61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: From $30 free bet to $168 on: June 28, 2024, 07:32:10 PM
It seems that it's always been the case that whenever you don't care with your bet and money, the time of winning is coming.

But if you care so much to the point that you don't really wanna lose it all, the opposite comes. I don't know if this is the real mantra there but it happens to every gambler.

And with that free money that you've won from the prediction contest, you're able to grow it and that's the amazing part. Congratulations to your win Charles, I am sure it's a tough one but you made it.

Lending profits are guaranteed and fixed, and if the borrower is unable to repay his debt, you can double the interest. Therefore, lending is much better in terms of ensuring profit, but staking is good if you believe that there is a better future for the project and that the value of the token will increase.
The biggest risk with lending is about the borrower to default. I know that as a lender you will choose meticulously on who are going to be allowed and granted a loan.

But you'll never foresee that a good borrower will turn their way and will default on the loan. Many of those good folks and with reputation have turned their ways just because of their loan.

I think the platform also matters on which kind of lending websites or actual you'll do.

The other thing is  that it is certainly true as you say that the way that succeeds in producing victory today does not mean that you will again succeed in winning with the same method or trick tomorrow, meaning that the method or trick does not work but your luck is the cause of the victory.
Losing and winning aren't going to last. You will win today but lose tomorrow and then the vice versa.

But we all knew it that at most times, the chance of losing is more often happening than of winning. So, it's true that we don't get a daily dose of winning and that's why if it comes, we need to secure the winnings we get from there.

Because if not, the casino will eventually take it back because of our emotional thought that we're lucky for the entire day where in fact, it's not gonna be.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The benefits of Gambling on: June 28, 2024, 09:19:53 AM
Most of the topics we read are mostly mentioning about the negative side of gambling but I think we also discuss the positives of it...

1. Socialization
2. Income Generation
3. Employment
4. Support to the Gambling Industry

We've seen a lot of things enough to consider why gambling must exist. Maybe we just correct our views that gambling is bad because this also helps other people. We don't just focus on the bad things like addiction and debts that a person may commit by being an irresponsible gambler but also, must see the benefits it gives to the community and in our personal lives.
If it's about income generation, many are going to say that you shouldn't include that because gambling is for fun. Well, that's because it is very subjective and dependent to the gambler.

If he's a profitable gambler, that can't be contested then otherwise they're right or entitled for their opinion.

#3 and #4 is what is continue to roll. There are tons of employees and staff behind the operations and that's the entire economy of the industry is also being helped.
65  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Meme coins so how you trade them to make constant profits ? on: June 27, 2024, 11:59:34 PM
I am avoiding them as much as I can. They're too volatile for me and I don't know if my analysis will work for them.

Typically, they don't. And I'm not so good with how I'm going to read them. To say that someone gets constant profits from meme coins, it's probably they're early buyers and held it for quite a while and then sold it when the profit is in there.

To be honest, everyone is making it as if earning and trading memecoins is an easy thing but it's not.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recording gambling activities on: June 27, 2024, 10:59:45 PM
I have lost already my track for my wins and all of my losses. It's not going to work on me if I get track of them.

Because for sure that upon looking at the stats, they're just going to make me disappointed from having those more losses than wins.

Who's a gambler that has more wins? most of us have got more losses instead and that's why if you want to track them for that purpose, you're free to do that.
Disappointed is all I believe one will only get by tracking their gambling record. It's not easy to look at how much you have wasted in gambling; the amount during your time of playing might appear very small, but if you are to add all the records together, the sum that it will amount to might trigger a little hatred within yourself.

On a scale of 1–10, if we are to check how much people spend on gambling and how they actually win, we will have to realise that 8 out of that 10 might be under those who are just feeding the gambling with their losses.
That scale could be accurate.

But that's true, it's the most of us that we're spending a lot of money in gambling and you might not able to take it upon doing a tracking of these records of how much we allot money on it.

That's why for me, I have just accepted the fact that I've spent and lost a lot on it. I've won some but the joy that I've got with that was seem to be worth it temporarily. And after realizing everything, you'll get to be frustrated with how's your spending habits through gambling and as well as the results.
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you put money together with friends to bet on sports games? on: June 27, 2024, 09:56:45 PM
I like to do this with investing but not with gambling. In investing, the risk will be distributed although there's also risk in gambling but it's so different for me.

I think that the concern of many are valid about they don't want to trust their money to their friends. It's not actually about trusting it but it's about letting their money join their friends money.

If you want to sportsbet, we're free to do that without having to interact to any of them. The fun is still there and you don't have to bring a source of potential hatred or ruckus that might come from them.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is performing just fine currently on: June 27, 2024, 06:49:55 PM
well we can definitely see how there are two kinds of people in this world

one are those who see bitcoin's price being low and thinking that it may continue to go down so they do not want to invest in it because they believe they will just lose their money

the other one are those who are happy to see bitcoin being low because this means they now have the chance to buy bitcoin

confidently i belong to the second group of people i see btc crashing and i immediately buy as much as i can
If you have been on this market for years, the drops that we're seeing won't affect you a lot. Whether you're a long term holder or casual holder but believes that something is up in the upcoming months of Bitcoin.

We're all waiting for the best.

We won't be discouraged with how it is right now because it has dropped a lot after hitting the former ATH and the new one.

And as the title says, there's no problem to it as it's true that currently, it's fine.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY on: June 27, 2024, 04:58:06 PM
This is why you should never chase your losses.

It might sound like you're a real loser but you will have to swallow that for yourself as well. You'll get into deeper loss and tougher situation if you won't stop from the time you're already in a losing streak.

Betting with $1,000 is big and multiplying that to 12x and then losing it first should give you the reason to stop already. Tsk.
Despite the fact that gambling can give you a huge amount of money doesn't mean that one should allow himself to be blindfolded with this by gambling when you are running at loss with the intention of winning back your losses. Before gambling, you should ask yourself if winning is the most important thing or you want to have fun.

If you consider making profit, you should know that losses are more likely to come your way than profit. This is why any little amount of profit that you have made, keep it or withdraw it and don't think of making more profit otherwise, you might end up losing all.
IMHO, winning, having fun and making a profit doesn't really have any difference. All of them are fun when you just want to be positive.

You win, you're happy. You have fun and you'll still be happy and you make money, you'd be the happiest person in the world.

But it is different when you've been losing all day long and the amount is no longer to joke with because it's a serious amount that's gonna hurt your finances and financially.

Don't get to that point and never solve it with another mistake through chasing it.

71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: June 26, 2024, 10:37:16 PM
Looks like I may have been wrong on the Paul George situation.  Golden State is reportedly offering him a 4 year contract with a max deal attached to it.  I don't see Paul George passing this up.  I'm not sure how well he will fit in with Golden State, but he's a major upgrade from Klay Thompson on both ends of the floor.  I'm not sure where this would leave the Clippers going forward or if this will send Kawhi searching for a new team, but it's definitely interesting.  It would be the first time Steph has a legitimate superstar as a teammate.
Whilst Klay is still on the negotiation with them. It seems that the Golden State will pass on Klay if he don't accept their offer to him.

Anyway, if this is going to be in the contracts and they've offered PG with a max contract. That might hit Klay's ego that he's been with them and they can't give him the max 3 years contract that he's asking.

PG seems to be really fitting the role of Klay.
72  Economy / Economics / Re: Should there be a limit to investing in your children? on: June 26, 2024, 09:26:09 PM
If you get into survey the successful people now, you'll see that majority of them were supported by their parents to anything that they've done.

Maybe a couple few will say that they did it on their own. But the success of your children will have an impact on how you're helping them to stand on their own.

If giving them limitation based on your situation is what will work for you, it is okay. And if you're capable of making anything for them for their own growth in the future but you didn't do that because you wanna save money, think again.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: The Higher the capital the higher the returns on: June 25, 2024, 11:31:22 PM
It's best to start with the little that you can. Most of the big time investors and rich magnates are telling that to anybody.

They have the money to start big but they started with the least that they can.

We understand that the higher capital, bigger return is the logic in investing. But if you don't have that much capital, you really to have somewhere to start with the little that you can.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Soldiers using gambling to cope with stress. on: June 25, 2024, 10:38:05 PM
I haven't been into a war and I don't know what they do in times that they're off the battlefields.

If this is one way for them to remove their stress, all they wanna do is to take some time for themselves to at least forget that they're inside a battlefield.

I think that it's already out of our thoughts whichever they do for themselves while they are off-duty.

I'm okay with this to be honest if that's going to help them mentally for the meantime.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: June 25, 2024, 09:36:30 PM
Let us just wait until the negotiations are done. It is said that Klay wantd 3 year extension but the Warriors will only give him 2 years.

They are currently on the negotiations and if they do not meet at the middle.

Then, Klay will leave then and that is the time that PG will get in and with his tenure in the league, he will surely take any deal from them.
If Klay wants a 3-year extension, he needs to have a pay cut to open up cap space for some players to join their team. The new CBA rule ruined the whole Warriors because of how expensive they already are. If Klay doesn't want to have a pay cut, better to just trade him to another team that needs shooters. After all, many teams still want him despite of how he played during the regular season. Many believe he can still be a sharpshooter like he used to be. Anyway, I guess it's time for the Warriors core trio to split up now.

As for PG going to the Warriors, they might get him, but that will cause young Warriors players and Kuminga will be out of Golden State if that happens.
That's part of the negotiations and if he agrees to the pay cut then he's in. But if GSW is so full of him and he's gotta be let go then it's fully just business on their end.

There were even talks that if Steph want to retire, he'd retire to his pops team which is the Hornets, cmiiw.

What a boring stage of the year for us the people who folows the NBA....
Not that at all, too many dramas and trade rumors.  Cheesy
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: June 24, 2024, 11:41:09 PM
What do you guys think about the Warriors possibly signing Paul George if Klay decides to leave? As a Warriors fan, I would be sad to see Klay playing with another team, but he is really done for unless he gains back his confidence next season. Steph badly needs someone else who can help him offensively. When it comes to offense, I think PG is a better choice right now. Steph still has something left and still has a chance to get a ring, at least one or two, before he retires. It's just that he doesn't have much help, especially from Klay last season.

77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get your Dad (or Mom) to buy Bitcoin? on: June 24, 2024, 10:42:10 PM
As per my parent's decision I invest in Bitcoin but currently Bitcoin has moved to dumping position so my investment has suffered a lot of losses. Less educated and less informed parents are currently upset about my investment. But I am trying to convince my parents that every investment has risk and long term holding will definitely result in loss recovery.
They will be upset when they see the price of BTC goes down just after that they have bought.

But as you have said, less informed will be scared of the situation and if you are not one of them.

You will teach your parents that at the time like this, it is the best time to buy when the markets are falling down.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone take gambling as a source of income to he/she life? on: June 24, 2024, 09:29:10 PM
There are rare cases when someone wins a huge jackpot in slot machines and his life changes yet there are over 99.99% others who has gone bankrupt because of such thing.
This is different from someone who can be said as a gambling professional.

They'll surely allot the money properly to where it should be because they need it for their needs. While it's true that someone who's doing it or have done it before will have hard time.

Out of the many gamblers, there are very tiny numbers of those that still rely on gambling for all of their needs.

Almost impossible and very hard but they're able to survive.

80  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do traders lose money in trading? on: June 24, 2024, 11:04:21 AM
1/ Lack of Discipline— a) Not sticking to one strategy, b) not respecting your trading rules, c) not sticking to your plan
The plan is to make a profit but whenever that plan and profit is hit, you do not follow your discipline and plan. You want to profit more and that is because that type of trader lacks discipline.

From a to c, they are all correct. You do not respect and honor your plan and the rules that you set for yourself.

You are so distracted by adjusting new rules and new goals.
