Just use 12.1. It's the last ocl driver for xp. Sdk 2.1 or use the one with 12.1. CPU bug should be gone.

624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoinica MtGox account compromised on: July 14, 2012, 12:31:44 AM
How did someone initiate a $40 000 transfer without AML warning bells going off at Mt Gox since they use this excuse if you usually try it with anything close to $10 000 or in combinations that are close to that ? One doesnt just transfer $40 000 out of Mordor.

AML as nothing to do with warning. AML is just here to make sure you are who you say you are, and then once a person on here in this case a company prove they are who they say they are they become Trusted or Verified. Once you have a Verified Account or a Trusted account your limits are not lifted, you or in this case the representative of the company need to contact us and ask us to lift their account limits.

AML has once again nothing to do with that. Now Mt.Gox offers many withdrawal methods, and the thief use the one(s) that fit his/her/their needs in that matter.

Which is BS since you can be a level 47 verified and you all will sit on a wire transfer for weeks. Especially a larger transfer.

How exactly did they get 40K out of Gox without having to wait 2 weeks?

Well last week was July 4th, major holiday. Still should only take a couple of days to go through, wires are virtually instant.

and so gpumax miners will simply setup a pass thru proxy.

Also when you say

Any account with miners connected on 2 or more IP addresses from different subnets

What subnet?

I have a whole /30 subnet My miners are across several ips, although I can change gateways easily enough to make them all appear as one IP.
630  Other / Off-topic / Re: Generate Google Authenticator OTPs with a TI89? on: July 12, 2012, 08:44:28 PM
Correct me if I'm wrong but if you can generate the codes, then anyone can do it which means it's useless. I thought most of these keys are salted with some specific to your account and I doubt youll be able to figure out what it is and I doubt the bank or wherever would tell you.

Yep I feel bad for the ones who paid bfl with bitcoins.

Bfl is probably using the capital to drive up bitcoin value only.. Then they can easily say oops we screwed up here's a refund of your 1300 or the equivalent value of bitcoins at that time.
635  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 5970 - 1 GHash/s - Bad Temps? on: July 12, 2012, 01:24:34 AM
I'm running my 5970s on air and my vrm are under 100c at 900mhz and 1.1v

If you are on water and can't get it stable it's because you farked up your water block install or used poor quality TIM. Yes it really is that important. It's needs extreme thermal conductivity and the proper thickness.

US1 is having serious problems for me.

I'm constantly idling and getting "not providing work fast enough"

cgminer is marking us1 disabled.

US2 and US3 are fine.

638  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overclock monitor fanspeed GCN RPC linux/windows 2.5.0 on: July 11, 2012, 06:51:33 PM
2.5 has caused me HUGE problems. Every miner but 1 mines a couple shares and stops. Just sits there. 2.4.4 did something similar. I dropped back to 2.4.3 and everything is peachy.

What changed between them?
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kim Dotcom looking for suggestions on payments on: July 11, 2012, 05:29:57 PM
Until bitcoin gets very big the problem is cashing it out to fiat. Thats the point of failure and as such the government can just seize it there, or tax it or whatever.

Small time, it's easy to use for whatever.

To depend on it for sizeable income or for a large business would kill you.
640  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: [Poll]Will you be switching to ASIC? on: July 11, 2012, 03:02:50 PM
How about "I'll switch to ASIC when it's not speculative vaporware".
