O Guedes trabalhou a vida inteira no mercado financeiro, todo o mercado financeiro brasileiro apoia ele.

"Imprimir dinheiro é ruim, se for o Lula é bom"

https://www.dw.com/pt-br/a-rixa-de-lula-e-campos-neto-e-a-autonomia-do-banco-central/a-64668271

Curiosamente, a B3 fez o caminho inverso.

643  Other / Meta / Re: Can the Admins sent a mass voting PM to know when did people find out about BTC? on: March 31, 2024, 08:58:49 PM
About 4th halving countdown and your stories on when did you heard about bitcoin. I was thinking for this upcoming halving, can bitcoin talk send a mass emailer or a vote option to all registered users to gauge when did they first heard about bitcoin?

You can basically take a look at when the user registered. He probably create an account a few months after getting really interested or invested in bitcoin.  No need to send emails or messages..

But you can message particular users and ask them to answer in your topic.

We are having technical problems with the coingecko API. They want to sell their paid plan...

I am working on it, I  will come back here with more information once I fix it!
How much coingecko is asking for there paid plan? We can contribute since we using and getting benefit from this tool.

Good luck bitmover. Looking forward for the fix. It's a good tool and fun to play with.

I agree with you MusaPk. .sometimes it might be worth it to get some kind of a reliable service, especially since the tool that bitmover made has ended up being quite powerful for those who have figured out some uses for it.. and it might not even be very available in other places on the web.... at least not so far.. even though I am pretty sure that bitmover and I are tending towards promoting and advocating open-sourcedness.

So yeah there might be some utility in seeking out free services, yet at the same time, there might be some preferences to just bite the bullet.. and subscribe to something reliable.. but yeah, I don't claim to be any kind of an expert and even some of the paid services might have their own trickiness and/or their questionable value-add aspects.

I think that for now the free plan can take care about what we need.

The plans are quite expensive

https://www.coingecko.com/en/api/pricing

The cheapest one is $ 129 per month.

I think it is more fittable for services different than ours. Maybe exchanges or something like that? Portals?

https://criptada.substack.com/p/2-transacoes-organizadas-e-distribuidas?r=iywnt&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&triedRedirect=true

O processo do proof-of-work (encontrar o nonce para gerar novo bloco) é continuo.

Hello JayJuanGee,

You may have noticed the page is broken. I was getting data from coingecko, and they decided to close their API.

Code:
{
    "error": {
        "status": {
            "timestamp": "2024-03-28T00:23:30.584+00:00",
            "error_code": 10012,
            "error_message": "Your request exceeds the allowed time range. Public API users are limited to querying historical data within the past 365 days. Upgrade to a paid plan to enjoy full historical data access: https://www.coingecko.com/en/api/pricing. "
        }
    }
}

I will look somewhere else for a free bitcoin price data API...  maybe someone has a good suggestion? Maybe binance (this is probably the easiest choice, BTC USDT data from binance)

I have stored locally price data from 2010 to 2021  Grin

Tool is back online.

I was able to continue using coingecko.

As coingecko allow up to 365 days of historical data in their free plan, and as historical data is static, I just downloaded all historical data.

I also made a small code to check for changes in the last days of their free api plan. So, it will theoretically update our downloaded historical data once a day. Looks to be perfect. let's see in the next days if it updates well!

Yeah.. sorry about that.  Bitmover is working on it, and hoping to get it resolved soon... perhaps within the coming days..

Bitmover provided a status update in this post from yesterday.

Edit: Upon further reading of the posts of the thread, I see that bitmover already responded to address this matter..

Hey, I was able to continue using coingecko API. Website is working again. I will give more details about how I managed to do it in the Withdrawal Strategy ANN

Website is working again!

Yeah, CF blocked most bad traffic as far as I can see.
However,  it blocked Feebudy (which is a bot lol).

I've been monitoring your total bandwidth for the last few days, it seems you have a bit more traffic compared to before the attack, but within tolerable limits. These days I also noticed that many sites are under similar pressures.

I don't have much experience with more advanced CloudFlare settings, but have you tried adding some exceptions, for FeeBuddy for example? I saw that in Security>>WAF there is an option to add custom rules to protect API and known bots from malicious traffic.
Missing FeeBuddy  Wink

Yeah, I am close to 13k visitors per month. Incredible number!! Never expected to reach that

I miss fee buddy too. The point is that I am working in other projects too. I have a broken api in withdrawal strategy as well (coingecko decide to move to a paid plan model)... I will fix it and then I will see what I can do for feebuddy. I added some protection against bots, which is probably blocking him

You still have to figure it out, and you have to figure out how to use the tool to your advantage. I surely am not recommending guys start to use the tool when they have not stacked enough sats and when they have not over accumulated BTC.  So guys have to come to a kind of over accumulation status when they start to use either the basic aspects of the selling portion of the tool and especially if they are going to use the selling in advance portions of the tool... A guy could end up selling way too many BTC too soon if he does not even have enough BTC in the first place.

Yes. .I noticed that I was getting spinning beachballs, and I was hoping that it was merely a temporary glitch.. and maybe there is a certain rotation that happens with the data sources from time to time... and too bad about these kinds of set backs when the data was showing a lot of informative dynamics that so far are not very capturable in other locations.

Website maintenance  takes some effort. Ddos and broken API in less than a month!

I discovered some free api here:
https://blog.rmotr.com/top-5-free-apis-to-access-historical-cryptocurrencies-data-2438adc8b62

I will take a look and setup one this week!

1) Send some real BTC to that address and then move all the real BTC with the dust off to a new address.
There's no need to send Bitcoin to the old address. Bitcoin can be moved without any of the Forks replaying the transaction.

Are you sure? I was under the impression that even now 6 years later that TXs involving only pre-forked coins can still move the coins on the other chains.

Didn't pay that much attention then and still don't but I thought the forks did not implement replay protection which was causing issues.

-Dave

Only bch and bsv doesn't have replay protection, afaik. This is the only fork that I know of that you need to split your coins first
You can read about it here

Me passa o ref, vou dar uma olhada..
