That is the trouble cryptodance.
The Mac wallet has not been updated since the early fork that changed the staking rules, and so any stake you produce will be rejected by the network. If you can compile your own for Mac from source, you are good to go. If not, then you really need to look at running your wallet on some alternative system (Win, Linux or Android) for the time being, until an updated Mac wallet is posted.

Yeah, I fully agree terms of price manipulation, it is everywhere, but in the mean time there are less and less naive people can be tricked into fake volume hypes like what this XAI P&D was. Be happy with the profit you have realized, but this is not a sustainable business model at all. 500 BTC volume was very common 6 months ago, these days 50 BTC volume is massive which clearly indicates investors are greatly disillusioned with the P&D hypes and scams of altcoin market.
There are people pumping something, all the time. There are people fudding something, all the time. This is precisely why I've advised caution on this thread, numerous times, when large swings occurred followed by a flooding of HYPE or FUD. However, I find it incorrect to be characterizing the project as a P&D on the (potential) actions of some speculation/trading group. Terms of the market cap and the value of XAI, firstly, how can it be undervalued if the current value was achieved with P&D in the first place? Secondly, yeah, there are perhaps some good tech and an honest DEV behind the coin, but that doesn't make the coin a valuable asset. It can be valuable if the coin is used for real life use cases. 99.9% of the alts including well established coins like NXT is completely worthless. Apart from day traders, speculators and P&D scammers absolutely no one use altcoins coins for real life use cases. Not even DOGE, BC, VRC none of the alts is used in the real world, and therefore assigning a value to a coin (in this case XAI) prior it is actually used for something is just a speculative exercise.
I can't agree with your conclusions about past value achievements. You are ignoring the number of coins in existence, ignoring the crowd fund valuation, ignoring the absence of competing projects, ignoring the real use case presented by Sapience/XAI. You are solely focusing on the market activity, turning your observations into "fact", and drawing all of your conclusions from there. There is a real use case for Sapience/XAI, and it's been known from day one. Granted, development hasn't reach a state of maturity or functionality yet that completely realizes that use case, but progress has been very well received and tested by those of us running testnet nodes or sample applications. In a year time all altcoins except a few which are useful will be gone. It remains to be seen whether XAI will be one of the useful remaining alt coins. If the DEV is serious then it could be, who knows? If yes, then it will obviously have some value, but currently this IPO/ICO vaporware is just a speculative, day trading toy without any real long term value.
Sort of agree. Yes, until the use case is fulfilled with real world applications and a sense of demand is established, any valuation attempt is speculative. Again, looking by market cap and by the relative position of Sapience/XAI against a few other coins out there - particularly the lot of which that have no use case at all - I speculate that XAI is severely undervalued. |

I most definitely agree that price manipulation sucks and would be much happier if it didn't ever happen. Unfortunately, it does look like price manipulation is everywhere. Someone recently stated that crypto currencies are 90% speculation, and 10% utility value (or something like that), and with any speculative asset, there will be bad actors, trying to lure in the credulous ones to take whatever funds they have from them. That said, I had some pretty good flips trading Sapience/XAI (though most of mine are staking), and ended up with more XAI and more BTC than I started with. If there was some fake volume going on, it was most certainly not all of it.  As for value, it's a tough call. Everyone will have their own estimation of value, and as it was briefly debated much earlier in this thread, there is certainly no "magic formula" to determine what's the right value for any altcoin today. However, with an active community, constant development progress and promising technology, I can't help but compare the overall market cap against that of other altcoins, and conclude that Sapience/XAI is undervalued right now. Not happening. If you're still clueless after reading the instructions, here's another suggestion, this one anyone can do: Move all of your funds back into the exchange in one go. Once all of your XQN is sitting on the exchange, withdraw your coins back to your wallet, but in small chunks at a time. So if you have 10,000 coins there, make for example 10x withdrawals of 1,000 coins each. All set. I think this will be the 3rd time I quote myself as people don't seem even care to read back or search the thread... Staking is working absolutely fine. The network is highly competitive, thus stake difficulty is high, and if you do not have any basic understanding of how input optimization is achieved, you will be losing out on a lot of potential rewards, and you have no one to blame but yourself.  I can help over a chat session at Freenode IRC #quotient. If you don't normally use IRC, here's a direct link...Here are instructions on how to split blocks for those unfamiliar with the process: To split coin blocks, you need to enable the coin control features (wallet > settings > options > display > display coin control features). Then select one block at a time, and send it to yourself, adding your (same) address as the 'custom change address'. Manual block selection is achieved by opening send > inputs, and picking the desired block from the expanded list.
So say you start by selecting a 1000 XQN block. You then send yourself a transaction of 500 XQN, but specifying the change address as your own as well. Once you hit send, you will be splitting that 1000 XQN block into 2x 500, a primary transaction, plus change, back to your original address. Rinse and repeat as many times as necessary.

Do try and optimize your inputs, by having blocks sized around ~600 to ~1200 coins each (there's instructions on this a few pages back if you need them). For the current level of competition on the network, don't expect to stake at anywhere close to 16 hours though, most times it will take quite a bit longer.

what does min coin age 16 hours mean?
It means that 16 hours after your coins landed on your wallet, they are eligible to stake. Once they have staked, and another 16 hours have elapsed, they are eligible to stake again. And so on, and so forth...  Note: most times it takes longer to stake them, perhaps 24 to 36 hours would be the average for ~600 to ~1200 sized blocks (or, ahem, UTXOs). Luck plays a big part in how quick you earn each stake. Happy Staking! |

We have had plenty of FUD at this stage, as well as an equal dose of HYPE. Shall we quickly do a P&D check? - Coin specifications transparent, no surprises in the code - Development is very much active (just had a staking wallet for android released...) - Long term roadmap progresses, tied to dependencies w/sister project, Sapience/XAI Do not confuse the radical swings of speculators, to the nature of the project. The coin is serious, and has delivered proof of that numerous times already. Now the speculators on the other hand, in my book, not so serious... I'm certain that there are a lot of people with a stake on XQN, some with long term objectives, others just looking for a quick flip. |

Personally, I am hodling my Sapience/XAI, so I will not be tempted to put any up for sale, but those looking to move coins around or take advantage of the exchange rate swings, should definitely raise some buy/sell orders @ Poloniex. Those that have not ever used Polo yet, do try it out, the trading interface is light years ahead of Bittrex, plus, there's a night mode for the night owl types. |

Please try to stay on topic and factual. There were various incorrect statements in both technical and economical nature over the past few days. Goes without saying, but I'll say it anyhow: Exercise Caution!
Disclaimer: I am a XQN & XAI holder. I believe & hope that XQN will continue to increase in value. My motivations are mostly related to the technical background of the coin, and the work that I so far have seen from the developer. The only thing that worries me, is the incessant back and forth of both FUD & HYPE.

I tried staking 10k of my XQN. I received 16 XQN in 5 days.... I dont know how i would ever reach this percentage of one thousand sixhundred + percent...
How you would reach that percentage, or at least get closer, is by having for example those 10K XQN, divided into 50 UTXOs (or blocks) of 200 XQN. Then, though still depending largely on luck, I bet that you will stake a lot more than 16 XQN in 5 days... Personally, I would aim for block sizes no smaller than 600 XQN. So does having multiple addresses compared to a single one effect the percentage of staking?
There is no effect on stake % or stake variance to having one or many addresses. All that matters is the number of inputs, their size, and their age. |
