61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: June 07, 2017, 09:46:07 AM

Steve says he finds the offer of Bitbay "reval" as compensation for loss of Mac QT wallet acceptable.

LOL. Quite!

I don't understand why the Kraken Tier 1 & 2 verification takes so long. You can fill in anything you want, there is no way to check for Kraken if the personalia are correct, so why no fast-approvement for Tier 1 & 2. For Tier 3 i understand it takes a while because u have to review the uploaded documents.
A way to slow down new accounts, maybe. If so, this would be Kraken's dumb solution to the fact, they cannot scale.  Roll Eyes
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VERITASEUM DISCUSSION THREAD on: June 04, 2017, 10:44:34 AM
Is the user "Masiah" part of the team? Can you confirm Reggie?
Masiah is Veritaseum's first intern. He's been invaluable in assisting in chewing through the massive email (and soon, voicemail) cue that has built up. He's also very talented and I'm quite proud of him :-)

You are correct to be cautious, for Veritaseum email has been spoofed before. If you get a suspicious email from the Veritaseum domain, check the security cert. and make sure the entire root domain is spelled EXACTLY as you see it in our website - or - email in to support using direct links from our site (do not Google search it - very risky) to confirm.
Perfect. Thanks for the confirm.

Dont know who is more dull and pathetic .....r0ach, for making 8 year old arguments that have been done to death, or the plebs who feel delusion needs to be answered/quoted.

Is the user "Masiah" part of the team? Can you confirm Reggie?
I assume he is, since Reggie hasnt said anything about Masiah speaking in 'we' terms, but youre right to ask. I need it confirmed before i can deal with him regarding swapping my old VERI for new.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: AUGMENTORS ICO on: June 03, 2017, 02:23:27 PM

Hi backers,

We’ve got an exciting update that we’d like to share with you.

The team has been hard at work to produce a playable version of Augmentors by the end of this week, and we are incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made. Before we get into the details we’d like to tell you about some other exciting news.

We’re thrilled to announce that Marshall Long, the Managing Partner of Mockit eSports, has joined us in an advisory capacity. Marshall has extensive experience helping gaming studios produce and market world-class eSports games. We are absolutely delighted that he has chosen to partner with us.

Marshall has reviewed the game and is very happy with the progress we have made. As per his recommendation we’ve decided to release the current version of the game as a pre-alpha to selected eSports specialists and of course a few of you. The aim is to get early-on constructive feedback from pre-alpha testers. If you’re one of the lucky ones… get ready for an exclusive pre-alpha play of the game this weekend, which will give you a taste of the game to come. Pre-alpha players will be notified by Friday and we cannot wait to share our hard work with you.

To re-confirm, we are still on track for a final release of Augmentors in early 2018 and as promised will burn our Databits hold down to 30% on 15th June 2017.

Cheers,

The Augmentors Team

Don't want to FUD or anything, but Marshall Long is connected to some shitty projects, including Eboost, a cryptocurrency which lost over 95% of it's value after ICO. It was really a shakedown as the team didn't take any action to protect the value of the coin or project whatsoever. For reference check https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1630351.0 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1690040.0

I'm not saying this project is going down but from experience i can say this guy is a huge walking red flag. Make from it whatever you want, i'm just giving a heads up.
Beat me to it. Gleb has been quoting the antics of ML for ages.
At least its only an advisory role.  Undecided

67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund - LARGEST Crypto Crowdsale In History on: June 03, 2017, 07:47:06 AM
Are you guys withdrawing to ether or waves platform? I'm unsure, maybe 50/50 both? Since waves has a trade platform and it's rising quickly right now? any thoughts?
If you want to trade your coin next week, choose ETH. If you want to Hodl, choose Waves.
What is the difference on the value, I know Waves is currently on pump, is it all about the value in the future?
Waves will give more value, can you explain further? Anyone..
'Value' is a debatable concept for elsewhere, but if you are talking about price, the arbitrage opportunities are interesting.

Ok good, i thought somthing was wrong with the numbers. I put up 6 eth they where around 215ish i got 985 mobilego. No matter how you do the math its a rip, 100m or 70m. It looks to me like a programmer done his math wrong in the calculation. .76 x 1xxx is a percentage. 1xxxx ÷ .76 is xxx units at 76 cents. Or i could be really sleep would someone help.
you guys got to stop complaining seriously its all clearly detailed in the whitepaper u choose to deposit when you did i sent most of mine when game was at 1.10-1.15 dont hear me crying foul, and if you sent late into the ico it was time stamped at that price it was done fairly stop crying foul already.

Actually, the allocation method was neither contained in the white paper, nor contained on the ICO web page. If they clarified  the method on the ICO webpage, there would be less complaint about this.

The Storj tokens which adopted the time stamped method did state it clearly on their ICO pages and their coins have a definite USD value. Therefore the investors could use a different pattern to invest, they could invest a portion of their bitcoin at the beginning and invest the remains at the end. However, the mobilego tokens omitted the information which is so important to investors, and it is really unfair to the early investors who thought it would be using a normal method to distribute the tokens.

If it was a real-world IPO, the company would be conceived as a deceiver. Hiding important information from the investors would result in a class action lawsuit.

In this specific case, I suggest that all the early investors should at least argue with the project team, Cause their method is really lack of good reasoning point, both in theory and practice.

I was here prior to the ICO going live. I invested during the first day of the ICO going live and I invested on the last day before closing.

During all this time I knew exactly what I was getting myself in to. I knew that investments were timestamped. Jack was in here every day telling people just that too. And it was in the whitepaper.

If you are going to invest money, you should take the time to at least glance through the whitepaper. Otherwise you will always be on the receiving end of a beating.

Nobody should argue about this fact with the team, they've made it very clear ever since the start that this was the method that were to be used. I guess that these days where people who basically did nothing but get lucky to be inside of a pump and earn some money think they are entitled to so much.
So so true.

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VOXELS (VOX) | The Official Coin of Virtual Reality and Voxelus Platform on: June 01, 2017, 07:20:48 AM
You can see on marketcap that Vox was a bad investment for the Ico participants, people got angry and than its called a scam.

Then the fudders are inventing all kinds of stories to relieve themself from their disappointment,

its understandable, it hurts to loose money.

Then stories like : "they sold secretly all the premined coins....." make the round on bitcointalk.

And then comes the claim, that Voxelus should proove that they still have they premine.

A serious company would never try to answers such claims, because then you just start a neverending game with a group of not-so-intelligent people.

We the community have to be watchful and if there are more then 31.5 million on the exchanges combined,
claims for explainations and scam accusations can be made.

From an investors point of view, scam accusations are a bless,
obviously those coins will be undervalued, like The Voxel.

At the moment a marketcap of 20million would be normal, if not undervalued too.

Keep in mind, that there are fudders and haters here to, that are very clever,
they suppress the price of the coin with their spam, in order to buy in....and they are very good at it (im super happy they are here)

VOX all in all a winner !
Probably the dumbest bit of delusional nonsense ive read, this year. Congrats.

Besides, I like my beer from England, my wine from France, my cars from Japan, my tools from Finland and Germany, my handguns from Austria, my rifles from the U.S.A. and my women from all over. If I tried to get this stuff locally, I would be drinking piss, driving a broken down piece of shit that I couldn't fix, blowing my hand off, and fucking a goat.

Try and make the blowing you're hand off, the last thing you do. Ive heard, driving and fucking goats, is a bit tricky with one hand.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains | XBridge | true cross-chain P2P on: May 30, 2017, 10:08:04 AM
Can you make trades while you're offline with blocknet also how does it compare to BitBay who seems to have the best review?

not if you're offline i dont think.

bitbay and this are very different in a lot of ways they are not aimed at the same thing

bitbay is a double deposit escrow for a marketplace for anything. that is not like an atomic decentralised currency exchange.

they are different approaches to different goals.

both are very interesting

We are going to integrate with Bitbay. Decentralised exchange will empower their tech, and add a use-case for ours.
Dave is a good guy too, not to mention a good dev.

Strategy decision of the year, that one^^^.

Well played sir. Cool

20 million yesterday, and 10 million the previous two days before as well. that's nearly half of all existing tethers.

what the hell is going on? where is this money coming from considering their banking is still screwed? is it a taiwan only thing?

have bitfinex/ifinex given up on pretending it's pegged to anything and are just cranking them out?

it's about time this was clarified properly before it does the markets some serious damage.
Dont really see an/your issue. Finex are solvent, trusted, and innovative, and offering a chance for well-backed individuals (or Finex themselves) to park their fiat. Thats what has happened.
Whats the potential 'serious damage' for the markets?
76  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange with USD EUR GBP JPY CAD BTC LTC XRP NMC XDG STR ETH on: May 28, 2017, 12:10:06 PM
Hello,

This morning, market orders are not working; limit orders are okay. Does anyone have the same issue ?

Regards
Yesterday i had market orders, and limit orders that did not execute. I couldn't actually get out of  a trade going against me. Eventually, i found that closing multiple 0.2BTC trades worked! Ridiculous, and it baffles me how long Kraken have managed to get away with this bullshit for so long.
Also dont know how Dargo keeps a straight face when he types.

If you are married, there is a transferable capital gains tax allowance. So if your wife doesn't book any capital gains, that's £22k tax free.
It's one of the only tax benefits of being married.
There are other benefits of course. Just not related to the tax system.

What are the other benefits??

Thanks.

Rjclarke2000= married man.

Not going to get into that whole discussion here. Hopefully if you're happily married and have been together for a while you have figured it out for yourself.

Arrr. Youre talking about ladies-and-gentlemen. I highly recommend doing ladies-and-gentlemen, whilst high on gentlemen. Experience it while you can, cos the opportunity only comes around once in a while.
