https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3244275.0

a) NO SOLTAR LOS BITCOINS, ABRIR RECLAMO URGENTE EN LOCALBITCOINS

662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ads on: November 26, 2018, 05:44:04 AM
Why we don't see advertisment about bitcoin technology and the diffrence between it and other payment systems , i know miners and traders who only know they can make money with btc but don't really know what is it or what it can be used for , we need some community driven ads all over the web to tell ppl what really btc and decentralized payments is to get real investors not just bumpers jumpers

Bitcoin it's decentralized, so users do this work. instead of asking why? Do something to change this, maybe it will help the price in the future.

Maybe you can create a community that can handle this Crypto-revolution. This is the best moment to start creating value for Bitcoin and crypto.

Not when the Bitcoin price was 20K$.

Most investors jumped in while btc price approching 20k were just interested in the profits of trading or mining or holding , no one really use it for something useful , bitcoin isn't just a make money fast , it's a revolutionary idea that should be advertised they way it is , i only said this so it may pull the trigger of a good idea for some trusted members here in the forum , also sorry for my english Smiley

Yeah, I can agree with you that Bitcoin it is a revolutionary Idea but last year a lot of people joined just for money, to make a quick buck with BTC, ETH, and some ICOS and there's something more awful they want Bitcoin to be regulated by governments.

They believe after the government proposes a clear patch of rules to trade and regulate the whole ecosystem, they will see institutional investors come to put a big part of its money in this instrument who is disrupting it's industry something that I'm very cautious.

They don't want to lose their high fees, they don't want to lose their control, all they want in the end it's to destroy bitcoin and all the freedom created this last ten years.

Why I do believe that just check the last speech of one of the main head in the FMI.

they believe they can manage cryptocurrencies better than our decentralized communities.

They are even starting a WAR in the media about that, check the last article of NY Times, talking of Why cryptocurrencies price plunged this year?

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/21/technology/cryptocurrency-price-drop.html

Quote
PS:  "Governments could get into cryptocurrencies, and do a better job of managing them."

664  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is exactly the reason why bitcoin value falls right now? on: November 24, 2018, 06:25:21 PM
Anyone knows what is really the reason behind of falling bitcoin value? Is there any news or article that you can share here guys? I am also confused if I still want to hold my bitcoin or just sell but if I do that, I will lose a lot just like to those who already make panic selling.

No bro, there isn't any news about Bitcoin.
Just a friendly reminder, What it was the value of Bitcoin when the year 2017 started, 600$ right?

Well, it's not a surprise that Bitcoin has been declining it's since January 2018, what you were expecting the Bitcoin value rising forever?

This is only a healthy correction, From my perspective, the Bitcoin value still has a chance to plunge to the levels of 3000$ - 1200$, or maybe this 4000$ level is the final support, which I doubt it is.
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin forks. Bitcoin family. on: November 24, 2018, 06:17:22 PM
Those forks have been destroying the concept that there are only 21M of Bitcoins by creating more fake money, Yeah.. I know maybe the users were supporting those forks to make a quick buck.. but where forks happen there's more wealth created out of nothing.
666  Economy / Speculation / Re: List of Reasons that Explain the Price on: November 24, 2018, 01:22:28 AM
Ok I am trying to make a list of reasons that can explain why the prices of BTC  are falling

1- Black Friday

2- Just it happens because it is a "volatile market"

3- Market manipulation by some whales

4- Lost of trust on cryptocurrencies

5- Hacks and robberies to some BTC users

6- Panic selling

7- Another cryptocurrencies emerging

8- Higher cost of electrical services

9- Christmas times

What other reasons do you think can explain the fall of the prices?

It's like the reason for January, It's the new Chinese year, It's the China ban, it's the ICO scams, It's the failure of the ETF and so on.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad News for miners in Noruega on: November 23, 2018, 11:50:30 PM
Following the fall of the prices of the Bitcoin, the government of Noruega has stopped the Electricity Subsidies From Bitcoin Mining Farms. Jon Ramvi, CEO of Oslo-based blockchain advisory group Blockchangers, said: "less mining in Norway will reduce the prices of electricity for companies and people residing in Norway, meaning that we reap the benefits of these resources locally instead of giving it away to Bitcoin miners.”

So bad news for our friends in Noruega with no electrical subsidies and with BTC on low prices...

Article:https://cointelegraph.com/news/norway-withdraws-electricity-subsidies-from-bitcoin-mining-farms

The idea of mining Bitcoin is being profitable and help the network without any subsidiary, why? Because any government that it's losing the control of its wealth I mean, central banks could refuse to sell cheap energy at any moment like this to put its efforts to shut down Bitcoin something that has never happen before but In the long run. That's why miners can't be complacent because they have cheap energy to make a profit in a bear market. A government refusing to that could easily shut down or at least put in danger the network, something that governments can afford to do.
668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 25% of affluent millennials hold crypto on: November 22, 2018, 11:41:27 PM
So apparently 25% of affluent millennials hold cryptocurrency - are you in this category? Why do you hold crypto? How long have you been involved in crypto?

Source for the numbers is here : https://finance.yahoo.com/news/25-affluent-millennials-hold-cryptocurrency-report-162205944.html

I'm in Bitcoin, I started two years ago when bitcoin price was 600$ then today I'm still in profit despite this bear market and obviously, I have sold some BTC at the top.
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The opportunites rounding the current market bloodbath on: November 22, 2018, 10:07:34 PM
The power of $6.8

In mid 2017 to early 2018, a lot of persons were complaining about how high the bitcoin price is, that it too late for them for join the race, now price is declining and people are still complaining!

Let me tell you a story

Back then in college (2014) I was so poor, and yet I know about bitcoin, but I was facing financial challenges, so I could not invest in bitcoin, even when I don't have any bitcoin to trade, I was always in the market!

A day came when my kid brother sent me some money worth approximately $9, from the $9, I invested $6.8 invested into  bitcoin, during this period, the bitcoin price declined from $700-$200+!
I started trading cryptocurrency with $6.8 with some satoshis I accumulated from faucets.
Today, the $6.8 i invested in bitcoin has given me a new life and a new house of my own.

Don't complain about the current market price, there's nothing you or anyone can do about it, utilize the benefits around it, people are making thousands if not millions of dollars from this bloodbath.

Sorry , you're full of shit.

Don't lie to people , you did not make that much from $6.8 bucks.

Even if you purchased at a low of $200 and sold at $20000 peak, that is only 100X the original amount.

Meaning your profit was less than $700.

That won't even buy you a decent hooker, much less a house or new life.  Tongue

Maybe not a new house, I can agree on that but maybe he was able to change the state of its actual house.

676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Roger ver the only person who to blame right now? on: November 21, 2018, 11:18:38 AM

Roger Ver is The Main Player Behind This Hash War Thats Been Going On Between BITCOIN & BCash ABC

This is The Guy Who is Supporting BCashABC Most
This is The Guy Who is The CEO of Bitcoin.com Website

and Bitcoin.com has its Mining Pool Who Provides a Significant Amount of HashPower to The BITCOIN Network

Whereas The CEO of This Website is Supporting BCash ABC and He Knows That Bitcoin.com's Mining Pool Can Play a Big Role in Securing The New BCash ABC's Blockchain

Henceforth! What's Happening Now is All The HashPower from Bitcoin.com's Mining Pool Who Were Supposed to Work for BITCOIN Blockchain, Now Working for BCash ABC Blockchain

as Roger Ver Already Announced That BITCOIN's Hash Power Can Be Directed to The BCash ABC's Network so Miners are Following This

He Only Wants to Secure The Bcash ABC Blockchain By Providing Utmost Hash Power That is Being Used in BITCOIN's Blockchain

That's Sad For BITCOIN
IF This Thing Goes for Longer Then BTC Will Dump Towards 4500 or Even 4000 Donno Where it Will STOP.

It's pretty sad and maybe some Holders are buying its fud, but there's something positive after all, BITCOIN CASH destroyed its brand and there's no way someone would say again BCH ABC it's the real Bitcoin wtf???

That's why in first moment it was forked bitcoin, because.. core isn't following the patch of the original BTC, them that caused a second war between to kids with money and high EGO CW and RV and JW

Because Bitcoin isn't too much like bitcoin SV?? WTF, after all those players entering in the game in the middle of 2017 or January 2018 had never experienced the first bear market in his life, and secondly, the FUD from CW don't have anything to do with BTC only with its own altcoin.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Highest Trading Volume in the World for Bitcoin on: November 21, 2018, 10:25:27 AM
Yes The United States is the first with $1.44 Bn (22.77%) and the 2nd is Russia with $1.05 Bn (16.55%). The United Kingdom the 3rd with $738 M (11.67%) and Venezuela the 4th with $707M (11.18%). China is the 5th with $622M (9.83%)

It is really weird that China is in 5th place
Asia is the continent with the biggest highest trading volume $2.07 Bn and so far more than $6.5 Bn has been traded on localbitcoins

For more information visit: https://totalcrypto.io/bitcoin-adoption-trading-volume-country/#Bitcoin_Trading_Volume_by_Country_8211_Chart

As a Venezuelan citizen, I expect this volume to has a sustained resistance in those levels, since our county has become more aware of cryptocurrencies and of course Bitcoin. You only need to saw the volume in 2017 and compare it with 2018 it's insane, despite the bear a  bear market.

678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: conspiracy theory on: November 21, 2018, 10:08:23 AM

...

So instead of making a profit in 5K$, they could make a profit with 3K$? Also, the 7nm asic developed for Bitmain... is like having two s9 with the same electricity consumption so maybe it's 50% more profitable?

So after the release of the asic to the public, the price went down quickly and it will until 3k$-4k$ as the sending day approach?
679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2018, 12:34:46 AM
Prices have been on a constant decline ever since this year began. There's been FUD all over the place, and governments have been cracking down on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In addition, there have been several hacks which have also contributed to the decline in the value of the whole cryptocurrency market. As such, many people have lost their faith in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, as they've lost a lot of money.

Despite this, it seems that most holders would not give up on Bitcoin no matter what. But, if Bitcoin keeps declining in value until it becomes worthless, then long-time holders (like me) would become disillusioned. For those who want to protect their investment, there's the option to sell Bitcoin into USD or exchange it towards a stablecoin like Tether. However, even Tether has lost its peg (although in some occasions it heads back to $1) sometime this year, which means that not even stablecoins can be trusted.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Will it be Game Over for Bitcoin? Or will everything go back to normal soon? Huh

First of all what's normal for you 20k? if you have Bitcoin since... 600$ or 500$ you would be worried? So.. I don't think you're long-time hodler if you were you would't asking this.

There always has been FUD in this ecosystem since it beginning, Just imagine those people who bought at 10$,20$,30$. they didn't worry itself when bitcoin declined from 1200$ to 100$.

But man to be honest what's normal for you?  that it's the question don't feel bad for the price of bitcoin, Feel bad for you by don't understanding the game of speculation.
680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why does the Bitcoin price keeps nose diving? on: November 21, 2018, 12:27:11 AM
Because Bitcoin price isn't ready to start pumping it yet, and.. Bakkt has been delayed to January so there are not good news for anyone.
