Major Flaw with Bitcoin Forum Moderation: trollish threads keep popping up.

Major Flaw with Bitcoin Economy: unsecured "banks" keep getting "hacked" into.
662  Other / Off-topic / Re: test on: September 30, 2013, 11:50:03 AM
nothing will happen.. does it ever?

That's what they said last time and then we had the whole disaster with the Robn'flox of Delta Pentauri and the diverging timelines. Man, that was a mess to undo.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin copying wallet.dat allows sending coins twice on: September 30, 2013, 10:57:26 AM
.. at least not any more than you would be able to send them twice by yelling "HERE, I SENT 'EM!!" from your balcony twice.
This one made me laugh.  Cheesy

niko has a run of great posts lately.
664  Other / Off-topic / Re: test on: September 30, 2013, 10:53:26 AM

You're too late. Bitcoin has already been taken over by wanna-be-bankers and would-be-dictators.
668  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnC news on: September 30, 2013, 09:26:05 AM
This is a stupid thread. How do we know if there is any new news? We don't. Create a new temporary thread for every news article, that is the point of a forums.

How would you know if there is news if a new thread was created every time? Check forum threads or check watchlist... seems about the same to me
Well, maybe the guy who started this thread will update the first post as news appears?  And post the update in the thread as well?  Also maybe if we stopped complaining, this thread could be productive?

He's keeping the second post updated, yes. Preferably he would also add the last update date to the thread title.
669  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Next difficulty ~176,000,000 ? on: September 30, 2013, 09:24:28 AM
My guess: 245MM. Do I get a cake if i got it right? Smiley

Yes.

But you're not going to be right.

Also the cake is a lie.

671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: did anyone else get this email? this is a scam I think.... PLEASE READ on: September 30, 2013, 09:18:22 AM
Do you even need a question mark or "I think"?
This is the defintion of scam, the claims are totally absurd, 500% return on 100 Btc in one hour with no risk whatsoever...yeah sure.

But but but Bitcoin!
672  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crowdfunding to confront Mark Karpeles of MtGox on: September 30, 2013, 08:43:32 AM
Probably would have better chances looking for him in Havana, Cuba
673  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Supreme Leader of North Korea sends greetings to Western Bitcoin users on: September 30, 2013, 08:32:34 AM
Please don't vandalize Supreme Leaders Glorious Thread with your tales of magic solarwind scams.
674  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coin2Pal? on: September 30, 2013, 08:14:36 AM
Bottom line: It's either a scam or it will get shut down very soon, or both.
Actually they've been operating for about a year now, so at this point I think it's safe to assume they are legit.

Yes, that's what people have been saying about mybitcoin, bitcoinica and pirate too.

You seem very "engaged" in trying to paint them as legit. Why is that?
675  Other / Off-topic / Re: A Fully-Sarcastic Thread on: September 30, 2013, 08:11:44 AM
You called?
676  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL 600GH "Monarch" already postponed to February! on: September 30, 2013, 07:56:12 AM
Well,
considering my not so good english,
let me explain with the help of a graph.

As you can evince, the sarcasm is effectively accelerating so I have to admit you was right.

But we cannot not consider the effects of the Sarcasm Reward Halving, that as you know double its value every 10,000 posts.

Yeah, I'm going to need to see this on a log scale.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: did anyone else get this email? this is a scam I think.... PLEASE READ on: September 30, 2013, 07:47:10 AM
anyone asking you to send them btc = scam

anyone saying they will make you money = scam

rules to live by.

Good rules! But, what if somebody claims to have a machine that makes money...

Sounds like (a sic)k scam to me.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So what happened to Satoshi? on: September 28, 2013, 04:18:30 PM
It's kinda fun to say he's watching us Smiley

Good god, the poor guy. He'd probably be facepalming so hard and fast, if you figured out how to extract energy from that you could power a half-ton of ASICs.
679  Other / Off-topic / Re: Battle of the movie clips: filmshool in a virtual box on: September 27, 2013, 07:58:22 PM
This is something I know you'll like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4S03Aw5HULU

I lack the time to write much about it, as I'm on the run right now, but this little piece of surrealism had more of an impact on me than Un chien andalou or L'Âge d'Or.

This is the one and only piece of film that ever managed to elicit an emotional response of fear and utter and complete "wrongness" from me. I didn't sleep the night I first saw it as the pictures would not leave me alone.
680  Other / Off-topic / Re: I just scored a 43 on... on: September 27, 2013, 07:28:09 PM
I've played it about 7 or 8 times. I'm now breathing a sigh of relief that I have committed myself to not playing it anymore. Life is better.

Da-Du-Dee Dah-Duh-Doop Da-du-dee-du. You know you want to.
