622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Now on poloniex.com! on: February 02, 2014, 07:44:01 AM
Jesus, just take down the current exchange links.  All you're doing is advertising that the coin is selling for nothing.  If it's not on coinedup or better, then I'd prefer it to not be on an exchange at all.

So your saying you want to take away the only 2 exchanges that gave us a chance because you cant dump your stash at a higher price

No, I'm saying lets wait until we get on a real exchange and can sell what we've spent so long mining without having the price dragged down by past history on these exchanges.  I have ~5m of these and I've been holding them for quite a while, but at this point it's twice as profitable to mine doge, and that's the price point that'll stick in peoples' minds if there's 2 exchanges prominently posted with ridiculously low exchange rates.

Alts don't go to cryptsy first anymore, if anything MRC simply needs to get to cryptorush.in or coinmarket.io first.  Let the dumpers dump, buy cheap coins, mine at low difficulty, and be patient!

Thx

Thank you

Is everyone using this?  Do we know it's legit?  Don't need any trojans!
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CGA] Cryptographic Anomaly - Rarest Coin EVER - RELEASED!!! on: February 02, 2014, 02:07:51 AM
Everyone should go here and up vote!!! Grin

Help get CGA on Cryptsy!

Maybe we should try to prove the coin on a smaller market first.

Suggestions?

Coinmarket.io, cryptorush.in, and c-cex.com are the best of the latest string of alt exchanges IMO.  Cryptsy is no longer the first stop for alts these days.
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT JANE] UltraCoin (UTC) - Newly Launched on: February 02, 2014, 01:35:04 AM
So can anyone explain why hash rates are so low?  I always get much better hash rates with Scrypt-jane.  Huh

Bumface is charging .5 BTC for his own closed source super-fast miner, seems a little shady but hey, his coin his rules, nothing you can do.  PM him for details.

627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT JANE] UltraCoin (UTC) - Newly Launched on: February 02, 2014, 01:03:34 AM
Any idea why the pools  couldn't  mine from start ?
Because it was a scam. Look at all the posts. People still not seeing it. It's funny but sad

This is the new way to pre-mine/instamine.  I try to catch as many launches as I can and I think this trend started with MOON.  Date/time of launch is advertised, promises of fair launch and pools available at release are made, and then "oh noes guise!!!  pools don't work!  hang tight, I'll get it fixed just as soon as I mine 2000 blocks!"

I don't even bother signing up for the launch pools anymore after seeing the same shit happen a dozen times.  Just set up my solo miners and watch a thousand newbies scramble to figure out solo-mining for 30 pages of the thread.
solomining so difficult hao i do diz
I actually set solomining up with my phone, using teamviewer, trying to find nodes on the phone (pain in the ass since scroll doesn't work), all I could read was "OMG solomining doesnt work here is my config:
rpcuser: user
rpcpassword: password

And here is my cgminer conf:
-u youruser -p yourpassword

OMG WHY DOESNT IT WORK"

Ah yes, I remember my newbie days.  I was so proud of myself when I figured out how to use cgminer instead of guiminer.  "Look mommy, I'm using a command line interface, I'm a big boy now!"

But seriously, if anyone is still interested in mining this http://pool.code4.us/utc/ seems to be stable so hop on over.  Even if this coin is crap and a scam we all know it will get pumped to the moon so I'm mining.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT JANE] UltraCoin (UTC) - Newly Launched on: February 02, 2014, 12:27:20 AM

629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Infinitecoin IFC on BTC-e / Time for a big exchange for IFC on: January 31, 2014, 01:35:40 PM
Protip: the "Petition to get whatevercoin on BTC-E" thread is always the last one that comes when the pump is running out of steam and it needs one last boost for the dumpers to sell at the right price.
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDC] Leadcoin don't missing it!! on: January 31, 2014, 01:32:42 PM
Wish this coin would do something already cuz I got a lot of it.  Everything about it just bores me though, dev giving no reason why it is different, why it is even called Leadcoin (not even sure if that is lead as in Pb, or lead as in "lead, follow or get out of the way"), goals, etc.

Find a way to promote it besides giveaways or write up a mission statement or something!

It's Lead as in Pb  Grin

I got LDC put on the http://altcoinfaucet.net/

The original devs have moved on it seems. I have started on a new website and the coin needs a community takeover/foundation.

I am happy to lead the charge for a takeover with everything on the table including name. The client itself is well done and the coin has, in my view, ideal attributes fo a scrypt coin. I think the original devs are busy with a new coin, KAKA, would you believe! It doesn't translate well outside of Korea!  Grin

Oh yeah, and if the name is on the table, I propose it stays Leadcoin but no longer as in Pb.  Leadcoin (Pb that is) conjures images of something heavy, slow, and for the love of god how are we supposed to launch heavy ass Pb to the moon?!?!  The other usage of Lead obviously has more positive connotations attached to it.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: January 31, 2014, 01:28:22 PM
LTC is redundant shit and about the least exciting coin on the planet.  I am grateful it come into being, since the plethora of scrypt-alts that it spawned have made me alot of BTC and fiat, but if we are gonna have a #2 coin, can't it offer something a little more than (BTCx4) + scrypt?

Go for it, I don't think anyone will complain.  New website and logo would be a great start, the current ones look cheap and shitty.  If you need donations for giveaways, faucet, bounties, etc, let me know.

I hated CGB for a long time, thought it was just a stupid gimmick coin that was gonna die and go into a deflationary spiral as soon as it was all mined.  I am glad to see a small amount of inflation has been added mainly through PoS.  I know inflation can be a bit of a dirty word in the crypto world, but a small amount to secure the block chain and ensure a steady stream of CGB continues to trickle into the market to keep it usable as a real world currency is a-okay in my book.  I am a believer now, gonna buy up a few thousand while the price is low.  Keep up the good work and hope CGB can get into china soon!

Just sent 1.5 billion scoin over to cryptorush and it doesn't look like it made it.  Is this coin forked or what?  The transaction is sitting unconfirmed in the client.

is it still unconfirmed now? cryptorush.in is on the same latest version and we have no prior issue. it would be great to post your transaction address using http://altexplorer.net/chain/sCoin

almost everyone is on the correct fork. if yours is still unconfirmed and you have been solo-mined, and then that mean you are on the wrong fork.

i will do another giveaways soon. please vote for it to be on cryptsy exchange https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/74433

by the way, cryptorush.in also allow SCO/doges trading.

blaz092 gave the suggestion of also do another giveaway here http://thisweekscoin.com/forum/index.php

will keep you guys update

Don't think it is cryptorush unless they are giving me an invalid deposit address.

See for yourself.

I do not see the record your "to address" on public blockchain http://altexplorer.net/address/SNyYbUCzp6XFdRqszprLwRwURXzrZuyzXz

Your client is on wrong fork. I can vouch for cryptorush . I have been transfer sCoin in and out without issue.

Yeah, I have used cryptorush for trading other coins no problem, wasn't trying to spread FUD on them, they seem legit.  I was blaming scoin.  It didn't seem to make any damn sense because I even checked with the pool and we were on the same block when I sent the coins and my client seemed to be in sync with them.  Seems odd unless the hashfaster pool was mining on a fork which I didnt hear anything about.  Whatever, blaming crappy coin.  1.5 billion coins no one will miss.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Melange [SPICE] - The Spice Must Flow! on: January 30, 2014, 08:27:19 PM
Jesus christ guys, an entire page of the thread dedicated to people trying to dump the coin isn't gonna help it any.  If we all donated to a faucet, pool, or just started a huge giveaway, that might help.

I'm not looking to dump, I'm only looking to cash out 1/5 my current shares right now, with only 1 million of these to ever be mined it technically should be worth 21x what BTC is worth, so selling at 800/1 BTC or $1 each is actually a steal

Yeah, makes total sense.  Did you know there are about an equal number of cocks and vaginas on the planet?  Therefore, we should desire both equally.  I thank crypto-currency for revealing to me that I am bisexual.

You see how stupid that sounds?  You are using the same logic.

Just like that old nugget "LTC should be 1/4 of BTC" crap.  It's supply AND demand, not just supply we consider.

Boy, you're totally not a prick.  Roll Eyes

...If you had bothered to read 3 posts below that one you would have read this gem: "lol, exactly why I put 'technically' in there, realistically there's no way it would ever see that price"

No, not even technically should it be that price.

There will be 1,000,000 total so take the price of CGB as a guide.  We also need to consider that this is a niche coin within what is a niche market, doesn't have nearly the mass appeal of CGB.  I like the coin, I like Dune, I like sci-fi, I am mining this coin and hold a fair chunk of it and would like it see it do well, but even I would say a fair price for SPICE is 0.0003 - 0.0006 BTC tops right now.

...So let me get this straight, you think its worth $0.30-0.60 each right now, but you feel the need to attempt berating me because I think its worth $1.00 right now? ... Maaaakkkessss sennnseeee  Roll Eyes

No, I was berating you for saying it "technically should be worth 21x what BTC is worth".  On a deeper level I am berating you because I can hide behind this screen name and be a big internet bully when of course I don't have the spine to call people out on their bullshit in real life.  Just a way to make myself feel superior to someone else even for just a brief second before I return to my menial 3rd shift job and continue to underachieve.

Wow, you really held a mirror up to me today Jarod, thanks.  You are a regular Dr. Phil.

Or it could be amphetamine psychosis setting in because I've been awake for 4 days, who knows.

Ahhh bitcointalk has decided that altcoin giveaways are not allowed here.

you can open one at scificointalk then post a link here.

I also would post a link at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=434310.0 the ban giveaway thread.

Yeah, I just noticed that.  Was unaware.  Maybe will head over to scificointalk.
