It can't though.
The Bitcoin blockchain doesn't have any processing power, it can't run distributed applications without sidechains and a million other complications. The ethereum network acts as a world computer allow distributed applications to do computing directly on the blockchain. It's revolutionary.

i don't buy shit and scam coins, all these altcoins are created by hype, speculation and use to scam each others. in real world these altcoins are useless. so i don't buy useless air shit, which can go -90% in instant when these airhead morons figuring out the code can be created for free by honest people. I disagree (surprising I know) the same way Bitcoin changed money forever, ethereum will change everything else. The impact is going to be as big or much bigger than Bitcoin. I wouldn't be pumping any old shit trust me. I've been a Bitcoin only purist since before you knew what a Bitcoin was. I would never be seen dead with a Litecoin or dogecoin. But I heard about the ethereum project at the crowdsale. I never thought they would pull it off because the project was far too ambitious. But now, they did, they pulled it off. If you spend a bit of time and read into it, you will gain the same insight into the potential. I hate scams too, and this forum is full of scams. But ethereum is not a scam. It's a project funded by the Bitcoin community and ran by honest members of this community. The future of Bitcoin is uncertain right now for a number of reasons. Ethereum will end up a lot bigger than btc. I know it's heretical to say that here but the plain truth needs to be spoken. |

Totally not a trader, but I've been buying since 0700AM Eastern. And I just bought a good amount at .0039. I don't think we're going to dump either. I may be long on it. But we're in the middle of this new asset pump and potentially an epic LTC pump, I'm not really sure to do strategically. I hope it works out and all of you are careful. Please don't allocate more funding than you can afford. This outcome of trying coordinate chaos will be an unmitigated disaster,,,and I can't fuckin' wait! LTC will go nowhere. ETH will suck market cap from all shitcoins as its the best chance of a moon situation on the market. I'm not even talking about a huge pump I'm talking about literally taking over the world. The same potential as BTC had but much more insidious. |

I believe in the future there will be one dominant blockchain. I used to think it was BTC. But it's stagnated and there is too much bad press out there. I think the actual one-coin will be ethereum currently. It can do incredibly impressive things that Bitcoin can't do. It's going to wow people. Bitcoin is easy to ignore. Ethereum will do things that really affect people's lives (in a good way). And the best thing about it, anyone will be able to use that power. The realm of possibilities for what one human can do will change profoundly. |

Now we must be close to 5 mil ETH already having changed hands since trading began and I don't think the rest ICO investors are interested in current 2.5x returns if they didn't ship to exchanges earlier. Weak hands and profit takers getting bought out fast and the biggest accounts sitting still. 5 mil having changed hands as in 5 mil NEW coins or 5 mil circulating coins? Could be just a couple thousand passing from hand to hand otherwise? I wouldn't buy now, never buy the hype.. What hype?
