BALLS & 10K swap has already been done, if you missed it there is nothing that can be done btw both the BALLS & 10K wallets don't currently sync making your coins worthless anyway.

Nothing about the swap in any of the multiple threads.  The website still says the swap will occur soon.  Most threads are locked and can't be replied to.
And now your saying sorry your SOL.  Sounds like a great way to run a business...

This being the new all inclusuive thread should have had an announcement.

So now I see there was a new thread swapped into the mix.  I watched the old gorillateeth thread and never saw the new one.

if you missed that swap its on you. sorry.
i missed updates and shit before to but this swap as far as heads up goes was idiot proof.

I can tell you exactly how I missed the swap.  I was following the balls thread.  Spots announced a new thread for all further discussion.  I started following that thread.  He made a mistake opening the thread, wrong attributes or something.  and just swapped in a new thread.  So I'm just following a dead thread with no updates.

Website that was supposed to be used for updates was never updated.

So way to many places for information, and nothing being kept in sync.  I guess I'm out for now.  Sad

Oh yeah he did. I missed that completely, sorry.

On JD in the alpha versions, the stop is deliberate. It sometimes happens that the bet is executed but gets stuck on the server or lost on in the internet somewhere. So the bot stops betting instead of retrying the bet for a very good reason. Imagine the following scenario. You Martingale with a base bet of 1 clam.
1:L
2:L
4:L
8:L
16:L
32:L
64:L

1024:L
2048:L
4096:W, but bet gets lost.
4096:L Bot Retries the last bet
8192:L
You Bust.

So while it is annoying, It is in the best interest of the user/player that the bot stops in this case.
It would be ideal to have the bet method return the bet result, but unfortunately, that's not how JD socket is set up, so while i can change the api to return the object, it would not be any more reliable than it already is. Instead, it would just complicate things in the api and slow it down as a whole.

the reset stats button is a bug in b10, it's been fixed in b11.

Starting a thread for the programmer mode has been suggested to me before. I have no intention of starting one myself, but feel free to do so yourself and post the link to it in this thread. I'll probably keep an eye on it.

I understand what you are saying about its better that the bot stops than to possibly double a bet or skip a win. Running the bot for just a day I can tell it's not really usable with JD currently, unless you are sitting there watching it and refreshing the page after every hang. I'm using the latest stable build, but if the alpha is better I will try it. What would be ideal, would be for the bot to automatically refresh JD if it hasn't received a response after X seconds, check the bets to match up the last, then continue. If you are worried about the delayed bet issue, you could mitigate that in two ways... have a minimum time to wait between placing a bet, waiting for response, then re-attempting. If you wait 30+ seconds, it would seem pretty safe to assume the previous bet did not go thru. Secondly, you could have a setting that does not re-attempt betting automatically above a threshold. I don't care if the bot doubles a .00001 clam bet by mistake if it means the bot will run and not wait for 4 hours until I get to my PC to see it stuck. But if its up to 50 clams, sure I don't mind waiting on me.

Hope that makes sense!

I agree with your frustration.  I have yet to see a bet not go through.  Every time I check the bot I can see it made a bet and is waiting for a response.  When I check my bets on JD I can see the result of bet the bot is waiting on.  For a straight martingale you might be able to just lose the bet, but for most of the stuff I'm playing around with I would rather get the correct info.

For myself it doesn't sound to difficult.   I could imagine an API call to get result passing in a nonce.  Then the bot could check and see if thats the one it's waiting for.  Or a get last result call.

How easy it is to make suggestion when you don't know what the hell your talking about....   Cheesy  <-- that's directed at me...

I'm sure Seuntjie will figure it out.
664  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBot (Martingale, Labouchere) for Just-Dice, PRC, 999dice and safedice on: May 12, 2015, 08:25:17 PM
Seuntjie,

He mentioned Just-dice.  Very erratic behavior on there.  I've used both B10 and B11 and stay running anywhere from 1 minute to several hours.  Usually around 20-30 minutes before it hangs.  If I go to the betting tab on the website, I can see the result of the last bet, but the bot doesn't get it.  If I just place a bet manually from the bot, it picks up where it left off and continues.  It seemed to get better when Doog added the throttle (bet delay) back in.  But it seems that was short lived.  It would make sense if you had a return last bet result API call.  Then set a timer in the bot for x seconds and it the timer pops call for the last result and see if you missed it.

I've got a problem now on B10 where I can't reset the stats.  I've found that after several thousand bets, betting slows way down.  If I reset the chart that helps a lot, but I prefer to also reset the stats at that point.  (It makes the new chart more dramatic...  Smiley )  for some reason it's not working now.

All in all an excellent bot.  Keep up the great work.

Have you thought about creating a separate thread for programmer mode enthusiasts?  I've been having a blast with it.  One thing I love is that you can set variables on the LUA console while the bot is running.  I can change my risk level on the fly, when I'm feeling lucky.  or dial it back down when I want to just let the bot run.

Thanks for all of you hard work...

I agree about just replacing the bet, But if there was a way for the bot to request the last result from the server.  Then the bot could check to see if the last bet was processed or not.  I'm assuming based on everything I've seen so far, that the result is just not being returned.  Whether it's something on the JD side, or something getting lost in windows.  I can see that the bet was placed, according to the JD website, but the bot gets hung, and the results never show up.

Cool on the reset stats.

And I'll start a new thread at some point.  When I get a few spare cycles.
665  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBot (Martingale, Labouchere) for Just-Dice, PRC, 999dice and safedice on: May 12, 2015, 12:15:10 PM
is this actually helpful? isnt martingale a flaw system? since it goes by bankroll.

All gambling strategies are flawed and will bust eventually at a casino with an house edge. Winners know when to stop.

Sorry if this has been discussed before. Is there an auto-reconnect feature I am not seeing?

Trying to get this to work with just-dice and it keeps getting stuck after connection issues. Just clicking "roll hi" or low at site seems to fix most of the time but if I'm not sitting there it just stops. Bot seems really cool though.

Hope zig-zag is fixed in next release Smiley

The auto reconnect depends on which site and which version of the bot you're using.
It sounds like you're running 2.5.5, probably on 999dice. It has an issue there where it fails to send the bet for some reason at times. Annoying as it is, v 2.5.5 is not getting any maintenance, also mean zig zag isn't getting fixed for that version.

You can try the version 3 alpha bot. It is much more awesome than 2.5.5.
If you are using 999dice, I suggest build 10: http://seuntjie.com/dicebot/dicebot-v3-alpha-b10.zip
for any other site, there's build 11: http://seuntjie.com/dicebot/dicebot-v3-alpha-b11.zip

666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : now with added CLAMs : Play or Invest on: May 07, 2015, 05:55:53 PM

In theory capping it sounds like a good idea, until you realize how many really small bets are being placed that are going to win.  50% sounds reasonable, but making it a percentage will make it last forever.  Maybe make it 50% or X clams, whichever is greater, or the Bot balance .  X could be any amount.  IE 5 clams.  I'm rambling so...

If X is 2 clams  and the balance is 10 clams  Max payout would be 5 clams (50% rule)
if the balance is    3 clams, Max payout would be 2 clams ( X clam min rule)
and if the balance is 1.9 clams Max payout would be 1.9 clams (balance rule).

Bots don't always win.  And it won't really last 'forever'.  With 50% it can still easily lose a big majority of its balance.  And since there are so many rounds its quite likely.  What you want is a bot where the balance will last for awhile so you don't need someone to keep tipping it.  The balance can easily disappear with 50%.  And implementing the X rule on 50% just makes the balance disappear faster.

I guess I was applying this to my idea's about what the bot was intended to produce.  I was assuming (Yea, I know what that means Smiley ) the Bot was trying to entice players to make bigger snipe bets trying to win the pot.  I thought the payout was 10X the bet.  This is just the max payout.  A .00000001 bet would still only get 10X or .0000001 payout.  The idea around the minimum max and whole balance payouts was to keep the incentive there for larger bets.

Just my 2 cents.  I play around with a bot, but my wagers are so meager I wouldn't notice if I ever hit the snipe number... Smiley

First, let me give credit where it's due. The idea of the BetSniper game came to me as a modification of the milestone giveaways that v1rtu0so hosts. I always thought it was a cool idea and it got everyone in chat riled up. Then, I also wanted to just try out JDCAPI (https://github.com/seuntie900/jdcapi) by Seuntjie. With his api, I was able to build this simple game within an hour. I cannot say enough about how great his work is. So, thank you both!

Now to answer a couple questions that everyone keeps asking me.

1. No, I have nothing to gain. I want nothing. I am GIVING you clams. You are welcome.
2. No, I don't want to tip you so you have money to play the game. Silly asses. However, I do want to clam the right to "Sniper Bullets" because I got a laugh when I came up with it.
3. If you see anyone thanking Deb for her contribution to the game, know that it's an inside joke. Come to the chat room and ask, someone will tell you the funny story.
4. Yes, you can donate to the BetSniper by using the /tip 32 Amount command. Please type /tip in chat if you need more information.
5. No, I am not for hire to make you a bot. Blurt out a cool idea and I might do it.

Have fun. See you at Just-Dice.com

Maybe you should consider capping payouts at 50% of the bots bankroll.  It'll last longer that way.  Actually I would recommend a even lower cap.

669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake on: May 07, 2015, 02:25:14 AM
You will miss out on staking if the computer is hibernating. You could also run it on something small like raspberry pi I'm sure. Dunno if you could get it to run on the router or not.

Alternatively, you could stake them online such as by investing in JD.

To clarify, a computing device with the wallet will need to run non-stop with a good internet connection in order to mint a block? Meaning basically every time I resume the OS or come back from a bad internet connection(and I switch IPs), I start from ground zero in terms of staking?

I don't see how it could not run on my router, if I can get the dependencies all the right versions.

Other then being mature, the age of the coins has no bearing on staking.  So once You've had the coins in the wallet long enough, you would start right back staking each time you resume your computer.  You lose out on the chance to stake while your hibernating, but your coins do not lose maturity.

It's like the lottery, you can't win unless you have a ticket.  And you can't stake unless the wallet is online and trying to stake.

Nevermind,  Somehow I had the get server seed box checked.  Unchecked that and everything took off.

Just tried running the bot on PRC.  Doesn't seem to be working.  I can see the bet being made on the website, but the result is not being returned to the bot.

Any ideas on this one.  Tried V3 B10 and my copy of B11.

NEW....

Downloaded the zipped B11 bot.  Still failing but now three is a message at the bottom that it "Failed to place bets after 3 retries, stopping.  Please check network and bot settings"

I can see that it really did place 2 bets according to the website.

so does it work now or not?

Yes, it's working now.  under view->setting  try to get server seed, was checked.  I unchecked that box and manually placed a bet (with the bot) and my programmer mode program took off.

Now that I just looked again, that is still checked (get server seed)  but everything is still working ok, so I'm not really 100% sure what the problem was.

Any info on the current network situation ? Khashier showing old data. Transactions not getting through.

I'm curious as well, I have a transaction that's not showing up on the network and a deposit address at poloniex that's not receiving this morning. None of my transaction is showing up at Khashier either.  My own clam client is showing 0 network connections... Seems like something is not working somewhere in the clam universe.

I'm having problems as well. Tried to send from Poloniex to JD and 8 hours later I'm still waiting.

Edit: Apparently, the node went down and has been brought back up. I got my coins and everything's fixed.

Can you imagine what the reaction would've been if bitcoin was out of service for 8 hours Smiley

From what I understand, both khashier (the block explorer) and poloniex's CLAM wallet (the biggest CLAM exchange) were down for hours overnight. I haven't yet been able to get in touch with the poloniex wallet manager to find out whether the two events were related. I can't imagine why poloniex would have a dependency on khashier. I guess it's possible that some weird transaction triggered a bug that affected both khashier and poloniex and brought them both down.

Just-Dice and the CLAM network as a whole both stayed up and working fully throughout. But with the only block explorer and the only significant exchange both out of action for hours, it would have looked to an outsider as if "CLAM is down". That wasn't the case.

Edit: I spoke with polo's wallet manager. He was unaware that there had been a problem, but when he checked his their CLAM wallet it was showing that it was only connected to a single peer. It's likely that the single peer went down for a while, leaving polo's wallet disconnected from the network.

We really need more people to run their own CLAM wallet, and open a port (31174/TCP is the default p2p port for CLAM) on their firewall to allow incoming connections. Of course, if poloniex themselves didn't have a "no open ports" policy, they wouldn't have this problem...

Edit2:

That is inaccurate.
10k and Snowballs are being equally traded in for GorillaTeeth coin. 10K & Balls will be no more, as planned.

MMXIV will still be its own public coin, but the MMXIV community has repetitively talked about having a stricter, unconventional coin limited to the more series players here. Gorillabucks is this attempt.

The community here is different from other cryptos, Its a colony of coins all backed by one another. And I still feel that we are moving forward in a innovative and unique manner.

-No disrespect intended.

MMXIV was originally billed as the elite coin...  If you read back in the thread it was shooting for a 1-1 pairing with BTC.  Then, out of the blue, it's turned into a high POS coin.

My analogy....   I toured a deluxe condo site,  There were some units finished and they were very high end.  There was a big hole in the ground that was going to be a big swimming pool, and large tracks of empty fields, those were going to be golf courses, and tennis courts.   Most of the first stage was sold out.  But the developer didn't think they were selling fast enough, or to many people complained that the price was too high.  So he changed things up mid project.  The empty fields became a low cost trailer park.  That big empty hole was used for the septic system.   Those that bought the high end units, tough luck.

Will Gorillabucks be the next condo site?

condo people earned very high interest, made more, and sold condo for profit making them very happy like me with mmx   Grin Grin Grin Grin

I made a profit, but it wasn't what I was looking for when I signed up.  I wasn't expecting to sell so soon.  I was more looking for a coin I could invest in for the longer run.  As long as people keep their eye's open and their ears to the ground, these coins have made money.  But for everyone that makes money someone is losing.  Just putting my 2 cents in.  And now you know what that's worth.   Cheesy

Having the same problem.

   Downloaded new wallet.
   Created coin.conf, with all info.
Start wallet, it connects but doesn't sync.

I get 2 connections at one point but the block count is never updated.  Debug is almost empty.  Just the start date and time.

   Seuntjie,

I was going to poke through the code and se if I could figure out that tip problem on PRC, but I can't find the build 10 code.  Do you have a pointer,
or any ideas on that problem?

            Thanks Bob   (Chilly2k)

I updated the file linked in the previous response and the tipping seems to work as far as i tested, just sync your git repo or download the source again and compile it

in the lua code, you need to use tip("accountID",amount), for example: tip("357",0.10015)

Any tips on compiling this?  I think I read at one point you needed to compile under windows, and that it required something else.  Just a quick pointer would help a bunch.

                    Thanks

you need visual studio 2010 or newer, You can try visual studio 2013 community edition, it's free and it's what I use. Just open the solution file (dicebot.sln) with visual studio.
You might need to re-add some references, but all the dll's you need is in the debug\bin\ folder.

then just click start or press f5 to compile once you've opened the solution

Works like a champ. that fixed the tipping problem.  There was a problem with maxRows being defined outside of the addbet function.  I copied it inside of the function and everything worked great.  The visual studio seems really powerful, once you get a chance to play with it.

    Thanks again...
