621  Other / Meta / Re: Happy new year, Just a bite of love from me with bitcointalk.org in my Life on: January 08, 2023, 07:18:18 AM
This has got nothing to do with bitcointalk, but the second most memorable thing that happened to me this year (the first would be way too long to explain and I don't have any pics) was coming across an abandoned guinea pig while I was out picking up scrap in the middle of the night.  The temperature was about 35 degrees Fahrenheit, and as I was opening the gate to a stall where a dumpster would have been stored, there it was in its cage, silent and obviously very cold.  This was in back of an abandoned dollar store, so the poor thing would have died had I not taken him home.

My god, those things squeal really cute! I happened to watch some video from this famous YouTube channel called The DoDo and I didn't really expect them to sound like that.
622  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FUN][In Merit] Post Count Down To Your Next Rank Here. on: January 08, 2023, 07:10:43 AM
You have been the face of a casino with little to no issues, so I have sent a few merits your way. Keep it up!!

Thanks so much for the kind words, I'm humbled.

May God bless you!

No matter the amount placed per bet, a good multiplier always packs a punch! A VIP of ours, Dolby Atmos shared with us a max win on Retro Tapes slots of 10,000x! A 10 cent bet that turned into $1,000! Grats!!!

624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: January 05, 2023, 04:02:33 PM
Thanks for the share up and its true that it isnt really that a bad alternative considering that there are really indeed some elements if we do talk about resemblance but not totally that obvious but for those who

get used to Twitch then you could totally notice it out directly. I dont know about  Dlive is really getting some significant numbers after the ban?
There are even people said that there are still streams about gambling after such decision or i had just missed out something?

Ah, late reply. Happened to see your response so here it goes.

I wouldn't call it significant but I do see a bunch of gambling videos the moment the main page loads.

According to some quick search, people are complaining about some streaming lag. Ain't a streamer myself so I can't verify that though.

I am entirely sure that it would be something that is more and more popular overtime. Twitch has done so many bad things over course of many months now, maybe even over a year. People realize that they are a monopoly, and they go there when they want to first start out, but when they grow big enough there are other places, such as youtube for example, and you could always be there.

Doesn't mean you will make the same money, but if you make a lot already then you could say no to excess amount and switch for bigger potential. Which one would you prefer? Making 250k a year on twitch forever, or making 150k on Kick.com with a chance to make 500k+ one day if you consistently stream?

Yup, but YouTube is a mighty monopoly that's hard to compete with. So many brands claim to be alternatives or killers but ultimately get abandoned or just died. After all, it's Google's cash cow.

Twitch ain't a saint, but many still stick to it since they have a loyal following and subscribers there. Only the gamblers or the controversial streamers might want to look elsewhere.

Once those alternate platforms stand the test of time and can offer a much better revenue cut for their streamers, then we'll see the change in landscape.

This being a resurfaced thread whose case I recall, it does seem more like an attempt to publicize the business through the account’s name, and not much else. At least from a practical point of view, the account had no further activity once the OP was created, and never bothered to come back to provide further details or query any further.

I don't think that's the case, just the data diggers that perform spirit rituals while digging deep into abyss into the in hopes of bringing the long-inactive OPs back from the eternal slumber.

Happens to other threads as well.

Username does not check out, when the payout speaks otherwise. How ironic!

Congrats to our level 861 VIP user on that 1,676x from The Border slots!

See this is the crap I'm talking about. It's always on the player's end and NOT the casino's. The casino won't even take responsibility to investigate the problem. Just write it off as player's fault. I play the same doggone game on stakes and roobet and I never have this problem. It's only at 500.casino the whole website is slow loading. They have too many plug ins trying to load. Go load up the sportsbook it takes 15+ seconds just to get to the sportsbook when it should be damn near instant. As I said, I don't mind losing fair and square but don't put the blame on me when it's clearly the casino that is lagging in time response. They have lost a good daily player because they refuse to even look into the problem according to support agent Zen. There are just too many other decent casinos that would take the time and investigate a player's complaint instead of brushing them off.

As I mentioned again earlier, what you experienced on crash is a common occurrence. That's why the network/ ping indicator is displayed. Even Stake, Betfury have them as well.

Yes, I used the manual and the thing kept on going and going when I pressed it. If you look at my account you can see I do a lot of betting there. If I lose I redeposit with no problems. But to get robbed as I did and when I went to support to plead my case. Support didn't care to hear it or investigate if the problem could indeed come from the casino's end. I don't mind losing but please just don't take my money and call me a liar when I know I kept pressing the cashout button on the game.

Ah, honestly speaking even I myself don't use manual on sites I play on because the connection on my end tend to be located far from the servers. It happened multiple times to me as well (and I suck at pulling out on Crash).

As you mentioned on using manual, we usually recommend utilizing the auto-cashout to avoid these kind of outcomes. By default, crash is a latency-sensitive game, so at times the response from the client (i.e. us players) might not register quick enough before the crash happens. Just like in a multiplayer games when we wonder why our actions take at least a second later to initiate. If you observe the top-left of the screen whenever a new round starts, a clickable dot is present to indicate the client's latency/ ping. From the image below, mine's terrible enough:

While I'm not from the Support team, do understand that the casino only takes responsibility if the issue falls on their servers or game providers. Using your case as an example, should the entire site encounter a sudden interruption right after you placed your bet, the casino will reimburse all affected players from that round. However since the client's latency is the issue, that falls outside of the casino's purview.
628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Bitcointalk is the best forum on: January 05, 2023, 03:57:46 AM
What part of the hack did i missed?
I never know this forum have been hacked before and I am only reading about that now from this thread come to think of it, I have thought the forum to be open source that way it allows users to contribute to its development both technical and otherwise.

And Another point to note is that as a newbie, you should pay more attention to learning and building your knowledge first before diving into making any contribution or suggestion, that way you can make a meaningful contribution that will be helpful to other members of the forum.

I don don't why most people here refer to bitcointalk as olace to make money and I don't know how that works aside from the incentives given for participating in signature renting aside from that, what other ways are there for members to make legitimate money that required forum involvement.

Here's a thread explaining when it was hacked, Bitcointalk history of hacks and vandalism.

Warning DO NOT PLAY at 500 Casino
The support here is very arrogant. Their software is extremely slow which cost me to lose $200 on the game of crash. I went to support for help and support blamed me saying my internet connection is slow. This is an outright lie. If you go to any of their games or sportsbook. Their site takes forever to load up due to them having so many ads running like "Stop the war in Ukraine. Loading the best odds, etc."

I am a daily depositing customer of $200+ a day. I never complain but to be ripped off by their lagging software and then be blamed by an arrogant support agent named Zen. I advised anyone considering playing here to find elsewhere to play. They won't even investigate your complaint to see if the fault lies on their end. They have lost a good daily customer over a $200 crash game that is lagging and delays when you try to cash out of it.

Hey Lucky7btc,

When you mentioned about losing $200 on crash, were you using the manual cashout feature?

Does your house have any CCTV that managed to capture the face of whoever that poisoned it?
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: will this damage the device? on: January 03, 2023, 07:37:35 AM
Actually, I'm still new to Bitcoin mining so I decided to try using NiceHash cloud mining through CPU, I thought the mechanism would be the same and I just studied it first before I bought ASIC as the main mining equipment which is more effective and efficient.

Thank you for reminding me, all of my friends' suggestions are used as a benchmark for mining that I will do.
If there's anything else I need to prepare regarding Bitcoin mining, feel free to make suggestions or point me to more complex mining discussion threads.

Hey, I'm also using NiceHash as well, gets the job done. Initially used it since the RTX cards were handicapped by LHR.

Frankly speaking, mining Bitcoin isn't always about purchasing a dedicated ASIC machine just to pound away on those numbers. Business models are getting smarter by allowing users like us to mine altcoins that isn't power-demanding like BTC, which we could then cash out in BTC from crypto conversion (e.g. $10 in ETC => $10 BTC before fees)

Pretty much the same concept, just that we don't own any virgin ones

Of course not lol, I end up gambling it away in the same place I got it so freeitco.in basically loses nothing, it also gives me lottery tickets and more reward points and lambo tickets too but I won none of that so far which means that I do not deposit much here, been a while since I last did, but I haven't withdrawn any money from here neither since the same times hence there is a net balance between me and freebitco.in, there is no profit nor a loss for neither of us in the same way.

The good ol' gambling temptation, huh? Happened to me as well during the recent World Cup. Can't stop them itchy fingers when those two teams had neck-to-neck chances, yet still lost

635  Other / Meta / Re: What one change would you like to see in bitcointalk in 2023 on: January 02, 2023, 03:51:52 PM
Perhaps a better merit system? I mean, whenever someone receives a merit for their reply to a thread, that user's post comes out on top! It's similar to showcasing whose response has the most substance or is the funniest, similar to reddit's.

But yeah! I think this is the most difficult to implement  Cheesy

How would that apply to multiple posts though? 🤔
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real most rewarding Crypto Casino? on: January 02, 2023, 01:20:53 PM
Your words are true for the honest referrals, that`s why i don`t say that it is my income - just bonus i get time to time. But the referrers with hidden links(like review sites) has a huge quantity of referrals and even part of them that gamble in one month give a big profit. And they continue get referrals every day and get more chances for income.
I saw the monthly profit from such referrer - it was really big and it can be called every month income.

Loyal referrals are super rare to find. I am fortunate to have a few that wagers alot which helps pay off my bills.

But if you're an influencer or those gambling streamer, pretty sure they get to survive off referral income.

my name change is trivial compared to most of the other things on your list--but thanks for remembering the details of how it happened.

Aww don't say that, having theymos notice a single name change request is revolutionary, meanwhile we're still waiting for our reporter badges Grin
638  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to Bitcointalk - Where to safely purchase Bitcoin? on: January 02, 2023, 01:01:54 PM
I agree, I think there will be long term and negative spillover on crypto because of FTX. Ordinary investors will be turned off by it. If that can happen to FTX what's to say it can't happen at Binance? I think people should store their crypto in their own wallets so they are in full control. Do you mind if I ask if you keep your holdings on an exchange or your own wallet?

Correct. However there are still many that are either not invested or just too lazy, until they experience it themselves. Perhaps they don't have a substantial holding or just believed that the exchange is too established to go bust. Binance is one.

But I'll still be looking to buy some ethereum in addition to focusing on bitcoin. We all have choices and know what is best for us, so we must try to get it.

Username checks out :p

Both are good, just that one's the OG and the other's an ecosystem for different apps and deployments.
