662  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scammers using Exodus wallet fake email on: July 24, 2023, 09:07:48 PM

If you receive the same email don't click or you'll be diverted to a scam site. You'll be threatened with funds being seized if you don't deliver your Exodus Wallet private key. They're scaring people with lies so if you've received it delete it. Don't worry nothing will happen as long as you don't click.
In this phishing message, they claim that they have updated the terms of service and they need a mandatory requirement and know your customer (KYC). Exodus Wallet does not require KYC from customers, but third parties of exchanges and some functions require KYC, and this is definitive proof that the message sent is 100% fake. And the other thing at the end of this message is that they say that they can block the account of users who avoided doing what they sent them and seize all their funds. Exodus cannot, and nobody can't do this because Exodus Wallet does not store personal information, and any user has full control over his wallet and its security. "Your keys, your crypto"

Quote from: exodus.com link=topic=https://www.exodus.com/support/article/37-how-do-i-get-started-with-exodus
As a non-custodial wallet, Exodus gives you the power to control your digital wealth. This is why we do not store any of your personal information, or your wallet files, on our servers. This way nobody will ever be able to freeze, seize, or access your funds.
The solution is to ignore these messages and move them on to the junk.
663  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Fake Ripple #Xrp airdrop website is available online. on: July 24, 2023, 08:05:57 PM
Since XRP trending back in the crypto market, XRP fake giveaway scammers are back in business. And now because of Twitter's paid blue badge, it is becoming difficult to identify who is a scammer and who is a real user. Currently, most of the Twitter accounts that are promoting various fake/phishing websites are blue badge accounts, due to which newbies are now getting more confused and victims of scams. A lot of fake websites will come up now using Xrp name, so everyone should be careful not to fall into the trap of scammers.
Any trending news in the market, of course, is exploited by scammers who publish these fake giveaways in their accounts verified by the blue badge and publish these phishing sites in popular hashtags on Twitter. I see that the blue checkmark feature has increased the rate of fraud on Twitter, as they delude users that they are legitimate by using this badge. Therefore, beginners believe them at first sight, after seeing the blue checkmark and the number of their fake followers, and through the large numbers of retweets and likes of the fake giveaway tweet; in addition, no one can reply to the scam tweet because only people who the author of the tweet has mentioned are allowed to reply, so they prevent negative responses in this way as well.

Thank you OP, for sharing this warning. I hope newbies do their research first and don't believe anything on Twitter; even official accounts can be hacked, so they must be careful and make connecting their wallets the unlikely option.
664  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Bitget+ الشرق الأوسط on: July 23, 2023, 12:49:03 AM

665  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please help me avoid yet another scam. on: July 23, 2023, 12:15:02 AM
A question OP, How do you link up the three profiles?

Well, the fact that jimmy0143 has a looked announcement thread is highly suspicious and could warrant a negative tag, but I still don't see how they are connected yet with clear-cut evidence.
Not only is jimmy0143 the one who locked his announcement topic after he was exposed, but the other two accounts also, and I think they provide the same service, but with different contact accounts; I am 90% sure all accounts are multiple accounts of the same scammer.

Please help me protect others from this professional scammer.
To avoid another scam, you should not deal with newbie members because they can create new accounts with ease. They did not build their accounts and reputation for years just overnight, and if someone's service is attractive to you, khaled0111's advice would be ideal as you deal through the escrow service so as not to fall into their traps and send your money first and then receive the block.

667  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: IMPORTANT regarding BC.GAME! on: July 19, 2023, 10:12:48 PM
Update : After 33 days of account in restricted mode, they accepted all the documents I sent except of my selfie holding my ID + paper so I sent a new one. Hoping it won't take another 1 month to get the last document accepted!
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the selfie, they just want to delay it intentionally it seems.
This is good news that they accepted all your documents, and there is only one step left to complete the verification in full.
You can contact their support again in order for them to try to expedite the verification process.

I hope that you have adhered to the guidelines that they mentioned in their article regarding a selfie photo of yourself holding your ID, I will put a quote for you below with some of what they mentioned, but you have to read what they wrote entirely in the fourth step in their article.

Quote
Do's:
Ensure your face and the information on the paper and ID are clearly visible.
Make sure the date written on the paper is the current date.

Don'ts:
Do not wear sunglasses, hats, or anything that obscures your face.
Do not write incorrect or illegible information on the paper.

668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A check on your wallet on daily basis can earn you some dollar on: July 19, 2023, 09:42:21 PM
This token has done 3883217% in some days without me observing at all. Even though this was a rug pull but let assume it real that is how I'm going to miss out the great opportunity.

CONCLUSION
It's a good deal for one to check his/her wallet at least once in a day. This will help you to control the funds in your wallet. Old token may do good within minute, one can take such advantage to make good cash out of such forgotten token.
Yes, I knew it was a rug-pull currency. The scam currency team manipulates liquidity and creates a fake pump. Not all currencies in our wallets are legitimate, as there are many scam currencies and rug pulls, so before the owner of the wallet tries to sell them or buy more amounts of them (under the illusion that it is an excellent opportunity and it will be achieved for him profits), He must do his research first before making any decision. The point is that each of us reviews his wallet daily, as it is a semi-good idea. Through Coinmarketcap or Coingecko, we can use the Watchlists feature for the favorite currencies that we invested in order to be constantly informed of their market prices and everything related to them, without the matter being manual and without paying any attention to any scam currencies in our wallets.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I understand meme coin good or bad position? on: July 18, 2023, 10:33:51 PM
How can I understand a meme coin's position in the current market? Is there any way to tell if it will be good or bad? I have seen MEXC exchange add many meme tokens daily. How to identify a good token from here?
To determine a good meme coin and knowing its position in the market is very difficult in light of the presence of hundreds and thousands of meme coins that are launched and listed in the MEXC daily; in addition to that, the meme coins are very volatile and very risky, and even if you find a good meme coin that you invested, this does not guarantee you that you can make profits through it because if the hype of this coin disappears, its price can drop sharply. Most of the meme coins are manipulated in the price of whales, as they are currencies that have no uses or real projects. Anyone can create a meme coin and create a site for it with a simple interface and social media accounts, and that's all, so I advise you not to tire your mind and invest in the dominant alternative currencies in the market, which have value and practical uses.
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: July 18, 2023, 09:20:42 PM
Yes, I trust the USDT currency as a dominant stablecoin in the market; it has a huge market cap, and it is the third largest currency in CMC, and so far; it has survived for 9 years since its launch in 2014, and it is entirely different from other algorithmic currencies, although we should not trust a centralized stablecoin by 100%, because before there were many FUDs spread around USDT about its stability, transparency, and the Tether’s headquarters, and there were many cases of temporary de-pegging. Still, soon the USDT team processed the price to reach 1:1 against the US dollar, so it is better to diversify our wallet with other good alternatives of stablecoins if we have large capital and do not leave it in the USDT coin only.
671  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Question from a newbie - raising $100 in BTC for charity on: July 17, 2023, 10:16:30 PM
I will donate the $100 to charity as well - I don't intend keeping it and I'll convert the Bitcoin to USD $
I appreciate it's a weird request, but I'm looking to do something fun and to challenge myself for a good cause - can I get Bitcoin by doing advertising and promotional work and use the amount raised to help a good cause?
And why not keep Bitcoin and gain experience first before investing in it? It is possible that through the $100 that you invested in Bitcoin, you can make good profits through it, and then you can donate part of it to a charity and part of it to keep for yourself; in this case, the benefit will be dual, it's just my opinion for you because it seems through your words that you do not know the great profitability of Bitcoin.

I appreciate it's a weird request, but I'm looking to do something fun and to challenge myself for a good cause - can I get Bitcoin by doing advertising and promotional work and use the amount raised to help a good cause?
Yes, you can, but you need accounts on social media that contain thousands of followers and be real not fake or bots, or an account with a good rank here in the forum, or you can, if you have skills and experience in any of the known required fields, you can create your services and publish them on the marketplaces for services sites.

The idea of obtaining $100 in BTC is easy for an experienced and skilled person, but you, being a beginner. Suppose you do not have any portfolio of previous work or skills. In that case, it will be difficult at first to take this amount, but learn and develop your abilities and skills, and with time you will be able to obtain this amount and pay it to charities or whatever goal you want.
672  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you have opinion about Bitcorse exchange? on: July 17, 2023, 09:21:23 PM
Hi all,
Recently, someone recommended me a fresh exchange from Hong Kong. Unfortunately, it's so new that I haven't been able to find much information about them. Maybe someone from Bitcointalk met with https://bitcorse.com/ and could say something about them?

Ps. I know that we shouldn't use new, small and little-known exchanges, but I have my reasons for being interested in them.
Whatever your reasons, I advise you to stay away from this exchange platform that does not have sufficient information, and the age of its domain is one year and 82 days. There are no reviews or ratings about it, even the Founder & CEO of Bitcorse on Linkedin whose name is “Mehdi Faraj” does not indicate that he is a citizen of Hong Kong. His account has been inactive for 8 months. He has not posted any updates on his account yet. He does not seem to have previous experiences; this is just what I found. As for the rest of the team, they are anonymous. Also, what the members indicated here about the terms of service being plagiarized for another exchange platform, makes us put the red lines around this suspicious exchange, which I believe in a large percentage is a scam.
673  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Iceriver.io Review of SCAM website on: July 15, 2023, 09:42:49 PM
I'm not gonna jump to conclusions either one is legit, I noticed the .io domain was also just registered recently (5 months ago as of today)[1]. Just thinking of the possible scenario of the same scammer making multiple copy versions too to make some sort of repressions that the original is only one of them.

I found one review that attached proof of payment[2], the bitcoins were sent to the (what I assume) Mexc account deposit address.
If what you mentioned is the deposit address of the scammer admin of Iceriver, then the OP should contact MEXC support to check if the deposit address of this scammer belongs to the MEXC account. If, indeed, the scammer who stole the $48,000 has a MEXC account, The OP must create an account on this exchange platform, pass the identity verification, and then provide the following proof and documents to MEXC online support or via email:

Quote
**Supporting documents that are sufficient to prove that the reported address/account is associated with your crypto assets, including but not limited to: screenshots of your digital wallet/account transfer history, transaction ID, transfer address, and a detailed text description of the case + Proof of police acceptance of the case within 48 hours of submitting the supporting documents.**
After MEXC receives the above information, then will freeze the stolen assets and the scammer's account temporarily if the documents and proof provided by the OP are sufficient.

674  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: RLBcoin.com(Rollbit Clone) Is A SCAM, Please Stay Away... on: July 15, 2023, 07:54:29 PM
Yeah, the most vulnerable are the newbies who might not have the slightest idea that this is a scam, I hope they will come across this thread, and not only avoid falling prey to this bad eggs, but also stay vigilant and get immunization against future and similar scam strategies..

The idea of scamming unsuspecting victims through fake airdrops is  a very popular strategy which I personally assume that by now, every body should be familiar with, but for the sake of new people joining this space, we must not stop warning when the need arises.
Despite the fact that these strategies have become popular, you find that there are beginners who still do not know them. Every day, thousands enter the crypto market, especially those who register in the forum. It is possible that they lack knowledge and experience; perhaps if they encounter a simple phishing site like this, they will not know the distinction between it and the official domain of the Rollbit platform, and they will be confused and end up losing their wallets and getting a bad impression, so publishing these warnings and their top ranking in search engines, and reporting scam topics and these phishing sites will be a good thing for them. Thank you, OP.
675  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam alert - rollcat.io on: July 13, 2023, 09:20:30 PM
Hello everyone,

I love that wheel on the website, so i deposited 0.03bnb for testing fortunately i won 0.05bnb at final stage(Means i wagered 1x) and requested withdrawal of 0.05bnb on 9th of July. At the moment 3 days over it's still processing,I just waited 2 hours for confirmation but nothing happened so tried to contact admin via chat but no response and emailed 4 hours later regarding withdrawal but no support from rollcat.io

Thank you for this warning about this new casino, I think they do not have a team, and the owner is the one who carries all the work on his shoulders, even though the casino interface is very simple. Perhaps the owner did not bother to hire developers or a customer support team, although you suffered a loss, but fortunately, it is not a large amount.

I hope that they will solve your issue as soon as possible after their representative in the forum sees your case, which some respected members have highlighted in the topic of their announcement.

For me, I do not prefer to wager even a dollar on new casino platforms that have not received ratings or feedback from users who have already tried them.

677  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitstarz.com will not let me withdraw on: July 12, 2023, 11:31:04 PM
What made you sign up for Bitstarz among all the casinos around?
In my opinion, due to not taking the time to do the necessary research and being drawn into YouTube channels that promote BitStarz as a paid promotion, blogs as well, and even what I saw is that the BitStarz team is doing shill reviews on Trustpilot. Their scam casino platform has a rating of 4.5 out of 5. They write these fake and positive reviews to trap and mislead players and to make their reputation look as pure as water.

First and foremost, the OP shouldn't have relied on a single source in making the decision to deposit money and play at any casino he came across or heard about; there are a lot of scam casinos out there that look legit. I hope he contacts their support and also writes his case on Trustpilot and attaches the link of this thread so he might find from them a solution to withdraw his deposit if they find that the OP poses a danger to the false reputation that they are building and understands from them how things will go.

678  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I got scammed by Freewallet.org for 120000 USDT TRC20. SCAM alert!  Don't use th on: July 12, 2023, 10:25:51 PM
Then I found out about a lot of the same cases all over the internet about the way to perform a scam. Even I agree to pass the verification process because my money is totally clean, but in order to pass verification, you need to enable 2FA authentication. Then I try to enable it in my account. Google Authenticator gives me the code, and Freewallet says it is the wrong one. So they made everything so that you couldn't restore your funds.
Open the Google Authenticator app and tap Settings > Time correction for codes > Sync now

If this method did not work for you, they are the ones who did it so that you could not pass the verification, I do not even have a 10% hope that even if you succeeded in passing the verification, you will be able to withdraw the $ 120,000 that you deposited because Freewallet.org has a terrible reputation and there are a lot of affected customers who have had what happened to you and lost their capitals.

I am sad about your loss, and I hope you will do your best to expose and defame them and try to seek the help of a trustworthy lawyer to help you get your right from them.

Check out the following list of lawyers in Estonia that I found on Gov.uk, and don't forget to read the disclaimer of liability and do your research: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/estonia-list-of-lawyers/list-of-lawyers-in-estonia

___________________

A little status update.

Instead of 2 people, we will be adding 3 new people to start next wednesday.

Note:

We are specifically looking for quality posters who have a genuine interest in the forum. If you feel like you are a quality poster but there is some rule that you are not comfortable with, it may still be worthwhile to apply (and maybe make it clear in the application that this is the case).

It is a sad fact that a lot of the posts on this forum are being made with the sole purpose of making posts to meet some post requirement and lack any meaningful value. We are not after such posters.

I've gone through applications and have a few "maybe's" but I strongy encourage more applications to be sent!

EDIT: I am also quite certain we will be adding some type of a bonus or an improved weekly payment for quality posters, esteemed users etc. as it is clear that one fixed pay amount does not cover every case.
