   6 connections, syncing now.  Cheesy
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MaryJanecoin the Digital Secured Currency Backed By Cannabis MARYJ on: May 29, 2015, 12:41:38 PM

Is anyone connected with the original wallet?  I'm only getting one connection, and it's only loading to block 2081 then stops.  Thought maybe it was the level of the wallet, re-downloaded the wallet from the OP and it's the same as the one I'm trying.  Tried connecting to the node given a few posts back, but same thing.  Anyone have a node that is up to date with the original blockchain?

194.135.90.5

try this node for the original wallet it should be good

https://bitnodes.net/node/194-135-90-5/

That node I am trying to setup!

Do you see my signature? Smiley

Anyhow, just received another MARYJ crowd funding fulfilment, so as this is second MARYJ node at BitNodes community will get third for free.

EDIT: Blockchain explorer will be up when the network sync.

K, i'll send you a PM, let's get these nodes up so people can start moving coins again Smiley
Status of MaryJanecoin   https://bitnodes.net/node/194-135-90-5/ Wink

We have no connections. Please give us some working nodes to connect.

Tnx.

EDIT: I tried all nodes I found here in thread but not one is working.

EDIT: Also tried to see in local wallet but it also has no connections.

Stop trying to connect with the wallet that is out right now, wait until we finish and release the final product

And you wonder why I'm confused and asking questions.  What wallet would you like us to connect with? the original?  The one post a few weeks ago? Another one?
644  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Update: dead HYIP, Refund progress: BTC-arbs still doing refunds on: May 28, 2015, 07:02:58 PM
I've still only received 0.05BTC out of 2BTC. Let's get it in gear.
how much withdraws did you already receive? do they pay you regularly or it was just one big payment? im really glad that i didnt invest in it when everyone did that as they were paying for some time

It was 2 payments of 0.02 and 0.03
did you get any more payments from then? im curious how they get money to pay such payments

The story goes, that he is still arbing BTC between exchanges to pay the investors.

I have not followed BTC for awhile, but I think it's been pretty stagnant lately.  That might explain the delay in any payments.
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MaryJanecoin the Digital Secured Currency Backed By Cannabis MARYJ on: May 27, 2015, 02:19:09 AM

I have been posting/releasing news as they happen, and I've been doing so much more frequently than weekly. More like tri-weekly. We are working with Crestington to make the new wallet, as well as a couple others to compare them all against each other. I'm not going to update the OP every week (sorry), but once we have decided on our wallet we will update everything accordingly. As for the wallet, that is not our final choice. I am expecting Crestingtons wallet to take the cake. But like I said we have two others developing a wallet so its not in stone until we compare them all. I'll keep everyone updated. If you have any concerns/questions always feel free to message me, but don't expect me to answer every single question. I don't plan on answering any questions that can be answered with 10 minutes of reading.

    Jahvinci,

Believe me I follow this thread.  Once you got into mining for the coin, and things blew up I lost interest in that part.  I've been sitting on the side lines waiting for everything to settle down.

I got burned on another coin because I didn't speak up.  Just making sure it doesn't happen again.    OK, I'll wait patiently for an update.  I've been holding quite a bit of Mary Jane almost since day1.

I think better if Adam answer for your questions this more correctly.

When was the last time he ever quoted anyones question and answered directly ? He only comes and writes what he wants (not saying it's bad) and then goes away.
There should be some PR manager or whatever to communicate with every member and answer each and every of their questions and try to directly help people(faster the better).

People need to get and have faith in MJ and it's Devs. "We are working on it" type of messages is not always enough. People like to see roadmaps, direct pictured plans with photos, videos etc... I hope I am thinking straight...

My question is: When are we going to have a working Wallet on Bittrex ?

If you want roadmaps, lots of shiny graphics, and people waiting on you day and night to answer your questions, then sell your coins and get out. I am not opposed to a road map and shiny graphics but we will release it when we put it together. And we will do that on our own time, whenever we feel it to be the right time. Also, I usually always answer any question that I haven't already answered 500 times. If you aren't aware, Adam has a Facebook page, which he regularly updates with videos. If you want to fund a 24 hour service line to answer previously answered questions be my guest  Kiss

    Jahvinci,

There have been a lot of others trying to help and offering their advice and input and their understandings of what is happening.  I believe your now the official voice of Mary Jane coin, So if you could just give us a brief update at least once a week, that would help.

Don't answer if you are not sure.  Saying the wallet will be available in a week, and then not have it happen is more confusing then just saying we're still working on it.   I was lead to believe, my understanding of this thread, that there were several wallets all floating around in various states.

What is the wallet that was posted earlier.  Is that going to be the official wallet.  I believe it was you that said to download it and test it out.

How about putting the latest status in the op (original post #1) so we can look there for the official status instead of having to ask.  Sorry if this has been gone over before.

So what is the official status?  There was a wallet released for testing, is that still the case?  Can you make a section in the op with the latest official news?  Sometimes the chatter in the thread gets overwhelming, and I'm afraid I'll miss something.

Are we going to be using the original block chain, or will there be a coin swap?

                     Thanks for the hard work.

Our programmers are working on testing a new wallet and correct the old wallet. Meanwhile, Adam is working on distribution and teaches people how to use a coin. That's all the news for now.

Dararel,
Thanks.  So for now, is any wallet actually working?  "testing a new wallet and correct the old wallet"  So will the old and new, work on the same blockchain?  Is the "new" wallet, the one posted a few weeks back?  I'm just trying to make sure I don't miss anything.
647  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBot (Martingale, Labouchere) for Just-Dice, PRC, 999dice and safedice on: May 26, 2015, 09:06:00 PM

Build12 is working fantastic on JD....   Very few hangs, and all of the ones I've seen have been from my side.  The bot thinks it sent the bet, but it got lost internally and never makes it to JD.  That's a lot easier to correct (just do the bet manually).  And that only happened a few times when I had ill behaving wallet clients running.  It now runs for hours and hours, where in the past I was luck to get 2 hours straight, and usually around 20-30 minutes.

The only question is about clam price if it will be stable without doubt it is a great invest

Buying CLAM seems to be like buying Just Dice shares. The problem is that we don't know how many CLAMS will be claimed in the future, making them worth less.

First you can type getinfo on the console in the clam QT wallet to get the active supply.

Currently there are 690K active.  Those are dug up, and staked clams that are in circulation.
The total potential money supply is currently  15,147K

Now you know how many clams could be claimed, so are they now worth something?

By your logic (not knowing the true money supply) all crypto is worthless.

Sorry, but maybe I took your comment wrong.  If you meant worth less then something else, and not worthless, as in having no value.  I apologize..

As with anything in the world, clams are worth "what someone is willing to pay for them".

Thank you. I wonder how many more CLAMS will be claimed. Staked ones come from the non claimed supply, are they created from nowhere or how does it work?

Worth less, a lower amount, not nothing.

Clams are POS (proof of stake) So to keep the network moving Wallets that have clams are able to stake those clams for stake rewards.  Each time a block is found a 1 clam reward is given to the finder.  Also the finder gets any fees from the found block.  The more clams you have the better the chance to stake, and get the reward.  So the staked clams are actually just part of the coins inflation.  1440 per day are created (1 minute block times).  This is a lot less then most coins.

What was the MaryJane ID? I remember a few people talking about it and that they really liked that part of the original wallet.

It was a way to create a custom ID, almost like a vanity address, but with the address hidden.  Should have made it easier to send and receive.

IE. I could have made JohnnyWalker and people could send MaryJ to that ID.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake on: May 15, 2015, 08:47:01 PM
Quick question.  For staking purposes, would it be better to have all outputs tied to one address, or does it not matter.  What if you had 100 clams divided into 4 clam outputs.  so 25 outputs all tied to one address, or 25 different addresses.

It doesn't matter at all.

Staking works on outputs, not addresses.

I'm getting myself more and more confused.  Since the odds of staking are based the number of coins.  Some where that has to tie in.  Are larger outputs more likely to stake then smaller output?  I would guess yes?  But I could be wrong.  If that's the case then making my output's larger should give them more of a chance to stake more regularly.

Conversely,  if all outputs are equal then more output's equals more of a chance to stake.  So I could divide the output's up into smaller unit's assuming I have enough CPU power to hash them all.

My staking is all over the board.  From 1 per day to 10 and everything in between.  This is with 2.1K in my wallet.

Bot stopped working.  Using build11 on Just-dice.  Bot hung as usual.  When I tried to get it going again, the bot seems to not be getting any replies from JD.  I tried a few manual bets from the bot, and a few on the JD website, nothing got it going again.  I tried shutting it down and restarting, and then rebooted the PC and started fresh, still no go.

As an aside, I filled in my userid/password in the autologon panel.  I saved it, and it shows up when I look at the setting panel, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
when I first start the bot, I get my JD site stats including balance, as if I'm logged in, but the bottom status bar on the bot says I'm disconnected the login panel is blank, and the login button is active.    Also the manual betting is inactive.  All buttons are greyed out.

Are there any files that save any kind of state that might be a problem.  Something I can delete?

In programmer mode, I can see that my program is getting control to init stuff prior to the dobet function.  The ninitial bet is placed, based on the JD website, but the dobet function is not called with the results.

I added the original new thread to my watchlist..  I look at this stuff at least 3-4 times a day.

I understand your post just fine. if you look at this stuff 3-4 times a day since the 20th of April, surely you would have noticed the swap before now. 10k was being bumped constantly and so was the TEETH thread. Maybe you should have asked questions in the thread you were following, maybe you should have done like a lot of other people and been proactive sending your coins to BTCPool.Exchange where they were going to be swapped. Your upset, fine but you have to take some responsibility..

I don't follow 10K, thought I was following the correct teeth thread.  Don't look at the main stuff in bitcoin talk, so things can bump all day and I would never see them.

What question would I ask?  Whats happening with the exchange?  Since nothing was ever posted I don't feel it is up to me to pester developers every day, I'm happy to wait until things get sorted out.  In fact I think senseless questions are half the problem, with btct threads.  They tend to make things harder to follow.

I think my biggest gripe is the hard cut off for swapping coins.  It just doesn't sound very customer oriented.  What if I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and missed the exchange?

I take responsibility in so far as what I can change.  If I can get at least one person to wake up to what happened, then I've done my part.

If you can't keep people properly updated, you shouldn't be expecting them to know everything.

I knew here was an exchange coming.
I knew spots was banded from btct - thus the exchange could have been delayed.
I thought I was following the correct new thread.

In hind sight there are a ton of things I could have done.

But..  This would have been a non-issue if they
a) didn't switch the teeth thread.
b) clearly announced the switch (of threads) in the main Balls thread and or the original teeth thread (both would have been best)
c) announced the swap in all of the coin threads (I followed balls and MMXIV).

For those of you too busy to read through the threads, and missed the swaps,  I strongly suggest you take 10 seconds and go to my site www.bitcoinlasvegas.net and on the very first page on the left it says "Subscribe to Blog via Email". Simply type your email in there and click on subscribe. DONE! I do NOT sell anything, you will NEVER get spam or useless crap, ONLY quality info in your mailbox such as a new coin release, a new wallet release, coin swaps, and anything else that matters, within the hour it happens! I sift through the garbage pile here a few hours everyday , so you dont have to, and post about 1% of the information that I deem worthy and useful. This is ONLY useful information you can use. You will then get an email, so you dont have to sift through the landfill with me. Take a look and youll see its ALL quality information, thats very easy to read, and its right to the point without added crap.

You also notice every single thing that Spots has done including coin releases,Wallet updates and coin swaps, is ALL on the site all the way back to MMXIV and balls and 10k.

Vegas

Done, and thanks for offering this service.

On April 19th 2015 This was posted in the Snowballs thread... looks like you didnt pay attention....

We're gonna move all future discussion related to both 10k and BALLS to the future GorillaTeeth thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1032348

I guess you didn't understand my rant.  That post originally pointed to
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1032287.0

It was later changed to point to
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1032348

I agree that BTCT probably alerted me that there was an update to a thread I am following.
But when I looked at it and the only thing changed is a link, I could have very easily assumed BTC was just showing me garbage and ignored it.

When the post was changed it should have been clearly updated to say this is a new link.
I think spots made the change on the fly and assumed no one knew about the original link.   Not the case.  Once you hit post you have to assume someone is going to see it.

I added the original new thread to my watchlist..  I look at this stuff at least 3-4 times a day.

So now it's too late to get Bucks?  Where was there even info on it?

It had its own thread, but was mostly on GorillaStake.com/gorillabucks and on my Twitter (@PurePoS)

http://gorillastake.com/media.html
Has nothing about the swap starting.  Last update was 10K and Balls merging block chains soon.

I can't use Twitter.  So I use BitCointalk.

This is what happened to me.

I was following Balls in the original Balls Thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=843495

The last post at some point pointed to the NEW gorillaTeeth thread Here.

[ANN] GorillaTeeth [TEETH] | Merged Blockchain of 10k and BALLS | GorillaEx Soon
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1032287.0

This started off talking about the new teeth coin, and then just seemed to stop being updated.  At some point Spots was banned and I figured we were just waiting for his return.  In the mean time a new thread was created and the original link was changed, nothing else was updated.  No warning that the thread was changed.  NOTHING...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1032348

Post 2 says it all.

"Sorry, messed up settings in the last thread. This is the one we'll use now"

This has all of the info.  To bad for me I was following the first thread.

There are 4 hugh problems here.
1) website media was never updated after the merge was announced.
2) New thread was never updated when focus was switching to a newer thread.
3) original thread was changed to point to a newer thread, but no indication was given.
I may have been notified by BCT that an updated was made, but if I looked at the thread it would have looked
exactly the same as before.  I would have had to click the link to the new thread to see it was different then the one I was following.
4) since this was effecting balls the original Balls thread should have been updated with a warning that the swap was happening.

I just happened to have MMXIV too, and learned the swap happened when that thread was updated.

WOW, does this piss me off.  If you can't do anything to make this right, I'll have to chalk it up to experience, remember who was in charge and try to avoid those situations in the future.

BALLS & 10K swap has already been done, if you missed it there is nothing that can be done btw both the BALLS & 10K wallets don't currently sync making your coins worthless anyway.

Nothing about the swap in any of the multiple threads.  The website still says the swap will occur soon.  Most threads are locked and can't be replied to.
And now your saying sorry your SOL.  Sounds like a great way to run a business...

This being the new all inclusuive thread should have had an announcement.

So now I see there was a new thread swapped into the mix.  I watched the old gorillateeth thread and never saw the new one.

if you missed that swap its on you. sorry.
i missed updates and shit before to but this swap as far as heads up goes was idiot proof.

I can tell you exactly how I missed the swap.  I was following the balls thread.  Spots announced a new thread for all further discussion.  I started following that thread.  He made a mistake opening the thread, wrong attributes or something.  and just swapped in a new thread.  So I'm just following a dead thread with no updates.

Website that was supposed to be used for updates was never updated.

So way to many places for information, and nothing being kept in sync.  I guess I'm out for now.  Sad
