Ok guys, It's official, I walk away. I was a fucking moron for even getting involved with this at all what so ever, a lot of told you so moments have been had and I don't expect them to stop, they are deserved.
I won't be repaying the ~1000btc owed by bitscalper as I genuinely feel what I received was miss sold and not as advertised or agreed.

For what it's worth, would you guys like me to publish the source code on github and also publish the transaction log from bitcoind? (Though it will contain email address's of some ~700 users)

I am very sorry and I am ashamed of myself.

Thank you for that final word on this story.
I wouldnt recommend publishing the user list - or at least the email addresses - as well as the code. With that code arround a lot more bitscalper clones will open up in new time.. but how about selling the code? Wink

at least he doesnt have to create 20 accounts here to advertise himself..
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin 3.0 (aka MicroCash) will have a daily fee for each address you have. on: May 09, 2012, 06:41:16 PM
Transactions done up to today are only the beginning. Are we really going to drag around 2, 3, 4... years of transactions? WHY?

Because my coins are there, and I really want to keep them. I don't want my coins to evaporate because you can't spare a little hard drive space. What sort of crap system do you have? Even my phone can run a Bitcoin client just fine.

If SLC has figured out, how prune this massive "transaction list", we better copy this or BTC/LTC become useless faster, than any of us wants to imagine.

It's already been implemented in some of the Bitcoin clients.

And remembering the history of Solidcoin the question is: Which project's implementation did RealSolid steal this time? (And furthermore: did he again remove the copyrights?)

@Matthew N. Wright, this is your only warning, if you continue negging me.
I will put resolute force behind my words,
and with this and only this, will you ever be told.

I think you aim at the wrong person.. isnt bitscalper the one who scammed you?
627  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PHP martingale bot for satoshiDICE on: May 09, 2012, 07:59:04 AM

628  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PHP martingale bot for satoshiDICE on: May 09, 2012, 07:49:41 AM
same thing.. i either get the confirmed balance or no balance ><
629  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PHP martingale bot for satoshiDICE on: May 09, 2012, 07:29:38 AM
That IS a problem i just noticed myself after running a few games.. i wonder - how can you get 0-Conf balances via command line
bitcoind getbalance '*' 0 returns 0.000000 for me

i don't know but i'm going to take a quick guess... have you tried without the single quotes?
bitcoind getbalance * 0

Everything just ends up with 0.00000 or "type mismatch" - only singlequotes worked so far... i keep trying and will update my script

Thanks payb.tc for your nice PHP Script :0) Donation on the way

thanks very much Smiley

i'm not even sure i've heard of PowerShell... it looks a lot like php.

Powershelll is, simplified, Bash for Windows. Much nicer scripting than with old Batch files Wink

A PowerShell Version:

Code:
Write-Host "Satoshidice"

$min_bet = 0.01
$max_bet = 0.1
$address = "1dice8EMZmqKvrGE4Qc9bUFf9PX3xaYDp"

$bet = $min_bet
$total_fees = 0
$count = 0
$count_won = 0

$starting_balance = ./bitcoind getbalance

while ($bet -le $max_bet -AND $count_won -le 100) {

$count ++
$balance_a = ./bitcoind getbalance

$tx = ./bitcoind sendtoaddress "$address" $bet

$balance_b = ./bitcoind getbalance

$fee = $balance_a - $balance_b - $bet
$total_fees += $fee

Write-Host "Game: $count"
Write-Host "Balance: $balance_a"
Write-Host "Bet: $bet"
Write-Host "Fee: $fee"
Write-Host "Total Fees: $total_fees"
Write-Host –NoNewLine "Balance: $balance_b Waiting "

$balance_c = 0
$last_c = 0

while ($balance_b -ge $balance_c)
{
$balance_c = ./bitcoind getbalance

if(  ($balance_c -eq $last_c) -OR ($last_c -eq 0) )
{
Write-Host –NoNewLine "."
}else
{
Write-Host "Balance: $balance_c"
}

$last_c = $balance_c

}

$diff = $balance_c - $balance_b

if ($diff -gt $bet)
{
$bet = $min_bet
$count_won = $count_won + 1
Write-Host "Win! ($count_won out of $count)"
}else
{
$bet = $bet * 2
Write-Host "Lose!"
}

Write-Host ""
}

*edit* Just passed the 10k lines of code (php only) mark.
634  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [RETYPE] - Leaked FBI Report on Bitcoin- April 2012 on: May 08, 2012, 06:58:48 PM
Is that just me or does that read as if "Bitcoin" was a company?
There's an explanation of their terminology near the beginning of the document.

Quote
(U//FOUO) This assessment will not address malicious actors outside of the cyber underground, such as traditional organized crime groups, extremist groups, or child predators.  Throughout the paper, the term “Bitcoin,” when capitalized, refers to both the open source software used to create the virtual currency and the P2P network formed as a result; “bitcoin” using lower case refers to the virtual currency that is digitally traded between users.

ok, thx.

Small update:

My current todo list looks like this (Somewhat in that order):
- Automatted Deposit handling (yeah.. i know.. thats been in there for a while..)
- Shop for Upgrading Rigs with virtual coins
- Teams (As my answer for the request to Pools. As pool would be a false definition in the game i think that "Teams" might be a better idea... got to look how i implement coin payout that way..
- Personal Messages
- User to User coin sending

Stuff i look into a bit deeper but havent decided on yet:
- IRC instead of my current Shoutbox (Maybe!)
- Instant User to User BTC transfer
...and some surprises...
637  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: VirtualMiner 2.0 - Running! on: May 06, 2012, 04:27:52 PM
Great site! I hope to start earning a few little BTC

Thanks!

I hope we will all do that someday :0)

FYI:
"Liquidcoin" was renamed to "Fluidcoin"

So once we get all the pissing out of the way, it's safe to say that it is not a guarantee that anyone is getting BTC back despite MiningBuddy's best efforts? I'm kinda bummed, but it was sunk cost anyway, and I can still eat food with or without the BTC I put into it. Good on you MiningBuddy for stepping up to the plate and trying to help calm this shitstorm, cause even if everyone else on this board wants your head on a pike now, you're still the one who tried to put this back together, and that's more than anyone else on the board can say.

good post.

Looks like it.. I compiled that list before lqc came up.. I will talk with its creator
640  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: VirtualMiner 2.0 - Running! on: May 05, 2012, 06:07:01 AM
Curiously, do you have to remain in desktop mode with the virtual miners in Monitor? Or will they continue to mine even when you're offline?
No you dant have to stay in Desktop Mode. The game will remain hashing even when youre not on the website.

Requests:
- The ability to make pools would be cool
- Trading between virtual currencies

Pools: I currently dont plan on adding pools but i will write them on my list of features to look into. Currently the game simulates one big pool for every chain.. maybe later.
Trades: Same as above. I dont plan on doing that right now, but will look into it.

Changes i am working now include:
- Shop to buy rig upgrades etc via Virtual Coins
- Cancel trades in the exchange
- Finishing the faucet
