I've sold all my ETH when they reached 0.015 BTC. I feel bad about it now that they're over 0.017, but frankly I feel safe. I don't like it when I'm in front of something I don't understand. There's just no reason why ETH is gaining so much value so fast. Can anyone explain what's going on? The market is irrational. Hey, the quicker the rise, the quicker the fall.
Actually it's quite simple. Bitcoin's dev & the foundation are failing over & over to reach an agreement about scalability. Ethereum has a clear & defined roadmap. This right here is why I could see ETH becoming THE new dominant coin given a long enough time frame. Bitcoin was the first, but I've never thought it would be the ultimate. Not saying for sure it's ETH, but given a long enough time frame (that part is important), another new coin is what will reach real mainstream success. That being said, this definitely isn't the time to buy ETH. I'll be swooping in after all this dies down in a month or three. You'll be "swooping" in months later to buy at a much higher price |

I didn't say it would be jubilant, nor am I excited about others losing money. But simply put - the world is not big enough for two anonymous coins when one has clearly superior tech and a non-shady distribution. I won't go through an exhaustive list of Dash's sins here - it's been beaten up. Suffice it to say, it must eventually collapse: either fast or slow. My bet is it won't happen slowly. Capitulation will come quickly, and I would not want to be one of the hard working true believers in Dash when that happens. I intend to leave Dash alone after today, but I wanted to say my peace just in case any were listening and could be convinced. Say my *piece. Not say my peace. Let he who is without typos throw the first stone. Or the fact that ethereum developers are free to develop the platform without being held to ransom by the whims of whales will let them create a better network and greater prosperity and benefit to mankind.

I've been doing the opposite. Mining ETH and converting to BTC. Whoever is pumping this is bringing back the days of profitable GPU mining for BTC.
How is it profitable if you are converting to BTC and the rate ETH/BTC went from 0.002 to 0.017 just this year? You actually lost a massive amount. He's just trying to put a pro bitcoin spin on something. If you aren't hodling ETH now you are gonna regret it. |

Ive got to say im a bit gutted i never bought in at the lower prices but that was never going to happen anyway. the price its at now it hard to see it going much higher so i cant really see many more people buying in. you never know, i could be wrong but i ceetainly wont be buying in at current prices just to get dumped on.
Dude, are you aware that this is the same exact quotes I've been fed when I got in at 80-90k? I know many people bought ETH at 20k but that doesn't make mine "expensive" now doesn't it? I do agree we don't know how high this is going to go, but a similar scenario could've taken place when BTC was around $20-30 or more, no way people bought BTC at $100 you would say. Well they did and now it's 4 times that price. I remind you that Bitcoin never actually got adopted, there are very few bitcoiners still, if it was massively distributed the price would be close to 10k or more... Ethereum has that huge potential if it actually gets used by companies and dapps are developed. I'm not saying that an Ether will cost $100, $1000 or more, but if it really becomes a new standard for companies, banks, institutions and app developers, then 72 millions of Ethers is absolutely nothing.
