6041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is the new Gold it will be worth... on: November 15, 2017, 07:58:13 PM
Well, gold is a currency, Bitcoin is not.  So Bitcoin can't be the new Gold yet.  Not until we determine that the bitcoin is a currency.  So at the moment, no gold is not what Bitcoin is and it can't be the next gold until we make it a currency.
Bitcoin is considered as a form of digital currency. If we define currency, we can say that currency is a form of money which can be used for buying or selling goods. We can use bitcoin to buy online and even some stores also accept bitcoin. So we can consider bitcoin a currency.
6042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 is crazy for bitcoin on: November 15, 2017, 07:48:27 PM
I think Absolutely you are right. Every people can see that. Bitcoin will be global currency in the world or be as Euro that use a specific area. We are lucky because we are into this market and are in this future.
It won't be able to be a global currency anytime soon as long as the current issues are not solved. You just saw what happened after segwit2x fork was canceled and most of the miners who supported 2x temporarily moved to bitcoin cash, which caused bitcoin to lose its hash rate. The fee went up 10 times and confirmation took ages. This kind of issues should be solved first.
6043  Economy / Economics / Re: Regulating Bitcoin on: November 15, 2017, 07:45:23 PM
If crypto currencies, or at least bitcoin gets regulated, it won't have the current value it has now. It will be losing one of its most important and key feature "decentralization". People use bitcoin because they have full control over their funds. But if the government starts to regulate bitcoin, people will start to lose their freedom over their funds.
6044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing on ICOS is good or bad ? on: November 11, 2017, 11:49:04 AM
Please give your ideas according to your experience.
Most ICOs are just scam, where they collect users money and run away. They don't even have a working prototype/platform. Most of the tokens are also using for pumping and dumping - which ends up dying. Only few legit ICO pops up once in a while. Look for ICO where there are well known developers and looks promising.
6045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion on Bitcoin Cash? Scam, bubble? on: November 11, 2017, 11:43:17 AM
I think Bitcoin cash is a shitcoin that is using bitcoin's name to make it rise further. I think the rise is just a trap, do not buy into the trap. I
already sold all my Bcash for BTC because Bcash is trying to undermine bitcoin.
It's just an altcoin taking advantage of bitcoin, who keeps on dreaming to take over bitcoin very soon which won't be happening anytime. The price is also just a bubble which will shatter(burst) like its dream.
The ICO of BitcoinCash was successful thats why the price is getting doubled time by time, the miners are adopting BCH from BTC.
Lol. There was no ICO for BitcoinCash. It was created from a fork. Use google before you type shits about the things you don't know.
6046  Economy / Economics / Re: Legalizing Bitcoin on: November 11, 2017, 11:36:46 AM
So in the most countries, bitcoin is neither declared legal or illegal. In some it is declared illegal and some are actually allowing it and also promoting their own alts.
So what would a government needs to do to regulate bitcoin in the country? And how can a government actually benefit from legalizing bitcoin in the country? How can it actually support the economic system of the country.
Only few countries (less than 5 countries) have called out bitcoin to be illegal. Rest of the countries allow its people to use bitcoin without causing much trouble.
If government starts regulating bitcoin, then it won't have its current value anymore. It loses one of its key features - decentralization. The government will take over bitcoin  if it starts regulating it.
The economic system won't be effected much due to bitcoin.
6047  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: November 11, 2017, 11:15:19 AM
Well, there are few wallets about bitcoin. Coinbase one of them. I am using Coinbase wallet because of for me it's easy to use and also i like this wallet feature.
To be honest, coinbase is not the best to use. They have the worst customer support. You don't have control over your funds since you do not control your private keys. They can deny access to your funds anytime they want. You are better off using wallets developed by the developers of that specific coin.
6048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need some gambling strategies on: November 10, 2017, 08:15:08 PM
My prefered gambling sites are dice and video poker (for Texas Hold'em, I have own strategies  Grin )
Maybe you have some nice strategies against boring with little maths.
There is no such things as strategy in gambling. Your outcomes are based on pure luck with no skills involved ( i am talking about dice). Using strategy will just make you feel better (gamblers fallacy) but the result will always be the same when you apply no strategy.
6049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any advice for a newbie? on: November 10, 2017, 08:11:15 PM
Hi guys,

Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me  Undecided

I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i  am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.

Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc???

Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins.

cheers
You are doing good by spreading out your investment on different alt coins. This way you can minimize your loss and less risky. Make sure you do your own research about the coins before you invest. There are tons of alt coins which are not legit  and used for pumping and dumping scheme.
6050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Weird theory I heard of.. on: November 10, 2017, 08:08:20 PM
Would say it is just a weird coincidence. Right now we are seeing bitcoins price crash due to cancellation of Segwit2x. Many investors investment on bitcoin with the hope of getting free money, but ended up dumping thier bitcoins once they heard the fork was cancelled causing the price to drop. The investors ended up moving to other alt coins including bitcoin which explains the rise and fall of the crypto prices.
6051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what makes you trust a new altcoin? on: November 10, 2017, 08:05:55 PM
Most shit alt coins have anonymous developers (who are mostly 16/18 years old kids) who hides their identity. They make coins which are completely identical to the current successful coins with no contributions at all.
If the new alt coin has active developers who are not afraid to reveal themselves, and has a active community, I would say those coins are trust-able.
6052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC really anonymous? on: November 10, 2017, 07:58:23 PM
Yes, BTC is really anonymous. They can know your wallet address, but they can't know who owns it. You are still safe.
Not really. You seem to know less about bitcoin. It is actually pseudonymous. Your transactions can be linked back to you and all wallets you own. Just google "pseudonymous bitcoin" and you will get to know what it means.
6053  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy BTC at 6500 or wait to go lower? on: November 10, 2017, 07:56:30 PM
Should I buy BTC on 6500, or wait to possibly go even lower?
We can expect the price to dip to a max of $6,200 USD. You better start investing now. Just invest a portion of your investment now and keep investing as long as the price keeps on dropping. Once it starts to get back up, stop investing and hold on for a time until you reach your profit threshold level - sell it.
6054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: November 10, 2017, 07:51:35 PM
but we don't know for sure if segwit2x is happening or not, futures are in an uptrend again +80% in the last 24 hours so i really don't know what is going to happen,i am sure there will be another big pump in bitcoin in the next couple of days, prior to the 16 november..

today i sold my BCC at 0,129BTC, hope was the right timing but in the end it was sure a profit considering the price i entered

i think both will survive (or better, i hope :-) )
Segwit2x won't be happening on 16th November. It has been suspended and canceled. People who invested on bitcoin, with the hope of getting "free segwit2xbitcoin" are now dumping their bitcoins and moving to alt coins, which explains the price crash of bitcoin and rise in alt coins.
6055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people attract for the BitCoin than other crypto currency? on: November 09, 2017, 07:59:37 PM
Please give your opinions.
Bitcoins has its own edge of being the first crypto currency to be made. Most of the other alt coins are just a clone copy of bitcoin without adding any kind of new feature and is just crappy enough to be used for just pumping and dumping. They don't even have active developers or a community like bitcoin has.
6056  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why you should buy Bitcoin now. on: November 09, 2017, 07:56:12 PM
I have been following bitcoin price's actions since August last year and one thing that is common is that price pattern do repeat itself. Event that happens in July to August this year is about to repeat itself again. I have been going through a lot of speculations threads and many of them are saying that bitcoin is going to clash after splitting but I disagree with that and for your information another pump is about to happen and this is going to push bitcoin price above  $8,000. I have also see that this may happen before end of this year.
I guess history hasn't repeated itself this time and the event you "predicted" which is going to happen hasn't happened. This is why we should be less dependent on prediction when investing on crypto currencies. You never know what is going to happen and when.
And its never late to buy bitcoin. Each and every moment is the perfect time to buy bitcoins.
6057  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happend with BTC? BTC is going down under 7000 USD. on: November 09, 2017, 07:53:55 PM
What happend with BTC? BTC is going down under 7000 USD.

segwit 2x cancelled but BTC is going down under 7000 USD.

Almost people thought if segwit 2x cancelled, Price go up to 8000 USD.
But now Price is down.

How do you think about this situation?

I have more than 40 BTC now, And I am losing my money now.
I bought BTC at 7500 USD.....

Hold or not..
Don't panic. Just keep holding. Lot of bitcoin piled up bitcoin, with the hope of enjoying BTC2x coins. But since segwit2x got suspended, those users are now  dumping their extra bitcoin for profit. So price is going down now, which will attract new investors causing the price to go back up to where is was going.
6058  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hold or Sell on: November 09, 2017, 07:51:23 PM
Hodling is the best choice for Bitcoin. But how about altcoins? I think the best way is setting a margn to exit. This will help you don't be greedy.
Alt coins will let you make quick profits. Holding those altcoins is much riskier than holding bitcoins, since they are more volatile and extremely unpredictable than bitcoin. The prices most of the time depends on bitcoin. Best is to do short term trading with alt coins.
6059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China vs BTC? on: November 09, 2017, 07:48:06 PM
they do the same two years ago. its a bluff, in 6 months they will operating normaly. (remember that) Grin
I guess so. Already hearing rumours about China going to unban exchanges and resume trading by licensing exchanges. I am assuming China is just trying to make sure the exchanges are following their strict fiscal laws.
6060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So many clones of BTC. In or not? on: November 09, 2017, 07:41:40 PM
Most of them are just shitty scam coins that tries the replicate the original bitcoin without adding any kind of new contribution. You are better off avoiding those coins because most of those coins are just short living. People usually to make profit pump those coins and once the price goes up starts dumping and then the coin just dies.
