6401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable on: July 07, 2017, 10:03:06 AM
bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable.

currency should be more stable.

you may reply me. currency is not stable also but you should think

USD currency price is up and down 1-2% in 1 month.

bitcoin price is up and down 20% in 1 month.

what will people think if they just change USD to bitcoin then their money down 10% in 10 minutes?

bitcoin can become stock but cannot become currency
It is true that for a coin to be considered as a currency, stability of the value is a must. Bitcoin value is currently unstable and sometimes extremely volatile, but bitcoin is just on its infant state. Wait till people starts to adopt and use bitcoin on daily basis. A time might come where we might a stable price with less fluctuation.
6402  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where would you invest $100? on: July 07, 2017, 09:59:23 AM
Hi.
I've got a hundred USD which I wanna invest in some altcoin. I know this amount is nothing, but since I'm a complete noob at cryptocurrensies, I decided to begin with the small amount. So, I want to try out how everything works, at the same time I want to keep my investment safe and sound. That's why  I'm looking for some underappreciated altcoin with the bright future which will graciously accept my modest investment and bring me it back with some profit Wink
Have you heard anything about this kind of coin?
Before you start investing, do some research. Analyze the coins you are going to invest in. Since you are a newbie, starting with small amount is actually a sensible thing to do. But you don't want to be losing those coins and get demotivated. So better learn before you start.
$100 won't get you much profit. Try investing those on some casinos, while you save more coins to invest?
6403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is digital gold, what will be the digital "dollar"? on: July 06, 2017, 09:57:47 PM
Won't be talking about everything you said. Just few things that got my attention.
Bitcoin is also fairly slow and resource hungry.
You send bitcoin from one wallet to another wallet which is situated on a different part of world, it just takes less than few seconds for the receiver to receive the coins. With just few clicks, nothing could be more simpler. It's only the confirmation that takes time currently which can be avoided by paying higher fee. A solution is about to come soon!

Bitcoin also has a cap at 21MBTC.
No cap = high supply = less value.

Could it be that Bitcoin will become the equivalent of digital gold?
Everyone recognizes gold as very valuable but it's not used for everyday transactions.
Gold is used as a form of storing wealth. Bitcoin is also used by some people to store their wealth, so it can be equivalent to digital gold.
6404  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 06, 2017, 09:47:44 PM
It is never too late. If you believe in bitcoin, you should invest and hold. Do not let your emotions get to you. Seeing all those price fluctuation might tempt you to sell your coins, but do not.
But if you want to stay totally risk free, wait till august 1st and few more weeks. We do not know yet what is going to happen. So better be safe than sorry.
6405  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I want to invest $200K to set up an exchange and I need your help on: July 06, 2017, 08:41:04 PM
@Deathwing

Thanks for your reply. I ve sent BTC, hope they will be with you shortly

6. Why do you think it will not be profitable in the long term?

Did a little bit of googling, you can find you answer here https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-arbitrage/
They explained it well!
Read "Barriers to Bitcoin Arbitrage" if you don't want to read the whole article. They sum up everything really good.
6406  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I want to invest $200K to set up an exchange and I need your help on: July 06, 2017, 08:37:58 PM
1 Poloniex has been here for a long time. Most of them i guess are traders looking to make profit and invest on other alt coins.
2 I use both bittrex and poloniex, but i prefer poloniex over bittrex. Polo has a better looking interface. Use it mainly for trading.
3 A good customer support.
4 Currently there are lots of exchanges, so competition is high. If you think you can offer something better and unique you could try. Else better off investing on something else.
5 Depends on what coin you are mining.
6 You forgot to consider the "FEE" you will be spending which will eat up your profit. And also speed matters. You might end up making loss. A very risky thing to try. You might also not be able to sell at the price shown, since no sell order might be open.

6407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Is Your Worst Moment in Gambling? on: July 06, 2017, 07:05:14 PM
I do have many experiences on losing out on gambling lots of games and different types of it but the most worst for me isnt on sports but on luck based gambling i do experience lose on sports but not too much amount since i do only bet small amounts unlike on playing dice which i do lose huge btc which causes for me to have sleepless nights because those amounts i used are results of my hard days work and lose in an instant.

I think that's because in sports betting you don't have an option to double your bet amount every two seconds, so in a worst case scenario you just lose your initial bet and that's it. I suggest you to deposit on a dice not more than you usually pay with sports betting, and thus you won't be losing big amounts in an instant.

My worst moment is when I'm so unlucky that having Aces full of Kings I lose to a guy with four of a kind.
So doubling your bet, won't it make your gambling more riskier? I know it helps to recover your initial losing bet, but what if you lose your next bet too? You will double it and if you lose again you will have to double it (assuming 50-50% chance). So more riskier than arbitrary betting in my opinion!
6408  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceMax.com || Jackpot || 0.99% House Edge || Instant Withdrawal on: July 06, 2017, 06:53:04 PM
Today I managed to go to 0.00036081  from the 150 sats faucet playing with 9.90% win chance, meaning that I increased my initial bankroll more than 200 times!!!  Cheesy

https://i.imgur.com/FHV4KTf.png

I lost it all eventually but it was fun to play there. I'll be back definitely.  Smiley
That's awesome! imagine if you had good bankroll, you could've made damn good money with same luck. Roll Eyes i claimed the faucet and managed to x20 then bust lol, i had fun too.
i like dicemax, you guys need more advt and promotions to grow.
It was a low amount bet(and probably from faucet), which is why he was able to bet with it without any fear. I don't think anyone would be willing to risk a high bet with just  a 9.90% chance of winning.
Nice hit though.
6409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: July 06, 2017, 06:49:57 PM
The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?
Doge coin was (is?) actually a joke coin where the developers made it just for fun. The coin ended up surviving till today thanks to the active community and the developers.
I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made.
You answered your own question.
6410  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★Crypto-Games.net ★ 9 coins ★ 7 games ★ Since 2014 ★ Largest Crowdfunded Casino on: July 06, 2017, 07:41:57 AM
Yeah that is great deal some how, use only 1000 sat to get 0.03 btc but how an you even get this play money from the start.
You can use the faucet to get some playmoney and gamble with it.

Yeah that is great deal some how, use only 1000 sat to get 0.03 btc but how an you even get this play money from the start. Let say if you have a btc you can directly play with it. But to convert btc to play money, I do not think that it is really wise idea since play money can be used only here? And you can't do anything after you convert it to playmoney
Like we said you can gamble with it and convert your playmoney to bitcoins or other altcoins using the exchange service offered by the casino.
Why don't you try it out?  Wink
6411  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are best sources to learn trading on: July 05, 2017, 09:26:29 PM
Internet is actually the best source to learn! Google will help you find topics. You can watch videos on youtube to learn. There are some youtubers whose channels mainly focus on the crypto market and trading. Maybe subscribe to them?
Another good way to learn is by asking questions. The more you ask the more you learn. Look for threads which discusses about trading and try interacting with them. Ask them questions and they will answer. Smiley
6412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT COIN IS WORTH HOLDING FOR ATLEAST A YEAR FROM NOW? on: July 05, 2017, 08:29:07 PM
I have personally regretted selling my STRATIS at $0.3 cent, even though i was lucky to enter into its ICO and had about 55,000 strat as at then. While i sold all my coins at profit at more than 10x, i would have made about 1,000X should i have hodl, with stratis at a time hitting $10. That would have given me a $550,000 from an investment of about $400.

Having learnt from this experience do you think any already listed coin or upcoing ICO has the potential of replicating such STRATIS success story? If you are to Hodl for atleast a year which coin would you hodl and why?

Thanks
Do your own research. Look for coins with active community and good developers. Search for coins which has higher potential and is reliable. Keep an eye on ANN threads, read what users have to say about the coins (Some might spread FUD, so be careful!). Study the market. You might want to spread your investment on different alt coins, its less riskier.
6413  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Steemit, is it worth it? on: July 02, 2017, 06:07:03 PM
Is anyone here using steemit maybe? I've recently stumbled upon it and as much as I know it's a content sharing place where you can earn some money, yes? Can anyone tell me more about it, is it worth getting into, etc...
In my opinion it is actually worth getting into, especially now. If you like to write and read it is a must for you. You might get frustrated at first first, won't be getting much earnings. But keep doing quality posts and people will start following you. More followers = more potential of making money. And if a whale likes your post, consider yourself lucky Wink
6414  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to do with my bitcoins ? on: July 01, 2017, 08:35:42 AM
Lots of ways to spend your coins.
Bitcoin itself is a form of investment, but you can maximize your profit by investing on other altcoins. But make sure you understand what you are doing. Its a risky business, but the returns you might get is heavenly.
Have you tried gambling with your coins? Its a risk too, but fun (NOT fun if you start losing your coins  Tongue). You can try CRYPTO-GAMES.NET for gambling. They have been here for a while, and long time users get rewarded. Remember, always risk what you can afford to lose.

You can shop online using bitcoins. There are plenty of sites which accepts bitcoin as payments. Few users already linked you to those sites, so i won't be doing it again. Some sites may not accept bitcoin, but if those sites have gift cards that can be used, you will find some third party sites selling those cards for bitcoins. You might also find users selling those cards on this forum. But be aware that those cards might be stolen, so never buy cards from untrusted user.  If you still don't find those cards, there are  ways around. You can get a virtual credit card (VCC) and load your card using bitcoin. It will work on any site which accepts VISA/MASTERCARD. You can try advcash for getting your VCC. You have full control over your card, and you can check your spending history.

6415  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How/Where to Report Stolen Cryptocurrency? on: June 30, 2017, 08:34:38 PM
I've had my money stolen from Poloniex. Contacted poloniex- they said they can't do anything.
At this point I know there's no way to get it back, but I just want to report it somewhere within the legal system.
Can I report it to FBI or the local Police?
Any other places/people to report to?

Try to see if you can somehow trace and track where the coins are going. Maybe try getting the IP address from poloniex (though the thief can still mask his IP)? One information might lead you to another which in turn might help you catch the thief.
You can file a report, but i don't think the authorities might be able to do/help much. But provide them with as much information as you can.

Username: MRJ

It's fun to play (but frustrating if you keep on losing   Tongue) and helps pass your time during leisure hours Smiley

Currently at DiceMax: The interface seems OK and is user friendly, but won't say it's the best. A bit laggy. Would have been better if it was a bit more smooth. The house edge is good and the jackpot system is a great way to reward users.
6417  Economy / Services / Re: Paying 0.003 BTC for 0.001208 BTC on: June 30, 2017, 09:04:10 AM
I think this is for the byteball or Stellar Lumens giveaways. Sending this amount to prove your btc address ownership.
So you are saying that he is doing this to prove others that he owns the address? Well that is suspicious, but I don't think people would be that stupid. They could just ask for a signed message to prove ownership Roll Eyes
6418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Won 0.4 Btc with 0.1 Btc deposit! Finally a deposit which came out xd on: June 30, 2017, 08:04:43 AM
So you choose a platform with a VIP program, but you withdrew directly after winning.

Doesn't a VIP program reward you for playing more? Would make more sense to keep playing in that regard.

Nice win though, congrats.
If he kept playing, he might have lost all he had won. Don't think it would be worth taking the risk since he already got x4 his initial deposit. Took a good decision by withdrawing.  Smiley
6419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Won 0.4 Btc with 0.1 Btc deposit! Finally a deposit which came out xd on: June 30, 2017, 01:42:21 AM
You should try your luck now at crypto-games. They have various games like dice, blackjack, videopoker, plinko, lotto, slots and roulette. They are very trusted and deposits are instant. Dice has jackpot and monthly wagering contest too. They got faucet up to 20k+ sat. You need to  level up to reach those claims. Think of it as a VIP program. Smiley
6420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Will sell 135 700 Dogecoins for the Bitcoins on: June 29, 2017, 09:51:23 PM
I can tell you're a person who'll never admit to making a mistake
And you judge people based on just 1/2 posts?
What mistake are you talking about? Users were never banned for scamming. They were just tagged. This is what i said.
Scammers before being tagged by staff only vs scammers now being tagged by the community. Which one do you think is more efficient way to tag scammers with no chances of being biased?
big avatar-positioned SCAMMER thing vs. what we have today
some negative numbers marked red with a warning which clearly states to trade with extreme caution
If those words "trade with extreme caution" along with some negative red numbers right beside the word "TRUST" which is clickable and shows a list of offence executed by the user does not get your attention and makes you more alert, then you sir deserve to be scammed.
This forum ought to ban scammers like every other reputable forum I know.  Giving excuses as to why it's impractical is silly.  It's not impossible,  it just takes more work.
No one said it's impossible. It does take more work - more USELESS WORK. You ban a scammer, the scammer comes back with a new account or buys another account. Ban him,  he comes back again. He will never stop. Making an account takes less than few minutes. So why waste precious time and resources banning him while you could utilize your time/resource doing something more productive, something more useful. Once again what you are suggesting is not an efficient thing to do. Using the ban hammer is not always the solution.

then you're a fool.
does it bother you to have a fool as your intellectual superior? Think twice before calling someone a fool. It takes one to know one  Roll Eyes

If i were to judge you based on your posts above i would say you think conventionally only.
