Looks like Orbitcoin is on www.coinwallet.co

A great way to stake your coins and not have to worry about keeping your wallet open all the time.

Nice to see constant progress with Orbitcoin!
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: February 04, 2016, 10:02:09 AM
I haven't checked in on Spread in a while. However while syncing wallet (9 weeks behind) I noticed the network speed has doubled and even tripled at times. What are/is the likely contributing factor(s) to this. More participants, improved mining software, pooling (not likely), I am curious if anyone has a definitive answer or observation. I like this project very much, 1.5 GH is a good step up for SPR Smiley

I think its a little bit of all the points you mentioned that are contributing factors to the growth of the network. Improved mining software is available and I have noticed a large miner jumping in when difficulty is low and back out when it rises. With more people mining to wallets now this helps to secure the network and make everything a bit more robust. I am not so sure about the pools since the only one I know of(spr.suprnova.cc) has not seen much activity for quite some time.

Very interesting project, unfortunate that Nvidia miners are not getting the same love as AMD

Do we need to crowd fund to get something valid released?

Maybe we just do not have enough Nvidia miners to Justify our existence.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Orbitcoin v1.5.0.0 ~ NeoScrypt ~ Green Stake on: February 03, 2016, 11:17:52 PM

Now I can not open the wallet.
in debug.log
"02/03/16 21:56:47 ERROR: LoadBlockIndexDB (): hashBestChain not loaded"
I restarted the computer and still not working.
File db.Log
"BDB3028 wallet.dat: unable to flush: No such file or directory" Angry

I assume you have your wallet.dat file backed up so I would consider deleting the Orbitcoin file and download the chain again and import your wallet backup.

I would also consider making a duplicate of the wallet and chain(once it syncs) as a backup in case you have any issues in the future.

If you ever have the computer shutdown unexpectedly it can corrupt the database so a battery backup is recommended.

I just notice that also and had to take a second look to make sure my eyes did not fool me. Unfortunately it is not across all the exchanges and looks like someone may just be doing something silly or manipulative. I am sure once it hits 31 for real quite a few people will be dancing the happy dance in the streets!

28 to 148 coins

If your wallet is unlocked for staking you should start seeing coins come in very soon once they build weight.

In the link about optimal stake size it talks about 20 to 50 per stack so you are within range of the optimal stake size.

With the current weight 50 may be closer to optimal but 20+ should still stake, it just may take a few more days.

Hi, how I can know if my wallet is working?

What size are your stacks

Have you looked at this? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=586674.msg7744291#msg7744291

Nice to see Orbitcoin on Bittrex

I think more and more people will take an interest in this coin with its long track record and stable dev.

You also have to love the green staking and low supply of this coin!

Congratulations to Orbitcoin!

https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-ORB

we need poloniex. The US-boys make the market. see Doge

Ghost maybe we should buy us a entry

Poloniex is a good idea and having orbitcoin on more exchanges is good for Orbitcoin and the community.

The main thing is to keep volume up and give people a reason to want to stick with Orbitcoin

A legit gambling site from a trusted name using Orbitcoin would work wonders for this coin.

This coin has been around and stable with a low supply, so its a coin people should take a look at.

Very happy to see we hit a block

Maybe this will encourage others to take a look at this pool in all its merged mining glory!

Etherum is now #2 most valuable coin after bitcoin. (+30% in the last 24hours)

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/#charts

Go and mine Etherum

I wonder how high it will go. I bought some back in October which is now worth almost twice as much.

Anyone's mining it with 750 Ti's on windows? If so, what speed? I get ridiculously low speeds on them and 18.8Mhs per 970 (1450/7800mhz). With another version I get ~19 Mhs but nothing gets sent to the pool.

Any optimizations could be very lucrative to the devs.

I started solo mining in the early days on linux and was getting 5-8 mh per card(750ti), now it seems like they are down to 2-3 mh

From what I have read you are doing fine if you get 17-20 mh on a 970

I ended up grabbing a few AMD cards and dedicated them to eth

750 ti cards are not that great for eth

If PXC and HAL can get added to another exchange (Bitt/Polo/Bleu/Yobit/ccex) I'll fill up the remainder of the pledge on behalf of www.zpool.ca

Cheers!

HAL was on Bittrex and delisted because of low volume and its unlikely any of those listings will happen by the deadline.

Donating a small amount on behalf of the pool would be a more realistic and respectable option in my opinion.

Thanks for stopping by! Smiley
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VGC - VegasCoin on: January 20, 2016, 10:38:15 AM
I was wondering the same thing as price has jumped. Today was in the top 5 at Cryptopia.
Seems someone is buying a lot for reasons unknown. I just checked the thread to see if
someone knew why the sudden interest. Someone has some kind of plan for this coin.
Scooping up as much as they can, before letting cat out of the bag. Maybe should fire up
my wallet again? Someone is up to something, just hope it is good! Will have to keep my eye on this!

Peace, Dennis

You never know with VegasCoin, when the coin looks like it has taken its final breath it always seems to resurrect.

It will be interesting to see how things pan out with this latest spark in the coin and mining.

Its hard to say what is going on, could be manipulation, a takeover with possible coin swap or someone being foolish.

Second donation sent as promised

I sent a PM with transaction info

I encourage everyone to donate something even if its a small amount

People can do so much more when they work together!

I just sent a small contribution to the Neoscrypt pot and sent a PM with the transaction info.

Thank you for all your work!

Nice to see things getting closer to the goal!
Thanks a lot for your support,
djm

ps: still not on target, please continue to donate, still one week left !!!
(for info, there were rather big donations, but small number of donations (less than 20ppl), do these 100's of neoscrypt user not donating
a thing just expect to get it for nothing ?? paid by these 20 donators  Huh  )

It appears that many of the neoscrypt users are expecting to get it for nothing and that is unfortunate. If the 100+ users made small contributions the funding would be over in a day.

I will have some more to donate to the project in three days and encourage others that have not donated to donate now.

The variance trap is real  Roll Eyes

ah not as bad as you think.  I am going to run something at it later in the week  rentals are very high at nicehash.
Yeah I am waiting for them to drop as well. Still have some balance on nicehash I need to run and will keep tossing more until a block is found.

I am going large at the moment 480th will do so for at least a few hours.

We just need about 5 to 10 more people to throw a decent amount of hash and we are good.

I have about 5th for the rest of the day will bump things up if we can get a few more people in on the action.

while the idea of the solar staker looks good to me, I think that a single solar array powering multiple devices (including PCs) is much more convenient and efficient.

one PC consumes at least 400 W, so you need something like 2x 250w  mono-crystalline solar panel,  add the solar charger, the converter, and you easily pay at lest $500 Smiley

And what happens when it's night ? Smiley

Typically you would want to do a grid tied system and overbuild it to deliver more power than you would need during the day. The excess power would be sold back to the grid during the day and you would use grid power in the evening.

A battery bank is an option but this also depends on your location and the amount of sun you get in your area and cloudy/rainy days

small consumer wind turbines are becoming less expensive and can be a good choice for a hybrid solar power system in windy locations.

The better choice would be to replace energy wasting appliances and lights(60 watt bulb to 5 watt led) and use a system built with the latest energy efficient technology http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130881

the price goes up strong against the BTC, logical ORB has a Blockreward of 1 ORB
the next step could be from 30.000 to 50.000 Satoshi
plus the BTC lifts off
for a long time trader a dream! You buy cheap earn money over POS with a little bit of energy consumption
distribution ensures that the value increases as the BTC. Everyone can influence it or leave it!
As also evaluate the benefits!

How long does it take for ORB coins to mature in the wallet and start POS ?

TIA.

Here is some info about the optimal stake size and time to start POS
