61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the main problems bitcoiners face? on: November 27, 2016, 12:03:40 AM
I hate to say this comparison because I make it a lot...Online Poker started to die once people started to learn how may of the regulars cheated and the issues stacked from there.
You look at bitcoin and the multitudes of scammers on here and in the bitcoin poker scene and you have a issue of perception. Till people see some good coming out of the scene it is destined to wallow in its filth till some one steps up.
62  Other / Meta / Re: how to gain trust? on: November 26, 2016, 11:59:48 PM
Let it come, any other way of pushing for it just screams potential issue later on. If you follow any of the drama on this forum it is usually because of the trust and who trusts who.
Would rather just stay clear of it but that is just my take on it. You want to get into the knife in the back tactics that they play on each other,by all means get that trust green.
You stick around here long enough you know it is a overrated system.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Bogus on: November 26, 2016, 10:16:59 PM
The opec will fail to reach an agreement with the big players and we will see prices drop as low as $25 next year. Look at their track record. Oil will crash hard.

I see OPEC coming to a agreement in the 1st quarter of the year, they can not afford to keep playing cat and mouse now with current global dynamics shifting against them.
The one aspect I find interesting with all the negative news about oil price is the Oil Sands(Tar Sands) are getting ready to ramp up and most projects need $60 a barrel, some can get by with $40.
So they are not going to put more money in if they expect oil to keep this downward trend or stay where it is. They get a little closer with each talk.

This talk about oil going away is crazy, the use of oil is not just for cars! Grin

Fidel and Raul are very similar,in fact Raul is more extreme in a lot of aspects when it comes to the Socialist bend.
True change will not come under him either,in fact the changes right now are out of survival with the other Socialist superpowers all falling apart.
Would not dance on Fidels grave but I also do not shed any tears for the man as long as the people suffer for believing in or being forced to believe in a different way of life.
66  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do you agree if coinbase/exchangers give the data of costumers to IRS/government on: November 26, 2016, 08:08:57 PM
If they did not show they where the type of company that would comply to the fullest early on with other actions then I would be taken back.
But they have shown they are going to do whatever it takes to play ball at the expense of their own customers. Why people supported them early on to get them to this size is beyond me,its the same crowd that want regulation to increase the price of bitcoin. Its a real faulty outlook or line of thought to think these issues will not present themselves as companies jockey to be the biggest and control the majority of the action. This happens with most online businesses that want to keep growing.

I do feel sorry for most Americans because they seem to have little choice in some areas then to play ball. Or at least this is how it appears.
67  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♠ BETCOIN.AG ♠ OFFICIAL THREAD- The Poker Sports Casino Dice Affiliate Community on: November 26, 2016, 07:24:50 PM
Seems to be a problem with the daily coin, forgive me if this has been addressed before but I found it misleading.

I won a ticket into the Step 1 and proceeded to win it,thinking that the lobby info was correct in stating
"Double or Nothing - Top 50% of players receive ticket to Step 2. 1st is also refunded buyin via TM."!

So I got no refund back and contacted support to be told the promo is no longer active,to which I ask why is it still showing up in the lobby?
Change it or honor what you state, otherwise it misleads people when they can just bounce out as soon as half the field is gone.

Sure this has been addressed before, since it is a pretty popular freeroll, but I wanted to add my two cents to the issue.

------------------------------------------
Edit:

Sitting in the step 3 I notice the same message about refund.
But here is another aspect I do not understand,if there is no point after 50% are out,why have the tourney keep going after that point till some one wins?
Seems like a waste of time, there should be a perk even if it is minor for finishing first in my opinion. Otherwise the lobby should be fixed to make this clear for players.
68  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcoin BlackFriday SCAMS: buygyft.com and cryptonews.us on: November 26, 2016, 07:16:12 PM
What may seem obvious is usually how so many get roped in,its really basic scams that are the most successful.
Sucks these scammers never miss a beat and take advantage of the crazy holiday. Think google can do a hell of a lot better in looking at these sites that copy similar site names.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: November 26, 2016, 07:13:39 PM
The drug scene is so odd these days or at least the way the media feeds the stories. They go on and on about fentanyl and how bad it is and users are still doing it,then they talk about a different strain that can take down a elephant. Now they have this thing called yoyoing where they mix it with the heroin and it leaves me thinking these people want to die! So why waste so much money
bringing them back to life when they overdose? It costs so much damn money and now the amount of people overdosing is ten times what it used to be.
I know I should be blaming the pharmacies for pushing this garbage but damn.
I have to scratch my head about any one buying drugs off line not knowing the supplier personally,it seems like such a gamble. Might just be that I am older,I do recall a time when I did not give a fuck either,so it must be age.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the Trojan horse to help push the move to a world government? on: November 26, 2016, 12:58:14 AM
Bitcoin removes the necessity of requiring third parties to keep track of personal transactions

Incorrect if you mean to imply that Bitcoin is not centralized:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1690725.msg16991114#msg16991114

The distinction is that the centralized entities are global. The nation-states can't regulate the miners. But the miners are centralized and will become ever more so. It is a winner-take-all economic paradigm. Why wouldn't the global elite love that?

Decentralized is not the same as distributed!

When I say that it is decentralized....I mean that no single entity has control over the contents of the ledger.

Proof-of-work mining is a winner-take-all economic paradigm:

But, how will they get my corn when I don't want their currency?  And, how will they recruit my labor if I am unable to purchase my food with their payment option?  They can have all the bitcoin in the world....it won't mean a thing if there isn't a willingness to use it to exchange real world production for real world service.....a measure's worth of food for a measure's worth of labor.  <----that's what everything boils down to and that is mankind's default setting....How will the global elite force us to use their platform when we decide  it has no use?

You are looking at this from a sane mans vantage but this is not what we are dealing with in context to a dominating power, seeking to control the world.
In the Western world we think free will is ours and in more destroyed areas of the world people realize it is not free.
If any man can be broken through torture, what hope do you think bitcoiners have of staying above the water when government turns their gaze in our direction!
Its easy to spin and if you have money it is a tool you use to crush any opposition. Bitcoin can barely get the word out about its  self to the world and we think its going to survive a attack?
Not saying you are wrong because I think you are looking at bitcoin through a lens of bitcoin only and I like to pan out and look at the world shifts of late to draw in to the bitcoin discussion.
Mans default setting is different for some,if you read any holocaust books, they talk about some people surviving well others gave in. Its a very strange aspect about humans and I always wonder about that when ISIS is rounding up these men and they bunch together like this is not happening. Not judging them but it makes me uneasy seeing that aspect of life,it forces me to contemplate some values.

72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the Trojan horse to help push the move to a world government? on: November 25, 2016, 11:40:38 PM
I hate being this way but I need to go grab my tinfoil hat for this discussion...

The things that got me concern are flying right a long at the same time as bitcoin and fall into the grasp for global domination but a elite group.
We have governments being over turned and trade deals going sour with a protectionist lean becoming the apparent new in thing.
The trick is making people believe that the changes they want are their own and not some concept dreamed up to strip the average citizen down into a drone.

These things happen over generations and look at the current deal with cell phones, everyone has one and they rely on them day to day like zombies.
You take away the internet and people would not know how to adjust and would need some one to guide them along, its a very easy path to see if you take your head out from where ever you have it tucked. It may not happen but it is quite easy to see happening.

Hell I am still scratching my head over gender categories for some new dating site,37 different sexes!!! I mean I can count 6 maybe by listing off the LGBTQ and adding hetro to the end.

So if you look at bitcoin...(Like I proved anything, more of a psychotic rant) you can see all the little aspects that have been shut down like negative interest rates and how a government sponsered coin could achieve these goals. Problems with the peons, strip their coins away in one sweep and have them beg for it back. Give it back but take away a little human right as you go.
If you find this hard to swallow think about the rights that went bye bye after 9/11.

As much as I like bitcoin I can see the perversion of it coming in quickly.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sweden Begins Planning Transition From Cash To Digital Currency on: November 25, 2016, 05:03:01 PM
This stuff really irks me,as the majority of the people will see this as a great thing till the real plan is ushered in.
Get us all comfortable with cryptocurrency through government and then slowly charge people for stupid stuff...

- Tax on use of roads taken directly from wallet based on your gps
- Negative interest rates
- Overbearing tax grabs at tax time (Meaning they take more than you owe and are slow to pay back for the mistake giving you no interest)

Its a sad state for the future if we let these government powers hijack something that could free us completely from their grasps.
Looks like its going to one or the other now, instead of having the option to spread your eggs out in different facets of investment.

Seems very NWO like and the issues we see are nowhere close to what they have planned.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Exchanges at Japan Get be Insured on: November 25, 2016, 04:55:41 PM
Insurance and regulation go hand in hand,so on one hand it is good for people wanting to put a lot in one exchange and on the other what are they giving up to achieve this protection? Japan is moving a lot faster on bitcoin then I was expecting, presumed it was mostly a gesture for them.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Circle CEO on BTC: Nobody Will Be Using Bitcoin in 5 to 10 Years on: November 25, 2016, 04:53:00 PM
Some of these established sites have other agendas in play and manipluting the markets and perception seem to be ongoing issues with bitcoin in general.
No one can see that far down the line for bitcoin as it has yet to be positively connected to one thing in the market yet! Its pure speculation for the most part on the Chinese,India or future regulations.
Find the more power some one has in the bitcoin community the more they are willing to partake in swaying public opinion one way or another.
76  Economy / Gambling / Re: ◥◤ NitrogenSports ◢ Largest & Most Trusted BTC Sportsbook ◣ Mega MMA Promo ◥◤ on: November 24, 2016, 06:41:34 PM
Just like to echo what Ruggedman_dan was saying about perks and how annoying trivia is when you need some help.
It just allows players to sit up in chat instead of begging they ask for trivia, its the same deal.

Noticed for a well now that Nitro has clamped down on giving out and freebets when you run into any issues with the site.
The messages are getting more copy and paste like and very dismissive in nature. Sometimes I think if I type to much it becomes a English issue and they pick on issue to respond to. Guess this is more of a support gripe then anything. Lately it feels like a frontline response to cut players off.

The poker promos where nice till the cheaters showed up and now its pretty much just a big party for them, unless you can get through the onslot of players on multiple accounts. As much as I appreciated the addition of headsup tables, they seem to be allowing the cheats to just swap hands till they hit 50 or 100 and call it a day. The players now in these are hitting 100 and its clear most of them are playing 100 hands against one another to exploit the promo.
The Sunday tourney for playing a tourney was a mess as soon as you did not make it a weekly requirement. Now all some one needs to do is play sng and that account is set up for life.
The affiliate tourneys are a joke as well since I have caught players bragging about opening up new accounts to exploit the tourney
and seeing no issue with it. Having lost all my affiliates last year to bitcoin100101(or whatever his name is) I decided to forfeit my future affiliates to play against what appears to be more cheaters.

So where are the perks?
You just create more wasted time with these tourneys by not policing for cheats. A tourney that should be running 30-45 minutes can go on for hours. The cheats sit at the top with the mass of chips knocking players out left and right. Its pathetic that nothing is done about this.

Suggestions:

- Make the tourney player tourney once a week requirement and over .01 buyins.

- Actually patrol these tourneys from time to time, reporting has done little to help and is a waste of our time, when they are just opening a mass of accounts. Its clear when the account numbers follow each other like 1260515,260516 and so on.

- Put a limit on how many freerolls a player can play in a day
This would help catch the players that switch over to new accounts in a set pattern, one more way to catch these jerks.

77  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are the top 5 best lending websites? on: November 22, 2016, 09:21:03 PM
You seem eager to join these sites and I will just give you a word of advice.
The time will come when one if not all these sites go under and that will be the day when the chicken comes home to roost.
Meaning that all the details you give will be sold as they exit stage left and these sites are asking for more details then they should.
Like allowing them to access your bank account, which is against most banks term of service.
It may seem like a decent plan right now but in the long run you will suffer for the decisions made today.

Besides the lending is lacking if you are not bringing much to the table.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: R.I.P. ChangeTip on: November 22, 2016, 09:13:11 PM
Was the main premise to create a easy way for writers that did not see the light of day in the circle of magazines to still get paid?
Its to bad,as we need more voices to counter the 'fake news"(Sorry could not resist) and breathe fresh ideas and concepts into a polluted narrative
ran over by big wallets.
Did not follow the evolution line of how the service might have gone off track but I would hope that there is still a place to reward well thought out papers and articles.

I also agree a lot of companies that are now needing life lines due to ill thought out ideas should go to the way side and be replanned or left to die.
Hopefully a better concept comes along.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you all - Sheep? on: November 22, 2016, 09:05:18 PM
Why does everyone just stand around doing nothing while nullc / Blockstream / GMax takes over Bitcoin?

Was curious about the mindset to call people as a group "sheep" and not include ones self in the grouping.
Like any aspect of life people do not care till they care and little changes that aspect. Jumping up and down rarely gets attention or change in these respects as people go blind after seeing repetitive issues paraded like the sky is falling. Has it fallen yet?
Wake me up when it does, comfortably positioned in the middle of the flock.
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling destroyed me....advice me what to do now..? on: November 20, 2016, 10:02:37 PM
Its the wrong place to seek help to start off but I will try to help you out.

I am hoping you are currently working as it is easier to dig out of a hole when you are some what distracted and work is great for that.

Not knowing your family and how they react it is hard to truly get the heart and help. But you have mentioned you have burnt bridges so that at least
gives a idea that they did not completely shut you out and see the addiction to some extent as not you.

I recomend you go to a gamblers anonymous or even AA,you do not need to keep going but it helps you see that you are not alone in this fight.
Know it has a weak track record but you can at least try it out,it might work and if it does great.
Start working out and go for a walk when you feel like blowing off some money. Its really that you are trying to break a pattern and gambling is a repetitive conditioning. So it takes time to break the hardwired urge to gamble. Reason I suggest walking as it has worked for me with my wanting to blow up and rage at people.

You are going to get through this and I suggest help because suicide is very prevalent with gambling addiction. There is a light and you just need to go one step at a time towards breaking the habit.

Wish you well and never forget that it is easy to slip, its what you do when you slip that matters.
