I think you shouldn't feel disappointed because Juventus could get 1 point at least. With this draw result, Inter Milan also gets 1 point. So, there is no change in the position and no change in the point gap. In the match today, Juventus seems to be more defensive, they used 5 defenders. Meanwhile Inter Milan played more offensive, they used more midfielders. According to this tactic, we actually can assume that Inter Milan has a bigger chance to win because they play offensively. So, get 1 point isn't a bad thing for Juventus. They are lucky that there are no more goals made by Inter players. In the second half, I think Inter Milan dominated the match.
Getting one point from this match is not best result for both but it is not too bad for them. They did not lose directly to a biggest competitor in this season for Scudetto and more important, this defeat does not make their gaps with clubs like AC Milan and Napoli, other clubs in top four become too much more closely. They still have good gaps with two clubs behind and it is good for their dual race to Scudetto.

Napoli seems to have big challenge from other clubs to have a position in top four. Now they only have 3 points more than AS Roma that stands at the fifth position. Not too far behind are Atalanta and Fiorentina and Napoli must feel serious about their main target in this season. It will help them to use their player resource better. Champions League or Serie A, what they want to prioritize their player resource for is important for rest of this season.

This forum was hacked for three times and the last time was 2015, I think it's already secure since we haven't suffer any hack anymore in the last 8 years.
theymos customized the forum a lot from initial source code of SMF software to add more customized features for Bitcointalk users but more important, to secure the forum software more.

Because the forum software is considered as very secured now, any change will need to be considered very carefully.

None of these ideas are new to me. Even if I don't respond to suggestions, I do read them, and they float around in my mind going forward. If it's not already done, then there's some reason why. A big possible reason is that I'm the only person who does development on the current code, and my time is limited. Another big reason is that this is a huge forum with complex dynamics, and even small policy changes can have big effects which need to be thought through very carefully.

643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 26, 2023, 10:48:52 AM
Manchester City was very ambitious to win this match, Guardiola tried to direct his men to continue to pressure Liverpool, a number of attack attempts by Manchester City were unable to break down Liverpool's defense which resulted in the match ending in a draw. Losing two points meant Manchester City had to drop to second place because in another match Arsenal managed to get an additional three points at Brentford headquarters. This time Klopp managed to stop Manchester City by stealing one point at the Etihad Stadium. This result met Klopp's initial target because he realized that it was very difficult to win at Manchester City's headquarters.
Manchester City dominated that match and they created many opportunities to have more than one goal. At the end, unfortunately they only got one goal from Haaland and also got a conceded goal. Liverpool did not have a good match but they successfully to exit the match with one point.

Both teams did not want to lose points from the match because they know clubs behind like Arsenal can win their matches and take over a first two positions from Manchester City and Liverpool. This draw is not a good result they want but at least they did not lose it and their players will not have any shock from a big defeat. Manchester City and Liverpool are still strongest teams in Premier League and they will continue the race to get Premier League trophy.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Closing Central Bank is Non-negotiable says pro-bitcoin Argentina Pres Milei on: November 26, 2023, 10:37:28 AM
Central banks can not control inflation of their fiat currencies but they are not only entities are responsible for a national economic. It is very naive to think that shutting down a current central bank will help to solve something big in the nation. Argentina as a nation and in the globalization world, will have to work, cooperate with other nations too.

They can not stay outside the common format of the world and of national central bank. It's non-negotiable, and I don't say it is a joke, but there will be many challenge to execute it as well as get acceptance from IMF. It can not be a measure from a single nation to wipe out all national debt, it won't be allowed.
645  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop loss ? on: November 25, 2023, 03:31:56 AM
how do you use a stoploss
You can use Stop loss order but there is a better order, Stop limit order.

One of best weapons in trading: Stop loss order
Stop loss order: make sure you use it

What is a stop limit order?
Stop limit order: What it is and why investors use it?

Above are general documents to understand about those order types but how to use it, you have to read guide of an exchange you are using. Each exchange has its own user interface and you have to be familiar with it as well as how to use trading order types on that exchange.

647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: November 24, 2023, 03:38:02 PM
Al Taawoun has surprised everyone with their performance so far in this season of the Saudi Professional League. But at the same time, they lost their last match, against Al Hilal. Anyway, they were the underdogs in that match and went down 2-0 as Aleksandar Mitrović and Mohamed Kanno scored the goals for Al Hilal. The match against Al Riyadh (in less than one hour from now) represents a good chance for them to make a comeback and cement their position as the no.4 ranked team in the points table. Riyadh is one of the weakest team, and they are currently 14th in the points table.
Al Taawoun is an underdog and their defeat against Al Hilal is not something like a shock as Al Hilal is a biggest and most successful club in Saudi Arabia. In this season Al Hilal have many star players too and they are one of strongest competitors for the league title. Al Taawoun if want to take the league trophy, will have to beat Al Hilal and some other big clubs in Saudi Professional League.

With their resource, I don't expect they can beat Al Hilal or Al Nassr in direct matches. They have to try to collect as many points from non big clubs in the league and in direct matches against big clubs, they can aim at draws as best results they can do.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 24, 2023, 03:32:28 PM
Gavi is just 19th years old with starting his career and having injury like this is surely frustrated with rest of the season is already ended mean things can go from bad to worse for this wonder kid, but it's all about game we can't prevent these from happening, but it's surely needed to settle things before joining again because few players having injuries throughout their career even few lost their bright careers as well.

ACL injury is surely serious problem and Barcelona is surely feeling heat with this as well because as all soccer fans know these injuries can bring big holes in players career because it's never been easy to handle this all, but we can hope best for the Gavi as he will recover, and we will have him in game in coming years for long time.
Gavi is a young player and in theory, he still has a long career ahead but will his career last long or will it be short, it will depends on many things. Injuries are what no player want to have and sometimes they can not avoid injuries. However, a smart player will try to adapt his own playing style to reduce risk of injuries as much as possible.

Arjen Robben is a good example that a sensitive player with injuries can change himself to be stronger physically and change his playing style to avoid injuries and expand his career longer. Gavi is a player with very bad playing style as he does not proactively avoid dangerous physical fightings and it's what Gavi must spend time to think deeply with his current injury and a long time for recovery progress.
649  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet of Satoshi vanishes from Apple and Google’s US app stores on: November 24, 2023, 03:23:28 PM
Bitcoin (BTC) Lightning payments app Wallet of Satoshi (WoS) has disappeared from Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store in the United States
Honestly I never know about that wallet but first I have to admit that I did not use Lightning Network and maybe because of this, I don't know about Wallet of Satoshi.

Assume I don't know about the wallet, its name is something I don't like, Wallet of Satoshi, sorry what?

Lightning Network is an off chain solution and it is not what Satoshi Nakamoto built initially for Bitcoin so Wallet of Satoshi is like using Satoshi Nakamoto reputation to make noise for that wallet. If the wallet is good, it can use its own name and don't have to rely on Satoshi Nakamoto in its name.
650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What you need to know about trading on: November 23, 2023, 02:18:14 AM
Most traders and investors are inpatient they only think of the positive side of it ( making profit) not knowing there will always be a loss someday
What a trader does not have for their trading career is they have to think of loss, risk of getting loss before thinking of getting profit.

Protect their capital first before thinking of profit. Without a good risk management to protect their initial capital, they will gain nothing in trading career that is risky enough to destroy their capital.

They have to learn two basic order types that are helpful to protect their capital by reducing loss: stop loss, stop limit orders.
One of best weapons in trading: Stop loss order
Stop limit order
651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 23, 2023, 01:03:18 AM
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia the player of Napoli is the most important thing they have and I think Napoli knows Khvicha Kvaratskhelia had a huge effect on this team. Napoli is obviously trying to keep Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for a longer time but the contract of this player is going to end in 2027.
Recently the agent of this player said Aurelio De Laurentiis is a good man and he is man of his word and it seems they are waiting for an offer from Aurelio De Laurentiis.

He is important for Napoli in attacking system but it seems his performance in this season is not as good as the past season. It's understandable as he was an unknown player before the past season when he sudden shined as one of brightest star players in Serie A. In a second half of past season, his performance decreased a bit that probably because defenders in Serie A already understood more about his playing style. This season is more difficult for him when clubs and defenders in Serie A had more time to find ways to control him.

Napoli is not a club that has habit of keeping their star players for too long. They will sell star players at expensive costs that can help them to fill their pocket and make their club's balance sheet looks better and healthier financially.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 23, 2023, 12:59:11 AM
Yeah I agree that many people do not expect that Girona can take place at the top of the standings even without a star player but I don't agree if it's called just luck
They worked hard to achieve it and they deserve to have this achievement from their efforts. I can not forget that years ago, Leicester City with Claudio Ranieri as a coach and nearly no star player in their club, surprisingly won Premier League.

Girona now are in a similar situation and position like Leicester City but I recall in that season, Leicester City did not have very excellent start and did not make too much noise like Girona now, they only rose up on the table since mid of that season. Girona now are under a very big pressure with their super start in the season.

Quote
the fact is that Girona is the team that scored the most so far with 31 goals this means they can rival the club that has a star player a little weakness of Girona is in the defense if they have a strong defense then there is a possibility they will win the title this season.
If they have strong attack system, they can win big in one or few matches but they can not win the league without a strong defense. If they have strong defense and acceptable attacking system, they will destroy the league and take the crown.

A biggest challenge for Girona is their player resource is not too deep so it will make troubles for them in a long season. Their team performance depends mainly on main players they have in the squad. Their performance will be affected a lot if they have to use so many alternative players because main players get injuries and are unable to play.
653  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: unnecessarily quoting by members of the forum. on: November 23, 2023, 12:51:55 AM
Over-quoting is definitely a bad habit of some users who either out of laziness or ignorance of how to cut out unnecessary quotations create such posts. I've seen cases where to read a reply in such posts you have to scroll almost half a page. I will not speak for other moderators, but if anyone comes across posts that quote five or more users in the sections of the forum where I am a moderator, you can send reports on such posts. You can also report posts that quote huge chunks of text or huge pictures.
It is a bad habit with good posters because they don't feel good by themselves when over-quote like this. Assume I am a good poster, I will pick a point to quote and discuss that point. If I over quote, I will struggle myself that what point I am discussing and surely readers will have more difficulty to find what I am discussing.

But it is a good habit for shit posters because it saves their time. Over quoting is one of things to recognize shit posters.
654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Largest crypto exchange CEO arrested! Anyone getting deja vu? on: November 22, 2023, 01:20:51 AM
reading through the court docs. part of the deal/plea/settlement was binance to release CZ of his CEO title. and put in compliance officers for the next 3 years. so this is not banning binance from operating. its settling the legality of operating unlicenced and setting them up to be in compliance
They are going to be like BitMEX, will continue their operation after paying penalty fees to the US. authorities.

This is still a shock to Binance and they will certainly lose users to other exchanges and will struggle to get it back. It will take a lot of time for them to regain customers who leave their exchanges.

However I always believe in "What can not kill you, make you stronger". It can be applied for Binance too if they can go through this hard time, the hardest time in history of their exchange.

you don't think he should have to do jail time? those are very serious things. someone shouldn't be able to just pay their way out of time in the joint like that. sad to see...
We will have to wait till February when the sentence on him is announced to know about that.
655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an overachiever on: November 22, 2023, 01:15:29 AM
I still wouldn’t say Bitcoin has over archived.
I would say, Bitcoin has got just the value meant for it being so limited in quantity to serve the world population. As a limited supply that it is, it’s just got to amass itself a good enough price to spread the value to its least denomination in other to attain its purpose as, not a currency for the very few but, for all the world’s people.
It is not true to say Bitcoin achieves anything. It is a tool created by Satoshi Nakamoto to serve human. Human are the ones achieve something from Bitcoin, not Bitcoin achieves anything by and for itself.

Is it true to say gold achieves something from its history? I don't think it is a correct and reasonable statement so I believe the same can be applied for Bitcoin.

Quote
Investors having yo salvage the opportunity in light of the development and continued growth of the currency are doing so with a foresight of what it’s got to be and waiting on the sidelines just wondering when and where to get in would be some means of not doing yourself a lot of good. Maybe you have your eyes in some other commodities and business/investment opportunities but, if you’ve got hopes of using Bitcoin some day, you could as well start building a portfolio right about now.
Investors have to know about risk and have proper risk management for their investment, their Bitcoin storage from wallets they choose to use, how they back up their wallets and how they will surely be able to recover their wallets from backups.

Without good knowledge about wallets, backups, recovery and proper risk management, investment can turn to be a nightmare.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 21, 2023, 03:01:26 AM
As per official statement by barcelona here

Quote
“Tests carried out on Monday morning on the first team player Gavi have shown that he has a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and an associated injury to the lateral meniscus. The player will have surgery in the coming days after which a new medical update will be released. Gavi was injured on international duty for Spain in the final game of the team's European Championship qualifying group against Georgia. The Barca midfielder was forced off after just 26 minutes of the encounter.”
https://www.goal.com/en/lists/worst-case-injury-scenario-gavi-barcelona-confirm-midfielder-tore-acl-spain-surgery-knee/

Barcelona was not giving a club how long needed by him to recover from his injury but the club said that if he is likely going out for months. Probably till the end of season (my prediction). It sounds bad for gavi but not for barcelona caused by there are also some players are starting to recover from their injured. Gavi will be missing so many matches. Probably he will comeback next season to play in the club again. this is a bad news for gavi. Unexpected injury that happened to him.
It is not a good news for Gavi and Barcelona and hopefully he will recover well from the injury and will return as strong as he used to be. I really hope that Gavi will use his time for recovery to think of his playing style. Many times, he played too dangerously for himself and if he wants his career won't be shortened by his dangerous playing style, he must change it. A smart player must know how to protect his body to avoid unnecessary physical clashes with opponent players that potentially cause serious injuries which can terminate his career immediately.

With this type of injury, if Gavi has to go through a medical surgery, he will need many months to come back and this season will be nearly ended for him.
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Argentina Be The Next El Salvador To Accept Bitcoin As Legal Tender? on: November 21, 2023, 01:35:50 AM
He never said that he's planning to make it a legal tender, but there's a good chance that he will, giving his extreme political views. Or maybe he'll find another way to make it easier to use Bitcoin for the population, starting with lowering the regulations on Bitcoin and lowering or even removing taxes. I'm sure that he will do at least something for Bitcoin, and that's already good news even for those who aren't from Argentina, because it will boost the price, especially now that the market will soon turn bullish and all the positive news will get amplified.
He did not say he will make Bitcoin legal tender in Argentina but we can not prohibit people to think about it. They love Bitcoin legal tender and Market makers can use this Argentina President Election and their new Elected President, to shill Bitcoin Legal tender again.

There are two countries in which Bitcoin is legal tender so far.

Legal tender countries are El Salvador (a first nation made it), and Central African Republic (a second nation made it). The interesting information from that website is Argentina does not have a top position from community votes for a next Bitcoin legal tendered nation. They are in middle of the vote result table.
658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what and which are custodial and non custodial wallets. on: November 21, 2023, 01:31:25 AM
A noncustodial wallet is the opposite, it is an open source and only you have your keys, you are your own bank and you are in charge of the security of your wallet.
Not all non-custodial wallets are open source!

It is best if you choose a non-custodial, open source wallet to store your bitcoin or cryptocurrencies but as I am correcting you, not all non custodial wallets are open source.

Examples of non custodial wallets, but not open source wallets are
Atomic wallet
Exodus wallet
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: November 21, 2023, 12:41:47 AM
I agree with you on that. It was a clear penalty for Ukraine there. Because as far as I can see there is a contact with Mudryk's foot. I don't know how they still continue to make mistakes in the presence of VAR technology. If they examined the incident in detail they were going to realize that the final decision should have been the opposite.

Maybe Ukraine could have eliminated Italy there but a bad decision brought their end instead.  Sad  I can't say Italy were great in terms of performance here but I must admit that Chiesa and Donnarumma were really impressive.
VAR reduces mistakes from referees but there are decisions with VAR supports are still mistakes. We have to wonder that those mistakes are intentionally made by referees on behalf of some orders of people who are at higher positions.

I see that should be a penalty for Ukraine but the match ended, it's irreversible for the match result and Ukraine have to move on, aim at future tournaments. The match is very balancing so a draw result is fair for both without the penalty rejection drama.

Italy after missing two continuous World Cup 2018 and 2022, will have a chance to play in Euro 2024 to defend the title they won in Euro 2021 (hosted in 2021 because of pandemic).
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 21, 2023, 12:29:09 AM
Haaland was nothing without someone who was having capability to supply him with the ball. I just try to make you aware that if haaland is not that good caused by he is a typical of striker that was on tap specialist. He is not that good in dribbling or finding the ball by himself.
Haaland was a perfect when it was about positioning and one tap skill but this guy is still lack of confidence when it comes to getting the ball and try to dribble by himself. There will be no perfect striker. Haaland is having some specialized but he is still having some weakness as well.
Haaland is a type of traditional striker and he is similar to Christian Vieri or Luca Toni. Those Italian strikers are very tall and strong like Haaland but they are not types of strikers who can self create chances to find goals for themselves. They need to receive good key passes from his team mates to make shots and have goals. They also contribute very limited to a tactical operation of the team and have them in your squad means you will have goals if those strikers have excellent matches or no goals and like play with 10 players if they have bad matches.

Quote
Alvarez is going to play as a striker once haaland was injured.
Alvarez is different than Haaland and he can play at different positions in an attacking system. He also has good free kick skills too and I believe Alvarez can play at a forward position too. He is very similar to Lautaro Martinez who if you knew well, played as a forward behind Romelu Lukaku in Inter Milan four seasons ago.

Quote
Manchester city is having some players that can play in the some roles. Pep just needs to rotate it and it will be helping the club a lot.
Manchester city has some more players were injured. Pep must think to rotate the available players. Manchester city needs also try to make sure there will be no player who is going to be injured again.
Manchester City even can play without a striker so if both Haaland and Alvarez can not play because of injuries, Pep and Manchester City will have alternative solutions for their attacking. They will not be affected too much if those strikers are missing by injuries.
