I'm helping with the distribution of the coins Although very slowly, at 5Mhz  (currently 0,002) But i've just come here, reading about the swap. Currently I'm mining at mining-dutch. Am I mining old or new coins? Or will it depend on when I transfer the earnings to my wallet (which I don't have yet) You can mine the old 42 at mining-dutch and swap them for the new 42. Old and new wallet are not compatible with each other, cross-chain transactions are impossible. |

Bad distribution is bad for a cryptocoin. I have been in Nxt for years, one of the best coins out there, but the initial distribution created a bad environment on which Nxt has never really been recovered.
Maybe change the deadline another month? And do some more advertising to the cryptocommunity, so all old 42 coin holders will get a chance to claim there coins?
We can stop trading on Cryptopia earlier, in order to swap their 17 coins faster. Not more than 5 coins are on the "active" wallets. The question is, where are the other coins? |

To make 42 more successful the distribution of the coins needs to be better. When I look at the richlist https://chainz.cryptoid.info/42/#!rich , I see that the top 10 wallets hold 98.33% of the coins. How can we improve this? This process is not fast. The most important is that this distribution is absolutely fair and that the coins on the richest address is not the developers premine/instamine, but fully belong to the community: Do you mean you intend to keep any coins that don't get swapped in 2017 for yourself? That could be a big share of all the existing coins. It would be better to burn any left over coins if half of them don't get swapped instead of making yourself a whale.
The remaining coins will belong to the 42 community, they will take a decision how to spend them via anonymous but transparent voting system. Voting will be available only for the holders. Each vote will have a power proportionally to the holder balance. |

even the original 42 coin had the same feature. 42-coin in trust!!!
Original one had magic bits for better node connectivity. Where are the bits??? Lay them in the open to preserve the authenticity of the code. These bits were too attractive for the clients from alien chains and led to the self-forking, so they were cutted off even in the original client. |

I check the nodes from time to time, and if the node 2 times in a row is not online or the port #4242 is closed, than it gets the warning. Is there any kind of shorter time limit on Cryptopia transfers? Like will Cryptopia block transfers at some point?

And what's the difference between 42d.exe and 42-qt.exe? Sorry, I'm a Mac guy.
42d - is a console version (daemon), 42-qt - is a GUI version (usual wallet). |

When I download the new wallet, what do I need to chose for Windows? bdb or leveldb? I don't understand these words. I am starting from scratch with a new wallet on a new computer.
I will send the old wallet.dat later, because I cannot sync on my old computer.
Any advice guys? Bdb is more stable and recommended in case of frequent power failure on systems with HDD, leveldb is little bit faster and perfect for systems with SSD. |

Network is back to the normal condition.For the PoW miners: If you are not able to provide the constant hashrate at any difficulty and any time, better do not mine!im kinda confused? i thought staking is protected from hash attacks?? am I wrong?
You're right, but only if the network has grown enough and has the sufficient weight. For us it is ~2-3 month more, and before that, we depend on PoW.
