621  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: hash bitcoin NEED HELP FOR RECOVERING OLD WALLET on: August 29, 2022, 12:37:02 PM
I already tried it with 10 million combinaison password and don't find anything.
maybee i'm doing it wrong.
Can you explain how you will do it if it was yours? Thanks in advance.

All depends if you have any clues, what the password is. If you know nothing, even length, it is very difficult and the most probably not worth to do it.
If you have any knowledge about password, you should thing what are you sure about and what is doubtful. For example you may be sure that length is 10 characters, or you may think it might be 8-12 characters.
Then think if you build your password from a "real" words, sentences or numbers. Was there any "template" of passwords you used in the past (like name + number)? What mistake was done? uppercase/lowercase, typo etc.

But if all you know is that - for example - it was 16 random characters, it does not seem to be doable...
622  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: hash bitcoin NEED HELP FOR RECOVERING OLD WALLET on: August 29, 2022, 12:31:10 PM
Why do not you want to use hashcat? It seems to have the best performance for your needs.

The other options are John the Ripper (https://github.com/openwall/john, https://www.openwall.com/john/) and btcRecover (https://btcrecover.readthedocs.io/en/latest/). If you want to use CPU only, it will be very slow, if you have GPU available, follow instruction how to enable it in btcrecover (https://btcrecover.readthedocs.io/en/latest/GPU_Acceleration/#btcrecover-gpu-acceleration-guide)

623  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: preev.net - what it should have and how it should look? on: August 29, 2022, 10:16:52 AM
I have 2 questions:
1) as I understand, the price is loaded during page load/refresh, and calculations are done "offline". If I keep page open for several hours/days, does it update the price?
2) do you plan to expose any simple api, which would return the price? Currently you use call to coingecko:
Code:
https://api.coingecko.com/api/v3/simple/price?vs_currencies=usd,eur&ids=bitcoin

Do you plan to do something like that, but without call to 3rd party side (to have your server returning the result)?

Verstappen did it! I understand that many people were disappointed and almost sure they lost their money, but finally all went "as it should be". It is one more proof that for odds 1.39 it might be not worth to risk too much.

By the way - is there particular reason why freebitco does no accept native segwit bc1... withdrawal addresses?

Sainz has pole position, Verstappen will have a very difficult task tomorrow! It is going to be interesting race Smiley

And bitcoin below 20k, odds for the range are 10.56! Anyone of you are in that range? It would bring fantastic gain!
626  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Biometrics as private key? on: August 27, 2022, 08:46:29 AM
Put a chip in yourself to avoid the enormous hassle of having to spend 5 whole seconds taking out your wallet or phone to pay for something!

Apparently it is not only for paying. Have you seen that news about tesla owner who now is able to open his car with hand??

https://nypost.com/2022/08/22/tesla-owner-implants-car-keys-in-his-hand-using-microchip/

I guess I got lucky here with 3 Golden Tickets! And enough RPs for cashing out! All in all, I am satisfied. Smiley

Wow! Bravo!

5 hours left for Spa F1 betting. Sainz was the fastest yesterday, but let's wait for qualifications. I think I will bet on Ferrari (and maybe just a little bet for Verstappen).
Weather will be good this weekend, it is going to be a beautiful race.
628  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Biometrics as private key? on: August 26, 2022, 07:18:54 PM
300 years is too much mate, i think 10 years will be enough to get to that point. Just look at the news
The microchip implants that let you pay with your hand
https://www.bbc.com/news/business-61008730

Future is now (almost).
It is quite easy to have it working right now: https://walletmor.com/
By the way it would be interesting to have LN wallet based on NFC, where you may pay without camera/qr code scan.

I am not sure if I would like to have it in my body, but if anyone want's it, there are possibilities.

Is a microchip implant part of our biometrics?

No, I do not think so. It is just like a normal bank card which you have "build-in".
For me, biometrics is something which is clearly related to a given person's body. Fingerprint, iris recognition, etc.

In my opinion it's preferable to wager 500,000 satoshis to receive 1 GT than purchasing each of them for 25,000 satoshis, though.

The point it that if you do "reasonable" decisions, you will end with more than 475k sat if you wager 500k. Which means that you not only received 1GT (additional benefit), but also you have a "base" profit. You just need to decide what to do with 500k sat, while many "small" players do not bet so much - anyway I think it is quite easy doable in a few months.
630  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: August 26, 2022, 01:01:36 PM
I mean over a quarter bitcoin per week, 1 bitcoin per month, which is about 6 months per 6 months which is lambo time. Right now that is 120k, but there were times when it was more. So, I assume it is not really that far off.

Yes, but it not not as spectacular as Lambo thing ;-)
The same you may say that betting may give you bigger income than lottery or even GT.

FUN price stays at 37sat, I think I will buy some more at the end of month, in my way to 50k. Unfortunately 500 tokens is minimum you may hold...

Any plans for Spa F1 GP betting?
Now we have Verstappen (1.35), Leclerc (4.89) and Hamilton (9.34). I am not sure if Verstappen's odds and the way how he leads betting really corresponds to chances in the race. 4.89 seems to be a little too big, as for the second option, no?
Last year race was a (sad) parody, this year it seems it will not rains and we will see a "normal" race. Spa is a fast track, I think Ferrari are underestimated.
Ah, and last thing - Spa in 2019 was a race where Leclerc had his first victory, maybe he would like to repeat that result.
632  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poker tournaments why tournaments in other games on: August 26, 2022, 08:51:56 AM
I think gamblers don't find them boring in this game as compared to other games. Other games which are computerized are very boring to me and the amount of enjoyment is very less for me on these games.

If you have no other option, you take what they get. Have you ever seen a Japanese Pachinko parlor? It is crazy! One may say it is stupid and boring, but as gambling is illegal in Japan, pachinko is the only game allowed. Of course all that situation complicates everything (you cannot win any prize, all you get are "tokens", but if you only cross the street, you may exchange these tokes for something more real), but there is no alternative.
633  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: August 25, 2022, 09:05:25 PM
It clearly shows that GT is more attractive as potential reward per ticket is bigger.
You should consider the big difference between golden ticket price and weekly lottery ticket price as well.
(...)

Very good calculations, interesting point of view. You are right, I completely ignored ticket price (as I do not plan to buy any). But what you shown, the chances in weekly lottery you "buy" for the cost of single GT, that's a very good remark...
I think GT main prize makes the game more demanding, while weekly lottery is a very "secondary" kind of event. Maybe as swogerino wrote, that's where the chance is.
634  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poker tournaments why tournaments in other games on: August 25, 2022, 09:00:57 PM
I think it is something as simple as they simply do not feel compelled to do it, if you take a look at the interests of those gambling with cryptocurrencies you will see that games like dice and slots are the most popular while poker has only a small amount of gamblers enjoying the game, so if this is representative of the overall interest of the community then those big websites probably do not see the need to adopt bitcoin yet and give that deposit option to their clients.

I have mixed feelings. From one side I think they are somehow moderated/limited by local law they must respect, like accepting fact that they cannot provide service to users from some countries. From the other side it is kind of business where you may do a lot if you expect profit. Bonuses, lotteries, any ways to attract (new) players, just to get their money. At the end they always win, as players compete with themselves, house always takes it's part.
Maybe you are right, maybe it is too early, but we cannot ignore fact that there is a lot of people (and probably will be much more) who has some crypto-coins and would like to spend them, one way or another. And currently all they are able to do is to play dice, not serious poker with other players.

Exactly, I do the same for the golden ticket lottery. If I don't win one with the WOF spins, I always buy one.

Last time there were 1,151,098 Golden Tickets and the main prize was 4.910 BTC.
In the last lottery (#377) there were 188,863,611 tickets and the main prize was 0.128 BTC. Which means that because chance was 164 times smaller, the prize to be "attractive in a similar way" should be 21BTC.
It clearly shows that GT is more attractive as potential reward per ticket is bigger.
636  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poker tournaments why tournaments in other games on: August 25, 2022, 02:37:04 PM
How do you think, why big companies are not accepting deposits in crypto? I mean PokerStarts etc. Is it just a lack of provider? Or they are somehow obliged not to do it, because of some money-laundering rules?
Even PokerTracker is not accepting crypto ;-)
637  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: August 25, 2022, 10:02:33 AM
Yes, although the chances are very small, it is much better to have just one ticket than none. If I had had zero tickets for a lottery round, I'd buy one, but normally I have hundreds of them from my WoF spins.

I do not see any bigger logic in that - except the fact that because of rules, each newly generated/bought ticket lowers others' chances. I just do not see point in doing something you are not fully engaged in. It is just spending money without any sense (for me), as real chances are so low that is it is really difficult to have any hope. I would love to disable lottery tickets completely, but unfortunately it is not possible and I still receive them from WOFs.
638  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: m keys, c keys and private keys. on: August 23, 2022, 07:22:48 PM
Reading format documentation https://renenyffenegger.ch/notes/development/Crypto-Currencies/Bitcoin/wallet you will find description:
Code:
mkey: Master key (class MasterKey)
ckey: an encrypted key

If you have encrypted wallet, you must first know password to be able to decrypt it.
Or try to break it, for example using https://github.com/albertobsd/crackBTCwallet

Hello guys. I have beer reading and learning a lot about Bitcoin address

Do not drink when you code Wink But I understand you were looking for Ballmer peak: https://xkcd.com/323/

Now, the problem is that i can't find the way to generate the address starting from the Script Hash for Bech32 address. I know there is a bech32.encode command, but i wasn't able to make it work and there is not much information about it.

Which library do you use? Have you seen that example? https://github.com/bitcoinjs/bech32

You may test encoding/decoding live here: https://slowli.github.io/bech32-buffer/
640  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [privacy] How many Bitcoin chips are out there? on: August 23, 2022, 12:31:58 PM
As far as I know there are no false positives or negatives in my data. If anyone's interested in the full data (27 GB of "which chip exists on which day"), let me know.

Do not you think the amount 0.001 or 0.002 could be so popular that connecting it with chipmixer transfer is a bit risky? Or course we may say it is a candidate because that amount was used, but I think we may have many many uncorrelated transactions.

How about source addresses, any duplicates?
