6041  Economy / Speculation / Re: the reason why bitcoin falls on: July 15, 2018, 03:31:29 AM
Mostly because of whales and people who got in on december. Whales who sell of their profits make a huge dent. There was also a lot of people back in december who got in whether they had thousands of dollars or couple bucks, everyone was trying to make a quick profit from it.

Now that those people are gone , they sold off their profits or losses and go back to their lives we are stuck here with their sell offs, combine those whales and "get rich quick" people, the price is still great compared to what it was before them.
Whales read emotions through the chart and they know when people have gotten greedy enough since they are usually the market makers anyway. One thing I have seen so far is that, there is no way bitcoin was not meant to fall after last year's FOMO as this was inevitable already at some point and now that we are seeing it fall, rather than some people taking the chance to get in by accumulating bit by bit as it goes lower, they are instead panicking.

How is that ever supposed to help any of them in the long run ?
6042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to zcoin?! on: July 14, 2018, 03:20:33 PM
Does anyone know why zcoin went from $140 in Nov 2017 to $13 now? Is there any news or scam that cause this to happen? I've been really interested in xzc for a year now and I just checked on the price! What happened?? Is it because of the bear market? Thnx for replies
Since you are a member, I am sure you should have at least been able to understand the pump and dump nature of the market which should make it easy for you to know why we keep saying it is better to buy the dip than to join FOMO and once you have missed it already, try as much as possible to just accept that you have missed it. Actually, this is a speculative market and most coins and tokens are just in that category, and the bear market is all that takes the best part of it with the whales doing their thing.
6043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: July 10, 2018, 08:14:35 AM
I was out of gambling for a while because of my emotional gambling nature.
I try to do sports betting as mathematical as possible but often I get overwhelmed by loss.
I had decided not to bet above $100 on any bet.
Germany being my favorite team, I put a $500 bet against Mexico, which I lost.
That increased my frustration and I came to bet $1000 on portugal. And to my luck I won it at 1.65 odds.
But if I would have lost, I would have been cashless and betless for the rest of world cup.

I am happy that I have no interest in Football  so there is no question of betting on these matches.

I had some interest in cricket in past but I never made any bet on them also using nay betting website. Now I hardly  get time to even see any sports so betting is not an option for me.
As much as I have actually considered trying to do some sport betting based on how vast I am most especially in soccer, I have never really ended up having that zeal but I feel if I actually do, I may be making a lot since most of the time with discussion, I have gotten a lot of predictions right as to how games can turn out, but I would say such prediction is easy without betting anyway.

I just have that thing with betting and gambling since I was a kid with a relative of mine being a huge addict, and knowing how things ended up for him, it was such a pathetic one I would not even wish my enemy to pass through or experience.
6044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another phishing scam ICO project (Impressio) on: July 04, 2018, 08:04:49 AM
This is totally a scam, they are another lending company scam scheme just like the old ones.

See the scam accusation to them: IMPRESSIO (IMPR) - SCAM BEHAVIOUR

Their website is totally gone and unaccessible.
I never saw the accusations thread before now, honestly speaking, I joined this project because it was been managed by needmoney. Their litepaper was as empty as a desert. I suspect them initially though, but I never had a choice to think twice before of the person manager their bounty company.  What a mistake
The problem with a lot of bounty hunters is that we always assume based on a campaign manager; the project should turn out well. Needmoney was never the owner of the project but just a bounty manager, and you should know by now that the only way you can judge anything is to do your own research.

Maybe Needmoney research was not good enough, but you as a community member relied just one that. What if needmoney also decided to rely on just one little thing to judge that the project is legitimate. DYOR is the way mate and no one should be blamed for anyone's predicament.

6046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More and more Scam projects on: June 28, 2018, 05:33:08 PM
Then stop invest in scam project.  Most are so obvious it is cringe material seeing people invest in them.  Only invest in real project which takes an evening of research.
It is funny that a lot of people keep complaining about scam projects, but they are not asking themselves how they keep being a victim of one. There is no way a project will be scam without noticing as long as the person is ready to dig up very well all that is necessary to know about the project from the team, the availability of product and ask technical questions to know if the team are actually set to work but a lot of these things are what some people take for granted and just invested in anything they feel like.
The issue with most newbie investors is that as long as it is looking good on the outside, they just want to invest and care less about what happens afterwards or will I even say they just want to keep investing in everything.

I have read someone's post before saying that in at least 10 ICOs, as long as 3 comes out well, he is fine and then I asked how about working towards letting the whole 10 come out fine? It is obvious that what most of them are looking for is to make quick bucks and care less about the future of anything and that is one gap to be filled.
6047  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade Vs HODL on: June 23, 2018, 06:35:00 PM
You have way more options than those two. You can swing trade or position trade. I'd recomend to study more, there are a lot of good free info out there.
Yes. On the real sense, why will I ever want to be day trading if I have enough money to make so much from swing trading. Sure, a lot of people have what works best for them, but I really do not see any sense in HODL when there is a lot of benefit to gain from the fluctuation, or day trading when there is a lot of headache to gain from the market noise.

Like you said, it makes a lot of sense trying to get more information on the best way to go about things, but the two options the OP mentioned are really not it for me.
6048  Economy / Speculation / Re: discuss the market? on: June 23, 2018, 05:13:42 PM
Nothing yet, it looks bad so far, no signals of reversal so btc below 6k seems possible. We will see how the market reacts to that, maybe a strong bounce, maybe not, you just have to wait for the signals, going in early is a plan for disaster.
Yeah, it is really looking bad until it stops looking bad. The market is still showing the possibility of a further move to the downside and with that happening, I expect us to go see a double bottom at $6k or go lower towards $5900.

Only time will tell though, but I would not be too relax to start catching the bottom when indeed the market is pretty volatile at this stage. Hopefully we get to see a bounce soon though or not, but however it is, the trend will give us the clue on what to do exactly.
6049  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN IS NOT BUBBLE!! on: June 23, 2018, 08:51:30 AM
I wrote a big post once about the Bubble and the Ponzi scheme. Happen again. The us dollar has not been backed up by gold or other precious reserves for a long time. Almost all Fiat money has no real value in the equivalent of jewelry. Bitcoin also does not have, but this does not mean that they will not create a law that equates the price of 1 coin to a gram of gold, or a diamond, or a barl of oil. This is the economy of the countries in the future. This is the right vector of development.
In fact, if we should call anything a bubble, it is going to have to be fiat. No real value, just bullshit, which is being driven by manipulations and monopolies with a system built by centralization.

No one could deny the fact that things are changing gradually and money is evolving and anyone who wants to call bitcoin a bubble is as limited in knowledge as the government is limited in thinking best for her country. Bitcoin is never a bubble and anyone who wants to call it that would only be publicly embarrassing himself and that goes to those that call themselves financial expert.
6050  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government really scary? on: June 23, 2018, 07:44:48 AM
Yes it is scary because governments has the power to ban cryptocurrencies. But before they will ban it they will consider if what will the effect of banning crypto. Crypto is a big help and it will improve our community.
Well, maybe in some places where democracy is a problem or an issue. Most government can implement regulation policies to kind of limit the activities but being a decentralized space, there is just so little they can do before they can eventually achieve any form of ban.

This is a huge community on its own and we have the freedom to make our own decisions and for the fact that it is not a country thing but a global thing, that makes it very hard to control and why would anyone then be scared of them.
6051  Other / Off-topic / Re: Backup is important on: June 22, 2018, 07:02:21 PM
I was thinking about it also. Its really hard if you lost your phone with important details regarding your investments. I am not that techie if ever i lost my phone this might be a disaster for me. Maybe i will use the phone of my wife as my back up if somethings happen. And also back in email would be nice too. Using some hardware wallets is also a good option especially if you have big amount coins. Hackers will do anything just to have easy money.
It is not hard. Just make sure you remember all the details and most especially the email you used in setting up the authenticator app and I am sure you should be fine. There is an integrated backup in most of them, and that makes it easy to access them all back if you end up purchasing a new device. Nevertheless, having a new device is not a bad idea though, as long as you have the bucks to do so, and it is not affecting you negatively in anyway.
6052  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it the best time to buy cheaper crypto while Bitcoin is at high price? on: June 22, 2018, 03:41:51 PM
A good idea is to divide all your money and most of them to invest in bitcoin, and the rest to invest in top currency, with good technology and a relatively inexpensive price.
Right.Diversify your investments but make sure to invest a large amount into bitcoin since it is already well trusted by people to give good returns. And try to invest also into some good potential altcoins that will also grow in time so you will also gain good profits from them.
These days, most people anyway invest in altcoins just to increase their bitcoin portfolio. The reason being that altcoins are extremely volatile and at the same time the easiest to trade for those who try to wait for the accumulation period, check out for divergence and invest in some of the altcoins with prospect.

Moreover, with the uncertainty with bitcoin right now, it is hard to get into any market as it makes it so easy for them to tap down fast, but gladly waiting for some little bit of uptrend and a consolidation period to see how it all plays out.
6053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ether or altcoins? on: June 22, 2018, 02:44:55 PM
When it comes to anything non-Bitcoin, the best het would be Ethereum. The volume of transactions per day can sustain the value of it. ETH can guarantee a no crash in the value. Whereas looking how altcoins move, it will also entice you to invest on them, just be cautious though and be vigilant as you'll never know when they will reach moon. But nonetheless, I will just go with ETH for long term holdings.
Well, I would not say the best bet would be Ethereum if you are to invest in any altcoin. Sure, Ethereum is good and I am not disputing that fact, but there are so many other projects that are even undervalued at this stage, which I believe for anyone who is smart enough, will be able to do some research and hold some of them as well.

Moreover, when it comes to long term holding without the fear of pump and dump with high level of volatility of most coins, Ethereum may be a good option but does not mean there are no other coins in this category.
6054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never join AirDrop programs any more on: June 22, 2018, 10:51:20 AM
i suggest that instead of joining airdrops, why not join bounty campaigns? It does not take too much of your time. it is much better than airdrop because it may give you large amount of money than what airdrop can give.
That is the idea of airdrop, patience! It is nothing of short term purposes and you are not expected to do so much to get it anyway. It is absurd to be joining airdrops when there is much to gain from the likes of bounty like you said which is a lot better at getting something substantial as long as the individual is ready to work for it. These are free tokens and I wonder why anyone will be furious because of that.

That's new to my ears that someone joined hundreds of airdrops and you never gained even $5?
Yes, that is not realistic. The concept of joining more campaigns and diversifying bounty hunting is to adjust the efforts along with various rewards. If even $5 was also not achieved means, he might have joined only in shits.
6055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the price of crypto is down now, what to do on: June 22, 2018, 10:07:41 AM
the price of crypto is now down, what should we do to keep it profitable? give your feedback
What do you want to do to stay in profit than to at least buy some of the market during this dip and be patient enough to wait for the long term. Most people are missing these  life time opportunities and complaining above the behaviors of market. We cannot do anything about prices of cryptos is falling down but we may make use of them by buying more now.

If you are not a well learned trader, this is simply the easiest process to go with most of the time and anything else you are going to be doing will not favor you in anyway, be it selling out of panic, or getting emotional. Hold, buy more and sell when it is in a FOMO is all you have to do.
6056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Criteria of a good gambler on: June 22, 2018, 08:46:46 AM
I think a criteria to be a good gambler is to know how to strictly restrict himself from using the money that are suppose to be used for his family expenses to gamble in order to chase back his heavy losses, that is one of the reason why people who are heavily addicted to gambling could often find themselves getting into a very stressful relationship with their family members.

Agree, good gamblers are those who are able to keep from falling into things that can interfere with his life. Those who use little of their money to gamble and no intention to use the money that should be used for other purposes, are those that I think a good gambler.
They are just reasonable and realistic. That does not make them good gamblers. By the definition of good, it means you are doing well in such a thing. No one actually gets to win a lot from gambling unless their luck pulls them through, but in any case, there should always be a sense that helps one to knowing when to stop gambling and when to just have fun from it which a lot of people find very hard and makes them an unreasonable gambler.

Being a good gambler will not be having any extra edge in my experience after all. You may get enforced to face sudden losses even you have behaved like a good and legendary gambler because gambling is working in such a way to shock us most of the times. Being a good gambler may give you some self satisfaction and you cannot expect anything more than that.
6057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: June 21, 2018, 07:28:19 PM
All I remember I was in college and suddenly we tuned into a FIFA match, and we harmlessly put a bet of 10$ I have absolutely zero idea when those bets turned to 1000 and once mad bet of 10000 (I had zero funds was deep down in gambling debt decided to take a risk call and it paid off). I do occasionally gamble but now I'm able to control it, once you learn the fear of loosing your life is when you suddenly are able to control yourself.
the story is pretty good indeed if we trace the gamblers started out of curiosity and dabbled when there is an incident like this when he got the gamble gain then he will try it again and continue until such that he eventually became an addict for the benefit large enough.
In my community a person lost his house after losing all the money. The problem was that the house was not his alone. His brothers and sisters also owned the house. The gang came to his house and told his brother to leave the house. His brother went to their father and told him that this house is not owned only by my brother. Please leave us. Gang father ordered to put the loser to death.

I've heard a somewhat similar story from an acquaintance of mine, but without gangs being involved.
Husband had taken out an extra mortgage for his house and various other loans to fund his gambling addiction.

A couple of months, maybe years down the road his wife find out and they end up having to sell their house.
Last I've heard they're living with one of their parents and husband went into therapy for his addiction.
Nice one. That is simply a lot to take in and the wife must really have loved the husband to have gone through all the thick and thin to still stick with him, because in this day and age when divorce is now something that people do not even blink an eye before proceeding, most especially in the western world, that would have made him to lose even his family. Addiction is a very bad thing, and this was one thing that made an uncle of mine ended up becoming a huge liability before he ended up dying penniless.
6058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What currencies do you gamble with? on: June 21, 2018, 06:54:59 PM
Surprising to see that I'm only person voting for Monero. Surely I'm not the only one who thinks Monero (and possibly Zcash) are ideally suited for gambling with?
This maybe because many sites don't have the multiple currency for betting so they will choose bitcoin mostly. But you are right XMR can be the best crypto for gambling ecause if it higher anonymity.I think FJ has XMR also right?
really i bet on bitcoin but i am not playing on casino gambling site or dice like others but i play more on bustadice website which is quite a lot of devotees.
Betting with a certain currency for me has actually been dependent on the transaction as the case may be. Throughout last year when transaction was a hell and you have to wait for days and paying huge fees at the same time, I shifted towards using doge, litecoin and monero as the case may be. The good thing with cryptogames.net is that they have huge number of coins that you can easily gamble with and one of the reasons I see it as the top for me.
6059  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hello traders on: June 21, 2018, 06:21:00 PM
Im working long hours everyday and dont have the time to study technical analysis..so what I did is I bought coins during bearish time .but when I check them back the value goes even dipper..what should be the best thing to do..apply a cutloss strategy or just leave them until the market goes bearish again?
Since you do not have the time to trade, do not ever make the mistake of just trying to catch the dip as that would be more like catching a falling knife.

It is always best to wait it out and see how the market develops back into an uptrend before even thinking of getting into it. At least, stick with daily time frame, make use of MACD crossovers with divergence and see where that leads you, but do not ever trade without at least having some great level of knowledge to do so.
6060  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bithumb Got Hacked Stolen 30 Million dollars worth of crypto (June 20, 2018) on: June 21, 2018, 05:25:23 PM
this seems bad news because it will make the price destroyed because it will make a lot of traders to panic, hopefully bithumb can have a solution to solve this problem.
I am sure you did not read the article that he added to his post. There is no reason to panic, bithumb has been in operation for a very long time and I am sure they really would not want that reputation to go down the drain. However, it is not a good thing to experience and this move was done in KRW token which makes me wonder, why the token ?

At least, since they are using the reservoir to give back what was stolen to the users, it would make matters calm down.
