601  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going slowly to 40,000$ and more on: August 14, 2017, 12:44:44 PM
Even though I must say this price rise awoke the craziest price speculation, it actually made me confident we could see 50 000$ per bitcoin by 2020, because of the halving.
I'm pretty doubt about that, the halving just decreasing the reward those miners should've received, the supply of bitcoin already been determined since the starts by satoshi himself.
But there's still a big chance for that to happen, im not going to be pesimistic about that after seeing what happened to bitcoin before august and after august.

My theory is that the high price of bitcoin is because of mass adoption.
And my theory says as well, that this has just started. Maybe 50K in 2020 is really possible!
There are so many people out there who have no understanding what bitcoin is and how easy it is to hold a few satoshis.
Convincing just a fraction of them and we hit the 50K in no time.
602  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: August 14, 2017, 12:39:04 PM
I would say bitcoin can be compared to an international stock market for small investments!
You do not need much money to buy a few satoshis.
You do not have to qualify anywhere to do that, and you need no banker or lawyer to do it for you.
That means that really everybody in the whole world can do it.
An I think that is it what triggered this price explosion: the big mass of small investments!
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - % on risk to put on credit card... on: August 14, 2017, 12:28:45 PM
I would strongly advise against buying bitcoin with money you have to borrow first.
Nobody here can give you a risk ranking based on facts.
The main reason is that there are nearly no hard numbers on bitcoin.
Nobody knows how many users bitcoin has. Nobody know how bitcoin is spread, or how many whales there are left.
Even the mempool is most likely conterminated with 90% spam from time to time.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum eventually become an internet money? on: August 14, 2017, 08:35:33 AM
I can imagine that it might come to that.
Maybe some symbiotic relationship between those two currencies will occure.
Bitcoin could be the form of investment while Ethereum is becoming more and more the payment form due to its lower transaction fees.

605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: August 14, 2017, 08:31:51 AM
It always depends what you want to do.
Gold price is kind of stable, while bitcoin price is volatile (mostly goes up).
Gold has survived many crises. Bitcoin still needs to proof that it can do that.
Bitcoin can be transfered easily. On the other hand, it's hard to steal a ton of gold.
606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: August 14, 2017, 08:24:02 AM
Evereybody is trying to make as much money as he can.
Miners as well. When the people are willing to pay the high prices, I can't plame the miners if they take it.
Besides, not only the fees have increased, the price of bitcoin as well..
Let's see what happens when segwit kicks in next week.
607  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHY BTC PRICE KEEPS INCREASING on: August 14, 2017, 08:20:28 AM
The price is increasing because the price is increasing.
Nobody is selling anymore, while more and more people are attracted to bitcoin.
Some call it a bubble, some natural growth.
What exactly we are dealing with right now, only time will tell.
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HBO is trying to get $250,000 in bitcoin to pay hackers who stole GoT scripts on: August 12, 2017, 05:08:30 PM
I think that this says more about the security standards of HBO than it tells about bitcon.
The company should be able to keep its scripts save until broadcasting.
If the thieves would not take a cryptocurrency as ransom, they would most likely put the scripts online somewhere and earn from the ads.
609  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whale pump or newbie ignorance? on: August 12, 2017, 03:06:16 PM
When a newbie buys bitcoin just for a small amount, I would not call that ignorant.
It's testing how bitcoin works and wether somebody likes it or not.
If enough newbies do that and the people who already have coins do not sell, that would lead to a increas of price we see right now.
Whales do not have to be involved.
This can be a solid growth!
610  Economy / Speculation / Re: So where exactly are we in the bubble? on: August 12, 2017, 02:02:21 PM
I know y'all have seen this diagram before, and with BTC just crossing $3,800 as I type, where do you think we are in the bubble?
Aw man so cuz I'm a noob it won't post the image... Oh well. Its basically that "main stages of a bubble" chart. Which crypto most definitely is in. But are we just beginning the true ascent, or have we reached the peak? Thoughts?

Bubble is created when commodity is overvalued than its actual value. But how could you limit the sky of so-called Bitcoin? You are not the first to ask about bubble phase, this discussion has been here on forum from long when it was $500 or $1k or $2k but see where we are today. What happened to those claiming Bitcoin prices to be bubble in past!
There is still much to go for Bitcoin, whole of its rally depends upon public adoption which is still very-very low. As it will grow its feathers, price will boom and boom.
There is hardly any bubble at the moment.

It's hard to estimate the real value of bitcoin or the pointn when it is overvalued.
But bitcoin with it's features combined with its limited supply, that is worth something!
And when you think about how few people actually use bitcoin, I see still very much potential in it.
Corrections will happen, there is no doubt about that, but personally I think that we are at the beginning of a very long trend!
611  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: August 12, 2017, 01:12:32 PM
One important thing of making money is to have something other people want.
So if you learn to understand how the people think that gives you an advantage. Then you know what they need, what they want.
Through that all you need to do is to find a way how to give the people their desires.
And if you are very smart you develope the ability to know in advance what the people want. Even before the people know it themselves!
That would be the ultimate base for a successful business!
612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will banks start a war against bitcoin on: August 12, 2017, 12:59:46 PM
I do not see that banks are feeling threatened by bitcoin.
A bank needs customers who want a loan. Or they earn money for services they provide, like consulting.
Or they earn money from working with businesses.
But the average bank user who has already some money in his account turns out to be more and more a problem for the bank.
If he puts his money elsewhere, the bank has no problem with that.
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree that Bitcoin is nearly to be just like another business? on: August 11, 2017, 07:25:40 PM
Well, to me bitcoin is not really like a business.
There is no real leadership, and the decision making process just takes too long. A business could not work that way.
To me bitcoin is like a complete economical ecosystem. A combination of bigger and smaller businesses.
And bitcoin is the glue that keeps those companies together.
614  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin for all levels of society, without any difference on: August 11, 2017, 08:25:30 AM
Bitcoin is decentralized so that whoever you are from wherever you are rich or poor, you are free to use bitcoin for any purpose. Bitcoin is freely used for anyone. anywhere

What is your response with this opinion?
Its true but for it to become practical, some basic essentials should be satisfied.Bitcoin users should be able to have a laptop or pc and i think its hard for very poor people to satisfy this requirement.next, access to internet which could not be expected to be available in all parts of the world in today's situation as under developed countries don't have good internet facilities.Unless these requirements are met, bitcoin could not be expected to be used by people of all levels of society.

Yes! Come to think of it, even if Bitcoin is open to everyone and available for use to all classes in society, those belonging in the lower classes do not have the resources to access Bitcoin.

Just imagine, you need to have internet and a device such as a laptop/computer or cellphone for you to gain access to Bitcoin. Of course those from the lower class do not have the luxury to have these things. Also, there are other expenses such as having to pay for transaction fees and the like.

To be frank with it, Bitcoin is available to everyone and to all levels of society but sadly not everyone have the means to.

It's depending where people live.
In industry nations everyone has a computer or a smartphone.
I think that is the reason why those who already have enough will profit most from bitcoin.
For countries and populations not so much developed, I suppose it will take some time.
But it will reach them as well, of that I am sure!
615  Economy / Speculation / Re: $25,000 to $50,000 prediciton in CNBC on: August 11, 2017, 08:20:55 AM
I think that exactly this kind of reporting is the reason why bitcoin price will reach the mentioned levels.
The more people hear about it, the harder they believe that bitcoin will grow to 25K.
They think it's cheap under that level, so they buy. I'm really looking farward to see wher this will bring us!
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: August 11, 2017, 07:08:16 AM
Everyone would want to get rich moreover me a lot of short of money if true bitcoin can make rich i will focus on bitcointalk. Grin

Yes, everyone have a desire to get rich, and bitcoin is seriously short way to make rich.
But it is not enough just you are focus only on bitcointalk.
Better to start altcoin trading, and gambling. I know mostly people disagree with gambling point of view, but in fact gambling is also shortest way to earn money. And trading is best way to make money.
Well, but trading also requires enough skill in order to gain profit. Well, maybe that would be an easy way to get rich. But each trading has a high enough risk. But, if you are proficient, it will be easy.

in my point of view that is very good choice to focus on bitcointalk at beginning to found more knowledge on trading because if you still don't have a skill for trading this forum bitcointalk.org is very proper place to gain your skill of trading. you should go to trading discussions  section and take a much knowledge as you can.

after get enough knowledge you can brave your self to start trading, i am totally agree that trading is very risky so needs preparation before decided to start.

Trading is for many people some very profitable way to earn money.
Gather informations, see the signs of the market, don't rush things.
And always keep an eye on the legal situation in your country.
Sometimes you do very good tradings, but the taxes eat you up after all.
617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: August 08, 2017, 11:28:55 AM
The bitcoin community would split up in two fractions: those who accept the ban, and those who would simply ignore it.
Many of those who would submit to the ban would sell their coins, what would lead to a decrease of price.
That opportunit would be used by those who still use bitcoin.
In general, I would say that the price would suffer, but bitcoin would not become worthless.
618  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reached 3.2K!! on: August 08, 2017, 09:06:38 AM
What exactly happens on August 8th?
Segwit will lock in at abot 21st from all I know.
The only thing I have heared abou the 8th is that BCC might be greenlighted for trading.
Is that the thing that should create panic?
619  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just going to $100,000 now? on: August 08, 2017, 08:56:48 AM
I do not think either that we will see such a high price for bitcoin ever.
That would mean to find millions of people, all ready to invest a portion of their money.
Sorry, but I simply can not imagine that.
620  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does the current ATH price reflect Segwit? on: August 06, 2017, 06:19:18 PM
I suppose the real rally will start after segwit has kicked in.
Transaction will go faster and be much cheaper.
So lower amounts can be transfered again.
And I think that this openes the door for many people who simply can not afford the high fees we see sometimes at the moment.
The amounts they send in one transaction might be low, but all of them combined, I think we will face a huge increase of demand for bitcoins.
