601  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good day for arbitraging on: October 18, 2018, 07:15:16 PM
Honestly i tried out Arbitraging a few months back but i found out that it's not quite profitable these days for the following Factors

  • TRADING BOTS
Too many trading bots in play have made it quite hard to catch those coin price gaps between different exchanges. The coin price gap will be long gone even before the transaction is confirmed

  • VOLATILE COIN PRICE
Successful crypto arbitrage requires when the price of a coin is not so volatile but in the case of coins like Bitcoin, the price can change by $50 in matter of minutes. You may end up buying it thinking you have bought low, you try to transfer it to another exchange only for the price to drop there too within minutes before even the transaction is confirmed.

  • SLOW TRANSACTION CONFIRMATION
This is the case especially for Bitcoin, You have to wait for more than about 20 to 30 minutes of which the price or coin market gap will have be long filled up.

  • WALLET MAINTENANCE
Some coin market price gaps are just due to the different wallet maintenance schedules in different exchanges. You buy a coin and try to transfer it to another exchange so as to sell high only to realize that the other exchange's wallet is under maintenance and they do not accept a deposit of that coin

  • DECEPTIVE MARKET PRICE ON DIFFERENT EXCHANGES
This is common with altcoins since some have low trade volumes, for example the sell price you may see in the exchange you want to transfer your coins to and sell may not be reflected well in the order-book. It could just be a small sale volume which was made at a very high price yet in the order-book the next bid order is either at the same price range as the price with which you bought the coin or even slightly lower implying will just make a loss if you dare to transfer the coins and sell them.
Those are the few shortcomings that i experienced and i thought i could share with you.[/list]

I agree with this. It is nearly impossible to do arbitraging due the reasons mentioned above. I would like add another reason. Different trading fees and different deposit/withdrawal fees also make it difficult to do arbitraging.
There could be rare opportunities if you choose a centralized exchange and a DEX as there is less room for bots to identify arbitrage opportunities in DEXs.

Sometimes it is worth to do if we have better capital, the profits can't be made if we arbitrage with few thousands of USD maybe it will be profitable if we trade few bitcoins but not always. For example coinbase is one of the place we can buy bitcoins at good price and go to some exchange with much lesser transaction speed and fast withdrawal approvals.
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling Versus Traditional Gambling on: October 18, 2018, 03:56:56 PM
Traditional gambling does have a lot of crowds in it, there are many types of traditional gambling and not just casinos, because any type in real life can be performed at traditional gambling and it will gradually be negatively affected by local security parties if gambling is prohibited in that country . It's very different from online gambling that we can do with just one click and we can gamble calmly wherever we are.
My father is a victim of traditional gambling, you're right not only casino for traditional gambling but in some hidden places also, and it's do by my father in a hidden place with his friends. you're right that traditional gambling is very vulnerable to being called a criminal act and my father was caught by the police because of playing gambling
In some countries some form of games and betting were prohibited so if people caught in that act they will be considered as crimes so we don't have to blame the gamling for that its our fault that we did the wrong thing which is not accepted by our government.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto capable of making the world go digital? on: October 18, 2018, 01:48:12 PM
This is very possible. The Blockchain technology is a revolutionary one with a lot of significance. As the people become more familiar with it, the adoption and utilization of the Blockchain and cryptocurrency will increase which will gradually lead the world to cashless.
In fiat money system too most of time the payment were being cashless so it is not the aim of the crypto currencies I think but yes it also capable of making the world cashless. The reason why crypto currencies were found in decentralization on money system because the current fiat system is centralized and control by some governments.
604  Economy / Economics / Re: What if there is a natural disaster, such as an earthquake? on: October 18, 2018, 07:34:43 AM
Definitely it wil affect the crypto currency prices too because people will not use it so the demand and supply will get collapse which may leads to price fall and also in some other case if there is no internet all around the world the prices will be as it is until the market gets recovered.
605  Economy / Economics / Re: Is technical analysis negatively affecting cryptocurrencies? on: October 18, 2018, 04:26:39 AM
If people stop doing technical analysis then this strategy will no more as you said but we don't have any method to predict the prices of the crypto currencies so people comparing it with the old patterns and it also act same like that some times and the average growth of the cryptos are also following their path so it has negative effect in short term but in long term investment it can be really helpful.
606  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Setting Up For A Bull Run? on: October 16, 2018, 05:55:28 PM
Experts claim Bitcoin could be on the verge of a bull run. Read why they think the market will begin growing exponentially and when is expected to happen so you can prepare your portfolio: https://cryptocoin.news/news/is-bitcoin-setting-up-for-a-bull-run-20800/

Do you think this will happen in 2019?
Who are those experts because I belie there is no experts in bitcoin prediction so there is no need for someone' prediction will come true and even the price increases in yesterday was not much for to be considered as bull run start up because already the price were down to the level where it was before.
607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we stop Bitcoin's negative publicity?-Rebranding. on: October 16, 2018, 04:09:44 PM
we need to educate what is bitcoin if we want to help the crypto community because most of the people think that bitcoin is only for money making in short term so they were convincing others also do the same those kind of people don't care about centralized or decentralized that is how people understand that,so we need to educate why we need to adopt to the decentralized money.
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Acceptance. on: October 16, 2018, 12:25:22 PM
The fact is that bitcoin can't be regulated only the exchanges can be regulated and the bitcoin transactions can be monitored but if that is world wide accepted it will not be possible so bitcoin acceptance is the real matter which is irresepective of regulation na d this is to make tax for the governments only.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Choosing a Bounty Campaign? on: October 16, 2018, 08:54:04 AM
You need to choose the good project if you want to make money because by joining on scam or worthless project you won't make anything by wasting your valuable time so you need to pick the best campaign for good incomes and also the bounty manager's reputation if someone is reputed one he will do enough research about advertising them so chance of scam is minimized.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the most promising cryptocurrencies? on: October 16, 2018, 06:55:12 AM
Nothing is perfect here so most promising on our opinion based reply and obviously bitcoin will be the most promising crypto currency and there were lot of other coins like Monero,Litecoin,EOS,NEM and TRON maybe Siacoin there are my other picks if I want to invest on the longer term.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you invest in a new crypto? on: October 15, 2018, 06:42:35 PM
There are lot of projects were claiming that they will be better than bitcoin but in my opinion it won't be anything better than bitcoin so investing on bitcoin only a good choice if you are a long term investor and keep holding your bitcoin at the hard days to get the maximum profits.
612  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Africa be a good place for crypto? on: October 15, 2018, 06:02:27 PM
There is no need to have a master degree for using the crypto currencies so the educational level is not important for any country to adopt the crypto currency.Only thing is where people ready to accept the decentralization and much have internet connection.
613  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What kind of growth would last? Quick growth or slow and steady growth? on: October 15, 2018, 05:07:12 PM
~ snip ~

Yeah, you are right supply is also low because of the low mining. Miners are not making good profit because there is no big demand for bitcoin. If the price drop little bit more, miners will stop mining because it is better to stop than deficits. Price is almost stable and there is no big activity in the market. I guess that this situation will last till the end of the year.

I doubt that miners will simply stop just because the price is below their profitability. Where do you think those miners go? Go mine altcoins or Bitcoin Cash (BCH)? I don't think so. They can still make a lot of profits from mining bitcoin simply because they can just hold and wait for the next bull run. We might not see a break out this year, but definitely a reversal will eventually happen and there will be more demand in the future.
If some of the miners stop mining means then the remaining miners will continue to work because now they have more chance of making money since they have low competition level there. So definitely miners won't fade away unless the prices fell too much which is not worth to sell.
614  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how traders keep their crypto? on: October 15, 2018, 01:54:13 PM
how you guys keep your crypto when do trading?

leave it in exchange wallet? Isn't it too risky?
Store in a hot or cold personal wallet? isn't it too annoying to transmit every time?
Depends on what kind of trading you are doing,if you are an active trader then you should keep it in the exchange to make money or it will be extra expensive and time waste while transacting the coins.Leaving in our wallet in exchange is too riky but if you want money you have to or better hold or move to long term trading.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Creating New Coin or Invest in ICO on: October 15, 2018, 07:11:20 AM
Making money from newly created coins is your intention then don't do it because already we have lot of project with these kinds and failed to even reach the cap values so if you want to make profits just do invest on the ICOs or already existing coins don't make fun with new technology for money making.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make successful airdrop? on: October 14, 2018, 12:21:10 PM
Hello

So interested - what are the criteria for a good airdrop?
Value + good project? Or much more details?
Obviously your project needs to be good and unique if your airdrop have to be successful and if your project is in ICO period then chance of success is merely low because nowadays lot of airdropped tokens were just worthless so people won't get much effort for doing that airdrop tasks. You maybe need bounty campaigns which includes multiple campaigns which can get more exposure to project and also the manager is important thing when it comes to bounty campaigns.
617  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dangers of a HODL’er: on: October 14, 2018, 08:47:06 AM
Don't worry about the daily price fluctuation is the thing everyone have to remember if they are holder because they trusted this investment for longer term so they need to be patient if they want to make profits and also the prices can be manipulated in the crypto currencies so you don't have to take much into consideration about the FUDs as well.
618  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US/China restrictions for ICO. What does it mean? on: October 14, 2018, 06:31:27 AM
If someone have 5000 ETHs then it will be surely bought from any of the exchanges and the IRS will track all the purchases from any exchanges in that country so if he doesn't give proper taxes to his investment and earnings or he is doing any restricted thing by that government will be probably get in to their eyes.

If you are from that project then why you want the investor from the country where these kind of action was banned?
619  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin/Coin Safety on: October 13, 2018, 04:14:26 PM
What is the best cold storage for Bitcoin and other crypto assets?
As other have mentioned that hardware wallet or the paper wallet is the best to store the bitcoin for longer term but you need to know the usage of these kind of wallets, you only have the access to this wallets and for access you need those private keys if you forgot those means your bitcoin will be stay forever so you need to keep your private keys safely if you want to store your bitcoin for longer period.
620  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MyBitcoin 2011 - research/investigation on: October 13, 2018, 02:02:34 PM

what kind of wallet you have used to store you bitcoins and how much bitcoins have been hacked?

As far as I know it is impossible to hack the bitcoin from blockchain network so it might be possible only breaching your wallet by some methods like stealing your private keys or phishing if other kind of wallets.
