641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mom won 50,000$ in Lottery on: March 01, 2024, 03:08:17 PM
Lucky indeed! I'd be glad for her even as her child. But if this discussion boils down if I woud be demanding an amount from her, then personally I won't. What does a typical mom do with her money? Most of the time she just uses it wisely. And if she's one of the few who is a bit responsible with money, then as a child I wil just advice and give suggestions on where it should be used. There are also instances that she could be keeping it for herself and personal interest and eitherway I have no rights of it. Depends really on what kind of a person she is.
She realized after her son told her that the mother had completed the 10-word puzzle and this can be said to be an unexpected win who thought it was $5000 but in reality it was $50,000 who wouldn't be happy with the news of this win.

What is more admirable is that she is thinking about the future with her investment, I read the article a little touched because she consulted with investment finance so that she can use this fund well, after all she did not think of a party after this victory.

Most lotto winners might not think of investments; instead, they may focus on how to spend the money they won. This woman is smart, and she deserved to be lucky because she knows how to increase her money through investment. The fact that she consulted an expert clearly shows that she wants the money to not be wasted on the wrong investments. Good luck to her future; maybe she'll achieve more financial success through the winnings from the lottery. It's a good stepping stone for her, a wise choice of decision after the win.
Best eay to do with huge amount of money is to turn it to an investment to make its value bigger or to avoid just consuming all of it at once. Such opportunity won't come in a daily basis which is why we should really make use of it wisely. Indeed not all investments would be profitable but if it is a good one, then for sure it won't be an instant loss. Indeed, not all peope will do the same thing. There are those "one day millionaires" who would be recklessly spend all of it in a single da to buy the things that they want. And this is why financial literacy and self discipline is important.
642  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 01, 2024, 02:36:49 PM
If it is loan then yes, but if it is a debt without any papers or contract involved then it's a no and things will be settled through agreement. But this will fall under the term of debt and there's no need to specify gambling as an activity because in any form, debt is debt. There are also instances wherein loans are done through unregistered online loaning applications and in any aspect they cannot force the person in debt to pay them but they often send threats ( evident in my area but I'm not sure if same scheme exists with the others, also a different story or discussion).
The high rate of gamblers who take loan for gambling purposes is quite alarming, and most of them are fathers to kids. Most of them don't end up taking care of their debt before passing. What happens to the funds, when the lender comes for his money? It's quite a tough one for a person who isn't a gambler to inherit a trouble from a gambling dad. Such things also increase the anger of the society on gamblers, because the addicts are, also, good at extending their problem gambling to other close relatives. Could it be talked through in the law court?

There's no such thing as inheriting debt in the country where I live, when the loan taker dies, the debt or loan will automatically be paid off. This is also part of the law in our country, so lenders cannot sue loan takers. This law is very useful, especially for someone who leaves behind debts to their family.

This is evident only with properties bought through financing in my country, again it will always depend on the contract. Familiar with this law which for me is a bit unfair on their end. They could also sue "estafa" on the loan takers end  but amounts will not stil be paid in an instant. However, there are a few instances that a gambler dies upon taking a loan which is also another angle of this topic. In most instances, they suffer from the consequences lf their actions which is taking a loan and not being able to pay it before the due. Interest wil just become bigger as the time passes by, making it a bigger burden as well. This is why such action wil never be advisable.
643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports that you don’t watch but you keep placing bets on: February 29, 2024, 05:25:48 PM
Football. Well I'm not that familiar with the teams and I don't really play this sport on the actual unlike with boxing and basketball that most of us are aware of how things are going. For me, it is important to know how the game itself works 'coz in such way you'd be able to create a more organized analysis of what team or fighter is more likely to win. On my personal point of view, it is fine to bet with gambling games or teams in sportsbetting you are not that familiar with especially if you're just up with entertainment and not profit. If you are chasing for profit then it would be better to know things to check if you're being read on. The reason why I often bet in these games is to calibrate my luck with the games I actually play with.

I know that many prefer good odds instead of placing a bet on a sport they like. I find it wrong, as I doubt that anyone can be an expert at everything. Such betting might lead to missing good chances or loosing even shen choosing a favourite. I like mma and I mostly bet on there. But sometimes, when casinos offer good odds or a bonus, I look on and try to find luck in football, even though I barely watch the game.
Indeed odd is a factor. Sometimes if you are not familiar with things, then numbers are the main basis of your bettinf division. If it is a premium league then there'll be no need to remind the personnel. I really hope yhat you should be fine fo accept things.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How your feels? on: February 29, 2024, 02:55:46 PM
I want to know how it feels among those of you who gamble using altcoins or bitcoins, basically the crypto you are using today has increased significantly, we know that in 2022-2023 coins that are small are not so valuable, and how does it feel today? Is there a little regret or do you not care because the money you lose in gambling is a necessity for you, so you don't care about the crypto you have lost in gambling for the past two years?
I don't like regretting my past because I can do nothing to change it but using cryptocurrencies to gamble is more expensive. The money I lost these few weeks would have been appreciated if I kept them and didn't use them for gambling. However, evaluating how much I have lost these years would be incomplete without adding how much I have also won. These years I have lost and also won a good amount of money, so I have no regrets. Since I use an insignificant part of my income to gamble it is also possible that I might have also spent the money on other forms of entertainment, so I have not regret. I have plans for my savings, Investment, and gambling, therefore what I have spent on gambling is what has been budgeted, so no regret.
Having feelings of regret is a normal thing but indeed it won't mean a thing. If you have used it with gambling then you simply hope for that moment to win. If you are just after into holding then it is better to just focus with crypto investment. Betting has different expectancy than with investing. Imagine just holding it for a long period of time waiting for profit; that's not how things work in gambling. In gambling, there's an instant expactation of profit which I guess creates a difference with motives. If you are one who would regret the act of using your crypto holdings in gambling, then isn't it the same thing with spending some of your holdings to buy things that you want? That's simply utilizing things. You won't also have such feeling of regret at that time you consumed it in gambling. There's just this regret at the present 'coz you saw how much it is now worth. Same idea as well with early investors in particular with that one who paid a couple of Btc for a pizza, wherein at that time it was justifiable.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Future of Gambling on: February 29, 2024, 01:33:02 PM
No longer a surprise with technological advancement. We already saw it. Gambling before was only done thru peer to peer interaction, then casinos came, then there's online gambling a the present. If it is with VR technology then I can't say that this is not close to reality. There could be another changes as well as improved peer to peer betting, such as with esports among players. If it is just possibilities, then there's a lot to come for sure, also, advancement never stop; there could be more possible changes with this industry in general as we saw with web3.0 and crypto adoption.
Gambling is usually fun if you can win, gambling is usually winnable based on strategy and experience. I don't know if I am experienced now but I can win with this strategy that I use. I see a bright future in gambling as I am becoming more experienced. In the beginning I faced a lot of losses in gambling even now but only temporarily. One should not dream of gambling while lying on a soft bed, gambling usually requires a lot of experience.
You did not understand the question at all. OP is not asking people question about their future in gambling, he is asking people question about how there will be development in gambling industry and how gambling would be better than now in the future for gamblers to have better gambling experiences like the virtual reality and meta. I will like you to know that no matter how good you are in gambling, you should use not more than the amount of money that you can afford to lose to gamble.
You will never be good at gambling, you could just be good at managing your funds with the amount you bet and instances that you will. The idea of not betting an amount we can't afford losing is simply common to all of us. It is just hard to allow our emotions do the act of betting; frustration and greed. And if it is development concerning this aspect, I am guessing that there will be betting suggestions in the future as guide for the players depending on their bankroll or simply additional ways to remind gamblers not to bet that much.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Interviews] with sport gamblers on: February 28, 2024, 04:21:12 PM
It's been two years since I started gambling in web 3.0 but I was already playing gambling games since I was 16 years old, in many forms. In this forum section, I got to encounter topics I am interested with, when it comes on things related to gambling, new platforms, scam related activities. I do still play in Fiat based gambling sites especially with parlay betting in NBA which is a service rarely being offered with crypto based  sites.

I experienced winning a decent amount and I also experienced losing my 1 month salary in a single day because I was too greedy to make up with the loss. During such time, you'd be frustrated to continue playing despite of loss and likewise with whenever you are in profit that you would want more. Main thing is involvement of money, an enough drive to trigger our emotions. And if it is recommending this activity to non-gamblers, then I won't. If they are interested, allow them to see things for themselves. Allow them to have the initiative to engage and embrace risk.

Well if it is in this forum section, it is almost enough if you wonder how web 3.0 gambling works; site suggestions, things to avoid, strategies, game recommendations and such. The interaction between users do really help especially new ones in this industry.
647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: February 28, 2024, 02:25:26 PM
Unfortunately you didn't get the right viewers, users in this board already read a lot thread about how to not be a gambling addict, how to cure a gambling addict, signs of gambling addict, how to manage money, how to become a responsible gambler etc.

But there are still a lot addicts out there, take a look with people around you, one of them could be a gambling addict.
But in this forum, gambling addicts are more likely absent. Why would they waste time interacting in this platform if they are being obsessed of actually playing? People here are simply players who wants to discuss about gambling activities and that includes what's good and not in this industry. For sure everyone knows how dangerous it is to allow oneself be too hooked or attached with gambling but why do some people still fall in such situation? Greed and gambling ideologies.

Unfortunately, gambling is often misunderstood as a way to get rich quickly. We all know how fast money moves in this activity. You could earn thousands of bucks in a single game if you're lucky. Problem is being "lucky". No one has control of their luck and fortune and this fact is often being disregarded pushing people to live in this industry.

When to gamble and not? I'd say never gamble if you can't bear with the reality behind gambling. If you are still one of those who has ideologies of how gambling could make you rich then it is better to stay away from it as early as possible. Fact check: If being rich in gambling is an easy thing to achieve, why are many people losing huge amounts of money, properties, or even themselves on their journey? It should be an enough warning to all of us.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much does it cost to have your own Casino? on: February 26, 2024, 05:53:38 PM
Not really quite sure of it. But there are articles showing that it may be up to $500k or more. There will be people to be paid to basically run it and maintain it, developers and programmers, licensure or registration fees and more. Although it may vary on the people who will compose the platform. If you are a developer yourself then it could be lower, as if you will lessen the people you will be paying to have one. Also it depends on the game or services you will offer. Might not be the best answer you are seeking but I hope this will somehow be of any help. Most likely, if you are hoping to get your platform registered, then it would be making the capital bigger, which is what happens not only with gambling related sites, but also with other industries. However, given that restriction with gambling activities is more common in many countries, I assume that it is a factor to consider with the overall budget.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it ethical to break your gambling rules on: February 26, 2024, 04:35:45 PM

So this led me to ask the general public if I am gambling too much, although this excess didn't affect my finances in any way since I still managed to come out with little winning at the end of the day and at some level, my losses are still below 30 percent of my set out money.
Try going back to the reason why you implied and made that rule for yourself, and that would be the answer. Glad that you are doing well with your gambling expenses but gor sure there's a reason. As we all know how gambling works; things are not consistent. You might be winning nowadays  which is obviously a good thing, even if you broke your self-moderated rule, but how long would you continue? Consistency will be best if you are restricting yourself. Again, you won't do it in the first place if you aren't avoiding anything to happen. And for the same reason,  I suggest just securing the profit and to stick with the rule you impose. Do not wait for profit to turn into loss eventually. Keep in mind that losing is more certain  and we just tend to be lucky sometimes if we are winning on a rally. It will obviously and more efficient to be preventive of huge loss than to test your luck with continuous gambling activities. It won't always be holidays on our gambling careers. Not maintaining or following such rule we created will just more likely create a problem afterwards. Self discipline is a virtue.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Unusual Story that Reflects the Current Gambling Addiction Reality on: February 26, 2024, 03:21:39 PM

In this group a person shared a story of how a married reached out to her for medical assistance to support his wife terminal illness treatment. Instead of providing his wife's account details as requested, he offered his own. Concerned that the funds might be misused, particularly for gambling, the person offering assistance insisted on the wife's account details. However, the conversation ended there, with no further response from the man.

he stranger offering aid had no prior acquaintance with the husband. Why then was there apprehension that the funds might fuel gambling rather than support the wife's medical needs?

This short story reflects the current reality we live in.
Wait, how was it redirected to gambling? Indeed it is suspiscious of the husband to not offer his wife's account given that it's her who needs the help but to give benefit of the doubt, he might have no access of it however he should have explained himself than to just leave jist because his preference was not chosen. On the other hand, it may indeed be used to unwanted acitvities or things or it is just a make up story. Asking for proof on the giver's end would be valid in this case. It is a bit off also that the husband didn't say a single word rather than to please the person who was about to help, if he's being serious.

But going back, isn't it judgement that  the guy was thought of using the money on gambling? I hope the story is  more detailed 'coz it is really confusing. Possibility of bad intention is indeed there but why would it be assumed to be related in gambling, in an instant? If nothing will be ellaborated, this will just be one of the stereotypes of how bad gamblers are with handling money.
651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have this practice of gambling during one's wake on: February 26, 2024, 02:23:54 PM
I am familiar with this tradition and when I was a kid I do really thought that it is a bad thing and that people should focus more with the mourn and not with activities involving money or gambling to be more specific. As I grow up and learned that it is helping the family in the wake, and yes financially. It also adds "bond" to people who attended the wake in some ways. But there are people who are not having the intention to mourn; they're only visiting the wake because of these activities. Is it a bad thing? Morally, yes however no matter how we look at it, it is indeed legal and with approval from the family of the wake.

Gambling activities are often card games such as poker and a game 'bingo' if others are familiar with it. In my perspective, such activities also help to have people awake over the night to have things on watch, which is just one of the benefit of it. People may view it negatively but culture is behind this.
652  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many times we will make the same mistake? - History repeats Again & Again! on: February 25, 2024, 09:57:51 PM
Numbers don't lie indeed but this will depnd on your risk appetite as an investor. High risk means high rewards and this is the bottomline here. If you're an early investor of Bitcoin and you managed to hold it for years, or for this long, then for sure you are in huge profit. If you are after real estate investment, there are other ways to increase the projected profit. Perhaps having a condo unit and making it an Air BNB, which do you think will earn more? However capital would be bigger in this case but if it is consistency then this could be an option. With Gold, you could increase the value by physical reformation through accessories and such.

My point here is that you don't have to be one-sided with how you will make use of an investment. Either of these three would be a great choice however, investments aren't always a waiting game. If you're seeking for more then you simply have control of other aspects that could increase the gain you want to project. Again, risk appetite is the answer on which should you invest your money with, as well as your circumstances as an investor.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Bitcoin bull market? on: February 25, 2024, 08:37:07 PM
The simplest way I can think of this is saying that the bull run is the gaining time and the bear run is the losing time. So a bull run means a time where a cryptocurrency (like Bitcoin), or even altcoins are appreciating in their price again. And the bear run would be the exact opposite. So if you want to invest, you’d want to buy when it’s going down and sell in the bull run (which is what people are doing).
Great analogy  but a bull market is simply a period wherein most of the crypto market prices are in an uprise movement simply because many people are buying. Interest means demand, if something is being anticipated to generate profit then it could trigger such thing in this industry. FOMO could result to a sudden and a bit continuous price increase. Manipulation could result to a short term increase. While in bullmarket, it could be for months or for a year, the market prices are breaking 'ceilings' or previous market price "high".

The event could be news related, adoption by many companies, progressive development in this industry or anything that could create a 'hype' for this industry. It is something which will sound or actually be good for blockchain technology in parricular with crypto space.

One good example is Bitcoin halving. Its previous occurence resulted to increase in demand and volume to this industry in general. Now that it is again being anticipated, many investors are accumulating. The act of buying creates a tide pushing other people to also do so and so forth.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Ryan Bourland Cruiserweight 8 Rounds March 2 on: February 25, 2024, 07:41:46 PM
Bourland got this. Experience wise, he fought more obviously and he's been drunk with tough enemies. He's in boxing world for more than a decade unlike with Jake who is an influencer who became a boxer. Indeed Ryan has announced his retirement but his ge is still on the competition. He won't also not prepare for this for sure. Jake Paul is after his record as I observe; challenging big names which are out of boxing for years, or fighters in different ring. He's indeed good but a boxing veteran is something he should really take seriously.  Definitely would be tough for him but I hope he will give us a good fight.

And for Ryan Bourland, as I said, he won't do this just to give credits to Logan, I wish. It would be an insult to boxing industry somehow, especially for die hard fans. Jake is trying to get his name for fame. He has the talent indeed but experience is not something he will get in few years only. He may indeed give us a piece of his hardwork but a pro boxer is a real deal for him.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quick profit is the only reason why we invest in Altcoins on: February 25, 2024, 06:33:39 PM
The primary reason for choosing any investment is to maximize profit profit but when it comes to choosing any investment that is related to cryptocurrency ( Bitcoin or altcoin investment, the main aim is also to make profit but it is always a risk that is profit attached, you profit of there is a rise in the project but most times the reverse is always the case. To op, yes most investors invest in altcoin for profit making but it takes a great risk to make profit in cryptocurrency investment especially altcoin investment.
There's no quick profit in crypto industry. The market price of altcoins are indeed showing higher volatility compared to Bitcoin but that also means higher risk, meaning no easy profit will be earned. Altcoins are just as fine as Bitcoin, when it comes on investments, especially the big names in this industry.  Well, Bitcoin indeed seems to have a more stable market price but volatility is volatility. Whenever the market price of Bitcoin is increasing, altcoins prices in the first place follows, just with a higher rate but that will never guarantee an easy and quick profit.

The reason why investors are also hooked with altcoins is simple; as an alternative, as the name suggest. Bitcoin's market price is seasonal, therefore, in order to generate profit efficiently (as supposed to), then investors are diversifying to altcoins, to also spread the risk from this industry's price volatility. Yes, to earn more profit, but with no certainty of course.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: February 25, 2024, 05:38:33 PM
As per some studies, male individuals are more likely to engage with gambling activities. There are also other articles supporting this claim and stating that it is because male are more fond of sports and are more naturally risk-takers than female. The nature of taking the risk might be behind the idea why most of the time female gamblers are less in numbers compared to male and it is a normal thing even at the present. On my personal take in this discussion, females are just more logical; gambling has risk, therefore it won't make sense in the long run to engage into such activity. They more prefer assurance with things which could also be a factor to consider. Unlike with boys who are thrilled and more likely to be excited to gambler their luck for a good outcome. Gender in the first place does not play any role in gambling and also with age, as long as it is responsible gambling.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling games that gives you an exciting experience on: February 25, 2024, 05:15:10 PM
My all time favorite is sports betting. I have experienced playing casino games in particular eith slots and roulettes.  Been doing it for months and unfortunately, I haven't made any huge profit from those gambling games. Since I am into sports, I tried sports betting ad it really gave me the best experience and a new perspective in this industry. I got to enjoy watching my favorite teams with more excitement. I also managed to enjoy my bets regardless of the outcome because I am being entertained by watching the game itself. Profit to loss ratio is better as well since I am able to analyze the match ups unlike with casino games that only rely with my luck and fortune.
I prefer to playing slots games with small amounts of money. But I don't have favorite gambling game although I prefer slots games. I don't play too long or using big money because that can cause me gets a big loss. I prefer to use small money and just playing slot games for some time and quit the games after I feel it's enough to gambling. But I know that playing slots games need luck to win and that makes me play gambling moderately because I don't want to experience a big loss. Sometimes, I play Monopoly for fun but I am not have luck so I can't win the games. I choose slots games because I feel it's easy to play, just adjust your bet, and click the button.
Indeed there are people who just likes to kill time and they often prefer a "go to" gambling game or games which are easy and does not require that much of effort to decide with the amount they will bet and with where they would be placing their bets. Just pure preference I guess. It won't matter that much because risk will be present no matter what game you would engage yourself with.  What will matter the most is that you still enjoy gambling and that you are losing only amount under your risk appetite.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Have Different Perception Of Gambling Operators on: February 25, 2024, 04:48:59 PM
Maybe it is the difference with the amount we bet on lotteries than with other gambling activities which creates discrimination and intensity with impressions. There are also many cockfighting activities which are not registered which maakes it illegal, and could create a general point of view about it. Both are addictive to gamblers who bet that much. Also, you could lose more with gambling games that takes few minutes to get the result, which speaks for frequency of bets.  Impression in the first place is subjective, thus, it does not promote certainty; maybe to some there is a difference with the image, but there will be also people who would look at it with the same intensity.
I wonder why these two brothers receive different impressions when both are running a gambling platform
it's pretty clear why it's happening, while they are both running a gambling platform, the type of gambling they are proving is different. the first one is a lottery booth which is legal, and the second is cockfighting which includes roosters dying and is often illegal, also from my experience cockpit arenas are full of loan sharks which are usually illegal too.
Actually it is what I thought at first but I realized that not all cockfighting activities are illegal. There are tournaments which are registered. Proof? Food for those chickens are even having advertisements and are being promoted on nationwide television. There are also tournaments which are being aired on TV. There are just more instances wherein it is illegal and being pursuit by authorities.
659  Economy / Economics / Re: The Same way like money is created you can use this trick to become wealthy on: February 24, 2024, 05:12:42 PM
You're talking about some kind of law of attraction as they say. I think having a positivity thinking will definitely manifest into your goal and that's an important matter.
Having a positive mindset helps you out and it may seem to be a trick and a hack that really works but it needs to associate with hardwork, perseverance and having the never giving up mind.
Not just the mind but also our words are powerful.
It won't mean anything if there will be no committment with that promise. What about the phrase "Promises are meant to be broken?". Words are indeed powerful hut it depends on how it will be recieved and who will make use of it. It will just create a drive within you but it will depend on oneself on how he would make it happen but believing it won't be enough for sure. Circumstances may also take place which would be a hindrance meeting your desires.
Is there anyone in the world doesn't dream about achieving big?

Then, why only few can manage to achieve it while the others are keep chasing it forever or change their career completely for so many reasons.

Money is created out of nothing but as an individual, if you need money then you should be very clear in, how you're going to make that money in a year or 10 years or how long you have set your goal.
Money is created as a system of payment likewise with trading of goods way back then and not because someone just made it to happen; it took agreement between all people. However, indeed it is a good thing to have an achievable goal and not just to have one. The more difficult it ca be achieved, the more an individual will be struggling which could cause low morale which often yield to not being able to fulfill that desire.
660  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: February 24, 2024, 04:19:53 PM
Opportunities. In many countries, opportunities with professions and careers are lacking, most often with third world countries as we all know. Local governments aren't giving that much of support with professionals in various fields, forcing graduates to either settle with minimum wage and for those who has resources outside their country, they tend to choose working overseas for financial growth.  Qualifications are also not being met by the salary offers. In some industries, undergraduates are being chosen over graduates to lessen their salary expenses for workers which is another challenge in this discussion. Opportunities across countries aren't equal and also with circumstances.

Skillset of the graduate will also be a factor. Not only because you are a graduate of a degree, the best future will be assured already.  There will always be a competition with different professions; you have to standout among the crowd if you are seeking for success.
