JUNE 21--The latest document dump from “Guccifer 2.0,” the hacker who breached the Democratic National Committee’s servers, shows that party officials have researched Hillary Clinton’s prior travel on private jets, the Clinton Foundation’s investments, and the Democratic presidential candidate’s speech contracts.

The hacker this morning began distributing more than 250 files--totaling thousands of pages of records--that appear to have been prepared by DNC research staff.

In e-mails to TSG, “Guccifer 2.0” claimed to be from Romania (like “Guccifer”) and portrayed himself as a “hacktivist” with “a lot of fans” and an “unknown hacker with a laptop.” He also chafed at TSG’s prior description of him as a felon. “Ok, but stop calling me the vandal. I'm not a criminal I'm a freedom fighter,” the hacker wrote.

As for the DNC’s claim that the breach was the work of Russian intelligence agents, “Guccifer 2.0” dismissed the assertion as a “Total fail!!!” In recent correspondence, the hacker has used an AOL France e-mail account.

The bulk of the material released today centers on Clinton’s position on scores of domestic and international issues and criticisms leveled against her by assorted opponents. The documents include Clinton’s counterarguments to those attacks from Republican officials and other foes.

Along with Clinton’s tax returns, personal financial disclosure reports, and U.S. Senate travel records, the DNC dossier included copies of contract documents related to the presidential candidate’s paid speeches.

In addition to a “standard” $225,000 fee, Clinton required a “chartered roundtrip private jet” that needed to be a Gulfstream 450 or a larger aircraft. Depending on its outfitting, the Gulfstream jet, which costs upwards of $40 million, can seat 19 passengers and “sleeps up to six.” Clinton’s contract also stipulated that speech hosts had to pay for separate first class or business airfare for three of her aides.

As for lodging, Clinton required “a presidential suite” and up to “three (3) adjoining or contiguous rooms for her travel aides” and up to two extra rooms for advance staff. The host was also responsible for the Clinton travel party’s ground transportation, meals, and “phone charges/cell phones.”

Additionally, the host also had to pay “a flat fee of $1000” for a stenographer to create “an immediate transcript of Secretary Clinton’s remarks.” The contract adds, however, “We will be unable to share a copy of the transcript following the event.”

Other records indicate that the party did not believe that Clinton would face any significant challenge on her way to the Democratic presidential nomination. Two months before Clinton formally announced she was running, a DNC researcher was already examining “Clinton foundation investments” and “Clinton foundation transparency and timelines.”

One of the DNC researcher’s projects was “Countering Republican attacks on Clinton’s record” and “determining the best pushback.”

Along with failing to anticipate the strength of the Bernie Sanders candidacy, the DNC records show that early research focused on Jeb Bush and how the Republican candidate’s ideas overlapped with those of “Bush 41 and 43 non-Iraq foreign policy legacies.” (4 pages)

Architect: Demolish Churches, Replace With Mosques To Integrate Migrants

A prominent German architect has said that in order to better integrate migrants, churches should be demolished and very “visible” mosques be built in their place.

Interviewed in Die Tageszeitung, Joaquim Reinig said he believes Hamburg needs to build more mosques. He said mosques “actively integrate” migrants who the authorities can’t reach.

The newspaper asked the architect if he really thought mosques would help migrants integrate rather than just “perpetuate their ancestral way of life”. He replied that in order to properly integrate people in a foreign country, migrants must “have no fear”. This should be done, Mr. Reinig thinks, by building very “visible” mosques.

“The visible minaret in modern architecture is a message to the migrants: Do not fear having to lose your identity in this society,” he said.

Mr. Reinig said mosques were a sign of integration as they show Muslims they can build a life in Germany while retaining their faith. He noted that Turkish guest workers, who arrived generations ago, thought they would return to Turkey one day.

Once they had children and grandchildren in Germany, he argued, the “relatively secular” workers from Anatolia “remembered” their religion.

“The desire to become a German citizen and the activation of their faith ran parallel,” he told the co-operative owned, left-wing newspaper.  This comes after a report this month revealed that half of Turks in Germany regard Islamic law supreme over German laws and that young people are the most devout.

In the interview, Mr. Reinig noted that a 2013 report he had co-written stated an “urgent need” for mosques in the region. He said that, responding to this, Green politician Stefanie Berg called for “a mosque in every neighbourhood”.

Mr. Reinig said he and the Hamburg Senate observed 42 mosques in the region. They looked at the languages in which they preach, documented the mosques’ sizes and learned about the “community work” they engage in.

He said the Hamburg Senate worked closely with the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB), which German ministers have criticised for being controlled by the Turkish government.

Mr. Reinig said there is plenty of space for mosques in Hamburg as many churches in the region “have to be abandoned”. He said this means there are “theoretically 50 locations” for mosques. He noted that around three per cent of Christians in Germany, 23,000 people, attend church in the region compared to the 17,000 Muslims who currently attend mosques in Hamburg.

Asked whether it might cause a backlash to turn churches into mosques, the architect said he thought churches should generally be demolished rather than converted. He said: “Jews, Christians and Muslims, as members of Abrahamic religions, are theologically brothers and sisters.

“They have many similarities so should have no fear.”

The newspaper asked Mr. Reinig why, as a progressive, he preferred “contemporary mosques” to secular places “free from” religion. The architect responded that secular places are “undisputed classics”, so he has spent recent years lobbying for an immigration museum in Hamburg.

“In the Veddel [district] there is already an emigration museum, but the story of immigrants, the ‘guest workers’ must be documented now, while they are still alive,” Mr. Reinig said.

The architect said he felt Islamic terror events hit Muslim communities hard but that in the mosques they are “very strong under pressure”.

“There are 42 Muslim communities in Hamburg,” Mr. Reinig told the paper, “and they lead a normal life  — they are far from terrorists.”

Earlier this month, four Syrians were arrested for plotting France-style suicide bomb attacks and mass shootings in Germany. The country’s justice ministry revealed they are currently investigating more than 180 terror suspects in Germany with links to Islamic State.

Trump is gonna be in the Torah for liberating Jerusalem. Final details are being written now...

That's because his ideas are 5,000 years old!!!!!!
If they are right, I don't really care they are 5'000 or 10'000 years old. A lot of truth can be found in greek philosophical texts, most of them are still valid now and will be for years to come.

I think people saying stuff like "Come on it's [insert actual year]" are more prone to be illiterate, than others understanding than human nature is something that cannot change in a few decades/centuries and who actually accept and understand that old texts might still be useful nowadays.

Yep.

Populist Surge Puts First Woman Virginia Raggi in Charge of Rome

Rome (AFP) – Virginia Raggi was elected Sunday as Rome’s first female mayor, exit polls showed, in an electoral triumph for the populist Five Star Movement that represents a major setback for Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.

Exit polls gave Raggi around two thirds of the vote in a run-off contest with Roberto Giachetti of Renzi’s centre-left Democratic Party (PD).

The 37-year-old lawyer and local councillor, a complete unknown only a few months ago, had been widely expected to claim the keys to City Hall.

But the margin of her victory exceeded expectations with the exit polls pointing to her taking between 62 and 68 percent of the vote.

Polls suggested the PD had not suffered such big reverses elsewhere but the centre-left was in danger of losing control of the major northern cities Milan and Turin while holding on to Bologna and Naples.

Victory in Rome is a major coup for the anti-establishment Five Star Movement (MS5) founded by comedian Beppe Grillo only seven years ago.

The party has since established itself as the major opposition force in Italian politics and analysts say victory in Rome will give it a platform to mount a challenge to Renzi in national elections due in 2018.

Raggi successfully tapped into widespread anger among voters over the state of the capital’s public transport and other services, widely seen as having been undermined by years of sleaze in the municipal administration.

– Time for change –

“It’s time to change Rome,” was the battlecry of her campaign, along with Five Star’s constant refrain of “honesty”.

Her cause in the capital was helped by the ousting of her predecessor, the PD’s Ignazio Marino, over an expenses issue and a much bigger scandal over organised crime’s infiltration of the city administration.

In what is known as the “Mafia Capitale” case, dozens of local businessmen, officials and politicians are currently on trial for their involvement in a criminal network that ripped off the city to the tune of tens — if not hundreds — of millions of euros.

Scams abounded for years, from stealing the funds allocated to transport ethnic Roma children to school to paving the city’s streets with wafer-thin surfaces, according to prosecutors.

Raggi has vowed to make such abuses impossible with far-reaching reforms of the way the local administration is run, as well as getting public services back on track.

But many analysts are sceptical about her ability to make a difference given her lack of experience and the city’s huge structural problems, which include a debt mountain of over 13 billion euros ($14.7 billion).

– Olympics not a priority –

Raggi was a late entrant to politics, telling AFP recently that she had been inspired by the birth of her son Matteo to try and make her home city a better place for him to grow up in.

One area in which she is likely to make an immediate impact is on the credibility of Rome’s bid to host the 2024 Olympics.

She said during the campaign that she did not consider winning the Games as essential, arguing that the city has bigger problems it needs to address first.

“No Roman has asked me whether I back the Olympics,” she said, in comments that will delight rival cities Paris, Los Angeles and Budapest. “They talk to me about transport, they talk to me about schools. (The Olympics) are not a priority, they’re really not a priority.”

Seven-Year-Old Little Girl Shows Gersh Kuntzman How To Shoot AR-15

Published on Jun 16, 2016

Gersh Kuntzman of the New York Daily News wrote:

"What is it like to fire an AR-15? It’s horrifying, menacing and very, very loud. It felt to me like a bazooka — and sounded like a cannon. ... I’ve shot pistols before, but never something like an AR-15. Squeeze lightly on the trigger and the resulting explosion of firepower is humbling and deafening (even with ear protection). The recoil bruised my shoulder, which can happen if you don't know what you're doing. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary form of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable." - An adult man

Iranian Cleric: ‘Improperly’ Dressed Iranian Women Cause Global Warming…

A senior Iranian cleric from Isfahan, Iran, said “immorality” among young Iranian women, stemming from dressing “improperly,” is resulting in climate change and causing the rivers and dams in Iran to run dry.

During his weekly Friday sermon, Imam Seyyed Youssef Tabatabi-nejad said, “My office has received photos of women next to the dry Zayandeh-rud River pictured as if they are in Europe.” Tabatabi-nejad added, “It is these sorts of acts that cause the river to dry up even further,” according to the Iranian Student News Agency.

He added that “improper veiling” also contributed to this unnatural phenomenon. Just last month, the Iranian regime arrested eight Instagram models for “promoting immoral and un-Islamic culture and promiscuity” by appearing on the social media platform without wearing the mandatory hijab, a head covering that is often required under Islamic Sharia law.

The Islamic cleric’s comments arrive at a time when the regime is increasing its crackdown on youth for espousing Western values through their social media accounts and attire.

Tabatabi-nejad also called for Iran’s morality police to crack down on this “improper veiling” and urged Iran’s parliamentary Hezbollahi forces to “carry out operations to root out vice” in these women. (Iran’s Hezbollahi forces were created at the founding of the Iranian revolution to help the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in his quest to consolidate power. In their current capacity, they act as a sort of morality police force and an extension of the regime.)

SWEDEN: Up to 70% of ‘Child’ Migrants Are Actually Adults

SWEDEN is set to begin a controversial age testing scheme on more than 18,000 unaccompanied migrant children.

The Swedish Migration Agency claim there is reason to doubt as many as 70 per cent of asylum applicants who say they are between the ages of 15 and 17.

But doctors have hit out at the tests, claiming there is no reliable way to test someone’s age.

The nation’s justice and migration minister Morgan Johansson said: “This is not just about asylum procedure, it’s about the safety of the accommodation.

“Adults should live with adults and children should live with children, which is why this should be done as early as possible in the procedure.”

It comes after David Cameron was forced to U-turn on a decision to stop extra unaccompanied child refugees from entering the UK last month.

The Prime Minister announced the climbdown as Downing Street acted to head off a Tory rebellion.

The Government had previously been opposed to offering shelter to an extra 3,000 unaccompanied child refugees who had already made their way to Europe.

But ministers have been forced into a reverse decision after backbench Conservatives signalled they were ready to inflict a damaging House of Commons defeat on the Government over the issue.

Ann Lemne from Sweden’s National Board of Forensic Medicine confirmed that the tests could not be completely precise.

Ms Lemne said: “There is no method for medical age assessment can be safely determine an exact age.

“With all methods, the result is produced as an age span.”
