A lot of nice items in there. And that crate 40 is more and more enticing...!
602  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [360GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: April 07, 2012, 05:25:11 PM
Right but it's the internet where you always lose, so by posting, deathandtaxes automatically lost even if he is right.

Dear Panda Mouse if you aren't happy with reality send your whine to god. Meanwhile stop spreading FUD.

Hao? Last I checked, if you were right then... well... you're right.
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PSA : Final Litecoin LTC GPU miner released !!! on: April 07, 2012, 08:02:56 AM
I've tried just about everything and I've gotten errors compiling, decided to work just via cpu mining and then I get errors saying the config file (which I specified) was not found. >___> Someone needs to come up with a start to finish tutorial. I've been able to get every single other miner to work with a little work, but this one is just a tough nut to crack.
604  Economy / Goods / Re: (1) FREE $500 Amazon Code giveaway. Make a comment in this thread. on: April 07, 2012, 06:04:23 AM
I know a lot has been said about newdude; all I know is that I bought a code from him about 2 weeks ago & everything went perfectly smooth.

Thanks man.
No way! You bought from me and no problems so far? This cannot be true! You mean I didnt run away with your funds?

Hahaha, this made me lol. You seem like a trustworthy guy... but I would trust you much more if I won that $500. Wink
605  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] TF2 #40 Box - 6.5 BTC on: April 07, 2012, 04:39:30 AM
I am willing to dance with any offers, just be fair you know?

My first post came off a bit more "dick-like" than intended. I apologize for that. The price is actually not very far off the value, and with the rarity, it will only go up.
606  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] TF2 #40 Box - 6.5 BTC on: April 06, 2012, 10:11:00 PM
Crate 40 has the strange: Holiday Punch, Huntsman, Widowmaker, Mantreads or Electro Sapper. Since the crate is pretty rare, the contents are worth quite a large number of keys.
607  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] TF2 #40 Box - 6.5 BTC on: April 06, 2012, 04:48:04 PM
12 keys =/= 6.5 btc.  Shocked
608  Economy / Goods / Re: College Books for Sale!!! on: April 05, 2012, 04:13:41 AM
You can always shoot me an offer. I don't need these anymore, and they don't earn me money by sitting at my house, so I might as well recoup some of the money I paid.
609  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [360GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: April 05, 2012, 02:44:37 AM
Is it possible to automatically remove that machine with old software from the network?

I see that is a substantial problem.

There is no problem.  Nothing is lost.

They are ALREADY excluded.

Any node which is running old incompatible software will have their SHARES rejected by p2pool network.  p2pool can't stop them from producing invalid blocks but they don't get credit for GOOD blocks either.

This is why you see the node & hashrate graph has declined.  Those excluded miners are no longer worker towards p2pool.

Now sometimes they will produce a block but it will be overwritten and they will never get paid.  Since they aren't getting paid for good blocks, and they aren't getting paid for their bad blocks their revenue will be 0.00.

Another way to look at it is the bad miners are on a seperate fork.   WE (good p2pool miners) produce blocks and only split the rewards among good miners.   The bad miners can only get payouts from bad blocks but those blocks will always be orphaned so they will never get paid.

TL/DR
The bad miners and bad blocks don't affect you payout a single bit cent.
No matter how many bad blocks the idiots produce they will never provide you any revenue.
No matter how many idiots/bad miners there are they will never get any revenue from good blocks.
There is no problem.  Nothing is lost.
Miners producing bad blocks are already excluded from payments on good blocks.

Thank you for the clarification.
610  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [360GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: April 03, 2012, 12:16:22 PM
I have big problem now, after install AMD 12.3 for windows, all looks ok but in run_p2pool.exe (0.10.3) shares are still 0, efficiency Huh.

What is the problem? Driver?

Thanks in advance Panda Mouse.

Everytime you close and reopen p2pool.exe, the share count resets. That doesn't mean you have 0 shares in the chain, just 0 shares logged with that running version of p2pool. Once you get shares, your efficiency will be calculated again.

615  Economy / Goods / College Books for Sale!!! on: March 31, 2012, 10:56:34 PM
Up for sale are a few books that I no longer need. All books have been used but are still in fantastic shape. Save yourself the money and buy used!

First book for sale is: Biochemistry by Campbell and Farrell: Sixth Edition - $15+shipping

http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn119/ChanceCoats123/033112174458.jpg

Second book is: Fundamentals of Anatomy & Physiology by Martini, Nath and Batholomew: Ninth Edition $100+shipping

http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn119/ChanceCoats123/033112174639.jpg

Third book is: Modern Database Management by Hoffer, Ramesh and Topi: Tenth Edition $80+shipping

http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn119/ChanceCoats123/033112174607.jpg

Final book is: Resources of the Earth; Origin, use and Environmental Impact by Craig, Vaughan and Skinner: Third Edition $1+shipping

http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn119/ChanceCoats123/033112174544.jpg

If you do any research, you'll find these should be pretty good prices for the books. All prices are below the used prices for the same books on Amazon.com, so this at the very least is competitive there. I accept USD via paypal or the equivalent in BTC (price will be good for a half hour of quote from me). Shipping will basically be $10 as the books will be shipped in a medium flatrate box via USPS with enough padding to keep them safe. I SHIP US ONLY. I've got heatware under this username and have made a few transactions on here as well.
616  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Gold & Silver Coins on: March 30, 2012, 01:39:31 PM
No offense, but using coinabul as a competitor for pricing is not the most accurate. I checked their prices last night and even their bullion was 20-30 percent over spot. That number should be at or below 5%. I can only imagine how far off their coin prices are...
617  Economy / Goods / Re: Zippo Lighters on: March 30, 2012, 05:22:59 AM
Let me get this straight... We can choose AND windproof and it only cost at most 5 BTC?
618  Economy / Goods / Re: CANDY for your BITCOINS on: March 29, 2012, 08:17:07 PM
Holy fucking shit... this thread is going to drive me to BTC bankruptcy...! He's got lemon heads!
619  Economy / Goods / Re: $$ONLY FOR THE BTC RICH$$ on: March 28, 2012, 04:01:19 PM
This really needs to be a multiple option poll...

I was on the fence between gold and other... I chose other because I do look for items other than gold. I look for small collectibles (Pokemon cards typically), steam items (so games) as well as computer hardware. I would really like to see a lot more small gold available at near cost. I feel like there would be a huge market for 1/25 oz. coins and similar .9999% gold items on this forum. Those coins are prized as such that you don't have to be a BTC mogul to purchase them. And it's a nice investment of your BTC.
620  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [340GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: March 26, 2012, 10:46:30 PM
Am I the only one who doesn't understand why people join other's nodes instead of creating their own? If you can point your miner successfully at someone else's node, then you have the skills necessary to run your own. No drama should come from this. P2pool is fee free...if you use your own node. If you want to pay 0 fees then run your own got dang node...!
