641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can It Really Happen? on: June 11, 2017, 07:44:37 AM
Maybe Satoshi has some kind of a masterplan:
He is waiting for a bitcoin to be worth over one hundred thousand dollars, will sell then and solve some major problems of mankind with the fortune he owns then.
But personally I think there is no satoshi anymore. Maybe he died in an acident, or he just lost his keys.
However, I am convinced that his coins will never enter the market again.
642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? on: June 03, 2017, 03:24:25 PM
Do you think the richest families or personalities in the world would be interested in using bitcoins??
And if so, would that be a good thing for us small people or negative??
I mean rich people are capabale of so much things, so it makes me wonder..

I do not think that many very rich people use bitcoin.
I mean, what for? They already have enough money. Many of them are just enjoying their lives.
And those who work, they have companies to rule.
With bitcoin, there is not really much you can do besides trading.
I can not imagine any rich people trading bitcoins all day long.
643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to all the BTC that people lose the keys to? on: May 29, 2017, 08:34:33 AM
It is a very nice feature of bitcoin, that coins can get lost. At least I think that it is.
When the keys are lost, the coins are stuck in the wallet forever.
That means as well, they are not part of the supply anymore.
And a smaller supply increases the price.
That is something we all benefit from.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banned in Ecuador on: May 29, 2017, 08:04:41 AM

In 2014, all the cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin was banned by the government in Ecuador. This was followed by the introduction of the country’s own digital currency, the Dinero Electrónico.

However, defiant Bitcoin users still continued using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In fact, Bitcoin use in Ecuador has spiked due to the recent price rise.

Do you think that the Ecuador government will freely allow the use of Bitcoin as its popularity increases?

I think that Ecuador is kind of a special case.
They have no own national currency, they use the UD dollar.
So the people do not have to be afraid of rapid inflation.
A smart move would be to make profit of peoples use of bitcoin, because they will use it anyway. With or without the blessing of the government.
Maybe Ecuador overthinks the situation.
Especially when they look at the decresing economy there, they might come to the same conclusion and see bitcoin as an opportunity.

645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: May 29, 2017, 07:40:17 AM
Even some months ago bitcoin'a price was 600$ but it started to rise and everyone sees how it become 1300$, than 1-2 month ago we had a little fall and lowest price was 890$ but than it returned to it's 1200-1300 and continued to rise and rise and we see what we get in result, bitcoin's price is 2750$ currently. This is very high rise and what do you think guys, will we see fall from 2700 to 1000 or even to 600$ ? Can we to forget worries of price fall?
I think with the price and people who are supporting bitcoin the price fall below 2700usd is impossible because the people who are using bitcoin now is still growing that will be only possible if there's a 5digit holder of the bitcoin dump it's coin and after that I think the price will go up again.

Im still not convince for falling on that price since people are truly on the lose if they see some price falling down and some of those people are grabbing the oppurtunities to buy more bitcoins for staking and to earn for future pumps, And I don't See any bad fuds scattering right now so price would possibly pump later on these days for more.
In january this year bitcoin price was under 1000$.
From what I have heared, bitcoin got many new members since then, and most of them have bought some bitcoin.
But in future, if the growth declines and the number of newly bought bitcoins decreases, I think that it is possible that bitcoin  price goes back to a lower level.
There does not have to be a triggering event or bad news. The bitcoin hype might just ebb away for some time, before it starts again.
646  Economy / Economics / Re: Moment for buying or selling? on: May 25, 2017, 11:40:15 AM
It seems to me that now is not the time to buy. The price is already very high and there may soon be a decline. But if you buy bitcoin in order to store it for several years, then you can buy.

Buying bitcoin now is not a good idea, it looks creepy looking at bitcoin prices now I'm becoming worried about the future of bitcoin.
You can wait if you are scared that the prices may drop. In my opinion, you can buy Bitcoin anytime you want because I can ensure that Bitcoin will soon hit $10000 and $100000. Then, you will never have a chance to buy Bitcoin with the cheap price
Sure it is, bitcoin will hit $10,000 price per 1 bitcoin and it will continue to rise as long as there is continuous support for the bitcoin and also demand in the market. I also agree that it is good chance to buy bitcoin now because the price seems not falling down and it will go up to $10,000 up to the next year.
That is something I have recognized as well.
Along with bitcioin the altcoins go up. But they tend to fall back again every now and then.
Right now, the only direction bitcoin knows is up. If that should frighten me or fill me with incredible joy, I am not sure yet!
647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RANSOMWARE impact on: May 25, 2017, 11:32:45 AM
Highly visible shit like this, will be used by governments to regulate and/or outlaw crypto, and stops normal people from touching crypto

THIS IS VERY BAD  Sad

I would not be surprised if the recent -10% move is connected with Wannacry.

Nah. The price was (still is) overbought. It's normal to see the price drop if you take into consideration that people are cashing out, plus the fact that there is a poor level of buy support throughout the entire market at these levels. I personally don't give a single damn about the wave of ransomware infections, and others shouldn't too if they take care of their system security properly.

yea, but this ransomware spread is hitting government PC instance.
sure we, who aware such PC security won't take this issue serious, but imagine of a govn. instance with all public data got this on their server.
Well this is going to impact bitcoin of course, but i do not think that it will impact it too much. Those people who made it simply used the moment of bitcoin worth, and made some money out of it true criminal. But there will always be people who will use criminal act to make some money, and as always people will find a way to fight back so... its nothing to worry about. Bitcoin will survive Cheesy .
I think that in the last years nearly every government has made a statement on how they want to treat bitcoin.
I do not think that a software attack will make a change in the minds of governments.
Of course bitcoin, or other crypto currencies as well, they are perfect for using them as a way of ransom payment in such attacks.
On the other hand, many attacks are not based on ransom. Some are done because the programmer wants to show he can do it.
Others are led by governments. In these cases regulating/banning crypto currencies would bring nothing.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In the near future,... on: May 23, 2017, 03:14:25 PM
There are already people out there running around with their address as a QR-code tattoo.
Not a very smart thing to doo if you ask me.
Everybody who scans it knows something about your financial situaton.
Besides... it was one of the basic ideas of bitcoin that a wallet can not be connected to an individual easily.
Wallet tattoos would exactly create such a connection, in a very permanent way.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: May 21, 2017, 03:13:08 PM
That's really a strange thing. Bitcoin keeps on rising, but somehow the news does not spread. At least not into the non crypto world.
Most people around me know what a bitcoin is. I think I got that into their heads now. But not one person has tried to make a conversation about it with me.
Everybody is talking abput declining interests, banking fees and low income. So money in general seems to be a subject worth talking about.
That confuses me...
650  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell my stocks buy bitcoin... on: May 18, 2017, 08:46:48 AM
Well I still have my stocks and I will not sell them up for bitcoin. Bitcoin is a good opportunity for me to diversify my portfolio. But I will not go to extreme to sell my stocks and get bitcoin. I will just have them both in my portfolio, so that I can mitigate risk if something went haywire. Just like others here has mentioned a countless times, don't put all your eggs in one basket.  Smiley

Diversification is key, no matter how much u believe in any one stock, in bitcoin or altcoin there is always the potential for failure. Your strategy will give you good returns for very little risk.

This is good advise, anything other than a well balanced portfolio will be a gamble. I however do believe in bitcoin so I think the gamble as such is one where the chances are on my side. I understand I could lose a lot or even everything but I will take that chance in order to earn enough to improve my life.

I think as well that bitcoin is an opportunity. But i am not sure if it really takes its chance.
After all there are many things that still can go wrong with bitcoin. I would say more than what could go wrong with my stocks.
that's why I have a small investment in Bitcoin, but the majority is in my stck account.
651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin To Soon Reach $1700 on: May 11, 2017, 08:49:32 AM
I think bitcoin is still lacking from too few participants.
But the higher the price goes, the more attention it attrackts.
The more attracktion bitcoin has, the more participants it gets.
And there are really very much people out ther who have nothing to do with bitcoin, but would join us, if they just knew about it.
The way bitcoin has been moving the past few weeks is to me a result of attracting new members.
And it's taking up speed.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: May 11, 2017, 08:24:10 AM
Right now more and more countries are accepting bitcoin as a form of money.
Maybe the time has come where the most accurate explanation of what bitcoin is, is money.
Money, that has the characteristics that the longer you hold it, the more you can buy with it.
653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price overvalued? Price Today: $1,827 on: May 11, 2017, 08:20:42 AM
I can imagine that bitcoin price correlates to bitcoin acceptance.
When the acceptance goes up quickly in many countries, the price follows in a similar speed.
That can be a real explanation to what we are seeing these days.
And the price does not even have to drop back again necessarily.
The possibilities that come alonge with the acceptance will stay, so might the price.
654  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are bitcoins worth to become a career?? on: May 11, 2017, 07:40:57 AM
Bitcoin has a big potential.
And like with everything that has potential, you can build a careera around it.
But I think it's more difficult than in other fields.
There are no schools or universities that would teach you what bitcoin is, how it works and where you can benefit best from it.
With bitcoin, you must teach yourself. Not everybody has those capabilities.
655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australia moving forward on: May 11, 2017, 07:33:43 AM
Interesting how bitcoin is developing in the eyes of the public and the gouvernments.
It's really great to see how it turns from the black market currency to a widely even amongst authorities respected valuta.
I think this is one of the reasons why the price is entereing new heights these days.
656  Economy / Speculation / Re: is 2017 the new 2013? on: May 11, 2017, 07:29:35 AM
How many people were working with bitcoin in 2013?
Just a fraction of the number that we have today.
I think that the price we have today is reasonable because of the growth of the community, and the increased demand that came along with it.
2017 is 2017, not 2013.
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Been away some 10 days, what's up w/ price and SW vs. BU? on: May 09, 2017, 06:37:24 AM
It's pretty much the same to me.
Was not paying attention the last week, and today i look up coinmarketcap.com.... and bitcoin is above 1700$. And increasing. And all major alts decreasing.
It really seems like something draws the money away from the altcoins and back into bitcoin.
But since nobody has an immediate explanation for this, I suppose nothing dramatic has happened the past weeek in crypto world. Just business as usual.
658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC dominance decreasing. on: May 02, 2017, 07:24:14 AM
I don't see why the dominance should be an important feature.
Altcoins are traded amongst each other, but to me that is kind of a closed system. Because of that I still have the problem that I do not see by what they should be backed up.
Bitcoin has a connection to the industry because it can be used as payment, that is something I would consider to be important.
659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: May 02, 2017, 06:47:16 AM
I use blockchain wallets in most cases.
But there are many other online wallets as well I have already used.
I have to say that the amount of coins I own is not very high, but still, I have split it up into several wallets, just to be on the safe side.
When I decide to make a larger investment into btc, I think I will switch to a paper wallet.
660  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction - $1500 in 30 days - What do you think? on: May 02, 2017, 06:42:54 AM
Yep, at this pace, looks like OP's prediction is on its way with $1500 well in sight. The question is, with the inevitable ETF re-rejection coming May 15th, will we see a similar drop in price given we already pretty much know what the decision will be and then the question will be how long it will take for the price to correct back up over $1500 when it re-continues with the upward trend.

If bitcoin continues to climbe so quickly in price, we will see 1500$ in a few days, and maybe 100 more by the end of the month.
A little setback after that is inevitable in my eyes.
I just hope that the price will keep a little of its win from the last weeks, when the ralley cools off again.
