Run your wallet and get paid for it!

In order to stimulate the growth of the 42 network, I am going to make the "Nodes Ranking System" with small reward for participants:

Newbie >24hrs online
Jr.Supporter >7d online
Supporter >1m online
Full Supporter >3m online - $3/m
Node >6m online - $5/m
Full Node >12m online - $7/m
Supreme Node >18m online - $9/m

We will pay from the community fund. The first 7 participants who reach the rank Full Supporter will get paid. To participate you should notify me your IP-address and keep port #4242 opened for incoming connections. Users with the dynamic IP-address should report me every IP-address change. The rank "Full Node" and the "Supreme Node" is only available to users with the static IP-address. If the participant will get 7 warnings per period for the node being offline, than his rank will be lowered, instead of the next lowering user will be disqualified.

42 blockexplorer is back to normal. Thanks to the fast response and collaboration of fairglu the display of the anonymous transactions was fixed.

42-coin anonymity. No masternodes or mixing services!

Bob address : 4EM7aKoAGYxttL6JvBw55TUQijBkvxG4hQ - regular
Bill address  : 4JMguigQVRWGkbLbwcrwKsjbnh59wABZcK - regular
Jane address: 4SMSi3mM3qXrhrxZBsg9bDaEy25jg9beWQ - regular
Alice address: 5GRTXNUUReCYv3ZXzp9V8Wn1R6WXCAQDRmdxiVtvB7St9TovUt1kSAyU3Czkty7abJY9K9uqjQHLXpg 8mv3MuH9G77NueFzmdXA - anonymous

1. Bob sent 0.10000002 to Alice: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/42/tx.dws?554d74fd95762a4c98cf66a2ee50bfa4e1711cbff942fa8fa67b545cd447e1d3
Bill sent 0.09999998 to Alice: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/42/tx.dws?d7bb9fcc549553bad1f8f811ff8f803db4009146bf49558b1b152d57e1150d34

For the outside observer these two transactions seem unrelated and he can not determine the address of the receiver (Alice).

2. Alice sent 0.09999996 to someone anon. address: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/42/tx.dws?c7d5a440a1adfccca82e5e21ded3ca80d0860e6b334806aaff4c9f764aacc409

The outside observer can not determine either the sender address, nor the receiver's address.

3. Someone from the anon. address sent 0.09999994 to Jane: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/42/tx.dws?86bfc0ee8c8bedb58e20701b9f1acba6692a1112e9f36b5d9741abd9f778c2b2

Neither Jane nor an outside observer can not determine the sender's address.

Note. PoS is not working for the long addresses.

IMHO the full official name should "42-coin" (https://github.com/42-coin/42), in order to leave behind the old names "42 Coin" and "42coin".

'-'(minus) always looks not great...
'42 coin' really better,
and it's recognized by people as an original coin,

you fix the original coin, you don't make the new one,
there is legion of new coins,
but 42 coin is valuable because it's old and memorable.

IMO, there is no big difference between "42 coin" and "42-coin", for most people it is the same. The more important is that it still "42".
And in our case minus is better than plus.  Grin

yes, minus is by all means better than plus in that case Smiley
still '42 coin' looks better than '42-coin' and '42' looks better than '42 coin'
in my opinion
also the original logo is memorable...

First, glad to see the coin is being revived with strong support. I have been following since just before the coding issue was discovered. That was disappointing (mainly because the exchange price took a huge hit  Tongue).

My 2-cents about stuff: I like the name as "42 coin". Also, I like the original logo but since the revival is adding a major change, a new logo is important.

Aside from that, I would like to be a supporting node. This is my IP: 73.211.90.130. The port should be open. Its a dynamic IP, but stable for many months (of course it could change any day now lol). But I have a question about offline warnings. How much time offline counts as a warning? I have nearly 24/7 up-time, but sometimes I need to restart my computer.

Further, I have coins to swap. But since reading about the swap I am mining 42 again. I will need to wait in order to meet the minimum for the swap. I expect to request a swap around Dec 28. I may have some in Cryptopia. Is there any kind of shorter time limit on Cryptopia transfers? Like will Cryptopia block transfers at some point?

When I download the new wallet, what do I need to chose for Windows? bdb or leveldb? I don't understand these words. I am starting from scratch with a new wallet on a new computer.

I will send the old wallet.dat later, because I cannot sync on my old computer.

We experience a hashrate attack on the network. If you want to participate in the securing of 42 network, please contact me.

Network is back to the normal condition.

For the PoW miners: If you are not able to provide the constant hashrate at any difficulty and any time, better do not mine!

You're right, but only if the network has grown enough and has the sufficient weight. For us it is ~2-3 month more, and before that, we depend on PoW.

Bdb is more stable and recommended in case of frequent power failure on systems with HDD, leveldb is little bit faster and perfect for systems with SSD.
