6502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan's Bitcoin Law Goes Into Effect Tomorrow on: March 31, 2017, 07:08:24 PM
As we all know, KYC itself violates one of the base principals with which Bitcoin was created. We'll see how this pans out. I guess we might have slightly less (real) movement on Chinese exchanges...

In a lighter note, after legislation, Japan doesn't seem to be hostile to Bitcoin... Which is a big plus.

After you buy the bitcoin from the exchanges, you can mix it, so that nobody knows it is from you.
6503  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price after ETF 2500$? on: March 05, 2017, 03:42:51 PM
Hello i saw on centrabit app, they wrote article about the ETF.. we will see 2500-3000$ each BTC?
check out here:
http://www.centrabit.io/

It is certainly possible. Consider that the ETF would mean that anyone can go to their local bank and buy the COIN shares. It doesn't matter if you are a regular blue collar worker or a wall street shark, or an huge billionaire mogul... as long as you got a bank account im sure they will be willing to buy it for you.

This means massive amounts of money coming in. The marketcap is tiny, so price can go up quickly.

If it doesn't pass, I think the dip will not be that noticeable.

If the ETF is passed, it is possible. Otherwise, next year.
6504  Economy / Economics / Re: Currency v Property on: December 24, 2016, 03:24:30 PM
i would like to view bitcoin as currency, perhaps as crypto currency in internet world as other payment and connected with fiat in real world and not as property. because property for me is like something that visible to be seen and feel with hand. and for this reason, the bitcoin can act like money in the economic global.

People mostly use bitcoin as a currency or maybe some of them use it as an investment as well and i feel if you invest into something that would be called your property, so basically it is currency and property both, currency in a sense that it can be used as money and property in the sense that it is also an investment asset.

I also use Bitcoin for investment. And even though the legal status cryptocurrency in my country is not defined, I think, that Bitcoin - a property. I can use this property as well as other values

In my country, it is a property.
6505  Economy / Economics / Re: Currency v Property on: October 23, 2016, 05:03:03 PM
No country has a same opinion as another one when talking about bitcoin. This kind of technology is something new and such cases never appeared before hence it is not even recognized by majority of countries and laws. It doesn’t matter if it’s classified under any of the class Asset, Commodity or Currency  because it is yet in evolution stage and it needs recognition at this stage to grow and survive (against possible government restrictions).  I would say, We need uniform identity through eyes of law on international level.

Yes, many countries are unable to determine what is actually Bitcoin. We need to reach consensus and adopt international rules that will determine the status of cryptocurrency

There is no need for a country to determine the fate of the bitcoin. It will be determined by a big community.
6506  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-29] Accenture: Blockchain Immutability must be Reconsidered on: September 29, 2016, 05:24:59 PM
"Bitcoin’s underlying technology, the blockchain or distributed ledger technology, has swept across the financial sector since early 2015 as major banks and financial institutions began to establish “blockchain labs” and “research centers” to exploit its potential in the traditional financial industry.
Hundreds of millions of dollars have been invested into the technology and startups that are utilizing the blockchain technology to improve banking services. Although the industry has not a single working demonstration to show, Accenture executive Richard Lumb believes that immutability must be eliminated in creating blockchain networks.
Technically, if immutability is taken away from a blockchain network, its features and capabilities replicate that of a traditional database. If a blockchain network is not open sourced, powered by miners globally, centralized, and not immutable, it does not serve a point in implementation since it is vulnerable to security breaches, alterable, and not resilient to external hacking attacks.
To understand the fundamental error in the development of private blockchains or “non-immutable” blockchain networks, it is important to understand the factor behind Bitcoin’s success. Bitcoin remains the world’s best performing currency due to its infrastructure that eliminates a central authority or network administrator. That means, not a single user in the Bitcoin network can control or manipulate its transactions. More importantly, its decentralized nature allows the network to become immutable to changes.
At first, banks and financial institutions aimed to implement the blockchain technology to settle transactions and assets more efficiently, in terms of costs and time. They also wanted to store their data in a more secure network, to prevent from being affected by cyber attacks and security breaches which they have failed to deal with over the past decade.
The pathway of banks and financial institutions’ development of blockchain networks has been:
Immutable ledger
Controllable ledger
Non-immutable smart contract ledger
Non-immutable smart contract private ledger that grants network administrators full control over the network.
Essentially, if anyone in the network gains control, it defeats the purpose of utilizing a blockchain network. For instance, Accenture’s new invention, called the editable blockchain, is technically identical to SQL database, in the sense that they are both:"
6507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on a 4870, is it possible? on: September 23, 2016, 05:24:17 PM
You can run the old algroithms which do not use more than 1GB memory. You cannot run the Ethereum.
6508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth bubble is about to pop on: September 11, 2016, 11:52:12 AM
ETH and ETC counting their last days, already we can see they are slowing down.
We could see major crash of one of those..And whales probably awaiting new fresh blood..
Maybe you're right, but at the moment they are managing to pump the two cryptos, even with the recent increase in the number of coins in circulation (the coins drained from the DAO).
it seems there is good support of the Ethereum both the ETH and ETC. I thought the ETC would drop a lot in the past few days, but it was quite stable.

Maybe the hackcer has made a deal with the big ETC whales that he will not dump the coin, so the price is high.
6509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth bubble is about to pop on: August 27, 2016, 04:56:44 PM

Their dollar price might be going down at present. But their bitcoin price is more or less stable. When the summer holiday finishes, the price will go up.

I think the ETH price will rise a lot when the Etheruem Foundation dumps the Ethereum Classic to the market.

The Ethereum Foundation still has millions of Ethereum including the ETC. So when it sells it on market, it might crash the price.

That could be the reason for the recent price drop.
The ETC price has dropped over 50% in the last few weeks. It could drop more.

If the big bitcoin holders who support the ETC negotiate with the hackers, then the price of ETC could rise.

I think the hacker will not negotiate with other people. So he can manipulate the price at this sole will.

That is right. By not cooperating with other people, he can use the ETC as a ATM machine and get money out of it very easily.

We need the words from the hacker to tell us how he is going to do with the ETC. If that is for good cause, I might buy some.
6510  Economy / Speculation / Re: How can we make bitcoin's price only RISE and never FALL? on: August 10, 2016, 03:43:47 PM
Huh? theres nothing like that. Its impossible for price not to drop even a small amount. Fall is always there after a rise and rise is always there after a fall thats how price works, economy rather.

I think it is possbile for the bitcoin price to rise year after year if there is no big bubble. But it is difficult for it to rise day after day.

We can make the bitcoin to rise year after year if there is good mass adoption. But we cannot make it rise month after month.

I think so. The bitcoin price is volatile at the moment, or in the next few years least. When more people use it, it will be stable.
6511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth bubble is about to pop on: July 27, 2016, 05:29:13 PM
There are two Ethereum now. The Ethereum hard for and the Ethreum Classic. Which bubble do you think will pop?

I think the Ethereum Classic (ETC) will be attacked by some people as it is an easy target with low hashing.

The ETC price dropped 40% since 24 hours ago. Somebody said they will put a buy wall of 0.0001, it is not there.

The ETC price has risen 300% in the last 20 hours. So it is in big demand. It might be a good investment.

What justifies such a demand? Good news or bubble effect?

Somebody is interested in buying the ETC. That could be just a pump as not many people will support it.

It is difficult to say if many people support it or not. That could be just a pump and dump like many scam coins.
6512  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: July 12, 2016, 05:57:14 PM
i see but we can't guaranty that after 2020 the bitcoin will be priced 10.000 euro because its a market and we cannot predict exactly what will happen in further. if people keep working like they are doing now then yes in 2020 bitcoin can surely reach that limit

If there is no major flaw in the bitcoin technology, the price will be much higher than now, maybe $50,000.
6513  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: June 30, 2016, 10:09:58 AM
By 2020 XBT will be worth about 5 oz gold or about $125,000 USD

It is very possible. I think the price of bitcoin could rise much faster than the price rise of the gold. It could be 10 oz gold.
6514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: June 13, 2016, 06:27:52 PM
If btc continue to rise you will earn a lot in next 20 days not 20 year just
Seem every weekend we have increase in price

Actually, I do not wish the price to rise too fast. I still remember what happen after the November 2013 rise.
6515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth bubble is about to pop on: May 29, 2016, 10:41:47 AM
The Ethereum bubble has already popped, it has dropped from 0.033 to 0.023. It is in correction phase.
6516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: May 21, 2016, 03:25:02 PM
They say the bitcoin will be 10.000 in the year of 2020 do you think so? I don't by the way how can he rise
that much in such a small period. If you look at the last years he didn't rises allot so don't be to happy about it.

it's not reasonable i think stable at $5000 is enough

Damn you know 2020 isnt that far away right lol.

So to think anything near 5k seems absurd, and that would mean its a easy $10k for someone hold 2 btc.

2020 is 4 years away from now. The bitcoin price has more than doubled from 2009, so it doubles every year, it will be $7000 in 2020.
6517  Economy / Speculation / Re: How can we make bitcoin's price only RISE and never FALL? on: May 08, 2016, 07:14:28 PM
The bitcoin will go up and down in the short term. But in long term, the price will only rise if it is developed properly.
6518  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: April 25, 2016, 07:06:53 AM
The people that is already using Bitcoin have a high expectation of the currency and that is because they want the value high.
but you never know what will happen with the value and that is the problem.

I use the bitcoin to buy things and do some trading. But I hold most of my coins in expection that it will rise.
6519  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: if you have free electricity and 10k on: April 03, 2016, 03:06:50 PM
If I have free electricity and 10 k money, I will some graphics and mine the Ethereum. It is the most profitable.
6520  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: February 26, 2016, 01:12:11 PM
It might be very difficult to catch 1 BTC on next 4 years.

In four years, the bitcoin price could reach $10,000 or more, it will be more expensive when the fund managers buy it.
