641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is nobody talking about BitBay? on: March 23, 2017, 02:51:47 AM
It has sky rocketed in the last few days and seems to promise some revolutionary features.
http://bitbay.market/
Bitpay is new altcoins the traders will not invest in new altcoins although the price goes up, because sometime it can be scam coin, if bitbay can be entry in big ten on coinmarketcap.com will many traders talking about bitbay and trade bitbay, even bitbay has revolution features will not be interest if it just has a little capitalization.
642  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is trading *not* gambling? on: March 22, 2017, 02:35:28 AM
altcoin market have more volatile , no wonder it is hard to predicted right ,
bigger risk too when you want to trade on an altcoin that have a high volatile level ,
doesn't matter about the value , the risk and the way trading to earn profit are almost just same as gambling,
can not really distinguish between both .
Yes, many people here are just comparing trading with gambling, but I too agree that altcoin trading is nothing but gambling and bitcoin trading is not all the times a gambling. Trading an altcoin until it gets established must be a gambling, this way also bitcoin is an established commodity, we can trade it securely.
Yes trading altcoins will be gambling, if the traders doesn't has rules in trading altcoins ( some people calling system trading and trading plan) the rules of trading are like: when they must be entry in market open positions buy or sell, when exit market had got profit even stop lost if the markets be against their analysis, everything are clear what must be done on every condition of market.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: Bitcoin Hardfork or Segwit Softfork on: March 22, 2017, 02:14:20 AM
What would be the best option to keep Bitcoins legitimacy?

1) Bitcoin Unlimited (Hardfork)
2) Segwit Approach (Softfork)
3) Create a better plan
4) Do nothing

I choose create a better plan than bitcoin unlimited or segwit, bitcoin unlimited will makes confuse for new users who want buy bitcoin, it will makes two comunity of bitcoin, bitcoin core and bitcoin unlimited the impact will to bitcoin price and the activation of segwit still not be happening because the miners won't it, so should create better plan although it will not be easy.
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: March 21, 2017, 02:40:54 AM
Dogecoin is an inflationary coin. While it may have a stable price and be very useful in micro-transaction, it is unlikely to attract speculative investors. So the price is not likely to take off.

Yes. Its current supply would render it difficult to increase in value, at any point in time. Despite the facts, Dogecoin will continue to be used to introduce people into cryptocurrency. Being an extremely inexpensive coin, anyone can get into it, and start sending/receiving micropayments.

Because of its nature, it can be easily implemented into games for kids of all ages to play and earn Dogecoin. That is why, in my eyes, Dogecoin will be one of the best altcoins worth using for almost anything you like.

Nevertheless, I hope that Dogecoin would remain alive for years to come, even if no development is made into it. Just sharing my thoughts.  Smiley
Yea, yea and dogecoin is still alive until today because still there is values in dogecoin although it is just couples satoshi on exchangers altcoins, we will be worrying if dogecoin's price become one satoshi, it is dangerous for the future of dogecoin its self, if the altcoins become one satoshi it will be die but it is just my opinions saw the past altcoins on exchangers.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: March 21, 2017, 01:34:55 AM
Every person in this world would want to benefit from everything that they do, it's always for profit, not generalizing everybody but still, if you would play and has the chance to win, then that's great. Win win if ever you win always.
Yup, everything about looking for profit, at least for kinds of gambling game that can be analyzed like sports gambling also depend on the skill of gamblers to analysis in gambling game and not all of gamblers can do right analysis, but personality I just play gambling just for fun with a little betting like dice gambling and I don't use large money just for fun.

647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies to complement fiat currencies? on: March 20, 2017, 10:09:31 AM
Hi!

I'm looking for the most suitable cryptocurrencies for making payments, namely those that could be used as an own currency and could complement or replace weak (and/or not functioning) ones in emerging markets. I'm making a study for the academic world, and will use a financial approach rather than a technical one. However, I'd love to get some help to decide which cryptocurrencies to include, as i'm not even close to know as much about the technicalities as you guys do.

I'd like to include approximately five cryptocurrencies in my study. Hence, not all of them need to be perfect but rather to be less worse (when used as a currency).

I'll consider issues such as scalability, transaction speed, inflation rate etc, but I won't care much about decentralization, anonymity or other things that don't affect the suitability as a complement to emerging market currencies. However, all arguments are valid (...to some extent). Market Cap isn't necessarily a problem because I just wanna know if you in theory could use it as a currency.

Lastly, please don't mention too new cryptocurrencies. I need to have some historical data and if the cryptocurrency is created after 2014, it could be a problem. All arguments would be much appreciated and i'm looking forward to learn from you!

Thanks! Grin

Well I think litecoin is suitable for your study if you are looking for altcoins be created before 2014
and litecoin has historical for your study you can search the detail informations about litecoin
on announcement section bitcointalk also you can joint to new litecoin's forum https://litecointalk.io
the comunity of litecoin will answer your question.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs ETH vs Dash? on: March 20, 2017, 09:10:48 AM
indeed transaction eth no 15 seconds, and this is also the advantage of eth, and I am very satisfied eth with the transaction , and also developher provide smartcontrac. while bitcoin prefers mutual benefit with the system confirmed the miner.
Also ethereum has good fundamental are like many projects be builded on ethereum blockchain,
it different with bitcoin blockchain, we can not build application on it, smart contract is new innovations in digital coins has chance become more growing up, so do with ethereum's price will more goes up it is good too, for trading altcoins in ethereum to bitcoin.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sooo...which one of you is selling BTC to buy ETH? on: March 20, 2017, 09:03:13 AM
I always buy and sell ETH almost one years ago, I trading altcoins in ETH to bitcoin
and will trade in it because ETH has good movement of price with ETH could made profit daily,
ETH is good for put our money in ethereum, it is good for short term investments (trading altcoins)
also good for long term investments (investors) because ethereum has good fundamental
for example many projects related with ethereum, so ethereum's price always increasing.
650  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is no longer a currency on: March 19, 2017, 03:36:31 PM
https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2013/04/bitcoin-is-no-longer-a-currency/274859/

An article from The Atlantic magazine - from 2013, way back in 2013 - declaring that bitcoin is not a currency, but "the ultimate tech stock"!

The four years since the article was written has proven that bitcoin is akin to an Amazon or Facebook (stock, not company), and much less "Pets.com". That's a good thing.

I have to agree with them. Every week that passes without a new company in any local metropolitan area deciding to accept bitcoin as currency is a two weeks further away from bitcoin actually being adopted, mainstream, as a currency.

Bitcoin is an investment. A stock or an asset class/commodity can be debated, although it doesn't much matter. Bitcoin is a store of value not a medium of exchange.

What do you think?
I think yes bitcoin is like stock without dividen and movement of bitcoin price is like stock,
at least analysis technical darvas box worked for me when trading bitcoin to fiat currency
bitcoin is no currency because there is bug block size of bitcoin that take high fees sending bitcoin,
so bitcoin can not be considered as currency at least for today.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 19, 2017, 03:19:13 PM
Is there any ETH light wallet out there?

You can use an online wallet https://www.myetherwallet.com , which has the full functionality of a regular wallet.
Yes also we can use jaxx.io for wallet ethereum on our Smartphone not only ethereum we can save bitcoin, dashcoin, zcash, augur, litecoin, it is easy be used and simple, I have used jaxx.io on android, I don't find any problem on there.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best innovative new altcoin I should buy? on: March 19, 2017, 12:36:18 PM
Hello,

I'm looking for recent innovative alt-coins that I want to make a large investment in.

-It has to have a unique innovation or feature of some sort.

-A good community is a plus but not required.

Tell me the coins in the comments!

Thanks.
Ethereum is still new altcoin and it has unique innovations too, many projects be builded on ethereum network
Include business of gambling game you can see vdice.io dice gambling be builded on ethereum network also there are many projects on ethereum network you can see on announcement thread of ethereum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=428589.13220 and price of ethereum goes up I think it is good for investments on ethereum, but you must always there are risk in investments so becareful when make investments on digital coins. Good luck
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much money do you invest in alt coins? on: March 19, 2017, 06:28:20 AM
im wondering how much do you guys invest in alt coins and how many different alts do you have?
Well I make investments into altcoins around $1000 (I am ready losing money in trading altcoins just for $1000) in bitcoin then they become capital in trading altcoins on poloniex, i don't put $1000 in one coin there are some coins be traded are like dashcoin, monero, litecoin, ethereum and other coins that has large volume transaction daily, weekly and monthly for the ref I use marketcap.com
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What exactly is the purpose of altcoins? on: March 19, 2017, 06:17:19 AM
I see that some altcoins, particularly Ether and Dash, are surging in value. But I have to ask, what is the purpose of them? Just holding value?

Bitcoin at least has been used as an actual currency, with people taking it as payment and some businesses even accepting it (both online and brick-and-mortar). But I have yet to see any "Ether Accepted Here!" or "Now Accepting Dash!" signs anywhere.

So what is driving the value of these coins? Are they more like precious metals, simply being a store of value rather than being like typical fiat currencies?

Thanks.
Ethereum be made for build smart contract on ethereum network and fixing what there are not in bitcoin, so do with dashcoin, bitcoin accepted on stores after couples years later and it needs time until it happen, so do with dashcoin and ethereum they are new altcoins in the world maybe 2 or 3 years later ethereum and dashcoin be accepted on stores right now they must be increase the price before be accepted.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet for Altcoins on: March 18, 2017, 04:37:07 AM
Hi!

Which wallet do you suggest i use if i want to buy altcoins like Stratis, MAID, Eth, Decred?

Thanks!

Well I think you can use https://jaxx.io for ETH, litecoin, dashcoin, zcash, ETC and bitcoin, I have used  this service couples month ago and everything went fine there are not problem be found, unfortunately the altcoins are like stratis, maid, and decred doesn't be supported by jaxx.io but you can use official wallet from developers for them.
656  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Utilize Your Bitcoins on: March 18, 2017, 04:29:40 AM
I want to share with you guys some methods how all of you (except those who are using these methods) can benefit from your Bitcoin holdings. But please have in mind that trading is always risky and it requires knowledge and sophisticated approach. If you know and understand your responsability, you can give a try. Myself, I have profits trading on these platforms.

http://focusposcus.blogspot.com/2017/01/how-to-utilize-your-bitcoins.html

Happy trading and big profits!
Yes, trading is high risk and trading is unpredictible job, I have saw the blog on there, there are method for trading, unfortunately it must be tested because I am not sure this way suitable for me and for all of people on here, basiccally we must have trading rules can give profit consistent and not big profit, but good Jobs and thanks for share.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like the DASH party is over. on: March 17, 2017, 03:46:38 AM
You guys are forgetting that when the alpha for Evolution is open to the public that the Dash price will skyrocket.. That being said. Buy some Dash(what you can afford to lose) but, don't put all your eggs in one basket.
I agree with you don't put all of eggs in one basket, basiccally dashcoin, altcoins include bitcoin are place investments, it will gives income also it will makes losing money in investments, so in investments we need management of risk to anticipate bad condition include dashcoin's price going down.
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Ripple not getting pumped like every other coin at the moment? on: March 16, 2017, 03:36:44 PM
Because there are not new investors who invest in ripple with large of money
movement ripple's price be driven by traders on markets and I don't see innovations
updating from the developers of ripple that make ripple coin more interisting for new investors
for example should the developers goes to remittance business on every countries
and make cooperation with local business related remittance.

660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't worry if Ethereum dumps below 30$ Keep Holding Everything Is Ok on: March 16, 2017, 03:15:46 PM
Everything is ok, just keep holding, you will become millionaire i promise.
Well I don't think so, ethereum is instrument of investments, it can make our money increase also it will makes losing money, so everything depend on the strategy investing for example, the traders will be cut lost if the trend of ethereum down, wait until sideaway then they will buy back if the coinditions of price starts good for entry in market.
