601  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free Bitcoin.in on: January 04, 2024, 07:31:59 PM
you're talking about free rolls where you can win prize like satoshi, lottery ticket and so on?
well these are statistically based so you can just hope to hit a bargain win (mostly I have achieved 5K satoshi Roll Eyes ).
Of course the same applies also with dice-multiplier but there you can also lost your bid...
In both case you can "verify" your roll.

e se... a collassare non fosse tanto il denaro FIAT ma "l'ente" che li emette?
Un po come descritto nel topic "la fine dello stato"... la moneta FIAT esiste, ma chi può cerca di farsi pagare in crypto/bitcoin...
Suggerisco la lettura "Anatomy of the State" di Rothbard .
Argomenti descritti in maniera molto schietta, ma fanno capire benissimo come funzionano le nostre democrazie occidentali.
603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the perception of people about gamblers in your neighborhood? on: January 04, 2024, 07:14:58 AM
Gamblers were seen as irresponsible people in my town few years ago. Parents usually warn their children never to indulge in gambling or associate with people who gamble. However, a lot has changed recently as gambling has become one of the biggest business here. As a result of that, societal perception has also improved as many testimonies of life-changing wins from gambling has emerged.

I don't know if this is only happening in my area or is a general trend, hence the reason I created this post. Let's know what people think about gamblers and how well the gambling business is faring in your area.

it is absolutely normal probable at any latitude of the world!
simply because the story of a gambler who got ruined makes much more noise and not that of hundreds maybe tons of people who bet as a normal hobby and don't waste their economy in few bets.

if you don't like this "perception" there is a simple trick: don't talk about your hobby to anyone, whether you win or lose Wink and continue to play!
604  Economy / Gambling / Re: TrustDice's x5 wager requirement only applies to the 1st deposit on: January 04, 2024, 06:25:52 AM
it's pretty uncommon as requirement and even topic linked has a "disclaimer" about that (I think most of players have noted that many famous crypto-sportsbook are not listed there)...
We know that industry requires at least 2x as wagering requirement...why there is such limit on TrustDice? and moreover there is a limit minimum odds for each game?
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 03, 2024, 05:47:26 PM
There are gamblers that have a bad plan or no plan at all about their life, they gamble with whatever amount they have rather than what they can afford to lose that won't be a worry to them if lost. There's this thought that am sure almost every gambler that have won a bet before must have had. which is the thought of "had I knew this game was going to win  I would have used bigger amount of money to wager".

A situation where the stake for the bet he won was $1k, the next statement you hear is how wish I knew I would have staked with $5k. The question is, the $5k is it an amount of money that you can be comfortable losing or it's just out of greed that you are not contented with the win amount the $1k gave you.

The fact that you won  using $1k today doesn't give assurance that if you had used higher amount or that your next bet that you probably increased the wager in order to win a bigger amount will play. As gamblers let not focus all attention on the amount that we may by chance of luck win but on what we are to lose should we fail to win the bet, in that way we won't spend on gambling above what we can afford to lose.
Stay in check!

these are a whole series of calculations that any player must keep in mind to avoid finding themselves with budget problems. you must have such numbers, if you have a family or you're living by your own work...

Unfortunately, those who gamble compulsively are unable to limit themselves and this easily leads to the accumulation of serious financial losses...and in a "recurrent" way people try to overcome these financial problems by playing even more and exposing more to economic problems...
606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15 year anniversary of Bitcoin Genesis block 3 Jan 2024 on: January 03, 2024, 05:42:33 PM
with today's flash crash  Shocked it was a great way to celebrate and be able to stack more satoshi Grin

obviously the events are not related to each other, but the approval of the SPOT ETF in conjunction with this anniversary would not be bad Wink but I am a bit skeptic on that ...
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: January 03, 2024, 05:38:18 PM
Hobbies and personal habits must be kept private !!!
you never know how they may be interpreted by other people...no action will be completely good in the eyes of others and everyone will have something to criticize.
obviously no one knows about this hobby of mine Roll Eyes except a group of trusted and old friends.
I don't think it interests others, I don't think it's worth talking to them about it Wink
608  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a 0.02 BTC 1 DAY LOAN on: January 03, 2024, 05:22:30 PM
first of all, you don't have a valid collateral so you can't get a loan. (easy rule here on forum).
more over, community is not stupid so please stop with that non-sense.
you haven't nothing to claim, nothing is sitting and you're just going to waste some random money.
please lock this thread and save precious time!
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in "Enhanced RTP" in some slots? on: January 03, 2024, 10:47:11 AM
I don't think it's a discussion of probably fair but more of a discussion related to statistics and probability.
I don't think the difference between 0.5% and 1% probability can be "perceived" by players, since millions of plays would be needed to be play. In any case we are always talking about a small difference that could be just "random".
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Buying More Tickets To Increase Your chances on: January 02, 2024, 05:37:04 PM
if you want to have a real increase in chances you need to buy "tons" of tickets and spend a considerable amount.
but in the end you would still very far from the real possibility of winning even If you have spent a lot of money!
no, buying more tickets in these lotteries is never a winning idea  Undecided
611  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: [Voting 2023] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 [Topic Discussione in Italiano] on: January 02, 2024, 08:11:19 AM

sarebbe bello avere un altro italico personaggio nella lista dei premiati, giusto per orgoglio nazionale

gira voce, che si voleva spingere la candidatura di un utente italiano come "miss bitcointalk" Roll Eyes Grin
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is better, parlay or teaser bet? on: January 02, 2024, 07:48:53 AM
Statistically speaking parlay bets are significantly more difficult to win and (as always) previous results do not influence future results! So even if you have the chance to win 1 each 10 this not means you can achieve such results.
I would always focus on "single" bets, on exchanges, live. The possibility of defeat is reduced and it is very easy to control the trend of a market.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your New Year's resolution? on: January 02, 2024, 07:43:40 AM
Mine? I will continue to play in the same way as usually. Likewise any another game... simply to spend my time in a fun way.
I'm not aiming for sensational results, I'm happy with 5-10% ROI of what I deposited.
I would be able to perform better than many "indexes" or investments (no obviously bitcoin is always another level Wink )
614  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: BITCOIN PUMP! on: January 02, 2024, 07:29:53 AM

615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health concern on: January 02, 2024, 06:55:06 AM
what happened to your friend is not something common and he probably would have had a heart attack in another case too.
gambling can generate many emotions but in any case it is really rare having an hearth attack!...

At this point, of course, now he should be monitored at least 1 time per year and quit any kind of alcohol, smoking etc...

What to do in such cases?
in these cases you simply need to go to the emergency room and ask for a consultation with a cardiologist (no ordinary doctors!)

618  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Mempool svuotato dopo 6 mesi, riflessioni on: January 01, 2024, 06:54:00 AM
...
quando prevedi succeda?
...
