Coinbase is now accepting payments for litecoin.
If more retailers accept alts, that could easily increase their usage volume and demand to a point where they're able to compete with btc.
Its retailers and services like coinbase who will determine how well alts perform.
Maybe the reason why LTC is skyrocketing now, I failed to buy when the price was low but I never regret because I also have my bitcoin increasing in value. Old alts has a chance, LTC, DASH, and ETH. |

There are soo many ways to earn bitcoin, just like our ordinary fiat. You can offer services with your talent or skill and collect bitcoins as payment. You can trade, buy and sell anything and accept bitcoin and you can mine. You can join signature campaign here also or join ICO with legit dev and so forth.
That is the most common way to earn bitcoin as we know most from this forum. But we can also earn bitcoin by selling goods, that way we can even sell to people far away from us. You can do escrow service too to earn bitcoin. You can gamble if you prefer that kind of earning. Invest it at some companies you would like. Common ways for people who does not wanna take risk, but for people who love more income they take risk, investing and trading is what they do. Me, I do both jobs and investing, it gives good outcome to me. |

I'm excited about this month getting bitcoin from signature campaign when bitcoin is to the moon and successful trading gets a lot of profit and also now it's hold altcoin because bitcoin rise causes altcoin fall a very awaited moment.
You could hold altcoins if you like also, you can convert your bitcoins to altcoins, it will give more profit than holding bitcoins alone. IF you have a good number of bitcoin it's good but coming from sig campaign, i think it's not worth it. |

I've discovered Bitcoin few days ago, but I am skeptical about few things, why would I invest money in Bitcoins at the end of the day,why would I convert money into Bitcoins?
If I want to buy stocks or invest money I can easily invest with real $. Why would I convert my $ to bitcoins?
If I want to gamble , I can simply gamble on websites that require $ as currency, why would I convert it to bitcoins?
What's the difference between Bitcoins and dolars? What does bitcoin bring to the table that real $ don't, less taxes, more income?
The very own title of the thread is mistaken, it ask about the differences between bitcoin and real money and not the differences between bitcoin and fiat, so it seems to imply bitcoin is not real money and even if you cannot touch bitcoin with your own hands bitcoin is very real. Yes and if you can buy anything by exchanging bitcoin then its a real money as we don't have an option to spend them directly but we can always spend them by converting to fiat so there is not much difference in both of them. That is totally true, and I have to agree with your opinion. We can treat bitcoin as a regular money, but it is just designed in a different fashion. You dont earn it by doing a regular work in life, but only through internet as a freelancer, or even by posting on this forum. Obviously, you have a an option to just invest your money converted into bitcoins, to make some return out of it. So i think that there is no more differences between BTC and fiat, but it is still more useful than regular currency. Where to find a very large range of jobs that you can perform and earn money. But as for Bitcoin's earnings, the situation here is ambiguous, because all the work in my opinion is somewhat specific, although there are some moments, such as company signatures. There is no politics involve if you are working for bitcoin because your decision will depend solely on what you think is right. It is risky but if the outcome is success you will be the one to benefit, it's pretty different from real job because sometimes promotions is not based on your performance but if you are close with your boss. |

Bitcoin is a long term investment and never expect that it will make you rich overnight so if you have patience to hold your bitcoins for a long term then any price and any time is the best to invest in bitcoins as in long term you will only get best and positive results on your investments.
I agree with that there's no such time is right to invest with bitcoin because every time is the right time as long as you go for the long term investment because bitcoin is the best for it because as you can see bitcoin price is growing every year as you can see the chart so maybe by holding it for a years you will have a huge earnings because the bitcoin is good for long term investment. Not only for the long term, it's easy to earn with small term holding too if the price move happens same as now with certain time interval. Investing gives the profit to the users, as it is growing as well fluctuations were happening which tends to move forward even if experience a fall in price. Yeah BTC can short term and long term but it depends in us on what decision will do. Short term is like a day trader (it will sell if the price just pump). And long term is a nice way to make our hand become STRONG even the price dumps. Well anyways its more nice that if we trade in aktcoin and invest in growing altcoin I do invest in short term and long term because that's the way it should be, bitcoin has a better future but let's also take the opportunity to earn active income when the situation tells us to invest. |
