It might be better to get it on https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes

VGC is about number 12 on the list

Anything good going on with this, I found 2000 coins I forgot about

Best to unload them on the exchange?
where you found it?

From mining I did a while back

I have a potential capacity of 15,000 KH/s. Guys, I'm afraid to break your coin. What should I do?

I am just curious about how you are able to achieve such an insane amount of KH/s

Would you mind sharing the setup you are using to get this?
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XMG] Coin Magi | CPU mining | PoS-II | PoM | Unique BLK reward | [MagiPay] on: June 07, 2015, 02:36:44 PM
If a person had a low cost way of keeping the hash rate up for an extended period of time and owned a large amount of Magi in theory wouldn't they be able to keep the price higher by not allowing others to mine as much?

Coming back to this unanswered question.

I am not sure that preventing others from mining anything worthwhile for an extended period of time has any influence on the exchange price. We have already suffered long periods of miniscule block rewards as a result of such activities but I have not observed any influence of that on the price whatsoever.

If that excess hashrate was pointed instead at the XMG multipool then the earnings from that would be used to buy XMG on the exchanges and that would have a far greater influence on the price than anything else.

I guess it just comes down to keeping an eye on whats going on and making sure everyone is educated about using less Hash power to get a better result.

As far as the use of a GPU, I just think it would be cool to use a 20 watt $50 GeForce GT 720 to get 200 KH/s coupled with a 20 watt CPU setup you would not go over 60 watts. This of course is provided people did not abuse the system by using higher power setups etc.

Tested a Intel Celeron J1900 @ 1.99GHz quad core on Linux and Windows

Getting a steady 20-20.5 KHs on both linux and windows with Linux having a slight advantage

The power usage at the wall is about 22 Watts under full load with passive cooling

Motherboards with embedded cpu included run about $60-$70

5000 KH from one person on one of the pools

Someone isn't playing very nice

Someone always finds a way to beat the system

Yep I spotted them earlier. They have not beaten the system at all. The system has already responded by reducing the block reward to peanuts.

There just isn't the headroom available now to support a bulldozer trying to muscle-in. If you look a few posts back I posted a graph of the XMG block reward vs hashrate. Without the bulldozer we were running at around 42 Mh/s total hashrate, which is right on the point where the downward slope of the graph reaches a maximum gradient. Anything above that (magic) number will have the XMG block reward plummeting towards zero very quickly - which just happened a few minutes ago.

My machines use SweetSpot targeting, so it has reduced my hash output and I am saving energy until the block rewards rise again.

Not hard to beat the system. With 51%, you can orphan others' blocks. So I simply whip up a GPU miner, and with a very small number of cards, less than 20, likely, I can orphan you all to oblivion while getting ALL the block rewards - as long as I keep my hashrate under a certain threshold.

Nice, I had a feeling that was some GPU action going on

I like to see flaws exposed for the betterment of the community.

I am guessing a decent GPU can pull 200-250 khs and probably has room for even more improvement?

Sweetpot keeps you at an optimal level and basically allows you to hijack the network which is a very cool way to keep the price up and make sure you always get the lions share of mining. Nice work!

How would you fix that issue?

I haven't made one, but I know someone who has. I would estimate hashrates quite a bit higher than that.

AMD or Nvida and would they be willing to release it to the community for a fee?

The problem is they control the network and price this way

I don't see how one can leap to that conclusion.

Please ... FUDding we don't need.

If a person had a low cost way of keeping the hash rate up for an extended period of time and owned a large amount of Magi in theory wouldn't they be able to keep the price higher by not allowing others to mine as much?

Unless of course we talk about it here and realize whats going on?

Not trying to FUD, just trying to explain my thought process with this.

Im considering doing a takeover of this coin as this is my city coin. I want you to post here if you have any interest in me resurrecting this coin. DO NOT PM ME. I want the community to vote publicly. *IF* I get enough serious users posting here I will move forward with a professional take over. This coin  might be too dead, Im not sure. Lets hear your voice.

Vegas

I like the idea, I would suggest doing some kind of coin swap on the new chain for those long term supporters that did not sell when I suggested.

Maybe a 1 new for 8 old type swap to keep those long term supporters loyal ---- This of course depends on the supply and what is most fair.

I would also suggest getting away from Scrypt or SHA256 and go with Qubit or Quark -- Ocminers input on the Algo would probably be best.

I think 30-60 days for a takeover is more than reasonable

my 2 cents

Joe will open source XAI and will continue to work on this project. It's really good  Smiley

I agree, never a smart move to keep all the burden on one person.

Most decent projects have more than one person working on the project.

Relax.
I've spoken with the dev this morning. There will be updates & givaways soon.

Is there any news about the giveaways?

They are pretty much giving it away on the exchanges, maybe that is what he meant by giveaways.

Great community

This coin/project is on my top five list and FPGAs make this an even sweeter deal

I am excited about the possibility about learning more about and setting up some FPGA boards for long term low power environmentally friendly mining.

Thought I'd be the first to post here in almost a week.

How's this undiscovered diamond of a coin doing thesedays?

Diamonds take time, even in crypto

Is there any place in Vegas where I can pay with this "coin"?

They say so on the website, but I have no experience buying anything with it

Maybe someone else has tried?
