple faucets and had many different addresses made out like a bandit, but Clam absorbed the hit and kept growing.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lytix - PoS Maxnode Crypto Platform on: October 12, 2019, 03:52:27 PM
There will most likely be a new ANN by Senaia. That BCT ANN isn't something I can hand off. Everything else is now in his hands. Once he owns DNS then all of it will be completed. There is more information on discord.

Awesome news, it sounds like you found someone who is in a good position to take the lead on this project and help it stay on track or at least afloat into the future. The fact that Senaia is also in the hosting business and will host the project is pretty amazing as well.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PlatinumBAR XPTX - Rare Cryptocurrency with PoW / PoS (230%) on: October 10, 2019, 07:56:29 PM
A small amount of XPTX is being given away on one of the exchanges, might bring it to the attention of others. Hopefully Coinmarketcap will get the total supply to match with the explorer since this will have an impact on the number rank. Not sure how the circulating supply is so off other than maybe they never updated things once the explorer got changed.

Yes the stats are off on CMC, to get them updated anyone can send them a support ticket but it could take a while before they update the stats as it took a few months with another coin I'm in. I just hope they don't delist XPTX as now it will only be listed on one exchange and CMC normally require two exchanges.

I could understand if it gets delisted with the volume the way it is and not a very large community or active development. Even coin with bigger numbers and community's are being delisted from exchanges because of the current state of alts.
