I am aware that UTXO, which includes an input script and an output script, is the foundation of a bitcoin transaction. However, I recently discovered that Bitcoin Explorer lists source addresses for transactions. I wonder if the source address indicated there is the same as the one in the output script from the previous transaction, which also serves as the input script for this transaction.
Yes it is. In good block explorers such as mempool.space you can see individual utxo in every transaction, and the address associated with it. The lack of a reference price for Bitcoin is what makes this site popular. If you want to trade outside exchange, there is no reference price for bitcoin. I can give you three prices for Bitcoin: - Google 27,511.40 USD
- CoinMarketCap 27,499.46 USD
- Coingecko: 27,507.41 USD
they simply took a service as a reference which is Preev.com, and people continued to do that, which made it popular. Coinmarketcap.com and coingecko are not the same as preev. They are good reference prices. Those services provide a bitcoin price based on the price of list of major exchanges, weighted by their volume. Preev doesn't do that. It may be getting the price from binance only, or coingecko or whatever. I understand that people use it as a reference price, but I personally don't understand why ... |

1) bitmover developed a good website with multiple options, but it is not a simple price tracking tool with a short URL and a simple interface just like it was in Preev.com. 2) The site owner talked about updates to the UI, so the site is not currently working as a simple tool for displaying the price of Bitcoin. Thanks for mentioning The idea was to have multiple fiat currencies and all bitcoin units, not as simple as preev I don't get how preev got só many access. Usually when I need to know btc price I just write BTC USD in Google or any other Google search. |

I don't think that is bad, neither that it wasn't predicted long ago Hal Finney mentioned banks coming to bitcoin long ago, acting as a second layer Actually there is a very good reason for Bitcoin-backed banks to exist, issuing their own digital cash currency, redeemable for bitcoins. Bitcoin itself cannot scale to have every single financial transaction in the world be broadcast to everyone and included in the block chain. There needs to be a secondary level of payment systems which is lighter weight and more efficient. Likewise, the time needed for Bitcoin transactions to finalize will be impractical for medium to large value purchases.
Bitcoin backed banks will solve these problems. They can work like banks did before nationalization of currency. Different banks can have different policies, some more aggressive, some more conservative. Some would be fractional reserve while others may be 100% Bitcoin backed. Interest rates may vary. Cash from some banks may trade at a discount to that from others.
George Selgin has worked out the theory of competitive free banking in detail, and he argues that such a system would be stable, inflation resistant and self-regulating.
I believe this will be the ultimate fate of Bitcoin, to be the "high-powered money" that serves as a reserve currency for banks that issue their own digital cash. Most Bitcoin transactions will occur between banks, to settle net transfers. Bitcoin transactions by private individuals will be as rare as... well, as Bitcoin based purchases are today.

Acho que ao explicar sobre criptomoedas para uma pessoa, você deve ser capaz de explicar pq elas são úteis pra você.
Não adianta falar em permitionless se você não se importa com isso é só quer pegar a próxima que fizer um pump e vender. Se for isso explique isso pra pessoa.
Pra mim, a facilidade de transacionar pra qq lugar (borderless), de forma barata e quase instantânea, são fundamentais.
O dono ser quem tem a chave privada tb é muito importante pra mim. Vejo o bitcoin até como um seguro contra imprevistos que possam acontecer na vida. É um dinheiro que ninguém pode pegar sem minha autorização

All countries have a huge debt. Most of them will just roll over their debt, I e., renew the loan (getting more loan to pay the incoming ones) The interest rates will have to go down some time and everything will be back to normal imo |

Pra mim uma das melhores coisas do Bitcoin comparado ao sistema tradicional é a ausência de limite diário de saques/transferências. Eu por exemplo digamos ter 20 mil reais e querer sacar em espécie pra agora eu não consigo, preciso pedir a instituição para poder movimentar MEU PRÓPRIO dinheiro, essa falta de liquidez por conta de burocracias é uma das coisas mais chatas do sistema normal.
E também a liberdade de carregar todo o patrimônio pra qualquer lugar do mundo sem precisar dar satisfação a ninguém.
Você pode numa boa movimentar indo pessoalmente fazer uma transferência ou com o limite adequado digitalmente. Agora, em espécie é complicado. Vc quer algo físico que você não tem né. Acho q o mais interessante do bitcoin é o permitionless. Não precisa pedir nem avisar ngm q vc vai transferir. |

Mas no caso do satoshi ele foi o pioneiro de tudo né? Ele tinha que minerar porque se não fosse ele a rede nem começava  Não acho que se ele vendesse algumas das moedas seria como exit scam porque o Bitcoin não depende em nada dele, tomou uma proporção que pode caminhar com as próprias pernas. Logicamente vai dar uma movimentada geral no cenário mas acho que geraria só um impacto inicial e depois seguia a vida. Bitcoin não tem nada de pre mined e pouquíssimos paralelos podem ser feitos com relação ao ETH. Antes do Ethereum ser lançado, o Vitalik se posou praticamente como um CEO de um Startup e fez um ICO, pedindo dinheiro de investidores, para ele manter o projeto e lançar. Foi inclusive direcionado alguns ETH pra ele como pagamento por fazer o projeto. Nessa brincadeira ele arrecadou 18 milhoes de USD, enquanto o Satoshi fez tudo com zero investimento externo. Essa história da Fiat estar apodrecendo é bobagem. Existem muitos mecanismos para nos protegermos disso, e como usar esses mecanismos está gratuitamente disponível na Internet. Além disso, sempre foi assim, desde o império romano já existia inflação, mas não existiam NTNB, por exemplo.

I think that merit is not be part of WO people but sharing merits on enjoyable every moment, likely some think is different but more time passed in WO enjoy, fun, discussion & sharing knowledge.
You are right WO is a different place... it's true many new comers come to the party to get some "easy" merits but they fade away pretty soon. All those names you mention no doubt are the show runners but forgot you to mention one name which is ruling the party now............... it's ChartBuddy I remember some years ago, back in 2018, I was desperate thinking about panic selling in a bottom. I was losing some money. some colleagues from WO gang advised me not to sell and I was able to hold on more calmly. I am very thankful for WO thread, and I always read the comments from time to time. |

Mais uma tópico de: "Saudades do que não vivi". Essa frase do Neymar é clássica para os "Millennials". Há uns tempos atrás, estava conversando com uma amiga a respeito de um assunto que tem tudo a ver com o tópico. Minha amiga me dizia que o filho não conseguia passar no vestibular. O pior, não era num vestibular de uma faculdade de primeira linha e sim numa Uniesquina da vida. Ela me dizia que no nosso tempo era mais fácil. Somos contemporâneos. Daí eu recordei a ela, que no nosso tempo existia apenas cinco grandes Universidades no Estado de São Paulo e era muitíssimo difícil passar em qualquer uma delas. Daí ela se calou e concordou comigo.
Nos dias atuais não tem nem comparação com o passado. Como sou um dos mais velhos por aqui, acredito que tenho propriedade no que digo.
Hoje em dia as coisas são bem mais fáceis em qualquer área. Essa história de nós tempos de nossos avôs era bem mais fácil comprar uma casa não é muito verdadeira. Dependendo do lugar, os imóveis sempre foram caros. Não era qualquer um que comprava uma casa, um carro, um telefone, uma televisão, etc, etc.
Então, não se atenha muito a esses detalhes.
Eu tb acho isso. Acredito que por aqui metade deve ser milenial e metade gen z. A gen z passou por uma crise ruim bem na hora de começar a trabalhar, mas é uma geração que cresceu achando bonito se fazer de vítima (culpa da mídia e dos tempos em q vivemos..) |
